Durante's No Frills

We used curb side pickup at this location and found it super easy. Order through the app, book a time for $3, and follow the instructions to pick up your order just inside the doors. No walking around aimlessly, and much less contact.
No Frills has great price points and this location had great plant-based / vegan options. Tends to be a location that has next day order pickup available unlike others in the north york area.

Lots of ppl doing last minute Christmas shopping I was picking up last minute things for my mother, but I must say the line was very orderly and fast.

No frills, Durante, s is a fantastic store.where u get all fresh stuff, like vegetables, case of water so cheap and very comfortable place to shop. Thanks

This store is located next to the Yorkgate mall and just across the road from Jane-Finch mall. It is a poor but safe area. You will find a good variety of vegetables, nuts and fruits. But, watch out for the expiry date on the products, as I noticed on two occasions expired products on the shelf. The store offers hand sanitizer on entry. Face mask is requirement. I frequently shop here but was really disappointed today to see so many people inside without masks or not wearing them properly. They hired someone to wipe down the carts, but no one to enforce masks! Smh

Very very crowded, just ran In to get 3 items but the lines for the registers were all around the inside of the building! Sorry dropped the stuff and left. Get more tellers!

What ever we want to buy they don't have it. And the grocery are so old, the price is up every day

I dont understand how a large grocery store has empty bins of fruit on a saturday afternoon, and the ones that are there are all spoiled. The vegetables do not look fresh at all, and prices have gone up. Have shopped there for many years, but the last couple of years quality has gone down. Planning on switching supermarket, it's unfortunate because I am a PC member.

It's ok, I just don't like buying fruits and veggies from No frills as it's not necessarily the best place for produce but overall the store is good

During my most recent visit. It was the first grocery where I have not seen anyone disinfecting the shopping carts outside. That should not be allowed considering how many stores in the area have had their employees test positive for covid. Management should seriously look into that.

It's ok. The staff are helpful. They need a PC pick up option though as they don't offer PC express pickup

*** update*** bought norman sue dhal pouri and when I opened the bag there was mold on the dhal pouri's. Today is April 22 and the expire date says May 1st. I am not buying this again from no frills. Please check the food you buy from this grocery store, before eating. You can get sick and they clearly do not care. Probably put whatever expire date they want.

Hit or miss with this no frills. Sometimes they have fresh produce sometimes they do not.

Produce and fresh eatables are never restocked and many times sold out. Can't even check online. So it's always hit or miss when going to shop, rest okay. Only good when they restock it, which never happens uniformly.

I was on there earlier today, the direction of things is still new to many folks and crazy at times. Sandra M. Was excellent at giving direction. She also has great customer service. I had a lot of groceries and was blocking one side of the belts with the cart I used. Sandra was polite and suggested how I should place it to better to expedite other customers while I was bagging my numerous bags. She is professional, knowledge and I know from my experience she is an asset to your store. Get work Sanda M.

An ok store to run in to grab a few items. However, the produce is always empty or you'll find that whatever they have out is near scrap, sometimes you'll get good quality produce depends on the time you go in. Meat dept needs to reevaluate their meat.some items need to be reduced to clear. Lastly there are always line ups. Prior owners did not have the store in this manner. Defintely room for improvement here.

Went there found a pack of meat that was open the manager of the store gave me every excuse you could think of why it open

The staff is very nice and friendly. They need to pay attention to expiration dates. I shouldn't have to throw things out just because it's more of a hassle to bring back.that I bought a day or two so. And people when you visit here if you don't want something don't leave things out of their place.put it back.reason I should find what used to be frozen seafood in the pet section that's a huge waste of food. I honestly continue to shop here because it's close to my house and for the most part I can get what I need but honestly you guys need to keep your store a little bit neater and cleaner.

Im suprised at all the good reviews. They have the worst produce selection. I recently bought mushrooms, grapes and strawberries within 2 days they were all moldy. The grapes turned brown. I even took my time looking for the best ones. I bought pasta and when i cooked it. It was all broken. A few weeks ago the rapini had all yellow flowers on them. Who picks the worst produce for their store.its pretty sad not to mention a waste of money.and also i can't count the number of times I went there and they had no cases of water.they also have expired items make sure you look at the dates. Usually you have 2 days before they expire. That's why we have no bread this week.and the farmers market muffins had green mold on them. It is a clean store and the people that work there are really friendly so there's that.

Managers need to hire more cashiers
It's always a line up and it's not like it's super busy
No reason for in the middle of the day to have huge line ups
Other than that for the most part decent food and supply
Quality is okay I wouldn't by meat here over priced for low quality

They've just implemented a policy that bans people from bringing in reusable bags, carts, trolleys, strollers, and backpacks. What are single moms supposed to do? Or older folks who can come out to the store infrequently? What about folks who don't want to buy plastic bags? It's a direct attack on poor folks in the community and it really sucks.

Does pretty well given small size. Frequently very busy with lines into the isles. In recent years, they have switched to daytime stocking which blocks the aisles and makes movement more difficult. However, they can now usually keep sales in stock whereas they were frequently out of sale items in the past.

***Buyer beware*** I'm amazed that this store has such good reviews. There is so much spoiled food in this store I am disgusted. The first few times I noticed it was the bagged salad that was always nearing expiration. I began to make a point of checking expiration dates and found so much food either past or nearing the expiration date. This store has no respect or regard for the health and safety of its customers.

May be busy on the weekends, but it's not really busy during the week and even early during the morning it's not busy on the weeks.also close to the mall and the bus stop so it's pretty good.
