Dynacare Laboratory and Health Services Centre

According to the Dynacare website, this location is open ordinarily on Tuesdays from 04: 00 to 07: 30. I came there today at 06: 00, and I would like to say that it was a bad experience, except it was no experience at all - the location was completely closed with no signage or other indication regarding why. I was not the only one waiting for care - others had trusted the website too and like me had to turn away. Looking now at reviews for Dynacare at this location I see that this occurrence - we're open but actually we're not - appears to be common. Not impressed.

When they are actually open, it's a good clinic. But over the past six weeks, I have had three or four instances of showing up to this clinic at 7: 30 (when they open) and only knowing when I got there that they were closed for the day. Today being the latest example, despite their website saying 10 MINUTES BEFOREHAND that they would be open at 7: 30. The website only changed right at 7: 30, giving patients who lined up or who were on their way no time to adapt.

It's one thing if this is advertised ahead of time so that patients can plan to visit another clinic. But to have this happen so many times in such a short period of time is really unacceptable, especially if the patient has no way of knowing. I don't have time to commute 30 minutes to another clinic and wait 30+ minutes, and neither does anyone with a job.

Never open, it really messes me up when I have a tight work schedule and need to get blood work done and they just aren't open when they say they're supposed to be. It's so unprofessional and has caused me so many issues, they have randomly been closed upon showing up over five times now. It's never posted anywhere that they are closed except for on the door so you have to make the whole trip there just to find out it was a waste.

This is the only lab in this area. Ya, all medical stuff involves waiting (it's frustrating). But people, IT IS THE ONLY LAB, cut them some slack. They are open quite early and it's empty, so it is convenient to go before work and classes. Take it from someone who has to get bloodwork every couple weeks, just get up 30mins earlier, jmj

This was the best experience I have ever had getting blood work done. Quick painless and not even a mark on my arm!

Went for blood work there today and I was very happy with my experience. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. I have had some very bad experiences at other Dynacare locations but this one was excellent.

Fast service.place was empty at noon on Thursday.staff were polite, helpful, professional. Second time using this clinic and they were amazing.

Impossible to tell when it's open or get ahold of anyone, ever. Staff are rude and don't disclose when there's fees for testing, etc. Multiple issues with this location

I had a great experience, the waiting time is beyond their control, but the staff was very nice and I was treated with care. I will recommend this Dynacare Laboratory at 100 Marie-Curie Private #203, Ottawa, ON K1N 6N5 because I had a great experience during my last visit.

First I must say the staff are very nice. They do have limited staffing (when I was there, they had a total of two persons working) and lots of people waiting. No appointments taken, so first come first served. They opened at 7: 30, and I got there at 7: 28, but there were 6 people ahead of me already. Waited about half an hour, and then the lab work was done in maybe five minutes. The waiting room is not very big either, so that makes the waiting seem worse. But as I said, the staff seemed very nice, and the person who took my blood was very friendly and professional.

Made an appointment for tetanus vaccine one month ago, but haven’t got reply yet. If you really want to find medical treatment, avoid this place or you want to risk your life.

Had a little bit of a wait but once it was my turn I was done in 5 minutes. Staff were friendly and pleasant.

An 1.5 hour wait for a 2 minute blood test (there was 11 people in line). They didn't accept my electronic form from my doctor via email PDF, needed to go elsewhere to get it printed. Refused to put me in the lineup while I went to get it printed even though they allow others to register online to skip the line with less then 5 second wait time (happened to me 2 times during this visit). Absolutely rediculous! Everyone is on lunch at the same time (during lunch rush hour) except 1 person and there is 1 lady who has no clue what she is doing.

The lab was supposed to opened at 7: 30 it is 7: 54 and the lab technicians cannot open the door because security has to bring the key. What a service.

I've been here twice recently.

I'm only giving four stars because one of the younger staff members made an unprofessional comment about a patient that she had seen earlier in the day. Aside from that, my experiences here were good.

The first time I arrived at 7: 30am, and I was the third patient to be seen. The middle-aged woman who drew my blood that time was a pro. She was so gentle and kind, and I didn't feel bruised afterwards.

The second time I went just before noon, and there was a 20-minute wait, which was a lot shorter than I expected. The young woman who drew my blood did an okay job. She didn't have to poke around for a vein, but she wasn't gentle and I was bruised afterwards.

A convenient place for all uottawa students and staff for blood work. I did my blood work there. All are good. Staffs are nice. I would appreciate if they start weekend services too!
