My blood was lost in transit!
I have take my blood test on 11/1 /2024 in unionville gate and the result was not released after 13 days. I visited the unionville centre and they did not show any concern and gave me a customer service hotline. A lady named Anna form the hotline was helping and called me back the other day, told me my blood sample was lost, requesting me to re take again.
This was totally ridiculous and unacceptable.it was lost? Or it was used by another patient? No one called me for a follow up till now, my privacy means nothing to them, they don’t really care.

First time visiting and it will be the last. Nurse has poor skill. A bruise has appeared on the wound after the bloodwork.

The worst Dynacare location ever. My mom did blood test at this location today. The nurse took long time and gave three needles to get blood. When it’s done the nurse said because my mom moved her arm but my mom didn’t. My mom did few times blood test at other Dynacare location, they all got her blood by one needle. I think your staff is not professional.

Dynacare new system implemented in this location (Unionville) is great amazing. It's much much better than the old one.

Appreciated Thura & Sara for helping me with blood collection with greate patience & nice instruction as my Blood Vessel was very thin and the left arm used to be a little bit easier was burt for months so had to try the other one initially.

I had a wonderful experience today with Grace E from Unionville. She was so kind and gentle with finding a good vein. Usually nurses have such a hard time finding a vein to draw blood from, thus leaving me to bruise terribly and feel physically awful in the days to follow. Grace used my hand instead and it was such a positive experience! She did not want to have me in any discomfort and I enjoyed chatting with her. Will most definitely come back to this location. I also booked an appointment prior and was in and out within 10 minutes. Wonderful experience and enjoyed seeing their remodel/relocation of the lab.

Made an appointment online for a blood collection at 2: 30pm. I entered the clinic at 2: 20pm. It's completely empty with only one staff, who was on the phone at the moment. The call was about their personal matters (something about discount code), and it lasted for a whole 15 mins.

While I was waiting, 2 more (walk-in) patients entered the clinic. One of them had no chill at all and cut in front of me, but fortunately the staff prioritized people with appointment so I still got to be the first on the list.

The ending of this story is, I came home with two bruised arms.

I was attended by Sunny and she was amazing. I did not feel anything, she was kind. I do not understand these reviews I was so afraid at the beginning to go, but now I went nothing bad. People here they have limited staff and thats not employees fault. Please do not be harsh on people, all of us need to work to survive and make a living. If you want to make an appointment do it but understand as well that everyone is on rush. If you have complaints make a complaint in the health care of canada, not on people.

I'm not sure if its a cultural thing but I find the service at this location very rude, rushed and the feeling like they are doing you a favor and not enjoying their jobs.

Don’t bother calling, the number is an automated system that disconnects you after 5 mins of ringing. Highly unprofessional and would never recommend using their services if they call you, don’t leave a callback number, and you have no way of getting in touch with them except personally attending at their office like it’s the 1980’s. In 2022, surely we can do better.

Dear Dynacare,

Please kindly explain to me, what the purpose of having an appointment is? We arrived 5 mins before our appointment, and advised the "very kind" lady at the front of the same. She proceeded to place our file at the back of the pile. When we asked how long the wait would be, rather than providing an answer she huffed and puffed under her mask and said "can't you see the pile? " It was really a simple question, after calling her out on her professionalism, she advised it would be at least a 30 minute wait, despite having an appointment.

We highly recommend this professional establishment with very patient and understanding staff.

Did a walk-in and it took about 20mins which was expected. The nurse I had was courteous and also handled another rude patient very well.

Staff here doesn’t care about your appointment time. I came to check in 10mins prior to my appointment time and waited 15mins before receptionist acknowledged my presence, then was told I need to wait at least 30mins. Not sure what’s the point of booking an appointment here in the first place.

A blonde woman didn't even change her gloves before drawing my blood, and WHEN I got home I found myself bleeding
Just find somewhere else for ur blood test!!!

I saw the negative reviews here and hesitated but decided to go anyway since those reviews are few months old. I've been to other labs and this was the best experience by far. The staff are humane, friendly and courteous. The check in process is orderly and the office is neat and clean with large air filter machine in the waiting area and free wifi. I also took my parents here a month ago, and their experiences and mine have been great. My mother was waiting to pee for her urine sample, and one of the staff noticed we were still waiting around and holding a bottled water to drink. He took it upon himself to tell us we could bring the sample back later since forced drinking will dilute the urine etc. We're definitely coming to this lab for all our family's tests from now on.

I have been visiting the lab on and off and find it so good in every way The technician Ms. Regina is so sweet and polite and always smiling. Due to the covid pandemic the people are made to stand outside in the corridor and sometimes the wait time is long. In short in my locality this is a very good lab.

Been to many other Dynacare locations and always had great service, but this one is the worst ever. They used to be fairly good and I understand the situation with the pandemic, but it doesn’t mean you should be rude and disrespectful to patients.

Still, it is worth it to comment on my experience!
Crazy, unprofessional, rude staff and a complete waste of time to come for your bloodwork.
Booked an appointment and due to a computer glitch, the appointment time was 2: 00 am and we showed up at 1;45 pm where we waited and waisted our time with a promise to do it tomorrow. Another client was also sent back home for the very same reason.
Fix your glitches and apologize for the inconvenience, you bunch of hollow heads. A very tense environment where you are guaranteed to become miserable.
Yet, there was an elderly woman who had no appointment but did manage to speak the language and be served.
Avoid this place if you know there is another clinic as they will ruin your day and precious time.

Booked appointment at 10: 40, arrived 10: 15, I have to wait for an hour, what is the point for making appointment. If they can't finish so many, why let people make a lot of appointment.

Do not come here if you have a choice. The Castlemore location is infinitely better. I had an appointment and still had to wait over an hour here. They make you wait in the hallway and there is no seating. The nurse who signed me in and took my blood was polite and apologized for the wait, but the head nurse was very rude when she had to turn people away who didn't have appointments. Trust the reviews and go somewhere else if you can. There is no point making an appointment here as it is no different than a walk-in.

So when attempting to book for my father no dates were available, and then I saw WALK IN was an option, and so I told him walk in was fine. Then when he arrived they told him he had to book, while the staff treated him very rudely and still told him to wait for some reason. He left afterwards. Might want to remove that "or walk in" part. Doesn't make any sense.

I made an online appointment at 5: 30am and a reminder was sent to me one day prior. When I got to the clinic I find out it is not open until 8am. Website is poorly managed.

**FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDS FOR ROUTINE CHECKUPS, YOU NEED TO BOOK VIA THEIR DYNACARE NET CHECKIN APP OR WEBSITE! **

I learned from my family doctor that they only allow booking online via their Dynacare Net Check-In app OR WEBSITE on Android/iPhone!

They reject walk-ins now during COVID-19, my dad (who doesn't speak fluent English) lost a weekend to do a regular bloodwork check because of this and didn't tell my dad!

The receptionist was extremely rude. I understand it is busy but barking at patients who don't know what to do is not helping. Getting blood drawn already isn't a pleasant experience but I left feeling miserable because of the staff.

Went to this lab not knowing that there was suppose to be an appointment to be made prior to coming in since I don't regularly get my blood done. I was shock after waiting since 7: 25 am (fasting) that I was turned away so RUDELY. I would have understood if it was explained in a kind and respectful manner. And perhaps say. "You didn't know, so this time we can take you in and next time please make an appointment" I wouldn't have left so angry and disappointed.

Receptionist is so rude and misleading. Due to COVID there is social distancing, so she tells me to stand outside the office and then gets mad at me for standing in the wrong spot. Then I had to get a special blood test which my doctor didn't tell me about, so they had to order it in. So I left with no blood test. They told me that they would call me when it's ready and that I need to make an appointment to come back. I called to make my appointment a few weeks later and was told that they don't take appointments. So I asked why I received two phone calls reminding me to make my appointment and she just kept saying they don't take appointments, even after I tried explaining that I have a special blood test. So if I go there as a walk in patient and they refuse to take me because I didn't make an appointment I'm never going back. Update: they didn’t let me take my special test without an appointment.

I have attended this facility many times in the past 15years and so have my family members. We've never had any issues. The staff have always treated us well especially Technician Regina who is kind, considerate and cheerful. She is a diamond in the rough. I saw no issues with social distancing and because of the small waiting area there were marked positions outside the office hallway for people waiting to be served. They were all given hand sanitization before entering. This is the only place we go to, I'm very surprised at the low rating given based on my "personal" experiences and have no issues returning in the future.

The receptionist is rude! The online check-In doesn’t actually work. Went and waited 25 min after checking in, app indicated that it would be a 10min wait. The screen for checked-in waiting list is not even on. Made everyone wait outside in the hall where people walked back and forth really close to you given the narrow hall. Not great for social distancing at all, if I knew their check-in was not working I actually would have went somewhere else with a more predictable wait time or a larger clinic where social distancing can be followed. Another Dynacare I had went to had barriers between seats in the waiting room, there was never a lot of people in the wait room either as the online check in worked!

Little to no wait time as long as you come after 11am (since most people need to fast for tests and come in the mornings). The staff are very friendly and quite efficient. Checking in online helps expedite the waiting process.

Receptionist was very rude.
I waited in line she did not pick my form.
No indication about to submit form at front desk prior waiting in line.
No proper instructions given to people.
Petients were standing in line too long and paasapawas full of people.
They did not understand people are fasting.
Big problem is they don't take/book appointment.

Went for Blood work this morning at 730am. 4th in Q. Friendly nurse offering hand sanitizer before processing the paperwork. Took about 10min to complete whole cycle. Those with cell phone may want to consider this apps to avoid long waiting Q. Yet to try but worth an attempt.

I went Dyncare today and I have to say that it was a very pleasant experience.
Everyone was extremely friendly and there wasn't any wait time at all. I don't know why there any negative comments because I couldn't disagree more.

This used to be a great place, but not anymore. New staff to blame. Blood work caused lots of pain and discomfort. The man was rude and blamed patient for his inadequate procedure.

This lab lost my blood samples. Five vials of blood drawn from my arm, leaving me bruised. And all five vials of blood disappeared completely. Rather than own up to their error and give me a much deserved apology, the incredibly rude receptionist had the audacity to tell me that I must be mistaken, that I was never there at all. Unbelievable. Would give zero stars if I could.

I was in and out of there in 15 minutes. (Went around 1: 00 PM on a Wednesday). The technician who took my blood was very kind and professional. She asked me if it was my first time getting blood work done. (It was my first). I only felt a tiny poke which was from the needle going in. It was a quick and painless process. I highly recommend you to get your blood work done here. Especially if you don't have a lot of time and you're afraid of needles.

Please don't go this place. That's the worst blood test clinic I had been in Canada for past 20yrs. I had blood sickness, last time I got blackout was abt 20yrs ago. I do blood test once a year. It happens again here. That stuff is very inexperienced and she kept talking and talking. Blamed me cuz I was nervous. Everything could be avoided if that stuff took my warning. Let experienced person to do it or let me lying down. It was gonna be happy ending.unfortunally it never happened like that

They blow my vein back in January 2017. It swell like l had a watermelon hanging from my arm. I couldn’t move my arm for two weeks. It was bruised like an egg plant.

Absolutely awful place. The nurses cannot comprehend general knowledge about fears. My sister went here for a blood test and has a very strong fear of needles in the left arm to the point that she might start to cry if you point to your own elbow pit. So I urged the nurse here to do it as quickly as possible, with little talk and no talking at all about needles. And what does the nurse do? Takes FOREVER, points many times to the spot I tell them not to talk about, and it just becomes a huge mess of shouting and crying. It took like 15 minutes to calm her down from the horrors she faced here. If you prefer blood test centers with speedy service, and nurses that have a common sense of fears, AVOID THIS PLACE. I will also be reporting this place to the BBB.

I went there yesterday morning at 840am. Lab is crowded and the receptionist is so rude. Seems like she hated her job and she doesn’t know how to accommodate clients. She doesn’t know how to smile either. That receptionist is a lab technician as well. It was my third time going there, but this time was a very very bad experience because of that lady. She has long hair, fair complexion, and her face is so bad because she doesn’t know how to smile. Of all the people there she’s the rudest ever. Cindy, Regina and the other lady (short lady) I don’t know her name is also nice except her! I hope she will change her ways or she’s not there the next time I go there.

I came here at 10am on a Monday with my boyfriend who needed to get blood work done. I know it's peak hours but we've been waiting for over an hour and a half. After half an hour of waiting we asked how long the wait would be and the reception staff rudely smacked her lips and said "look at the TV, that's what it's there for". The TV didn't even have my boyfriend's name on it and when we mentioned that to her she just said there's 6 people ahead of you. After 12 people were called we went up again to ask how long it would be and we were told 3 people were ahead of us. We are currently still here and 3 people just walked out enraged because they have also been waiting over an hour and a half and were told that their names haven't even been processed yet. This place is ridiculously disorganized and has extremely rude staff. It's unfortunate that I can't give less than one star.
