The Dynacare at Castlemore is well maintained and the staff was very professional and polite.
Maria who did my blood work was truly amazing. Normally lab technicians find it difficult to find my vein! I didn't even feel the needle. Maria for sure 5. Waiting outside was a bit tough because it was cold.

This location is really good. The staff are super friendly and the entire process is efficient and professional. The nurse that did both mine and my wife’s blood work is awesome and skilled in another level. Both of us barely felt the pinprick. So thankful to have this location. Just reading reviews of other alternatives nearby is enough to know this one’s diff.

In the past 4 years I had several bad experiences with bloodwork in this location. One of the worst examples: Staff did not put the needle correctly, took out, and did again second time still nowhere near the visible vein. It was painful, and I had bluish purple mark for a few days.

Recent last couple visits, I am thankful for Maria and Sheena. These two ladies are kind, friendly, and caring.

Today, I just had bloodwork done with Sheena and it was quick process and painless. Dynacare needs to have more staff like Maria and Sheena.

Went at 3pm. The wait was 3 minutes and the ladies there were friendly and kind. My little one isn’t fond of needles but she said she didn’t feel a thing.

Wasted almost an hour waiting for my turn to then be told my req was invalid. Not their fault the req was expired (thanks OHIP!) but don't they check that when you check in?

Just visited this Dynacare location and the staff is wonderful. Sheena did my tests and she was gentle, thorough, and quick. On of the better visits I've had at any laboratory!

I'm a Dynacare plus member for 2 years. I can usually access to my result on the same day but it is not the case anymore. In my recent two blood test, results are not visible after 48 hours and my doctor has nothing to refer to during my appointment. Also, not all the result are visible, eg I did 5 test, only 3 tests came back with result. What a joke, I do not know why am I paying for the membership! Switching to Lifelabs which I do not have to pay anything but can still have access to my result within 1 day.

I am lucky today because my blood work was performed by Sheena. She is very frendly, professional & skillful. It was so fast & no pain at all.

Money was collected for 2 travel PCR tests and one of two results never showed up. They couldn't attach the health cards to the tests so they re-entered everything manually and more than likely cancelled one of the appointments. I've been informed the missing swab was probably never sent to the lab. They also don't pick up the phone during business hours. Due to their incompetence and the ineptitude of Synergy Gateway, an additional $500 has been spent to get a rapid PCR test done at the airport.

The lack of everything. I did my blood work Nov 10 2021. It is July 25 2022.still nothing. DISGUSTING to say the least never again will I come to this backbyard clinic.

I went to the Dynacare Lab late this afternoon and was the only person there so I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The staff are friendy and professional. If you go there at peak times such as early in the morning, you can wait an hour. Only a certain number are allowed inside at one time, so may have to wait in line outside.

Very smooth experience! The admin staff who sits right in the front to accept patients has such a great memory and she was very kind all through. I went on weekend so there was no online checkin. Just walkins. Got to go really early so you can get your tests done because they stop taking patients after a bit. The staff who took my blood was also very kind. Overall staff treatment is highly impressive. Thank you Dynacare!

Today 31 March I came for my blood test and the two front desk staff were fighting while 4 patients were waiting. There was a lady with a challenged child and the staff was extremely agited

After one hour of wait time (being told it was 20), nurses failed to find the vein and left needle in to find another nurse who can find it. Injected three more times to fill vials and covered it with latex tape, after being told that patient had allergy to latex.

Jan 2022. This lab is quite a drive from home while another one close by wins not pleasurable reviews. There is online test acquisition check-in appointment available for nerds with access to computers and smartphone. Medical test acquisition referral documents might be uploaded to this lab Website via computer. The smartphone way could not be accomplished with the upload process at unknown reason. Studying the people flow statistics, it reveals allowing 10 to 30 min or so wait time depending on time of day, day of weekdays, people traffic as well. At this instance, it is projected to to be a 7 min wait. Drive over and check in with nursing staff, the paper doc is much welcome together with OHIP card. Test and process are done in less than 15 min. Wonderful! It might be the base for their high rating. The lady states that $10 subscription a year to access the report online before the doctor with the accompanying medical Library which is a good learning tool. One's knowledge would be enriched verily so that it may be considered when interested. The free Lifelab equivalent service has no medical library advantage. There are abundant knowledge databases around on the Web. Is this a valuable offer? I would wait for my Doctor consultation and prescription. Anyhow, it is a decent experience even after a shot in the arm!

I had a very bad experience there. I booked an online appointment for doing blood work. I arrived on time but I needed to wait very long time.about one hour and a half before I was taken. I kept checking with the receptionist there why I needed to wait with an appointment booked. I was told other people booked before me. I couldn't believe it as I had waited really long time there while I arrived on time. I did fasting since 10 p.m. The previous night. I asked if they could do mine as soon as possible because I had very low blood sugar and I almost passed out. The head nurse seemed not care and kept ignoring me. I was feeling depressed by being treated in this way. I started to cry. One of the nurses came over and took me in eventually at about 1: 30 p.m. You see how inhumane the head nurse was. She didn't respond and react to this unacceptable situation appropriately. She shouldn't be in the healthcare industry at all. What a shame something like that could happen. I never expected that.

I found this location while I was waiting in line in frustration at the unionville location. I checked in online for this castlemore location and by the time I drove over (about 10-15mins) it was my turn! Very fast and convenient service! Also lots of socially distanced seating in the waiting area! Drastic difference from the packed unionville location where seniors were standing in line in a packed tiny hall way for over 45mins. Only downside is the choice of the hardwood flooring as during winter the foot traffic is very evident. At least then I could tell which seat was least frequented and I sat there haha service was polite respectful and very welcoming. This will be my default blood work location from now on! Highly recommend!

I booked an appointment for a PCR test for travel purposes. I was able to book an appointment online and I even stated the reason that it is for travel purposes. Once I got there, they told me that they do not do PCR testing for travel. I tried calling them multiple times before my appointment to ask if they do testing for travellers, but no one answered the phone.
It’s unfortunate that during these anxious times, dynacare does not do testing for travellers. I’m not even sure why they allow travellers to book appointments online.
I guess I should call dynacare and thank them for causing stress, but they probably won’t pick up the phone anyways.

To avoid wait time, check in online on the day of and upload the requisition form before you head out. You can see exactly how long the current expected wait time is in real time. My wait time was 0 minute. I walked in, got the blood test done and out in literally 3 minutes. The nurse was skilled and excellent at finding my extremely fine veins using a thin needle.

Worst experience. Wife is pregnant, fainted after taking the glucose test, refused to give her water as she was begging for it. Technicians were yelling at her instead of helping her. Just received an email from doctors saying she needs to redo the test because her samples were “contaminated”

As a person who has had bad experiences with Blood collection I was nervous. But I have to say this place is wonderful! Fast and friendly! My nurse Sunny was so amazing! Made sure I was ok and used a baby needle to draw the blood I felt NOTHING! It was such a great experience! I recommend this place 100%!

The workers are all so nice and friendly here. I havent had one person i met here that was rude or unpleasant. Wait is relatively quick and everythings runs smooth. Most important the facility looks and feels clean.

Clean place with very nice staff around - except Cynthia who was rude and very loud. The man behind me had his blood taken by her - wasn't successful the first time and another nurse had to help and once he left, she started laughing really loudly in their work area but could be heard clearly from outside.

Without greeting, The lady started selling the Dynacare Plus to me while she doing the blood test. I have pressure to say NO at the time she drew my blood. Are they working on a commission basis? Did she failed to apply code of ethics. Please tell me.

I went on July 12 to castlemore location they were busy I had my turn and the lady injured my veins because she was rushing I had been to ER and have been in debilitating pain
The mark on my is of dried blood I haven't been able to move my hand for more then a week and haven't been able to do any sort of work because of this locations negligence I tried contacting from dynacare website but the customer service number is just a fax number

I came here at 9.30 am o do blood work. Fasting. It's 1.15 pm. Still waiting at the waiting area. Accepting everyone waiting outside, no mention of waiting time. Only 30 min "go around and come back". Almost 3 hrs waiting.

Been coming to this location for over a year now and have always had positive experiences. Staff are professional and strictly adhere to safety protocols amidst this pandemic. Vivian, in particular, is absolutely wonderful! In all my experiences of having blood drawn, no one has ever done it without me feeling any sort of pinch (even if slight) - except for Vivian! Thank you. =D

I would not recommend this Clinic to anybody, if you can book an appointment elsewhere I would do so unless you absolutely have to go here I wouldn't bother. They take 2 hours to see anybody, 1 hour waiting outside and then finally, once you get a text message that they're ready, you wait another hour. They are not organized and they don't take people in line.

SPLENDID - I cannot thank all of the staff here enough. Gem of a laboratory. You are treated like a patient here and not like someone driving through a fast food restaurant.

My family and I had Vivian do our bloodwork + lab tests this morning and she was just simply just kind, caring, and patient. She answered all of our questions and followed all sanitary procedures (including NOT touching the vein site after wiping alcohol) We were so lucky to have Vivian make the bloodtest process so wonderful. I will never go elsewhere for my blood again! I noticed all other staff members interacted with other patients with a lot of care & professionalism as well. From check-in to walking out, everyone was just superb. The location is also very clean and they follow COVID-procedures. Thank you to all of the staff members & your hard work & professionalism. It is evident you care about your patients & strive to make this place & process a great place to be.

We took our 2.5 year-old for blood tests and a urine test here. For us, they were really kind and understanding to our child. Overall they appeared well-organized, friendly, and efficient. They will text you to let you know when your turn comes up so you don't have to wait inside.
