First time I used Dynacare was the Dundas St location in Burlington and it was a great experience, I had expected the same when I went to the Brant St location. I had a very poor experience on Thursday November 30th around 11: 00am, getting some blood drawn.

The person who drew my blood did not ask if I had a preference for which arm, did not do a good job checking in about my comfort with needles, only asked if I pass out from them. At the Dundas location the worker talked to me and got a sense for how I was feeling, ensured she checked if I had any concerns and made sure to ask which arm I had presence for. She built some rapport with me before performing the blood draw.

It was the most painful needle poke I've ever had both going in and being pulled out. But the big issue is that the technician dragged the needle across my arm. I have extremely visible and accessible veins in my arm, you can even see them in the photo i've shared. There isn't an excuse for this.

What would the tech have done if I hard are to access veins? Do this multiple times? And what if I was immunocompromised from chemo or infection? This is an unnecessarily wound that could have serious impacts. Or if I was an elderly person with fragile skin that cut easily? Not to mention if I had an infectious diseases such as HIV or Hepatitis, this increases the risk for exposure to the technician.

Once complete, the tech placed the cotton pad down with absolutely no instructions afterwards. Did not tell me to apply pressure, avoid heavy lifting, or instructions of when to remove the tape. If the Dundas location tech had not given me the instructions previously, I would not have been aware.

Save your time and go somewhere else. You wait forever, online check in doesnt work, and somehow other people managed to check in online. Slowest service I have ever seen. Took them 45 min just to start entering my information into the system and theres literally 2 people waiting in the waiting room! Other dynacare locations are much better than this. Never again.

This is the worst location in the Burlington. I waited from 8: 45 to 11: 30. I kindly request the receptionist that I am fasting and not able to stay longer but she didn’t care and had rude reaction.

Don't even both going here. The staff had the audacity to yell at someone in a wheelchair because dynacares rooms and hallways were not big enough.

You would think, as a health care provider you are supposed to be completely accessable. This place is not, and their staff are atrocious.

I would like to know how getting your blood work done in a hallway is acceptable? Then to verbally insult a disabled person.

Went Tuesday April 25 it was closed. Checked the Dynacare website and it indicated it was going to be closed all week. Was passing by another day and it was open but I couldn't stop as I was on my to another medical appointment.
I stopped in today May 1st and it was open and busy. They asked if I had checked in online which I didn't know was an option. So the wait was estimated to be one hour.
When I was called in the doors are not wheelchair accessible. My wheelchair caught on the door frame and the lady gave me heck. I indicated I was not apologizing for something that a medical clinic should automatically be: accessible.
I ended up having my blood taken in the freaking hallway!
The nurse was nice, gentle and understood my frustration.
IF A MEDICAL BUSINESS IS FUNDED BY TAXPAYER DOLLARS IT SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO BE ACCESSIBLE.
Adequate accommodation is NOT having a medical procedure done in a freaking hallway!

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience.
Bathroom was extra dirty and was not cleaned. Urine stains all over the toilet and on the floor, the paper towel was placed on the sink-top and was soaked. There was also no hanger or hook in the bathroom.
Cleanliness was just way below average and unacceptable specially for a lab.

Great place to get bloodwork done! Booked online and was seen in less than 90 min. Other labs were booked 4 weeks in advance. Staff was friendly and efficient, most painless blood drawing I’ve ever had. Going to go here from now on.

Told it would be a 40 min wait. An hour later told it would be another 30 min. Told they would text or call. Went to lunch and came back an hour later. Asked what was going on that no one text. Was told 10 more min, there are only 2 of us. Almost 2 hours, when told 40. Min. Hire some staff. Will not go back there.

Everything about this experience was excellent. The office was spotless, the staff friendly and professional. Absolutely painless and quick. Collin the lab professional is an expert. The on line waiting system was really great. Helped plan our wait.

I arrived on Friday at 9.30 after checking online that they were open but they were closed. I met some one there who told me that this had happened a lot lately and many people had been there to find them closed. How can people be treated this way! I don't drive and this location is close for me so I have been coming here for a long time but the staff are not friendly and not helpful and this is so sad to be treated this way.

I had my glucose test here and instead of making me wait in the busy waiting room for an hour, the nurse was extremely kind and found an empty examination room for me to wait in. No one LIKES getting their blood work done, but MaryLou was extremely wonderful and made the process relatively quick and painless. I would definitely recommend!

Showed up, waited and its closed. It did not say anything online about that. When it is open they treat you like they are doing you a favor

Terrible service again! They asked me to wait for 1 hour, saying they would text or call when they are ready. I waited well over an hour and then noticed them coming out the back door. When I approached them they explained they were now closed and to come back the following day. There were unapologetic and it was obvious they were not interested in correcting the problem. This is my third time here and second issue. I would recommend going elsewhere.

Today I went to the Brant St. Laboratory to have my blood tested. I was attended by Mary Lou who in a second took the blood sample despite my jumping veins. God bless her.

The management should investigate their receptionist. She is harassing the elderly in front of everyone. Action must be taken.

This location is horrible. If there is a -1 I would give! Rude staff. They don't answer the phone. I did a test last month and it was never sent to my physician. And when I came to them they just where so rude and unhelpful as if its not their business! Don't waist your time going to that location!

If you really want to get tests done quick, avoid this location, even though you are checked in online and receive a message that your appointment is in 10 minutes, you can rather expect 100 minutes.

Great staff even tho they were busy they made sure I was contacted back by text msg of when I can come in to give blood sample very professional and kind! Thank you Merry Christmas.

I rarely ever have to wait very long to get blood work done here and the staff is always very cheerful.
Update: So now you can get your lab results online which I thought was great until I got home and went to download their app.
Almost every review for this app was very angry because when you download the app it tells you you owe them $20 if you want your results! I deleted app.
I have always only gone to Dynacare for my blood work but from now on I will be going to another lab which offers online results for free.
I rarely had to wait very long before they moved to the new location but this time I waited at least an hour.

Reception was Fair but the Technical Person was excellent! Very informative and friendly! People need to be Greeted and feel welcome when they visit anywhere that a service is being provided! Perhaps some training for the Receptionist would be good. Otherwise was in and out quickly and will purchase the App for the results on line.

Went to dynacare around 8am for blood work and ECG. Both technicians were very professional and friendly. Mary Lou was the tech who did my ECG and she’s been with dynacare for years and I’ve had several happy and professional experiences with her. Quick, knowledgeable and professional keep up the great work Mary Lou!

Although they we fairly quick, I am unable to get my bloodwork results online without paying $19.99 a year for their app. Next time i'll go to Lifelabs that offers FREE online results to patients.
