All the ladies that work here are lovely. Julie is super nice - love her! And the lady with the black hair and black Prada glasses I live in Stittsville but come all the way here to get my bloodwork

I am not someone who enjoys, nor feels neutral about, blood work, but the technician I saw here was AMAZING. She knew immediately that I was anxious and she was supportive, non-judgmental, and friendly. She definitely made me feel at ease. This location was also very clean and open and airy. I definitely recommend this location, especially if you're close!

The check in desk was quick, and I received excellent service for blood collection. Very helpful technician. Recommend using the online check in on their website.

Actually NO stars here! Most unhelpful front staff: told me I should already have a PIN for my account, then gave me a wrong PIN, and then ignored me when I showed up to get the correct one a couple days later. Worst of all, they LOST the BLOOD WORK results or worse - put the wrong label on! Just avoid this location.

I never have great experiences giving blood due to my tricky veins and phlebotomists getting frustrated with me until today. I wish I got their name to personalize this more but they were so patient and kind and gentle with me. So appreciative, thank you!

They're not open during their 'open hours' - which were even listed at the door. But there's nobody there. Don't waste your time going here.

Worst place to do your lab work. No customer service at all, worst people to deal with. They lost my important form and then denies that they were not given the form. They don't answer the phone calls and the front desk ladies has no respect or empathy for patients.
Please do not go for blood work to this place. There is LifeLabs across the street, you can try but Do not try this place. Extremely Irresponsible people.

Bayshore Dynacare: Reception is so rude! And not at all discrete. They have no issue discussing your problem loudly and embarrassing you.
I have been there on a few occasions when the lab near me could not see me and it has been the same each time
If you get past reception and see a technician you will be treated well
I avoid this lab at Bayshore
I understand a bad day here and there but I have never been able to find a good day there.
However the lab at Broadview and the one at Cleopatra are amazing and friendly everytime!

This place wasted my one busy hour for nothing. If you go there prepare for the day. Very very slow. I don’t think it’s because of COVID as I’ve been to other places but not like this one. You might get free parking but on the other hand you are wasting your precious time.

Super bad experience! This is my first time went to this lab for my pregnancy test. They asked me to pay a $35 service fee, saying that OHIP didn’t cover it. They took my blood, but one-day later when I check the Dynacare plus app, the system showed that my order was canceled. I tried to call the lab and customer service, they are very rude and don’t want to help to solve problem. DO NOT GO TO THIS Dynacare!

I don't write a lot of reviews but this place deserves one. The staff working the front desk are completely incompotent.

I called about 2 to 3 times before going to ask if I needed needed appointment for a lactose test but they never answered. I checked to make sure they did the test (didn't say I needed an appointment) before going and then I checked-in online. When I got there I told them I had checked in online and provided them with my health card and 2 reqs. I was then told to wait in the long line, which I did. An hour later (learnt the hard way they don't actually use the online check-in) when I was called the have my blood drawn, they told me the lactose test required an appointment and I would need to book one for a week later. So I waited an hour for a test they couldn't do because they didn't have the decency to tell me earlier, and because I was unable to call in.

By the way, their phones don't work. They haven't for a year, according to the staff.

Oh, and when I complained about the whole situation I was told I should have let them know I was there, which I did, when I first checked in. She said they didn't know I was there, but they had my 2 reqs and health card. Then she told me they called me, but they didn't.

Horrible manners horrible experience. I am pregnant and needed some time sensitive tests done. After scheduling my appointment online and uploading my documents sent by my doctor. I show up at the right time, they take my information; have me wait an extra 40 min, which I didn’t mind because I know they are busy. They then come get me after all that wait time to tell me that they can’t find my documents. Luckily, I have them on me and the extremely rude receptionist tells me it’s too late. That I need to leave even though i have what they need on me. I have never had to deal with such horrible people in the medical field. Find another job if you can’t speak to people properly. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT GO TO THIS GARBAGE PLACE.

One star is too generous. They barely followed the queue from the app/website. The nurse who greeted me was rude and not helpful at all. She basically just shooed people to the back of the line. I didn't have paper copy of my requisition so I had sent it in through their website. After getting through the first line-up in the hallway, I was sent to another waiting room inside the lab. I went to the front desk after getting in to make sure that they actually had my requisition before waiting another 30 minutes for nothing. She yelled at me because she didn't have my health card (but no one asked me to give them my health card.). That same nurse was rushed and rough when she was taking my blood. When we were done, she just told me "you can go now". I didn't get any information on how long results would take or even a look in the eyes. All in all, go somewhere else.

Won't let you give a zero. I fasted for 16 hrs.and I'm diabetic, felt like passing out and my time kept getting pushed back. If people are late for their appointments, they should wait in line with everyone else. Over two hours waiting.this is the most unacceptable form to deal with people I've ever seen.

Prebooked my appointment. Showed up exactly on time, had to join the end of the line regardless. About 20 minutes later met by staff to confirm my healthcard, advised I had a prebooked appointment. She said she needed to confirm my appointment was prebooked. Came back confirmed it was pre-booked but wouldn't be seen for another 35-40 minutes. Of course that was unacceptable if I prebook an appointment theres no way I should be waiting until an hour after the prebooked timeframe.doesn't seem organized nor can handle the capacity.

Once you register online, follow the procedure and get there, staff tell you very boldly and without apology that they don't use the online system (so then: TAKE IT DOWN THE INTERNET!) and to go in line like the rest (long line up 60 feet+). I then left as I had to go to work and could not afford waiting for two hours. The next day (Wednesday), I go there. They say they don't have my request forms which were faxed the previous Friday. Then they just leave me standing at the front desk with no information or direction. I called my doctor's office and asked them to fax the documents which was done immediately. I then went and sat down. While sitting, a few clients came in and received the same cold treatment I had. Cattle is treated better than that! You should have seen the expressions on people's face. NOT COOL! One lady was so taken aback that she said out loud that they were so rude, to which I replied we need to make a complaint. I have never in my 35 years in Ottawa seen such bad customer service and lack of human sensitivity.appalling really! Were they having a bad day, or a bad couple of days.or a bad life? There was more (i.e. Laughing at a particular client behind his back) but I'll stop here. Oh, and they have posters talking about the "Dignity of all customers". Whoa! Very disconcerting to say the least.

Doctors lab closed so a standing order faxed here. Went twice and they always said not on file but after persisting they saw it. Today I waited an hour and the guy says no fax here. I said no, it is a standing order. He looked stunned. I said give me Ohip card and phoned Doctor and switched to Life Labs. Hope lab at Doctors office opens back up. This Dynacare is useless.

This location doesn't know how to handle the online check in process so it ends up useless. Other dynacare locations have been great but at this one they seemed confused.

Very bad service. They are not even ready to search fax requests from doctors office. Tired of calling them and asking about fax requests.

Do NOT expect to book online and be taken on time. Waited 1: 15 minutes. Got this message inside the lab 5 minutes before my bloodwork:
Net Check In - Dynacare - Bayshore
Your check in has been cancelled due to non arrival. You may however Check In again.

I do not think they are using the online check in properly.

Being immunocompromised, I plan my trips carefully so I don't have to spend a lot of time in lineups or around people. I am very disappointed.

I only gave 2 stars because the nurse (Cathy) was kind.

Go online and make an appt. The lab staff themselves were professional and the lab itself followed covid health recommendations. But the day I was there, there were two lineups outside the lab with about twenty people in total and there was little room for social distancing. Those with appts were seen first. Even with an online appt, I waited an hour longer than the wait time indicated.

Walked in around 1255 and there was a lineup down the hall and around the corner, however it was moving relatively well. I didn’t get checked in until I was at the front of the line 25 min later only to be told that for a urine sample, I didn’t need to wait in line (how was I supposed to know that?). Was given the sample cup and pointed to bathroom. Afterwards there was no other guidance, didn’t know what I was supposed to do and the staff weren’t helpful. 3 stars only because I was in/out within 45 min.

A tight and cramped, cough-filled right corridor awaits you at this House of Nightmares. The nurses are unintelligible behind the layers of PPE and indistinguishable accents. They don’t change their gloves between paperwork, interacting with patients in the halls, or even between BLOODWORK. They do not sanitize the blood drawing site nearly well enough, and again, they do it with the SAME GLOVES.

We probably have aids now.

The entire process of my visit was intense and uncomfortable. It feels as though the clients are an irritant to the employees.

I watched the lady checking in patients insist a frail and sick older gentleman get up to visit the counter so she could insist his doctor was not in the system. She was negative and clacking intensely while he stood for minutes in front of her. Oxygen tubes all over him, bruises and can barely walk yet the victim of her stress and tension for the day.

I get COVID is an irritant in these situations, but there is no excuse for the lack of consideration to a senior I saw demonstrated in this location.

I am sorry that some people weren't happy. I have always found the staff friendly and ready to chat, respond to a joke, etc. Results are fast. And they NEVER hurt! And I'm a coward!

This is in regards to this location and not all Dyna are locations. I have had great service at other locations.

- The staff is rude, this may be due to the next point.
- There is also no full-time receptionist, this results in long wait times for no reason as the technicians don't care to answer questions. This also results in not being able to get through if you call.
- Last time I was here the technician failed to give me my health card back and tried to blame me. They found it after 10 minutes.

Today morning was my first time at this location, and I have to say that I was very pleased with the service as well as with the cleanliness of this place. I was served by Marie who was prompt, polite and truly professional. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Thank you, Marie.

I have been coming to this lab for several years and the service has been very good. Today I brought my mother-in-law for a blood test and noticed that the place was renovated. It looks nice in general, however I think they didn’t do a good design in the waiting room, since it’s now more uncomfortable, the chairs are too squeezed and the area is too narrow. On the other hand, there were only 2 ladies serving patients so the wait time increased so much. That’s why I don’t give them 5 stars.

Last time I was here I wasn't allowed to eat or drink for 24 hours. I'm already bad with getting blood work. So

The woman who took my blood didn't notice I was about to faint and fall to the floor this lasted a good while but then I puked a bit. She gave me the trash can but told me to stop spitting my puke out of my mouth into the trash.

They then made me go do a urine sample but before that the person at the front desk was telling a new client about how I puked.

I would rather travel further to get blood work then ever go here.

They were very kind to me, one of the women here really helped me with my papers. I was in a tight situation and she made sure I got everything I needed. I really appreciate the hard workers here at the lab, it can get very busy in the weekends but they stay on top of it. As far as medical services go, you will find what you would usually find in a lab such as this.

Never answers the phone, has awful hours for people busy in the day and they close early on Friday’s. Getting blood work there usually takes long as well. I rate it the worst lab in Ottawa.
