We love going to Earl Bales Park with our grand kids as it has great play area for kids with slides and swings. It also has a great indoor play area/hall, where various activities are available. My husband goes there to play ping-pong. There are many picnic areas in the park with barbecue grills and also water fountains for kids to cool down during summer. All in all a great place kids, adults, seniors and families.

A beautiful park in the heart of North York, Toronto.
It has Llots of trails and hiking routes, beautiful scenery, specially, in the fall. A beautiful lake, a community centre, a senior centre, a modern kid’s playground, a dog’s off leash playing area, etc
This park has quite a lot to offer

Great little playground not far from subway. My 4yo loved the big slide, will definitely come back!

It’s a really nice escape from the city! When you get down into the ravines, you’d think you’re not even in the city. Wonderful place for a hike or run!
22 September 2023 20:18
Nice park, nice view, with some short but fun trails to walk! On the hill, in the picnic area, there are benches and barbecue pots, so it's ready for gathering!

Park was huge and a provides a lot of space to amy outdoor events that you would like. Great for the kids to play. There are sime trails that are hidden at the back which you need to walk to. Also, a lake is located at the bottom if you want to see. Biking, running and playing volleyball is the most activities that are seem here. I absolutely love this park. It is beautiful all year round with hidden trails that are great for mountain biking in the summer or snow shoeing in the winter. The view from the top of the mountain is beautiful and is great fun tobogganing in the winter.

Also, enough parking space

Love this park. You can on the grass in the front, or go to the chalet for activities. But if you walk deeper, the views are superb, plus there is a lake which you can walk around. This is hiker, biker, dog heaven. In the winter they have a program for skiing.

It's great to visit this place special if you have kids. There is a pond with fish and ducks (if not sure if it's ducks or goose) but there is part of place smells gas leak.
19 December 2021 16:20
Beautiful park during winter and the trail lead from behind leads to a quiet trail into a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood
11 December 2021 13:51
This is one of my favourite parks in the city, it´s like a hidden gem. I love spending time there.
09 December 2021 7:22
A large park for a park within the city. Has lots of amenities such as a community centre, picnic area with tables, at least 3 free parking lots (that fill up, it is never enough for such a popular park), hiking trails, a small ski lift, a hill for winter downhill fun for kids, swing and kids playground, volleyball area, amphitheater. In the summer, the hiking trails are a nice way to walk or run while seeing some green forest, which is refreshing for the mind. Entrance by car is from Bathurst onto Raoul Wallenberg Rd. The other entrance from Sheppard Ave goes down a valley to a small Under Bridge parking lot, which is not convenient if you want to use the other amenities.
22 November 2021 22:33
Centraly located, that's awesome. Beautiful picnic areas, and a nice ski hill all in the middle of the city.
19 November 2021 7:03
It’s a good place for having fun with friends and family, you can do B. B. Q and enjoy the view, clean and washroom is available too.the only problem is, they close these place at 8pm
14 November 2021 15:23
This is a great park for BBQ, picnics, and natural hikes. There is even a small ski/snowboarding hill with a chair lift. There is an amphitheatre and you check their schedule for a list of family movie nights and cultural events. And who doesn't appreciate an off-leash dog park.

The main paved trail is a looping trail that is about 3.5km but you can wander off onto side trails and easily get in a 6 or 7k walk. There is plenty of free parking at two entrances and the main paved wheelchair accessible. For the more adventurous, you can hike up the hills and get in about 100m climb.

It is a beautiful walk in the fall, along the river and through stands of young Birch trees with mix forest everywhere.
14 October 2021 15:21
This great and beautiful park has it all. Lots of open fields for kids to play. Lots of shaded areas for families to picnic. Love the pathways, playground and splash pad. For the convenience of parents watching their children at the playgrounds, please add more picnic tables, because every weekend, there never seems to be enough to go around. Most importantly, please, please, please add more speed bumps on the driveway. Some people drive fast and often times children and the elderly cross the driveway. There should be a speed bump in every 50 meters.
13 October 2021 8:29
Very big park with lots of areas. There is a full park, some trails, barbeque areas, multiple picnic areas, forest, water, a holocaust memorial (which is definitely worth spending some time reading and educating oneself), and some other buildings. It is nice for an array of activities like walking or picnicing. Definitely family-friendly and lots of parking areas.
07 October 2021 1:34
Very crowded during summer, tough time finding parking spot, but very good play area for little kids
28 September 2021 4:06
Good for walk and running walk with ur dog and very nice guy rommelson to tell a guy to clean the garbage in end side of the park in earlbils awesome
19 September 2021 22:45
A nice ang huge park that caters not only for children that can enjoy splash pad, play grounds but also for all ages who wants to go for a walk or simply have a picnic or birthday outdoors
12 September 2021 21:34
Great in checking everyone & getting garbages. No tarp or string to be attached on every tree & branches, which is good for the tree not to ruin it. The only thing they need to check the public washrooms both for woman & man.
10 September 2021 6:43
Our to go place. Busy place always but the playground and the picnic area worth it. Try to go early in weekends if you want a good spot.
17 August 2021 17:53
It's a very clean and good park because you can BBQ also the children can have fun in a new build playground
15 August 2021 18:56
Absolute gem in the middle of a bustling metropolis! What can I say. The state of the art playground with every imaginable piece of play equipment. The endless green grass. The open and well maintained fire pits. So lovely. It does get quite busy but plenty of parking and picnic benches for everyone. There's also a wooded lot to hike in (I saw a guided tour taking place) and a ski hill with a lift to top it all off. Public restrooms on site as well. Gorgeous job designing and maintaining this park.
15 August 2021 12:12
Enormous playgrounds, plenty of kids after school and around 5, Lengthy green fields, and a lot of picnickers. It's a very community oriented place, and it's a great place to bring children to introduce them to a very diverse yet friendly environment. 10/10: D great playspace
02 August 2021 3:53
Best park I have ever been to. "Summer": Biggest playground I have seen so far.right beside the playground is a water park and another tiny park
"Winter": A very high hill which is perfect for tobogganing. Stayed over 4 hours having so much fun. Only problem is the large pillars which you can may accidentally hit while going down. But overall 5/5

Very crowded and hard to find a parking space there on a Sat afternoon. Parents and kids were not wearing face masks with no social distancing. This is not good given the pandemic situation has not been resolved yet.
19 July 2021 18:24
It's a lovely place to visit
It has combination of big kids as well as small kido also there's water foundation.it keeps u busy too such a big park u n ur family can enjoy the bbq n playing spot too.must a visit in pandemic where u r not allow to go to a resort or any other picnic spot
15 July 2021 13:08
Great atmosphere! Has a
Sensory garden, splash pad, giant playground, amphitheater, lots of grass and trees for shade.
09 July 2021 9:01
It's a nice park with many places to just relax and stay away from people. Secondly, there's a fenced off-leash dog park. There's also a not-too-long trail to follow which takes you around a small pond and takes you up on an incline and ends up at a neighborhood. Or, you could just go to the ski lift area, climb up the steep hill, and take in the view of North York. Be warned, parking can be tough either at the main parking lot or the lot under the Sheppard bridge if you try to go right after working hours.
05 July 2021 11:46
My second time here, both during the pandemic. It was nice to dine out after a long time in. The food was really good.
17 June 2021 0:04
Great place to spend the day for whatever your looking to do, take the kids to the park, have a family picnic, take walk, bike ride on the path that leads to a small creek. There are bbq pits available, but are on a first come first serve basis, there are also washroom available as well.
08 June 2021 13:24
Amazing park, but clearly no management of invasive garlic mustard plant. It’s taking over some entire forest floors. Anyone who can should pull it and throw it in the garbage, especially if it is flowering or going to seed. Or there will be no more native flowers to enjoy like the violets or dog flowers.
07 May 2021 9:56
Great park with a wide range of activities for winter and for summer.
Well-equipped playgroud with a lot of activities that are accessible also for the children with special needs.
Winter sports area has an options for every type of skiing cross-country and alpine.
Huge picnics area.
A lot of free parking spots.

This park is wonderful and surprisingly vast given its urban location. It has big stretches of grass with plenty of trees to stake out a spot underneath. Families come as it is ideal space for cookouts. If you're up for a walk, it also has woodland trails and tree-topped hills. If you find your way to the pond, you can enjoy ducks and geese swimming pleasantly. Oh, a dog park too, who provide great entertainment even if you lack a dog of your own. Really not difficult to spend an entire afternoon here without getting bored. Lots of good memories can be created in these surroundings.

Love going to Earl Bales ski lessons with my son in the winter time. Glad we have access to something so unique in the city. The instructors do a great job of teaching young kids how to learn skiing. Perfect place to start learning before moving to a larger hill
02 June 2019 3:26
Awesome, spacious and lush park, love coming here any time of the year. I bring my dogs here often and we hike around for hours. But PLEASE - KEEP YOUR DOGS ON LEASH OUTSIDE OF THE DOG PARK IN ON-LEASH AREAS. The amount of times we had a random dog charge at us on the trails because it had no recall with the owner out of sight is ridiculous. They can be injured by unfriendly on-leash dogs!
26 May 2019 15:47
A good place to learn skiing and snowboarding. Their lift exit is brutal for starting snowboarders though
25 May 2019 23:04
Good clean facilities, well managed and staffed. A great place for March Break ski lessons. The holocaust memorial is a somber but important stop for lids to make.
24 May 2019 7:10
First weekend in May. The weather was lovely and the park reasonably busy, especially where people BBQ and what not. The washrooms were open, but the water fountains weren't working yet.
15 May 2019 23:49
My daughter had her 1st birthday at the community centre, and this hall boasts not just space, but also better aesthetics than most halls. They say that it sits 140 people comfortably, but I think 120 is better, especially if it's a kid's party.
Hall price is also budget friendly
12 May 2019 7:18
Earl Bales is a really clean park where families and friends can go picnicking in the summer on really warm days or taking walks along the trails
Ski and snowboard in winter.
There's many opportunity to do some adventurous exploring if you're the type, Oh? And bring a camera and take amazing shots too.
02 May 2019 13:16
Beautiful park in North York Sheppard Bathurst intersection. Many activities for kids and teen in community center, kids play area, ski & snowboarding during winter, we loved this Park.
02 May 2019 4:07
The new accessible play structure/area is amazing. The park finally has the capacity to entertain the amount of kids going there.

They could benefit from a few more benches around the phone of the play structures
11 April 2019 14:02
Great for dogs to socialize and play. Just beware of how muddy your dog will be especially in wet days.
27 February 2019 15:44
This review is regarding the dog park since that's the only place we went.
Good location with decent amount of parking, off leash area is quite large and well fenced but all mud. Your dog will definitely get muddy here but he/she will love being able to run about. There is also a paved trail where you can walk your pet on leash. Overall nice parkland to vist in the middle of the city
18 February 2019 21:45
Beautiful park. Great for walking dogs. I don't know if they are ever going to get the skiing going this year however.
06 February 2019 17:00
Lovely spot for a walk anytime of year. Would have loved to make a fire in the designated fire pits, but after checking with the city, I found that a permit is required, and needs to be obtained on business days for a of $25 for a smaller party. Nothing against the park though! Great spot. Will come again.
22 January 2019 16:21
Playground looks impressive but didn't check it out close. Otherwise, it's spacious with plenty of parking
18 January 2019 9:02
So beautiful I love going on with my son as they're planting new trees every year that have been purchased or donated from the ones we loved and lost they've done a lot of Renovations over the last two years and it's starting to look pretty amazing
