They charge you crazy amount of money for immunization record. Call you back to the clinic for “follow up”, wait for 2hrs+ just to ask why you were there and say there’s no update

Dr.koffman is a stunningly wonderful doctor who solves all pain problems whithin a few minutes, there are no difficult questions for her.i have been using her services for about 5 years and my questions and requests are always resoled very quicly.she is gorgeous slobodkin family

Horrible experience.
Save yourself, go to the clinic behind metro, better service. Little more waiting time but worth it.at the Earl Bales Urgent Care.
Waited longer for the doctor to let us in the room and for the actual doctor to come in the room.

The Assist Dr. Will ask you sorts of basic questions and wont even let you explain anything assuming they know everything and when the actual Dr.came,

he did not even read the notes the asst Dr.put in, and when I tried explaining whats going on, they literally told me to get prescription for my child because they make more money from the Ohip benefits rather than actually sending my child to a specialist. Or even spending a bit more time to actually check whats going.
Top of that, while im calmly advising the doctor whats going on, he did not want to listen and would reply in a aggressive manner to establish his position.

Think before you let these doctors put random medicine in you without actually evaluating the situation, wasnt even that busy to properly navigate the situation, buddy just wanted to go for lunch.

Waiting time to get inside the room: 30mins
Dr.actually checking you: 3mins or less

Very aggressive Doctors on site, in it for the money not for your actual health, as per our experience.

Save your self the parking ticket, parking on site is NOT FREE and LIMITED

Oh and have cash ready cause thats what they eat.
Not the parking machine

I never make reviews but i was really really disappointed.

-So I made a series of blood test and I ask the doctor what I wanted to be done but seems like not all was done.

-I waited a week for results, the lady at the reception told me that they will call me when the results is available but they didn’t,

-I call myself and the person at the phone told me the usually call at the end of the day, ok!

-he was rude to me and hang up the call without allowing me to ask all my questions

-I don’t know if they couldn’t get me but I was even shouting so that they could hear me.

-If a patient takes his time to call. Take also that same time to help him out.

This is one of the closest walkin clinics to my house. And i must say the only one that stays open on Sundays.
I recently visited this clinic. It was about to open from 11am so I reached early but still there were around 20 people ahead of me in the line. It opened on time and then it took around 30 minutes after they opened the doors to register, which was very difficult for me to stand. I was feeling very weak and hardly able to stand anymore so the kind lady who registered me suggested me to go inside and sit in the waiting hall. The waiting area was clean, calm and comfortable and have a vending machine.
I waited there for around 2 and a half hours then my number came and when I seen the doctor Koffman i suddenly felt I am in the safe hands. I must say she is a good doctor. It’s been only 2 days visiting the doctor and I am feeling much better already.

Dr. Koffman is an incredible physician that goes above and beyond for her patients. Her knowledge and experience is definitely evident in how detail oriented she is in her exam and has a holistic approach which is always a plus. Her office staff are also very kind and super helpful.
18 September 2022 18:06
Wrong information about timing, they don’t take patients after 4 so basically the timing is 04: 00 not 05: 00

I rarely write reviews, but I had a great experience here today and wanted to boost the 5 star ratio! This was my first walk-in experience ever.and I feel great about it.

I'm technically on a GP's roster out in the west end that is in an office that I can only describe as a front for an OHIP scam. He is fine.or was 3 years ago when I last saw him.but they do not pick up the phone. Ever. I haven't been able to get through for various issues in years. After spending 20 minutes and then 45 minutes (!) on hold today with my "GP" today, I gave up for the last time. Usually I simply don't seek medical care as a result of this (which is so NOT the right answer) or I ask my old pediatrician's office for advice.

But I've been sick the past week. And I'm not getting worse. But I'm not getting better. And its frustrating to not know what's wrong. I'm fine riding out a wave of illness, but I wanna know what it is. And everybody is entitled to medical care.so I finally hit my breaking point today.

Not even sure what made me pick this walk in. It just.gave me good vibes? It's a Sunday and long weekend, and I had no clue what to expect but just figured I'd go, accept the fate of waiting, and hope for the best. Everyone at the desk was professional and kind. I was in a room within an hour. The nurse who took my BP and temperature was good and professional.

Waited only maybe five minutes for the doctor after that. Dr. Koffman was seriously awesome. She has a fantastic presence. I've felt so alone this week not being able to access a GP, and within a second of Dr. Koffman being in the room, I felt heard. She is very professional and so thorough with the very limited time she gets for each patient. She listened to me rattle my symptoms and the order they presented themselves over the past week, she did a small physical, and covered all the bases. I pointed out a medical episode I had a few months ago that may even be related but I do not know because I couldn't get through to my GP, which she listened to and that told her to test for more things. Everything from mono to thyroid to kidneys she thought to get checked.

She also heard me when I said how scared I was that I haven't been able to eat anything in a week and when I do I feel sick. She told me that could be acid reflux and a lightbulb went off in my head.that's exactly what it is and I never made the connection. Now, about 8 hours later, that's the symptom of the day (I guess, lol) and I have quite bad symptoms after just eating a bit. But because Dr. Koffman is so good, I have a prescription for acid production before I knew I needed it. She checked SO many boxes checked in such a short period of time.

The last note that I wanna add quickly is she sent me for blood work which was in the office just down the hall. Really convenient. The nurse that took it came in 30 seconds (no wait!) and administered the most painless blood test I've ever had.

So overall the wait was an hour.seriously not bad at ALL compared to what I was expecting. To see a great quality doctor on a Sunday in Ontario. Thanks to this clinic for working so hard, and on a Sunday long weekend too! I feel validated and hopeful for answers from my blood test.

EDIT: Dr. Koffman IS seriously awesome and my blood test results show that I have exactly what she suspected within the first 2 minutes of meeting me. I believe I acquired this in May when I last tried to contact my GP when I was sick and they wouldn't see me. Without Dr. Koffman, I never would've known I had this. Saw her again for a follow up and she was (once again) super kind, professional and thorough. We're going through all the bases and doing more testing. I'm now very happily her patient and have switched over from the other office. This clinic has also been fantastic with communication and calls as soon as results are ready to come in and meet with the doctor. No one wants to be sick, but finding this clinic was meant to be:)

Bye far the worst walk in clinic in North York. The clinic was poorly managed and has really bad hospitality towards customers, more specifically the receptionist. I had tried to call the clinic for three days and no one was picking up the calls and you can’t leave a voicemail because the voice messaging system was full. I was going to inquire about a TB testing and the fees before I come in the clinic to avoid wasting my time. On the fourth day I came on the time it opened and I had to wait one hour just for the receptionist to check my OHIP card, the receptionist was very rude and did not display any signs of acknowledgement. After waiting one hour she said that I had to pay $150 to get papers signed while other walk-in clinics in the area was only charging $45-$50. If only knew how to pick up their calls I wouldn’t have came in the first place And dealt with very bad customer service. My overall visit was horrible and I would never come back to this clinic. If there was an option to give you zero stars I would give zero. The receptionist was incredibly rude and should be replaced by someone who wants to work in the medical field.
06 August 2022 21:44
Best experience! Dr. Koffman saw me last minute way past closing time. She was so patient, answered all my questions and took the time to describe why I was sick, my recovery process and how to correctly take my medication. Highly recommend this clinic!
31 July 2022 19:40
Why don't you guys ever pick up the phone? I have been calling to book an appointment with doctor koffman, but no luck getting anyone on the phone. What kinda clinic is this?
20 July 2022 3:43
Even after multiple visits and waiting in the waiting room for a total of 6+ hours, this clinic failed to notify me about a very important diagnosis which led to me suffering from an unknown infection for three weeks. I can see that this clinic is absolutely swamped with walk-ins and that the staff is likely doing their best, but I will not be returning.
11 June 2022 17:26
Best walk in ever! I've been going to Dr. Koffman for over 5 years and she is very knowledgeable and patient. I moved to Pickering a few years ago and have tried different clinics and cannot find any good Dr's
They all misdiagnosed and seem to nor be very experienced. I may consider making the drive at this point. The only complaint I had were the wait times, but we'll worth the wait.
19 March 2022 13:56
The people working there were the best, they really respected me. Don't believe 1 stars rating, haters are everywhere. For me was an excellent experience. Thank you
07 November 2021 4:44
Really bad experience. Who is working for you at reception? After 6 pm 30/08 no one is working? Do u pay them less then minimum? They answered call 31/08 morning after 4 attempts; better no. Manage your businesses, check your rep: they behave intolerant
27 September 2021 13:16
For someone who says they close at 5pm, but lock the doors even 30mins before the posted closing time. You’re not helping patients.

Note: there’s only one patient inside and she herself is questioning why.
18 September 2021 2:30
I find Doc K to be kind and efficient. Just wish she would have am hours. Only complaint. Staff is really great also.
21 July 2021 12:17
This place has very good customer service and medical care. Yes, the wait time is long but in my opinion its so worth it. Dr. Kauffman is a very knowledgable, courteous, competent, and caring doctor with excellent bedside manners. She legit knows what she is doing and has so much expertise. If you have a chance go to Earl Bales Walk in. Try it! You might like the service. Thank you so much.
30 June 2021 9:33
It's hit or miss with this place. There are some days when the doctors are good and caring, then days when they act super annoyed to be there and be seeing patients and tell you to come back when your conditions get worse. You never know what you'll get!

Also, I've seen staff, mostly front desk but doctors too, be very impatient with patients who do not speak English fluently and struggle to communicate/understand. I recommend they be more cognizant of this as I'm sure it is not creating a welcoming atmosphere in a location with many immigrants. It was very uncomfortable to witness the receptionist yelling and getting annoyed at a patient who did not understand.

We understand the stress staff are experiencing with the pandemic, but there's no reason to take it out on patients, especially when patients are experiencing their own stress.
25 May 2021 2:13
I'm very pleased with the clinic's customer service, professional approach of all staff. Dealing with people and patients especially who are in pain or worriness is not an easy task. However, it's being managed attentively, respectfully and treating you with consistent courtesy. I'd like to express my appreciation to Rejoice who is at the front desk. She has been in the clinic for the long time that I've known her for and she always been professional and great to deal with.
19 May 2021 20:15
I called the clinic last sat march 20 @11: 17.

Me: hi goodmorning, how are you?

receptionist: faster, tell me what you need we just opened.

Very rude receptionist
16 May 2021 0:09
The worst customer service ever. What happened to professionalism? Just wow. I just called in today (May 4th) at around 10: 45 AM and this is how it went with the receptionist:

Me: Hello good morning! I would like to see if I can book an appt for my bloodwork?

R: *silence*

Me: Hello?

R: Hi

Me: Hello good morning! I would like to see if I can book an appt for my bloodwork?

R: No you can't do that here "honey" do that upstairs at Dynacare

Me: Okay, would they also do an ultrasound?

R: I don't know you should ask them

Me: Okay, thank you so much! I hope you have a great day!

She hanged up before I could wish her a great day:)

Earl Bales Medical Clinic provides such wonderful and efficient services that it should be used as a model for structuring new family medicine/urgent care clinics across the GTA. I come from Sudbury, where medical care is more old fashioned, non-anonymous, and patient-centered - something I struggled to find here in Toronto. Well, my search o
Is over because Dr. Allyson Koffman's medical expertise and bedside manner reminded me of home! It's also wonderfully refreshing to see a successful woman providing this service because I am anhuhe advocate for females in STEM professions. If you have doubts, just check her bio on thr website - Dr. Koffman has been educated at at ALL 3 of Canada's top schools - McGill, Queens, followed by UofT.
The support staff and nursing staff are just as warm and professional in their service provision.
Keep up the fantastic work docs, nurses, and staff!

I love this clinic super nice staff and very professional. I drive half an hour to go see doctor Ally k.she is amazing doctor and she cares about her patient with her whole heartily definitely recommend this place to everyone
26 November 2020 2:19
Dr. Koffman is very kind, empathetic and she has excellent bedside manner! Her patience and caring nature made me always go back, even if I have a family doctor. Dr. Koffman is the BEST!
03 November 2020 7:42
Usually quick service, and sweet receptionist is only good point. Dr. Handler seems to have no clue. Another (crude, European) doctor last year mocked me, "Seems everything's wrong with you, isn't it? " As a matter of fact I have an immune disease, suffered from autism since a child. Unlike him I'm sure, I have no family or friends in this country. How more discriminatory and callous can one be? I became depressed and gained 45 lbs between that visit and now. Dr. Kathleens the best there, but also no bedside manner.
06 October 2020 13:13
I just had the best experience at this clinic. Don’t understand what’s with the poor reviews. I expected to wait a long time. Came prepared with book in hand but was seen much sooner than expected. Dr Koffman was amazing and very thorough. Great bedside manner. Felt I was in good hands. Nurse friendly and sweet. This is my new walk-in clinic for the future.
28 September 2020 22:03
So much to say about how bad the doctors are here. I got 2 different blood pressure results back to back. Nurse to doctor. So much conflicting information. When I was told to come in for results and the doctor wasn’t even there. Over 1 hour wait for a doctor to come in. Then my test results were not even in.
19 September 2020 13:21
Excellent staff, very friendly! Provided great distancing measures and tended to everyone in a timely manner. Thank you again!
14 April 2020 7:56
Writing based on first experience. First impression was that the waiting/sitting room was so tiny! Front desk/intake person was normal, like any walk-in clinic. We were seen just after a few minutes, likely the time of day wasn't busy (1-2 p.m.). A nurse pre-screened. The doctor was informative, asked many questions, wasn't assuming, and took his time. He was attentive and included my daughter on the conversation, explaining to her what was wrong and how to recover, which I thought was very different from most walk-ins we've been to, where they just prescribe antibiotics for everything and send you off.
05 April 2020 0:26
Useless clinic. Doctor does not listen to patient concerns and send them to unnecessary specialists.
Nurse is just as useless, horrible assessment and a horrible attitude!
She should not work with patients.
13 March 2020 8:24
Super nice team from the moment you enter the clinic to leaving. Warm welcome when you enter, great nursing and Dr. Team. Will use as my regular walkin going forward. Im not sure how many are conplaining about wait times? Most walk in clinics I have ever been to have wait times, especially as a wakin? I didnt find wait times unusual, actually a tad quicker then norm.
09 March 2020 20:22
Worst place to go to for any medical needs. They made me wait for more than an hour before I could see the doctor. After that, he did not even listen to me and just rushed me off. Not a good experience at all.
26 December 2019 20:33
Waiting room is completely empty and we've been sitting here for 30 minutes inside of a doctor's room. In the meantime the doctor is out having a key in the parking lot! Can you tell me how the services clients?
06 December 2019 14:57
I found the Earl Bales Walk In Clinic online and called the number provided before my visit. I talked to the receptionist at 12: 50pm and was told that although the information posted online says it closes at 3: 00pm the doctor sees the last patient at 2: 00pm, I asked before making my way to the clinic if I would be able to see a doctor and was told if I come before 2: 00pm I would. When I arrived at 1: 35pm there were patients in the waiting room but the door was locked, I called to reception and was told that I wouldn’t be able to see the doctor after all.
Very unprofessional and unorganized, do not go here unless you’re willing to possibly waste your time.
04 December 2019 20:28
I Went on Saturday to the clinic at 1;45 the front door was locked
The side door was open and I went in. The receptionist said the Doctor told her to lock the door at 1: 30. On line it says they are open until 3: 00
I went to another clinic 4 blocks away and they had at least 30-40 people waiting to see the Doctor. There defiantly is something wrong at Earl Bales Clinic.
28 October 2019 5:54
I mean, how could a clinic workers can be so rude and inconsiderate to a patient? They should close this clinic. Unprofessional, disorganized and disgraceful. Ps racist too. You got to be phillip inos to be considered.
09 October 2019 22:18
I don't live in Toronto anymore but when I did, Dr. Koffman was my main doctor and she is a great doctor. She actually helps with what you need and takes the time to understand what you are going through. I miss coming to her!
03 October 2019 11:12
Terrible customer service. No privacy in patients calls at all every call the receptionist makes or receives is on loud speaker.

I was there with my mom few weeks ago, during her waiting period their computer system went down and the receptionist was calling out names from behind the counter.

Asking patients, “what the issues and why they were there to see the doctor rather having them come to the counter.

You could hav seen the uncomfortableness on the other patients face.
15 September 2019 15:40
One of the best walk In clinics I've been to the doctors are very knowledgeable and through. The owner Dr Koffman spends a fair amount of time diagnosing each patient and is not hesitant in sending you for tests if needed
28 June 2019 1:47
Huge mistake in coming here. I called ahead to make sure I knew I could fit in an appointment during my lunch break and two hours laters, I'm still here. Avoid this place.
27 June 2019 19:09
Besides long wait times (sometimes, not all the time) the waiting room is super small & crammed- besides that, Earle Bales is a wonderful walk in clinic. I got the chance to be seen by Dr. Rudy a few times & he is great + listens to you. Receptionist are "okay" not super friendly, but get the job done. Also, hours of business are great! Thank you!
30 April 2019 10:03
Seems very disorganized. I went for a walk-in visit regarding an injury at work, was prescribed Naproxen on the WSIB form, and then not given the prescription by the doctor. I was called that night but no one left a message, which is so bizarre for a medical office. At least say where you're calling from and who the message is for.
I went in the next day, the receptionist had not worked the day before, and couldn't figure out why I was called. I was called later 20 mins later that they figured out I had not been asked to sign the WSIB form. When I asked about the prescription for anti-inflammatory I had not been given, I was told I would need to make another appointment the following week, when they call about ultrasound results. It is a week later and I have not been called back, and I have now left two messages. Anti-inflammatory medication will be useless after waiting over a week after the injury. I wish I had gone to my family doctor but the location was convenient.
22 March 2019 10:53
Clean clinic, got seen quickly, friendly staff, and the doctor knew what was wrong with me right away!
21 March 2019 16:43
Nice receptionist at this walkin. She tries very hard to deal with the chaos of such a small waiting room. The doctors on staff go through the motions like most of the walkin clinics in this city. More of a herding type mentality. There is pay parking on the side of the building and there is a bus stop close by.
06 January 2019 14:11
They may still be prescribing FluoroQuinolone (FQ) Antibiotics. Be sure you’re not given an FQ without the latest Health Canada label update change on Jan. 23/17. All doctors everywhere should be informing you of the label change. If you agree to take an FQ than Docs need you to sign a waiver so you will no recourse to sue, which is good for both patient and doctor.

DO YOU HAVE ANY UNUSUAL OR UNEXPLAINED HEALTH ISSUES?

GOT FIBRO, CHRONIC FATIGUE, OR AN AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER?

NOT COMFORTABLE WITH DIAGNOSIS OF LUPUS, ALS, MS, ETC?

WE MAY KNOW WHY! YOU PROBABLY TOOK AN FQ ANTIBIOTIC!

CIPRO, LEVAQUIN, AVELOX, FLOXIN, OTHERS SICKEN AND KILL!

We are raising awareness about the surprisingly common adverse reactions to fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or FQs.

These are not traditional antibiotics and they routinely cause HORRIFIC DEBILITATING DAMAGE from head to toe.

We will also be announcing brand new research showing how the FQ molecules bind to our DNA. This is a way to prove that millions have been harmed around the world. The implications are staggering.

Part of the awareness problem arises because the adverse reactions often don't manifest until long after discontinuation of the drug, so the majority of victims have no idea what went so wrong. Adverse reactions are far more common and often far more severe than most doctors believe.

Many people diagnosed with fibromyalgia, lupus, Parkinson's, ALS, Lyme Disease, MS and more are actually suffering from fluoroquinolone toxicity! These common misdiagnoses routinely lead to mistreatment which often leaves the person in worse shape, not better. In fact, there are actually so many of us that it skews the data regarding the effectiveness of treatments for those who really do have these diseases. Those who figure out that their sudden decline in health is related to FQs face incredible denial by the medical community.

However, as a result of our ongoing efforts, there has been a wave of published research, global government activity and media attention regarding FQs recently, which will soon explode into one of the biggest news stories of the decade, the thalidomide story of our era, times a thousand. This is a hidden holocaust of almost unimaginable scope and scale.

Experts have estimated MASSIVE NUMBERS OF VICTIMS! Exrapolating from their published figures yields 12,000 DEAD IN ONTARIO during the 30 or so years FQs have been around (1), and roughly 116,250 to 174,375 people experiencing tendon ruptures, tendonitis, nerve pain and joint problems each year! (2) Patients also experience up to 387,500 psychiatric side effects annually (3), although admittedly, a lot of these would be the same people experiencing a variety of other health challenges as well. We tend to suffer a syndrome with numerous serious and often permanently disabling health issues setting in either all at once or in rapid succession.

Sometimes this damage is plainly evident in imaging and so on, but unfortunately much of it is undetectable with current technology.

Please come and join our public groups for non-FQ Victims in facebook and private groups for Floxies to learn more about the dangers of these drugs so you can protect yourself and your loved ones.

We will be setting up another petition for the Province of Ontario to investigate the enormous financial and human toll FQs are taking. Also, if you have experienced mysterious symptoms of pain, peripheral neuropathy, psychiatric symptoms, tendon or connective tissue issues, tremors, IBS or other gastrointestinal issues then come and chat to the many victims who are in our public and private groups to find out if you may actually be experiencing fluoroquinolone toxicity, something that is quite likely since doctors hand the stuff out like candy despite warnings from Health Canada, FDA, EMA and so on. Please inform anyone you know who is sick all the time or who suffers from a condition like this about our Fluoroquinolone Antibiotic Facebook groups.they need to know!
