East Place Chinese Restaurant

The lady I spoke to was nice but the food quality is so low poor. Noodles were slimey and musty. Spare ribs texture was so rough like it was in the fridge and reheated a week later. Chicken was rough af. The get a 0 star rating for food

I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein. Absolutely delicious and the portions are huge! I will definitely order from here again.

On this day I met my cousin at this Chinese Food Restaurant, it was recommended by her as her and her family frequents it on a regular basis. We had made plans to go somewhere else, but it was packed, so we ended up here. Very quiet and comfortable atmosphere, we dined inside, the waitress greeted us upon arriving and offered us a comfortable padded booth. We don’t eat that much, but we ordered a Dinner for 2 on the menu. The food came promptly to our table, 2 egg rolls it’s plum sauce, and 3 huge platters, (1) of BBQ pork fried rice (1) of Garlic Dry Ribs and finally a platter of mixed veggies (broccoli, onions, carrots, mushrooms, celery and mini corns). All nice and hot. Needless to say, we couldn’t eat it all, didn’t even put a dent in it. Waitress was more then accommodating and issued us 2 styrofoam containers to take home. We evenly split the rest up between us, and both had plenty to take home, we had 2 ice teas for beverages. After finishing our meal, waitresses was kind and told us there was no hurry. So we must have sat there a good 45 minutes to an hour or more catching up on our families. I personally don’t live in this area (Centennial Pwky), but if ever in this area and I’m in the mood for some Chinese Food, I’d have no hesitation in returning. Excellent food-Had no complaints here.

Favourite place for Chinese! Have been getting take out from here for many years. Food is fresh, delicious, great portions and the staff is very accommodating if you have to make substitutions or additions. 100% recommend.

This used to be our go to place in the 90’s but unfortunately the food did not live up to my child hood memories.

I don't know why this is my first time trying this restaurant but I will definitely be back again!

Ordered the combo for 1 D and oh my goodness it's a massive portion enough to feed me for the whole day! It satisfied all my cravings and the best part is that they fill the largest portion of the takeout container with meat and veggies (usually other restaurants will fill the large compartment with rice).

I also ordered the general tso chicken and the batter stayed nice and crispy even though the sauce was coating it. I'll definitely be ordering from here more often!

Wasn't very tasty. Despite being a more pricey resteraunt the food was very bland and tasteless. I would never eat here again and I feel I should have been reimbursed for the whole meal. It was obvious there was not alot of effort was put into what was served in our order. Very disappointed overall, it's very likely I am not the only customer who was not happy with their food. Hopefully the owner will read these comments and make sure others have a satisfying experience.

I just moved here so I had to find a new Chinese restaurant to order from. I had 6 guests come over so I opted to order food as to not be overwhelmed with cooking. So I found this restaurant that was the closest to my house and ordered all of our usual favorites dishes and hoped for the best. My guests and I were pretty underwhelmed and I wouldn't order from here again.

For ease of reading I'll rate each dish that we ordered and ate.

Sweet Sour Chicken balls - It was good, basically your typical chicken balls that you can get from any other Chinese restaurant.

Beef Broccoli - It is what to expected but portions are too small.

General Tso Chicken - Once our teeth got past the VERY tough fried outer breading you are then met with VERY chewy chicken inside. It tasted like breaded chicken that was fried a day before and then re-fried the next day for a little too long. Too hard to eat.

Orange chicken - Same as the general tso's. Very hard and very tough. Tasted like re-fried chicken. Also too hard to eat.

Honey Garlic Chicken wings - Very VERY soggy. The breading was falling off the meat. Extremely sweet and literally dripping with sauce. I couldn't eat it.

Black pepper beef - There was more sauce than anything. A couple pieces of beef and lots of onions drowning in a bowl of watery sauce. Taste was okay.

Shanghai lo mein - Really good and spicy. I would eat it again.

Chicken lo mein - Tasteless

Chicken fried rice - Decent but tiny portions.

Wings were not seasoned and extremely over battered. Only 8 Wings fit in the box due to the batter. Ordered 2 combination plates and supposed to come with ribs if you can find them! 2 little bits of ribs. Very disappointed. Asked for all chop Suey and no rice and gave me all rice! By the way don't think about delivery told it would be a 2 hour wait.

Absolutely horrible food. Tastes like she never cleaned her oil. All dishes tasted re-heated.
The shrimp fried rice contained zero vegetables.
The gravy was some sore of gelatinous mystery matter. The resto itself appears dusty and unwelcoming, she had chairs blocking the dining area even there there was a couple sitting and eating.
Will avoid this place like the plague.

Was ok the first time I ordered from here.
Second time most of it went into the garbage.
The fried rice was good but they give you a super small portion.
Won't be ordering from here any more.

Everytime I am in Stoney Creek, I look forward to getting my China's food fix at East Place. This restaurant uses quality ingredients and it noticeable in every dish. The Orange chicken is an excellent dish and worth a try. There single dinner combo are amazing with great portions. This is one of my top choices food restaurant if not the top choice.

Will not be ordering from here again. Poor quality food. Actually disgusting. What a waste of money.

Horrible orders literally ordered for 6 got meal for 2 and barely meat in Chow mein and beef with mushrooms paid 80 and got nothing called back and she was laughing poor amount for the price and poor service order elsewhere where u will actually get what you order and your monies worth.
