Great place! Staff was exceptionally nice and the doc put our minds at ease. We had our kitty neutered with no hiccups. Will be back again!

Advertises as an affordable vet, but finds ways to upcharge. I've taken our cats in, one previously for dental extractions the doctor said were necessary. I brought my senior cat in once to deal with crystals in her urine, and he advised we would need to keep her on the expensive (yet low quality) prescription food permanently (bought from this clinic of course), we resolved the issue by adding water to her breakfast kibble and her wet food at night. I brought her in again recently after she developed some trouble eating, the doctor again advised dental extraction. I took her to another vet for a second opinion because ESAH quoted me up to $2500 for the procedure. The second vet laughed and told me she's perfectly healthy, just in need of a dental cleaning due to tartar buildup, and some antibiotics to deal with the inflammation. Surgery totally unnecessary. We will not be bringing our animals back.

Wonderful care provided by both Dr.and staff. I tried a few vets in the city and am now driving out to this clinic from Brampton because I am happy with the reasonable and up front estimates provided and the thoroughness of the care for my two puppies. Would recommend to my friends and family.

We travel quite a bit to take our 2cats to East Side Animal Hospital. All stuff are polite, understanding and kind to animals and people. The clinic is clean and we never had to wait for longer than 10 minutes. Highly recommended!

I called and asked for an immediate appointment which was graciously granted. The vet was very kind and gentle with my cat.

The vet, Dr. P and staff are awesome and patient! Price is affordable! My puppy's 1st visit today and she was sooo good, never flinched when she got her 1st set of needles and her nails cut!

You guys are awesome! I love it here. I just noticed some negative reviews. Don’t listen to them. I just started coming here and have referred people here already. I love how it’s a no frills vet. You know we are all conscious of pricing with vets. They could have charged me a lot of money when I first came in and the doc was honest with me and said just see how it goes over next couple days and said he thought Bodhi, my 8 week old Ragdoll kitten, would be fine. I was so scared about losing my new kitten who wouldn’t eat. And guess what? ! He was right! He could have charged me with $1000 worth of tests as other vets have done and he didn’t. I love how you tell us the price before you start so there’s no surprises. Your prices are totally fair. I have noticed that vets have become unreasonable over the years. I have been to several vets, particularly in the Beaches, where the prices at times have been shull shocking and had no idea it was coming.

The ladies at the front desk are so sweet, friendly and helpful. The Doc seems very nice and honest to me. What more can I ask for? Plus, he’s on time! Also, everyone is so efficient with emails, updates and invoices. I’ve never seen a vet practice so organized, timely and covers all details necessary. You never have to ask for anything, they already got it covered. I am so happy to have found you!

We brought our cat Reese after a surgery complication and the veterinarian was very understanding and sympathetic towards our situation. Our cat is much happier after the veterinarian resolved our rare issue. Great value and service!

Very unprofessional. I went to him to get a prescription for flee and tick prevention and he made a mistake and gave me 1 prescription for 6 months instead of 12 months. Keep in mind he charges more than $40+ for just 1 prescription. During my visit, he assured me that he will write the prescription for 12 months. Today, I was looking at the prescription and realized he made a mistake. I called them and he literally cut the call on me after telling me that "I am the owner so I can change the policy. " He also informed me that I will have to pay another $40+ for him to prescribe another 6 months. Back in December, he changed the price of prescriptions from around $20 to $40+ without notice. There is a lot more cons than pros of this place so its your choice if you want to still go to him but I wouldn’t trust it.

We've been going to this place for many years now. My dog Ozwald is very healthy, the vet is nice as well as the staff.

Turned in to an emergency situation, with our dogs eyes.turns out not scratched, but, an infection.we were given some eye drops and we noticed a change by the next day.
The cost we affordable, and the quickest service certainly put our fears to rest. Thank for such great help, when we were in a panic.

Started going to Eastside animal hospital when our Cat Babs was a kitten, we got him Neutered and micro chipped at East Side for a reasonable cost and they were very kind.

When we got our dog Victor we took him to East Side for a check up and when he was diagnosed with heart failure and we had to put him down he said Animal Hospital was affordable gave us excellent care and was super kind to us. I would definitely recommend them

My cat needed EXTENSIVE dental work. After shopping around this place was by far the most reasonable. The Dr.was very knowledgeable and professional. The staff was great. Worth the drive across Toronto.

I do not recommend this place. My little dog had ben seen this place for regular visit. Two weeks ago, I took my little one there since there was concern he may have cancer. The vet checked by charging $50 extra for going inside his annas and told us it may be cancer.when we asked him whether he could refer a specialist.he said NO. After we got home, I started calling the specialist by searching online and found out that the most of places do not take direct call. It means we have to be referred by the vet. It ended up we had to go to another vet to get exam so that the vet can refer us to a specialist.

This place takes money but does not do work. Also vet and staff are not friendly to your fur kids at all.not responsible at all not friendly

The veterinarian and their staff clearly do not care about the animals that they are treating. They are not caring, gentle, or comforting. I took my 2 kittens here for their vaccines, 1 of which needed deworming as well. The kitten that didn't need to be dewormed was dewormed literally that morning from our regular vet, yet the staff kept insisting he needed to be dewormed right then and there again. Reading the other reviews of pet owners and their experiences here sicken me. This veterinarian is horrible. You may be saving money going here but it is not worth it when you consider how terrible the service and treatment is.

I had taken one of my puppies previously to a clinic near by and all of her vaccines and preventative care came to 400. Today I took two of my puppies to East side animal hospital and the total came to 515 for two puppies. The only thing that is really bothering me is that they don't offer on site fecal examinations. They said they will have to send it to a lab and the process will take 2 days, but hello isn't this an animal hospital? What kind of hospital doesn't have on site lab or even a mini lab? It's really really bothering me

Dr. Suresh is amazing! I adopted a senior rescue dog who needed a lot of work done. He had 4 broken teeth and 1 large tumor taking over the whole front of his mouth, as well as a smaller tumor on his gums and a strange "corn-like" growth on his back paw. Needless to say, I was very concerned about the dog going under anesthesia due to his age, and all the work that had to be done, but Dr. Suresh was extremely patient and understanding. He took the time to address all of my dog's issues, and did the pre-surgery bloodwork/exam and the surgery itself at a very reasonable price.

I was able to book my dog's surgery almost immediately. Pre-surgery I was able to speak to Dr. Suresh in detail about everything to be done and realistic expectations post surgery.

Although it was quite an extensive and difficult procedure, it went off virtually without a hitch! I'm extremely grateful to Dr. Suresh for his personalized care and patience with my boy.

When I went to pick him up he was still quite groggy, but Dr. Suresh was checking his heart and monitoring his vitals and he and his staff assisted me in getting him into my vehicle. Dr. Suresh gave me his personal cell phone number should any additional issues arise over night. He also patiently provided detailed follow up instructions, including a post-op check up to be scheduled in about 10 days free of charge.

This morning Dr. Suresh phoned me again personally, to check on my dog's recovery. My boy is doing great! He's pretty much bounced back almost completely since his major surgery yesterday, and I couldn't be happier with his progress and the amazing standard of care he received at the East Side Animal Hospital.

It is worthwhile to note as well, that Dr. Suresh also owns and operates the O'Connor Veterinary Clinic and I will be taking my dog there for his post op checkup since the location is a bit more convenient for us.

LYNN IS THE BEST.so accommodating and friendly. They doctor is so patient and calm. This clinic is no pressure and no hidden fees for anything. Their degree of transparency really helps the experience be manageable and prepared.

We have gone to this animal hospital for years w our old dog who passed away several years ago BUT now we our back and taking our new fur baby there. They are great animal lovers, compassionate and reasonably priced.

I brought my new kitten to get his vaccinations today and it was a great experience friendly and clean environment and doctor and staff are amazing and honest, and great affordable prices. I will definitely be coming back.

I had my Siamese kitten spayed and declawed last week and was very pleased y her surgeries. Excellent doctor!

It was my first visit to this clinic. I found the vet is so knowledgeable and the price of service is also reasonable.
I prefer this clinic in Scarborough.

Most unreliable place to take your pets, if I had a second chance I wouldn’t think twice about paying double or even triple for my little kitten. I brought it to this place for a vaccine and also let him know my pet is just recovering from respiratory illness, but the doctor sort of brushed it off and said it’ll be fine, he just rushes on to the next steps, just to be over and done with my pet. I also made sure to know the price before hand and they said it would be around $50-60 but the bill ended up being around 100+ from which I had to manually deduct. Save your pet and yourself the rouble and don’t go here.

Terrible. The doctor barely told me what was wrong with my pet and then processed to tell me I should get an xray which costs $200 because of the way he reacted to the temperature check.

I felt as if the vet did not care about my pet, rather only the money.

I went to another vet recently, a few months after this place. They discovered a few things that this Doctor failed to notice. They even asked me how this doctor did not notice these things and I asked the same question as well.

Paid, the doctor didn’t know anything. Just tried to upsell us to do all these additional tests and things. Didn’t provide any feedback. Save your money and go somewhere else.

It gives me good piece of mind to know I have a good quality vet, for extremely affordable prices. He makes it possible for EVERYONE to be able to afford vet care, which anywhere else can be very expensive. Very grateful.

I left a message Friday morning and received a call back Friday afternoon. I made an appointment for my kitten to get his first round of vaccines. My little Newt was treated kindly which i greatly appreciated.

To start, this is my pet owning approach: My kittens were adopted from a breeder after interviewing several to find one who was super loving and i knew their 8wk intro to the world was well socialized. They each have trupanion insurance from kittenhood with no pre-existing with all the add-ons ie natural medicine, behavioural training, etc. It’s very important to me that they don’t get traumatized at the vets and lovingness is important to me. My babies have received nothing but love since birth. Especially during covid when we can’t go in with our pets going into an unknown place. Something about this vet didn’t sit right with me. He didn’t have the warmth that i want in a vet based in his interaction with me.i would pay more for gentle kindness. Something didn’t feel right to me, so i left after our interaction. The people leaving bad reviews might have sensed what i sensed. Went instead to a vet who has won veterinary awards from Now magazine. What a difference! They met me with the warmth that I want my pets to receive.

This vet reminds me of the impersonal interactions of medical staff in human emergency rooms. Your a number for their shift and here i feel your pet is a number. Is he competent? I couldn’t say because I left after interacting with him. I didn’t trust him that he’d be warm and gentle with my feline children.

My kitten had her first appointment with this vet today & everything turned out very well. She did great. She was spayed, they even clipped her nails for me & cleaned her ears that needed to be treated for ear-mites. Dr. P Is very knowledgeable, understanding & caring. He answered the phone personally to answer any questions or concerns I had before taking her here for surgery. He is very nice & the prices are good too. I definitely will be bringing her back from now on. Thank you to you & ur receptionist there for taking good care of my Mya. See you soon for her post surgery check up!

East side animal clinic was great with my kitten. First time ever taking my Wolfe to this vet and they were awesome. Picked up my boy the same day I dropped him. The procedure went smooth, my poor boy made in his carrier and the clinic was kind enough to clean Wolfe and the carrier. Wolfe ended up vomiting due to pain killers and anesthesia I was worried and the clinic was able to squeeze me in last minute the same day. They gave him anti nausia meds and some probiotics. Since then my boy's been feeling great.can't forget to mention the affordability this clinic provided. Definitely recommend this clinic.

We brought our kitten here for vaccination and surgery and they were exceptional. Our ginger boy was well taken care of and everything was explained to us in detail. No hidden fees of any kind! The staff and vet are very friendly and you never felt uncomfortable leaving your pet there for care. Thank you

Really good vet overall, the only little problem is that there is always nobody answer the phone or callback.

I chose not to use them. As they wanted far too many tests that I did not need and I could not afford.

I regret not reading all of the bad reviews from East Side Animal Hospital! Dr. Suresh is a horrible human being that doesn’t care about animals and one of those vets who only care about money. We had an appointment yesterday for an exam and X-ray, plus all the extra fees the vet decided to lay out and gave us the total before taxes. Besides the point, Dr. Suresh informed us that our dog has a dislocated hip and recommended an emergency clinic. I kindly asked if he could call and transfer the records, he refused and sent me the xrays through email claiming that’s all we will need. We went to the emergency clinic just to find out that we wouldn’t be able to get a quote, unless Dr. Suresh contacted them directly. The time we got to the emergency clinic, East Side Animal Hospital was closed and there was no way to contact Dr. Suresh. We decided to go home and contact more vets about getting an approximate quote. We called Vets Toronto and they were very helpful! They recommended FHO surgery and gave us a quote but we were also still looking around for affordable vets. Dr. Suresh called me today asking if I made it to the emergency clinic, I briefly explained that they couldn’t give us a quote because he didn’t contact them so we decided to go elsewhere. I also mentioned that I was looking around for affordable vets and trying to get an approximate quote for surgery. Dr. Suresh said that our dog needs surgery right away and that I should just hand him over to the humane society if I cannot afford to pay for his surgery. I told him that I was arranging an appointment with Vets Toronto which I did after hanging up the phone. Around a half an hour later I get a phone call about a report being made on our dog not getting proper care! Dr. Suresh literally harassed me less than 24 hours after our appointment and then has the nerve to make a false report. I had a friendly conversation with whom he made the report too, they were very understanding and stated the report as “unnecessary. ” My dog isn’t abused nor neglected. I’ve been searching for affordable vets and quotes since I left the emergency clinic yesterday. I went to Vets Toronto today, they did an exam and gave me the exact total for surgery. They completely understood my reason to search, compare vets, get quotes and didn’t judge me based on what I can only afford. Vets are expensive and we all know that! Dr. Suresh on the other hand doesn’t care about you or your animals, if anything he will try to take them away! Well nice try and thanks for nothing! I hope you enjoy your overpriced vet bill because that’s the last cent you will ever see from me. I do not recommend East Side Animal Hospital and look out for Dr. Suresh. He’s a Jekyll and Hyde in disguise.

Dr. P is an amazing doctor, as well as the staff. Would 100% recommend for others. Everyone is friendly, caring and also its very clean environment. Love the cat they have name poppy, it's the most friendliest cat i ever met.

Got good treatment for my cat at a reasonable price. Although wonder if the blood test and extras are really necessary.

I called to pick up some dog food and was told that I would need my dog to be seen for her to get the food. A complete money grab, as no other vet clinic requests this. I would not be paying this much for specialty food if my dog did not need it. Would not recommend, as if they request a service that costs a lot of money just to buy dog food, what else are they charging extra for.

Good doctor for a good price, not overpriced like most vets closer to the city of To. Plus the ginger cat in there is worth any short wait:)

Took my dog here after my regular vet disrespected me and my fur baby. This clinic is amazing. Great service. I now have a new veterinarian. I recommend this clinic to everyone.

Made an appoint with them today at 5: 30pm. I called them at 5: 30 pm, since I was still stucking in the traffic. I was trying to tell then I will be there in 5 minutes. This is the first time i went there, I got off from the wrong subway station. No one answered the phone. It was directly transfered to voice mail box and said they were closed. I took 2 hours get there, but they was already closed. Why are they accepted the 5: 30 pm appointment even they are close at 4: 00 pm? Why no one call me and tell me they will close at 4: 00pm. The worst experience every. Waste half a day and I even left work 2 hours earlier for this.

Decided to bring my cat for grooming along with his yearly vaccine as it is located near my workplace. 5 star for the vet whom shaved my cat flawlessly and allowed me to bring him home before the sedation has worn off due to my tight schedule.

Affordable prices. Doctor is a nice man who follows up on his patients. Was so very kind to come back to the clinic after hours do I could pick up my dog after I wasn't able to make it there before they closed. Thank you ️

I took my cat for dental cleaning and teeth extraction. I had a great experience. The doctor explained everything very well. The prices are all reasonable.

My son & I had to take their dog to see the vet here. Friendly, clean environment & gentle yet thorough with their treatment of my son's dog. I recommend them.

This vet is a crook and doesn't mind hurting animals! PLEASE BEWARE! I just took my cat today and was hoping to get a blood test for her as she's puking often. He was examining her and when it came to taking her temperature, he put the thermometer in her behind and I saw him shove in so hard that it would have hurt any human! I saw his face as if he was aiming to slightly miss, drew his hand back far away from her butt and then AT ONCE CHARGING IT IN! Why did he draw his hand back so much and shove it in like that with speed? I've done it 20 times before, the tip is very tiny it should slide in with no pressure, no speed necessary! This incompetent doctor made my cat squeal right in front of me! It all made sense at the end that he was aiming to hurt her or to show me that she's in pain so he can force pain killers on us. My cat bit my hand while I was holding her from what he did! Shes been licking her butt since we got home and won't let me near her behind! My car thinks that I took her to the vet for that? Geeze!

What's Worst is he brings out recommendations, had the blood test on there, plus urine test, x-ray and he had a pain injection and pain medication to take home, and something about a 100$ fee if she needs to be referred to specialist? Why would I pay him $100 for a referral to a specialist? My car didn't make any signs of pain even when he was squeezing her stomach very very strongly. There doesn't seem to be much wrong maybe some constipation causing vomiting. And my cat is not in pain and giving pain medication to animals is not good if there is a serious problem the cat won't feel it or show any signs if she's high on pain meds! Pain meds are usually for after surgery or painful procedure which NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. Also my cat seems to be having constipation and possible obstruction so giving her the pain meds he recommended would cause even worst constipation and possible death if obstruction! I mean he was aiming to hurt her again with those meds THE WORST PART IS HE REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING FOR HER UNLESS SHE TOOK THE PAIN MEDS! Again it would make her condition/constipation much worst I guess he wants that 100$ referral to a specialist!

I told him I'd only like to do the blood and urine test today and HE REFUSED TO HELP MY CAT IF SHE WASN'T GETTING THE PAIN MEDS! What the hell kind of INCOMPETENT, UNEDUCATED AND SELFISH VET IS THIS!? He didn't even deserve the exam fee!
Why this vet has high ratings bewilders me! But he doesn't even deserve the 30$ exam fee (WHICH IS A SCEME JUST TO GET PEOPLE INTO HIS CLINIC BY THE WAY SO HE CAN ADD OTHER THINGS) because he HURT HER, ON PURPOSE TO SHOW ME "SHE'S IN PAIN" TO PRESCRIBE PAIN MEDS ; ALSO I THINK HE MEANS TO MAKE THE SITUATION WORST SO HE CAN MAKE MORE MONEY OFF THE POOR ANIMAL THAT HE OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT! We were very impressed with The Dr he was very upfront and honest about pricing. The prices are very good. The place was very clean. The Doctor was very professional and kind. He was also very gentle with our kitty.

I went to this clinic sept last year. My dog had an ear infection. The vet told us that he has to take the sample and look at the microscope what kind of bacteria (charged $25) then after 10minutes he charged us antibiotics which he said thats what the lab.test result the bacteria is sensitive to. Then he charged us 60$ for ear drops Canaural which later on i checked Amazon that its only 18$. Then he checked my dogs fur and insisted that the tiny dust is lice and told that 25$if i will have my dog vaccinated. All in all i spent $198.
Going to this clinic is like riding to a cab to which the meter goes up every seconds. I am doing this review just now bcoz todayi found a very affordable, reasonable price vet. Spacious for sick dog. Gentle and my dog got well.
Vet clinic shd not only think about money. They shd not take advantage of the time when our beloved pets are sick and all we have to say is yes doctor.

Took our cat for a blood test so she could get her leukaemia shots done on a later date. We warned the vet that our cat doesn't always like other people but is always fine with us. The vet proceeded to get a muzzle and put it on her that covered her mouth and eyes. At this point our cat started to freak out and the vet took her to a different room. We could hear our cat screaming, crying, and sounds of something banging for a good 5 minutes. When the vet brought her back she was panting, tongue hanging out, covered in feces, and blood. Her neck had blood around it from the vet attempting to draw blood and he told us he might not have gotten enough for the test to work. Her back right paw had blood on it from one of her claws being torn. Extremely dissapointed in how much our cat was harmed during this experience. We managed to clean her off after and obtained no scratches and she didn't squeal. See photos of experience and post clean of our baby doing okay. Hopefully her claw does not get infected and her neck heals. Other reviews praise this place for their cheap prices but the price isn't worth the pain to our cat.

I take my puppy here. This place is always clean and staff friendly. I reccomend coming here. The prices are less than other places but you still receive the same quality of service.
