Loved the place. Has beautiful decor, lively atmosphere, really good food, and lovely people.

Came here for late dinner on a snowy day, service and atmosphere was great the place is so pretty and the food was amazing and great value for your money. Will definitely return.

Super disappointing service. I had guests from Alberta who wanted to eat here specifically.

Ordered hummus, the main and kunafa at around 920pm. The hummus came first and quickly but at around 10pm the host came to say that we couldn’t get the main order due to a problem with the grill. Extremely disappointed at this point, they said they could bring us the kunafa to enjoy. At this point we just paid for the hummus and kunafa and left. Very bad service.

We had a stunningly awful experience at East Tea Can. To start with, we were walking in and were told that the wait was about 25-30 minutes. This was just about as long as we were willing to wait, and we were fine with that. At around the half an hour mark, I asked them how long it would take, and was told that the next table was ours. We then kept being told the same thing every time we inquired, while other people were being seated. In the end, it took them over an hour to seat us, and we feel we were only seated because we threatened to leave.

We then ordered the dip platter, spinach manakeesh, shish tawouk bowl, shish tawouk kids bowl, falafel bowl, and the chicken kabab. The dip platter was great, and the main reason the food gets two stars. However, the manakeesh was pretty sour, and the shish tawouk kids bowl had fries that were so salty that they were inedible. As a result, the chicken sitting on top of the fries was also inedible.

We explained this to the server, and were offered a replacement, but we declined and requested a discount instead. The food was clearly barely eaten, but we only got a $1.4 discount. Our plates were also never cleared before new plates were brought, and we were never asked if we needed anything unless we flagged a server down. Just awful service all around. I could excuse this if they were overly busy and stretched, but we could see the staff chatting casually in the corner.

Would not recommend and will not be returning.

The atmosphere is family-friendly. I felt like I was at home, and the food is wonderful in terms of taste, appearance and arrangement. I recommend trying it.

I am a big lamb lover and this place pleasantly surprised me. The combination of savory rich rice & flavourful lamb shank with the blend of spices just took it to the top level.my new favorite place for lamb shank. I will definitely be back to try their other dishes. I dropped this review to 3 after my recent visit and a very unpleasant experience.the lamb was completely off and not fresh & I got food poisoning

East tea can was on our must try list and my wife took there on Father's day I was already surprised, but the class of service we received from Karam was exceptional they way he communicated was so polite friendly n professional and to top it off with food was aaammmzzziinngg we really liked it. N must recommended place to try

I was at this place 6 weeks ago and my experience was horrible. The food was good but the service was terrible. I will never return to this place. The waitresses have no customer service skills and the girl that served us was not friendly, on the contrary. We got ask "what do you want to order? " we're never offered drinks, not even a good evening, how are you! I did not tip and would never, if you are miserable to be there and serve others. Wish them good luck with this, if they don't look at the servicing aspe t of their business, which is what a restaurant is.

Not the best in town. Portions are very small for the big amount of money you spend. Will not be back!

This place is fantastic for lebanise food.staff was very friendly and following covid protocols as best as they could.went in for some turkish coffee did have high hopes, but they delivered on point.definitly coming back very soon.

Lively atmosphere, a buzzing place. The food was good, particularly the tabouli salad, the hummus dip platter of 4 different flavors (all so delicious) and the fresh warm bread. I also got the mixed grill for 2 with the vermicelli rice and pickles, all of the meat was delicious. The kofta tagine with the couscous is really flavorful. Service was great and prices were reasonable.

The food was so good and delicious! I liked the samoon bread, was fresh and baked right from the tandoor (cylindrical clay oven). If you like Hummus, the dip platter is the best option where you can try spicy, beet and regular hummus all together. The menu will change in 2 weeks, I am excited to try new dishes. Definitely worth the try

Finally got to try this place after many recommendations from friends and family, and it was definitely worth the hour wait. A word of caution, it can get very busy on weekend nights, and if you're on the waitlist, keep checking back because depending on the phone you have, sometimes you might not receive the text from their app/service. The decor and ambiance is absolutely amazing, worth the visit just to see it lol. And the food was spectacular! Our personal favorites were the dip sampler and the signature beef skewer - it was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection - not to mention the eye-catching presentation. The service was fast and friendly. Ended the night with kunafa, a latte and a nice conversation with the manager/owner who shed light on the waitlist situation. Was looking forward to the chai Karak but they didn't have any that day.: (Will definitely be back with family and friends!

Best spot in mississauga. The staff are amazing and welcoming, the food is always tasty and wonderful. The interior design is cozy and cute. We’ll always recommend the falafel and shish tawook bowls. This place is a must!

Amazing food and the ambience is really nice, enjoyed their house lemonade as well! Tried the saffroni chicken and it did not disappoint!

Very overpriced but the ambience is really good. I recommend getting the mezze platter and the special blend tea! The hummus with chicken is absolutely delicious- 10/10 recommend. The kebabs aren't worth the price though.

This is a really nice Mediterranean food place. I like this place because they are not just another shawarma place. In fact they don't even carry shawarma on their menu. They have a few of the common items but also some interesting traditional Arabic dishes. And they keep updating their menu, which is awesome and says a lot about their business sense. Their bread is pretty unique and they have an interesting variety of hummus, which I found intriguing.
The presentation of the food and the ambience if you are dining in, is really good. If you are taking out, packaging is good too. In summer they have a decent patio.
And yes this is the only place where I found, among other traditional deserts, um-ali!

This has to be one of my favorite middle Eastern places in Mississauga. The staff is very friendly, accommodating, and polite. The food is great (you must try their sample hummus tray- the roasted red pepper hummus is to die for). Their breakfast is also amazing! I liked everything I ordered. The place itself is clean and inviting.

Simply mind blowing. Tried this for the first time and it turned out to be fabulous. This is the first place where Chicken Tawook was so soft and juicy. Their Iraqi kebab was phenomenal. Let me summarize, literally every food item was so flavourful and delicious including the Chai Karak

Food was delicious. Just-on another level of tasty. Ambiance was phenomenal especially the outdoor seating (was hesitant in the beginning but a must do before the weather turns) Service was polite classy and impeccable. All and all a restaurant that needs to be visited.

Their ambience is really great. Servers are very respectful and they take really good care of customers. Food quality is really good and dips are amazing when you acquire a taste for them
Lemonades were refreshing and overall a very good dining experience

Worst place in Mississauga. Stood in the store for 20 minutes, no one bothered to come say hi or take my order. Waiters walking back and forth in front of me and not even a hello. No one behind the cash. One guy even went to greet a couple that came after me. I think they favor larger families to single customers. But this isn't four seasons.gave up and left. Service and respect is everything this place won't last shame to even call it an Arabic restaurant.

Ambiance: This restaurant stays true to its theme, unlike other similar establishments this restaurant has done well in terms of decor starting with the entrance (big blue doors) There are art pieces all over the restaurant.

Brunch: we tried their brunch menu Scrambled egg with ground beef: I thought it was very tasty though my egg was a little overcooked but it was still tasty.

Flafel: tasty as well

Hummus: have had better but the fresh bread it comes with is very good

Shakshuka: my least favourite. There were chunky pieces of tomatoes in it and just bland sauce. I have certainly had better Shakshuka.

They serve tea in small glass cups and a pot.

I went today for dinner, waited for 15 min no one came to take our order and they were not even busy … they have way too many people working there and this kind of service we get, cannot imagine how bad this place will be if they get busy.
At the end we gave up and left before they we even eat.

Really disappointed. We heard a couple of good reviews and decided to try it out. We ordered pickup.
- chicken schnitzel - was not freshly cooked. They took (probably frozen) a schnitzel and just warmed it on a pan, it had charring on it, so we know it was done on a pan. It was dry, stale and not tasty at all.
- the meat and other things we ordered did not have a specific flavour. Did not live up to the hype for sure.
- Chicken Hummus - reason for a 2 star review. This tasted the best.

The location is nice, but since we such a bad experience with our pick up order, we don’t even want to go in.
Slightly over priced.

One of the best authentic places that serves freshly baked manakeesh, bread and everything that your heart desires from the Arab world!

Very friendly staff and excellent service.
Our server was Ala’a. He was super nice and helpful to say the least.

East Tea Can, is a creative name that tells the story of the place and their food presentation brings you close to home

A must try for sure

I’ve been there couple times prior to the pandemic but upon my return last week, I was surprised and disappointed with both service and the food quality. Not only did they change their menu and removed 75% of their breakfast options, but the options that were available came terribly made. For example, the foul mudammas was simply an emptied can of beans, without it being cooked or seasoned. The egg options were unavailable and the lone egg that came was only half an egg that is over cooked and dry. (See attached photo) Absolutely terrible experience!

This has always been one of my fave places in the GTA for breakfast and sadly, I probably won’t be going there again.

Very well decorated and great ambiance. We got the roasted red pepper hummus, and it came with fresh hot pita. The dinner plate could be shared with 2 people. Rice has a great flavour with saffron, very unique. Chicken was not over cooked, was cooked perfectly! I recommend to try.

Really good flavors and service is good.

Appetizers -
Fried cauliflower: This was really tasty but less in quantity, we saw the picture in the menu and it's a little deceptive. No complaints on the taste though. Loved the sauce.
Batata Harra - Tangy flavors and good for a side.
Hummus with chicken: chicken seemed crispy and added to the flavor of the hummus and with their fresh breads this was a fantastic combination.

Main course-
Falafel bowl: huge portion. I personally loved the falafel. Served with 4 falafel, rice, hummus, salad this bowl is totally worth it and must try!
Chicken kabab: we got this with salad and you can choose rice or fries as well.
Chicken tagine: it's chicken curry with carrots, olives and served with rice. Less of the gravy and more chicken but good taste.

Dessert -
Rice Pudding: a mixed experience here. Served with orange and I suppose they do add the orange zest to it - this was something I did not quiet enjoy and may not be for my taste.

Note - They do not take reservations on weekends and given there is just patio seating there can be a bit of a wait time but we arrived around 1pm and got a decent spot.

Overall this is a must try and highly recommended.

Summary: Don't go here if you really want to enjoy the incredible journey that is middle eastern food. Put in the extra effort to go to some places such as: Bread and Salt.

1. Service- To be fair to the restaurant, it was a busy Sunday and it did look like they were doing renovations. But why keep the restaurant open if you cannot have proper service. I even heard employees saying that they were moved from there usual stations to provide service. Understaffing your restaurant is not a way to save money, but drown your business. That being said, service was sub-par, me and my significant other were given the bare minimum and that's it. After politely asking were the bathroom was, i was given attitude.

2. Food- The food is salty, very very salty.we ordered the falafel and dinner platter for 2. The falafel was fantastic, the same can't be said for the platter.dry, extremely over salted meat. Running tap water wasn't even available and we were charged 2$ for 1 bottle of water for 2 people and given cheap plastic cups. When you're paying 44$ for a meal it's kind of expected to have half decent water.

The building itself/Other- The building itself is beautifully done and at night it looks like a movie. The bathroom was very clean, but had water all over the floor. The staff was following covid protocols very well. I feel that this restaurant has lots of potential, but really needs to finish the building, get there staff numbers right, maybe it can be improved

Great food! The plate for two with each type of grilled meat is a great value. Hummus and accompanying bread is good. Manakeesh is large enough for a child. The iced teas are excellent choices for both adults and kids. Very safety conscious, they supplied a free bottle of water and plates came in a plastic wrap.

In person - this restaurant can’t do wrong (4*+). The food is tasty, service is slow at times but overall great selection. Now with having to switch to takeout, I can’t say the same. My family ordered the $85 family dinner with other items last night and the food arrived cold, missing items and the arayis were a little burnt. We’ve gone through the process with UberEats already to get refunded - but when we called the restaurant initially to ask about it, there isn’t even anyone available to pick up the phone. The flavours are quite alright still, but when you spend $100+, getting missing and cold items doesn’t warrant the same rating I’d give for eating in person.

Experience compared to other restaurants. Other restaurants will give you 20% off when you order through and order your food here they will charge you full price no discount

Excellent food and good service always. The recent changes to the menu post-Covid have been a bit disappointing for me because they removed all of my favourite appetizers but still recommend for tasty food and the colourful Iraqi vibe and ambiance.

Smallest portion possible of food, reminds me of the plane's meal portion size.
Fair quality but pricy given the amount of food they serve.
Even very limited sides they provide, not even comparable to their competitors.
Will never go there again

Disappointing, ordered some kabab to go. Was way to salty called and nicely enough they said return it when I got home and tasted again. They used the same kabab from before just as salty and burnt. I hope the owner sees this. Why waste my time and your time to come back just say sorry it's the batch of the day.

I ordered delivery there once, I got 3 charred almost whole veggies and a few chunks of charred chicken on a skewer, all tasting very bitter from the charring. Meanwhile the price was so high it was almost a joke. Sorry for the bad review but if you charge me premium you gotta deliver quality.

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food, with a cozy and fun atmosphere. I love that the minute you walk in, all you can smell is the fresh bread baking in the stone oven! The decor is also just amazing, very fun and unique. I would recommend getting the dip platter, so you can try the hummus, dummus, bummus and mutabbal. Also I highly recommend trying their house blend black tea, absolutely delicious!

We loved every bite of Hummus with chicken & Chicken Liver in Pomegranate Molasses n walnuts were divine. Juicy flavourful and melt in your mouth.
The UmAli was rich and sweet. But what was the star of the night was the Specialty Tea!
It was in a pot with a great quantity to share. Aromatic and very soothing. Went so well with the dessert and a must after a meal!

Hospitality is what middle eastern part of the world specialize in, and the owner of East Tea Can strives to emulate that very skill through him. Great to dine in for Lunch or Dinner, the decor will give you the true feel of a Middle Eastern cafe. I was fortunate enough to be at the location on a weekend night where you could enjoy a live performance. The menu caters to the cravings of the arab cuisine plus the hospitality that come with it. The owner is always there to ensure that you get the best experience possible.

Service here is excellent, and so is the food. Seriously delicious food, especially all the traditional vegetarian options. Love the pop art and decor, too.

Love the ambience and the food. Avoid long weekends or prime dinner time if you hate to wait. Sit closer to the mid section of the restaurant, if you need quick attention of the servers.

Attempted to order from this place using Foodora, the order just sat on being accepted but never actually been accepted. Not sure if this place doesn't know how to use the Foodora system, or if this is a joint scam between them and Foodora. Wasted over 50 minutes of my time. Not ordering from them again.

I cant rave enough about this place. The food was uniquely presented and took me back to my Abu Dhabi days! The ambience on a weekend night takes you back to a bustling Souq!

Horrible experience! First of all our waiter didn’t get us anything but the bill we had to ask the workers that pass by for services and when I told him to check up on us he gave me attitude! The other workers were so nice. We were like a table of 8 and they gave us a small ketchup even smaller then the serving cups at Macdonalds!

Food was really really good, but the service was abysmal. They weren't busy and didn't appear understaffed but it took over ten minutes before our server even greeted our table. People who were sat after us got servered and not us. Also very disorganized, food came in at different times. We had the freekah (5 stars), tikkah beef (3 stars - overcooked and dry), & chicken liver (5 stars, best one I've had anywhere). Bread that comes with the meal is 5+ stars. Very soft and really good. Despite the wait, would definitely visit again just cause the food was worth it.

Very friendly place which mixes the cultures and flavors. The food was really tasty and the bread is always freshly stone baked.

Such AMAZING food! Seriously the best middle eastern food; have been back 4 more times in the span of 2 months because it was so delicious. Also great plate presentations. Our first waiter Omar was so great! Will def be going back time and time again.

Their food and drinks have NO taste. You ask the waiter to get you something you NEVER get it. I would NEVER recommend to go there. The food is under cooked as well. The bread was cold. It’s over priced for such low quality. We have gone there before the food and service was better.

Very clean restaurant and it got it's own characters. Friendly service with delicious food. Love the stone oven baked bread. I had a great time with my coworkers there.

Excellent decor and food! I am only suggesting more menu options for mains but I would go here again for sure! Whatever I had was delicious and the place is so inviting for casual dining or for something serious like a meeting or birthday dinner.

We had breakfast today here; me and my friends.
We tried the dip platter, grilled halloumi cheese and cheese and zaatar mix manakesh. Of course, we ordered their famous tea and the fresh-from-the-oven bread kept coming.
The whole breakfast was amazing; my two favourite dips are the bairuti humus and the beet humus.
Portions are good for sharing.
Will definitely come back to try lunch
