My daughter started having toothache, i called them and they told me to bring her in right away. They were so helpful and nice to her that i wouldn’t recommend any other places
I called for an emergency visit for a broken tooth and got in the same day. The ladies up at the front were welcoming and helpful. The dentist was amazing, very understanding and patience with me, I am always nervous about going to see a dentist. I would definitely recommend this place as I am going to be making this my permanent dentist!
UPDATE 10/24/23: as of right now, it’s been almost a month since having my teeth removed, I can now see prices of tooth and can feel it as well stuck in my mouth… thanks Eastgate Dental, maybe have better trained dentists?
I was scheduled to get a tooth pulled plus two wisdoms, I was under the impression that I would be put out for the removal’s, I wasn’t told otherwise. They froze me and let me breathe on nitrogen to "calm my anxiety" even though my mom was told that I was put under when she came to pick me up, according to the receptionist. I was awake the whole time, and I could feel them cutting the wisdom tooth and trying to dig it out and I was sobbing and screaming, I told them I wasn't doing the third tooth because that was ridiculous and I couldn't calm down, so they only took 2 of the 3 out, the dentist tried to push for me to get the 3rd out, but as I was uncontrollably sobbing I told her there was no way I was doing the 3rd wisdom tooth. I feel like I have emotional trauma, the night of the day I got it done, I could still feel the pressure and it was like I was in the chair having her dig it out all over again. I’m never going back.
Horrible experience, if you are a student don't come here, they’ll take advantage. The front lady has always been rude and I was never really actually told what could be wrong with my teeth. Got a new dentist who actually cares about my smile
They are the worst dentist place over. I got no help every time when I go there.it’s like every time I go there they’re brand new it’s like their new workers.and they like to poke me and it really hurts. They need to get better.
I am writing this review as i tried to address my concern with the ofc manager (who took note but offered no sort of apology or accountability for what happened) and subsequently the regional manager (who didnt return my phone call on a day she was in the office but "in a meeting").
I came to this dental office several times to have work done, and was quite pleased with their work. Until the last time.
While having work done 2 weeks ago, the hygenist and dentist were spraying something inside my mouth, and tiny droplets sprayed back onto the skin on my face. I thought nothing of it at first, until 10 minutes later my cheek started to burn (I have rosacea). Through a mouth full of gauze, i politely asked for a wet tissue to wipe my face as it was burning. After a few minutes of arguing that there is nothing on my skin from the hygenist, she finally appeased me and gave me a wet piece of tissue to clean it. After the work was done, the dentist asked how it felt and i told him my tooth felt ok, but my face was still burning. He too then took some time to argue with me that "he didnt get anything on my face" in a stern, angry tone.
Thank you to the kind hygenist as i was upset and leaving, who took the time to give me a warm lavender wipe to soothe my face, and apologized for the whole ordeal.
I will not be going back to this dentist due to the lack of accountability, and regard for patient concerns from their office. I do not recommend coming here if you have a skin condition.
Worst experience ever in a dental clinic. I gave the insurance information to the receptionist to check if the services I took the appointment for are covered and she confirmed that they are covered and then they charged me $240 just for the doctor exam (dentist spent 3 minutes speaking with me). When I asked why she said we did not know you had this exam 2 years ago but I told them that before and I gave them my insurance plan information at the beginning to check that but instead of checking with the insurance company or at least ask me to check myself they chose to lie. Dr Neha Desai told me that I have a couple of cavities and if I want to fix them I told her clearly that I will fix one today and do the other another day as they are very small. I found out later that they charged my insurance company for 2 teeth (and of cours they chose 2 teeth next to each other). Terrible job done on teeth scaling as the person who did it was late and was rushing to start with their next victim. Complaint submitted to the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO).
Great team and very accommodating with my schedule. They came highly recommended by my family and friends and I’ve been nothing short of impressed so far.
New client and Very disappointed with the receptionists (Front desk clerks) I called because I needed a cleaning and a chipped tooth They said do you want to become full time with the doctor I said yes. I gave them all my information from past dentist and insurance. They gave a full examination which cost me 245.00 as my insurance said they would only cover in April 2023. If they really needed any history of my full examination they were suppose to contact my previous dentist. Karma to them. Also very unprofessional eating at desk and complaining about their pay! Well instead worry about great customer service I think they need a cleanup of staff or a wake up call
Good pandemic protocols but too many in waiting area, staff need to read emails and prevent the urge to shout private information across a crowded waiting area. The cleaning was a great experience and I was listened to in private.
Horrible service! Had to sit and wait for 15 mins while girl at desk seen me in so much pain but continues to go through this guys past visits when he never even asked …. Makes me wait only to tell me that the empty waiting room and the dentist and assistants that are in clear eye site not doing anything are way too booked to see me …. So I said ok can I make an appointment for tomorrow and try to get through it tonight she asked if I was already a patient when I said no she said ok you will need to pay cash up front, when I showed her my ow card all of a sudden they wouldn’t have time for over a week! Whole reason I came to this place was because there whole site says they accept emergency walk ins and new patients! Honestly I have never been in so much pain I was in tears and the B!? @# couldn’t even see if they could see me for anything to help me! At all!
So don’t be fooled by there ads and site because if you have an emergency they don’t help you at all!
I had a filling done 3 months ago, Dr. Mohammed had to patch my old filling that was falling out the tooth after my K9 tooth, it fell out recently and when I went back to get the filling removed and put in another one, she said "I'm not touching that, but you have no pain on it. " And she said to either do a root canal or pull the teeth out because I don't have any pain. They do not want to refund my $400 dollar payment that I made 3 months ago for the same issue.
Had an really bad infected tooth. My previous appointment with another doctor was still 2 weeks away: (Eastgate Dental took my call this morning and gave what they had available. Ten minutes later they call me with a cancelation in one hour. Next thing the wonderful team had me in the chair and did what NO one else would do in such short notice. Extraction of the tooth needed to happen right away to prevent further infection. Amazing team and amazing work from the doctor.
When asked about what type of partial dentures said Dr. Will explain never answered my? Just continued to make a mold of my teeth didnt realize that it would be be a mouth full of metal plate extremely uncomfortable and holes drilled into teeth beside to hold the plat in difficult too remove ended up chipping the tooth beside it which i will have too have repaired the jel bond is enough to hold the plate in place without having to have drill hole in teeth now its going to cost me this was the last day for this dentist he retired that day
They took me as a new patient and I was able to get an appointment very quickly! All the staff there are so nice and very helpful, I’m glad to have found them and make them my new dentist office!
I have been a patient here for over 12 years and cannot say enough. I had menu dentists and hygienists prior to this and none of them were as good or as thorough.
I hadn’t been to the dentist in over ten years and was a little nervous about going…. The staff made me feel like I’d been a regular customer for years, I’ve never felt more comfortable getting dental work done! Would definitely recommend them to anyone
Thank you to the staff for your patience and kindness to my grandfather. Staff here have made a stressful situation much easier to handle. They explain things well and we are happy with the care we are receiving.
A few months ago, I saw Dr. Kapoor for a long overdue dental visit. I had X-rays done and was told I had about 9-10 cavities to fill (all of which were “urgent, ” so I was told) which struck me as very odd as I was having no tooth pain whatsoever. I’m a very anxious patient when it comes to dental work. So, we embarked on the journey to fill 4 cavities and to start, I can say is the dentist has a very heavy hand with the numbing injections. My inner cheek was sore for a several days post visit. During the procedure itself, I informed the dentist that I could feel the procedure a bit and it was uncomfortable. Post-cavity filling, I actually began to have pain in 2 of my molars when chewing, which I never had previously. The dentist also told me she suggests I remove my Wisdom Teeth. I received a Dental Treatment Plan estimated invoice and it was over $1,500 (excluding the wisdom teeth removal which was “highly recommended” and which I rejected).
After this experience, I was very nervous to come back to fill the remaining (supposed) cavities. Something was telling me to get a second opinion, so I did just that. I had my dental X-rays reviewed by 2 other dentists. Both told me that the remaining cavities were in fact not cavities, and that I should not touch my wisdom teeth as they’ve grown in nicely and my mouth has plenty of space for the teeth. This was a shock, but relief, to hear.
Overall, if something feels “off” to you about this dental centre, I’d highly recommend seeking a 2nd opinion. I saved myself lots of money & also the anxiety over sitting in a dental chair and filling non-existent cavities. Money grab opportunity, it seems.
This is just my experience with this dental centre, and anyone else’s could vary, of course. I just wanted to share my experience as it was not a very pleasant one, overall.
Eastgate Dental prices have gone up, and service and personable has gone completely down, I’ll be looking for a new dentist immediately, This dentist office is owned by a corporation now, and you sure Can tell, Never again

My experience with the dental hygienist and dentist that seen me at my last appointment was impressive. Bedside manors, outstanding, compassionate, supportive and reassuring. I went in to my appointment scared and embarrassed, but left feeling reassured and comfortable.
I had such a pleasant experience at my appointment today. I've never felt more welcomed and comfortable at a dental office before. Dr Chan Lum makes you feel like you are a friend. I believe all Dr's should make a person feel welcomed so they will want to come back. Kudos to Maria for such a professional and thorough cleaning. Both were very encouraging as well as staff. Dr gelman and his staff were AMAZING in getting me (a new patient) in and seen to as fast as possible regarding a bad infection. I couldn’t have been happier with their demeanour and action. I feel secure and very lucky to now have him as my dentist and the eastgate dental team to turn to. Thank you
Took my wife to the office today. The staff were friendly the office was clean. And the dentist was professional and kind. They help my wife out in her time and need and it is appreciated
I have been going here for many years (20+). My dentist and hygienist are great. In fact, they are the only reasons I'm still there. Management/ ownership changed hands a few years ago and I hate them. I cannot stand the front end of the office. Over billing, changing appointments without asking, etc.and getting worse as time goes on. I will probably be looking for a new place soon. I gave them two stars, one for the dentist and one for the hygienist. I could not honestly recommend them anymore.
Another fabulous visit at Eastgate Dental! Professional while maintaining a very comfortable atmosphere. Extremely proactive with Covid regulations above and beyond! The staff are amazing and great at what what they do! I highly recommend them!

This dental office is one of the best as far as I'm concerned. They do great work, and always want the patient to be comfortable. The fact that they are open evenings and weekends; is a huge plus. That way I don't have to lose time at work, and it works more around my available schedule. A fantastic deal office
