Horrendous service! Avoid at all cost! My previous internet provider was bought out by East Link, in three years with my previous provider I have not had to spend any time on the phone for any reason. In the two months I have been with Eastlink I have spent almost 8 hours on the phone fixing billing or no service problems.tech-support is not very knowledgeable and billing has no idea what they’re doing, got double billed and told my time is not worth anything when being asked to be compensated!

The absolute worst customer service! On hold for over a hour and then was passed on to customer loyalty to only be told to wait for another hour. Hey Eastlink you are not the only provider in my area, and when I do get to talk to someone I will be cancelling!

I always thought the low ratings was an exaggeration, but after being an east link customer now realize they were spit on. Since the first day we had their so called service we've had issues. On a daily basis we drop tv/internet 10 times. Usually by 8 it's out for the night
I read East Links response to the low reviews and they respond with is a. " thank you for review. "
How you tell customers you're going to do something about it and actually do it. It's obvious why you have lost so many customers. Few more years and you won't exist. Stop being so cheap and fix your technical issues. We are done with East link

Have been trying to call them to cancel my service for three days. Have spent over 5hrs total on hold, Have requested three callbacks, and tried the chat option. Internet was constantly cutting out my time with them.
Not worth the price.

An Eastlink salesman came to my door last week. I hate this type of sales tactic as you have no time to consider your options. They pressure you to sign up at the door to take advantage of discount prices. They also don't seem to know their product, as some of the information I was provided was wrong, which I only found out after by calling Eastlink when he left. I will stick with Sunwire as their customer service is superior and the pricing is straight forward and honest.

Sent an email requesting a quote for services through Chamber of Commerce. I guess they don't do discounts or honor what they advertise because I never heard back from anyone! Poor customer service.

Went to the New Sudbury retail location to return my sister's digital box and cancel her service when she passed away last March. The supervisor was very helpful and understanding. They don't accept equipment returns but gpacked up the box for us and even printed the shipping label to return the box. He canceled the service and said the refund for over payment of ~$500 would be sent withing 2 weeks. Never saw a refund to her estate. Instead they sent a bill for the missing box. After several calls and sent a bill for an unreturned cable box. 10 months and several calls later still not resolved. They said boxes go missing all the time and the refund would be sent. It never was.

Very disappointed with the terrible service for mobile that I received last week, I was pleased with these folks for years and always received t notch service until last week when I removed one phone from my shared plan and discovered that they removed the data from the remaining phone without advising me, keep in mind that I paid for data and was playing on keeping the remaining phone with eastlink, no email no call to advise me of the changes but happy to accept my payment
When I called to find out why my phone had no internet service I was told they removed it because it was not the primary phone on the plan, didn’t mattthat I paid the plan and like I mention no one advised me of the change. The lady that served me was the most impatient and rude customer service person I have ever spoken with (opposite to every other rep I have talk to) she advised me that my tv and internet service will now increase in price as well because I removed that phone more or less
I know they probably could care less but I will cancel my cell service tomorrow November 14 2022 as the phone is useless now anyway, my tv and internet will also be going in January when my current deal is done

Had them for less them a month router just stops connecting. Trying to reach "tech support" takes a quarter of a lifetime. And all you get told is unplug and plug it back in. Or the next available tech can come by in the next 5 to 27 business days

Absolutely the worst service ever. Three months ago we told them we no longer wanted to subscribe to the WWE network, and we moved residences, so they discontinued it at our old address and I checked our account online because they decided to not send a paper bill in the mail, were still paying for it, that's 45 dollars, for a service we never watch. This will be the 3rd time we have requested to unsubscribe to it. Aside from that, more often than not lately there is a problem with pixellation, for over $140.00 a month, I want to watch the channels I enjoy, not just the ones that will come in unpixellated. This was Global news September 11th. What horrible service.

Excellent customer service and I was able to get helped very quickly. The manager was super helpful and went above and beyond to ensure I left the store happy. I was very pleased today with my visit to Eastlink in the New Sudbury mall.

Called several times to order TV, internet and phone for my new apartment. Was sent to voicemail to leave my name and message. Eastlink's mailbox was full. I looked at the Eastlink reviews and it looks like this is a frequent problem with them. This certainly helps with my decision of whether to choose Eastlink or Bell. First impressions matter! I rated 1 star because 0 stars was not an option.

I have only been a customer for 3 weeks - internet was installed but they left a line from my backyard two lots over on the ground. I was told the bury team/contractor would be in touch, 2 weeks later no follow up I called eastlink and was given a run around spoke to Scott a supervisor/manager and he told me all he could do was send an email to the team and they would call me. Another week goes by no information- now my neighbours are upset as well as the line on the ground is a safety hazard. Anyone could trip and fall. And this line stretches over my lots and two lots over. Today I called again and was told the contractor has 28 days to complete the work and I don’t have to be home. They still have no answers for me on how the lots will all be dug up how will they replace the grass. This doesn’t just affect my home it affects two other properties that did not yet consent to digging. If they replace with new grass it’s not a problem but at least tell me the process. I have asked 4 different people from eastlink and they never have any answers. If the bury team only puts back seed they will have ruined 3 lots where we do not consent to digging with replacement of seed. I’m just asking for answers and follow up so I can decide if I have to cancel the service due to the process. The customer service has been horrible. Today I’ve been on hold to speak to a manager for currently 32 min. See the photos of how they left the line for the last 3 weeks.

Been their customer for almost 3 years. Mostly trouble free but I just switched to Bell because for the past couple week and half, internet has been garbage with no prospect of a fix.

I called concerning a increase in my cable bill. I had small outstanding balance owing, which had made me aware of the price increase. I paid the amount and called Eastlink. As the balance ($60ish) had not cleared as of yet, I was informed that I could not talk to someone sales. I politely stated that, their process was flawed and would like to talk to someone else. They hung up and I was unable to call them back. I understand that customer service people are doing a tough job and treat them with respect especially during a complaint So I must say that the great customer service that Eastlink was known for, is no more. I am dropping off my recivers today and looking for a new internet provider. I am sick of companies thinking they are doing me a favour by allowing me to pay for their services.

Refused Internet (modem) pick up for a developmentally delayed and indigenous client of ours because she did not have TWO pieces of photo ID. She had an Ontario Health Card with her photo. Had to call Eastlink service and put the contract in my wife's name as ONE photo of the lady who was with us was not adequate! Stood in line again for 45 minutes to get service. Will never ever deal with Eastlink again. Their workers and phone reps.were polite and apologetic.

Eastlink used to be the go to company for TV and internet. It is now so bad, god forbid you work from home and need internet. Mine was down all day so I called waited 35 minutes to speak with them for them to tell me a tech would be out to access what was going on 3 days later! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Their "new" fibre is the worst of the worst!

Signed our contract, waited almost 2 weeks to have someone come out and connect service. When the technician came out I was told there was nothing we could do for you and that there wasn't service lines or cables to our place. (Mind you were in the middle of the city, right off Lasalle Blvd) the ones that were here have been cut. Spent most of today talking with the company and customer support, and even our landlord in our complex to see if there's anything that can be done. If anything, East Link really need to update where they have or don't have services, especially considering you sign a contract before they even come out to connect you. I'm not being forced to stay in the contract and they are doing what they can to fix the problem. However we are almost pushing into the 3rd week with no resolution to this problem. If they are able to fix this issue I'll change my rating. At this time I would not recommend services by them until the service itself is proven to work.

Internet is spotty at best, even after having all lines changed both inside and outside of the house, and new modem. Twice. Their solution? Get an internet booster. Hot garbage.

June 26 I started having issues with internet and cable TV. Phoned eastlink June 29. Appointment scheduled for July 21. Tech came and inspected inside all ok. He went to equipment on pole and said that was the issue. Called several times. Still waiting for issue to be fixed almost 2 months later.

Walked in unannounced to ask about new remotes. Olivier gave replacement no issue. Not what I was expecting.

Fixed a channel issue on the spot as well.

Terrible internet service. The internet keeps loosing connection even when plugged in with an Ethernet cable. Customer service can’t do anything or send anyone for another week and a half and of course this is problematic as I am working from home.

Sad, sad excuse for an ISP. The connection has been dropping for 10 minute intervals consistently the last month. Basically unusable and heavily overpriced. Waiting for the day Eastlink either upgrades or goes out of business. Nice people though. 1/10

They have the worst wifi ever your device can be right beside the router and the wifi still wont work they have brutal service they’ve been called here multiple times to fix it and nothing has been done we would get bell but they never ran wires through the new neighborhood so we are stuck with brutal service with eastlink.

My 93 year old mother spent the last 6 months in the hospital. She finally was allowed to leave the hospital to move to a nursing home, under quarantine. I am trying to get her tv hooked up so at least she can watch tv for what is probably her last Christmas but these heartless $%#&! Have done everything they can to delay the process. They are masters at doing the whole smiling voices and the hand wringing empathic listening new age BS, while they do nothing to assist. I think that decent people should do everything they can to avoid giving business to this organization.

Great to install and upgrade you but dont expect prompt service when their equipment fails. Have to wait 5 days for a technician very disappointed considering we work from home.

Eastlink has the worst customer service, would not go with them. When we called and asked if our contract was over, they said yes, we asked for our total bill, paid them in full, then we get a bill saying that our 2 year was not over. Go with anyone but Eastlink!: - (

I have never seen such horrible service! I cannot explain how the system needs to find a better way to help their customers. I was to be a client on aug. 31, installation between 12-2. No one shows or calls to let me know.horrible but mistakes happen. After i called, they confirmed install on sept. 4. The same thing happened. Tired of taking 1/2 day off so i canceled everything. Horrible way to treat clients

I was surprised today to have an EastLink employee knock on my door in New Sudbury today. I'll admit I am working from home and the visit for the Cableguy was a welcomed distractions.

The technician told me they were doing preventative maintenance in my area and narrowed an issue to my house. I was a little surprised by this I haven't noticed anything wrong. He explained Eastlink has software that will flag problem areas on a map when the software detects modems aren't behaving within tight parameter. And the technicians go out and try to pinpoint the issue. The idea is to fix small issues before they get big enough to be noticeable to the customer. What an amazing concept "fix it before it break! " I love it! It's got me thinking how I can do this with my staff.

The tech maintained 10 feet social distance at my door. He explained that it was likely just a lose connection in the home, likely behind my modem or the cable box since those connectors only get finger tightened while all other connectors would have been wrench tightened.

I checked my equipment and sure enough the coax cable into my modem was almost falling off (must have worked it way loose dusting) (I have a feeling he'd seen this before)

He tested the line from outside with black box with a screen.and told me it was all good now

I have been an EastLink customer since before they were EastLink. They have always treated me well.

But today was an eye opener that they are for real. To think are proactive in making sure I can work from home during this Pandemic.

I hadn't noticed a problem before the visit today, but I think it's a little faster than it was before.

Looks good on you EastLink. I'll be an EastLink customer for life!

Owed one month back due, cut us off. Instantly paid $60, and $110 CC then informed the bank payment didn’t post right away. They refused to reconnect service even with confirmation. This place is a joke and the customer representatives are all extremely rude. I will be moving companies.

I went in recently to Eastlink to pick up my modem for internet but didn't have the best service. Yes it was busy in there but no reason to rush to get to the next customer. I came home and there was no coax cable in my internet kit. I had to go back to the store the following day which was an inconvenience but Megan made it a nice experience and went above and beyond to help me. Thank you

Pre ordered the note 10.1500$ phone. Showed up to pick up new phone and set up new cell service. Was told last employee made a mistake and i had to restart the whole process. When just an adjustment was needed. Salemans trying to steal each others commission. The guy at the store was angry he was doing the work and not getting the sale that he gave me a hard time. Buyer beware. Your not saving here. The 5$ a month youd be saving your pay for it in headaches.

I cancelled my cable tv today because it's too expensive and I'm forced to take channels that I never watch. We should be able to choose the channels that we will watch and at a cheaper price.

They were digging next door to my house on a Thursday, internet cut off but only to my house. Eastlink flags where digging was done. I go out of town, come home 5 days later, still no internet. The soonest they say I can get service is the following Sunday! 11 days! It's too bad they have a chokehold of the neighborhood or I would be gone. Now using all my cell data and no tv, or internet to do anything. Wish I could leave less then 1 star.

Love it when Eastlink disables WiFi on my line even though i'm with Sunwire. Had to get them to send to a ticket and wait for Eastlink employees to restore my line. Not cool.

This is THE WORST WIFI OF ALL TIME. The wifi worked for around 5 months then all went to SHIT. IT CUTS OUT LIKE EVERY 30 MINUTES. IT ALSO CUTS OUT AT THE WORST TIMES EVER. AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have just showed that they are mediocre. 1 star. GARBAGE.

Nothing works. Calling support is worse! My Own Wi Fi extenders (2) both stopped working at same time? Eastlink said it must be my equipment not working. Send someone a couple of days later and set up “Eero”. Technician left and none of my TV’s were working. 4 days later sent someone else. 3 days later wireless TV’s stopped working. Called and unable to help me. Again another technician (clown) coming out in a couple of days. It appears that equipment doesn’t work and/or technicians incompetent.
