Food was absolutely amazing! Food service isn't great if you sit at the bar, but did itself is incredible.

Such a fun inviting atmosphere, staff was super friendly and food was AMAZING! Fish and chips personal fav. Owner was so personable and made the night seamless. Thanks for a great night out.

Very friendly environment with delicious food. We recently went for a brunch there and we recommend. Rose was a kind server that day, even though we had a large stroller in the middle of her way.) If you go at night, the broccoli is a must.

Ordered a Donair sandwich that was horrible. Way too sweet. It felt like they had put custard all over the pita. The menu said the beef was spicy, it was not. It was mostly flavorless.

Half-off oysters on Wednesday were drool-worthy and tasted fantastic. The Tuna Poke was also yummy, washed down with a pint of local beer. Service was a tad slow but overall enjoyable.

We had an amazing meal tonight! Big menu so lots to try but I imagine some dishes might be better than others. We got:

Burrata (can't go wrong)
Duck confit (incredible, and really generous portion)
Steak frites (delicious!)

Overall great service, nice atmosphere, and excellent food! Will be coming back!

I found myself in the eastend last week and found this. As an aspiring chef working at Cluneys Bistro, Via Allegro, Le select Bistro & Sash I found myself wondering how the chef makes similar dishes for a fraction of the price. I asked my cool waiter if they were looking for cooks. I got an interview and a chance to learn some new techniques.

AMAZING food and people

Great place to watch the game and eat delicious food. Loved that you could also see into the kitchen.

Tempura duck confit was tasty and crispy.
Dessert would have me returning. It is big enough for 2, but I crushed it on my own. No complaints.

Had the Fish Tacos and that was my first time having it. I think it was excellent. The atmosphere in the place was also quite inviting.

We would probably need to come back and try dinner menu.
Brunch was ok. Burger buns were cold.
The kiddo didn't like the kid's menu at all.
We didn't like that it was super noisy (all tables were occupied), can't hear each other.

Found this little gem when we had very disappointing experiences at other place, the food is decent and served fast! The atmosphere is nice and cozy! We had great time here! Only wish the home fries was less oily! But overall great experience

We had a fantastic experience at the Eastside Social. Our party of 4 didn’t have a reservation on a Friday night and the busy Eastside social was so accommodating and lovely.

We had drinks by the bar while we waited for a table to become available and boy, let me tell you- they were so good!

Dinner was fantastic, definitely order the eggplant crisps! The olives were nostalgic, tasted just like my uncles olives from Italy. Our mains (pictured) were very satisfying, big portions, and had so much flavour.

Service was exceptional and so friendly - going above and beyond! Not to mention when we left, they still remembered our name.

We would definitely recommend the Eastside Social and can’t wait to come back!

When I come in from London, this is the only place I eat every time. Understated and out of town, it has the best food and friendliest staff you’ll find anywhere in Toronto. Discovered it by accident, wish I could eat there every day!

Great lunch! Two people had the clam chowder and the third had fish and chips. All the food was excellent.

Loved our first experience visiting. Our food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal. We all loved to broccoli and calamari to start. The service was exceptional. We loved our server and topped off our goodbye with a hug. Looking forward to visiting again!

First time there. Service was friendly, efficient and helpful. The food was delicious. We had the clam chowder, fish and chips and salmon Tartare. Terrific lunch!

Great place if you’re looking for amazing service, cozy vibes (+ outside heated patio), and great food. I’ve probably been here 8-10 times and every time the service is great!

Everyone from the owner (Joe?) to the servers is so welcoming and warm. I grabbed dinner here solo last night and they all checked in on me multiple times.

I also love that they’re open for lunch, as not many spots in Leslieville are!

We had the pleasure of attending a wedding rehearsal dinner! Every single detail was executed perfectly. The service was amazing, the whole team was on point! The food, some of the best I’ve had! The calamari, steak, broccoli dish, hummus, risotto, literally everything was made to perfection! I cannot wait to return!

Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing vibe. The steak was beautifully cooked and seasoned and we loved our oysters and nicoise salad. Highly recommended.

AMAZING! The food, the atmosphere and the staff! Oysters, Clam Chowder, Fries with Garlic Aoili, Lobster Rice Balls, all to die for. Martin, has the voice of an angel. You are encouraged to sing along! My new favorite spot!

Every dish was delicious, really nice atmosphere on the back patio, and we had the greatest and most charming server (I think his name was Marty). Best gnocchi I’ve ever had. The duck leg was perfectly prepared, with crispy skin and a great sauce. We only wish we could have stayed for dessert! Highly recommended.

We had the greatest night here! They were about to close the kitchen as we arrived and kept it open for us which is very much appreciated as I know working in the service industry how annoying that is! As well as the servers went above and beyond and shucked us oysters herself because she shucker went home already. The food was amazing! You definitely get what you pay for here and I will be recommending it to everyone I know!

Arrived promptly at our reservation time. We had reserved a back patio table. Was told by manager that the people at our table arrived late so it wouldn’t be ready. So we were forced to sit inside. Any one with any common sense would have said to the late party either sit inside or you need tobe out by a certain time. Instead we were the ones who lost out. Food was generally good altho one Niçoise salad was mostly potatoes. Stupid rules about side salads and soft drinks. Too many other restaurants out there who know how to treat customers better. Won’t be back.

Marty is an absolute gem to your establishment, in all of my years of eating out, hands down the best server I have ever had. He was able to recommend the most amazing drink, The Salty Dog (apparently named after him), very attentive to small details like how the dish was placed, recommending food but most importantly the show we got with him! Came out with wigs and a little show, most amazing personality but was hustling and making everyone in the dining rooms experience just amazing. Everyone in the restaurant was smiling, made my night. The food was also beyond amazing, best experience dining out, highly recommend this place!

The scallops with lemon and pea risotto and grilled octopus were really tasty. Clam chowder was a big portion and they serve only one dessert, which was apple and lemon upside down cake. Service was good and food came out pretty quickly.

We had a great time in this spot. We enjoyed the awesome environment and the menu. The staff members are very amiable. I’m glad we eventually managed to try this restaurant.

The food is constantly well prepared and delightful, staff members hands over excellent service. I loved the cleanliness and character. I highly recommend this place.

It was a beautiful, warm evening, so the back patio here was the place to be. It is so cozy! Service is informal and professional, and a couple of the servers are one-of-a-kind characters:) The food is outstanding. The four of us agreed that every dish we ate was a winner. And their bread.

What great food and an inviting atmosphere. I went nuts in the seafood with octopus, oysters and mussels. All delicious and highly worth it.

Service was pretty decent - started out great but declined as the restaurant became busier.

Food portions were small, given the pricing. The Smash Burger looked like something from a kids menu. On the plus side, the appetizer portions were as large, if not larger than the entree portions.

It was not immediately obvious to me that the Kung Pao appetizer would have the exact same sauce as the Korean Chicken entree so it would have been appreciated if the server had noted that when I was ordering.

Crab cakes are a definite must try as is the fresh baked bread (but only if you like molasses bread!).

What a lovely spot. Great back patio. Absolutely delicious. The calamari was the freshest I’ve had in a long while. The mussels were delectable. The oxtail gnocchi were better than nonna’s (don’t tell her). Our host, instant bromance. He knew all the words to all the eighties and nineties on the soundbox. My new favourite!

Dinner with friends was amazing. I enjoyed my double smash burger and my friends grilled octopus was divine. Joey and Cherie are amazing hosts.

Went on a Tuesday didn't bother with a reservation and regretted it as they got slammed. They found room at the bar for us then forgot we were there for about 20 minutes. Once they realized we'd slipped through the cracks service was fine. Octopus was delicious so were the scallops. Then grabbed a dozen oysters. Hint make a reservation.

Went there for a 70th private party. Absolutely love the place and the staff were all friendly. Joey the owner was so approachable. Oh and the food was amazing. You got to try this place.

This place is amazing! Went on a date w my gf and we were shown such hospitality. The GM welcomed us and sat us. He ended up coming over to chat after our food (which was amazing - I highly recommend the octopus) and introduced us to his wife. The wait staff were super friendly and hilarious and made the experience extra special. The cocktails are delicious too. Try the bourbon sour!

High quality seafood with a friendly family-type atmosphere. Terrific variety of dishes from whole fish to tuna poke to lobster gnudi. Scallops were excellent. But given the smallish dining room, it was hard not to feel slightly rushed to open the table for the next party. Then again, I’m someone who likes to take my time at diner.

Food was fantastic. Great waitstaff. We had the octopus brussel sprout salad korean fried chicken. Everything tasted just right. Low light ambience

Stopped in for a quick drink and snack with an acquaintance. Had their Malbec shared the Sea Salt & Herb Fries, both were delicious. Staff was very friendly and efficient. Cozy, great place to spend a little time or a long time. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again.

This place is Awesome. The energy you can get from the people who work here is priceless! Look at this picture, we're the last table and this amazing experienced person is still giving good vibes.

Buck a shuck on Tuesdays, amazing charm and hospitality and decent beer options (but from what I can tell, they have a wonderful wine selection). They live up to their name, it is the perfect place to have a social on the East side. Friends, family, work associates.they will all feel you picked the perfect spot to get together if you meet here. They just have built an extraordinarily charming restaurant with what seems like exquisite attention to creating a warm, welcoming environment with class and great taste. Bring your pocketbook and don't even look at the bill when it arrives. Just quietly slip the waiter your Platinum card (or pull out a couple hundred dollars in cash because you like the way it looks when you leave a big tip on the table). They're happy to have you, and they'll make you feel like royalty, so relax and enjoy ;).

Our favorite restaurant. Everything I’ve eaten here is amazing - from freshly shucked oysters with the perfect mignonette sauce to grilled octopus, it’s all delicious and fresh. The ambience and decor is also perfect - feels like a classy old school fish fry. Can’t wait to go back!

Probably my least favorite was the fish tacos but the calamary and the octopus were incredible.

The octopus salad and scallops were really tasty. It had a nice atmosphere in there and everything is reasonably priced. However they forgot to bring us our oysters and the clam chowder was a bit bland. Overall good service and food.
