Great staff has been my go to store for games and accessories for years now. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Love seeing the new items they bring in.

Not the store as much as the company, finally have PlayStation 5 in but they force you to spend an extra $70 and buy a game before they sell it to you, they tell you it's Sony but it's just an extra stab from a greedy company to gouge more money off you you, it's seriously the end of my patience with them from this to selling used games for the same price as a new game while giving you less than $5 on the trade in, these people have taken their greed to an excess, should be illegal practices but it not 'because you can go elsewhere ' they know they competition is woefully lacking variety and they get away from this. Very unethical company to do this stuff while smiling at you

Myself and my husband visited this location after calling ahead to inquire about a certain game. The game was held at the counter for us until we arrived to pick it up AT AN EXCELLENT PRICE! The staff were awesome. Sean helped us and he was more than friendly, helpful and respectful. He pointed out a GREAT gift idea for my kids and I bought 2. Alyssa was another staff member who was present, helpful, and super sweet. Great conversation and a wonderful experience overall. Probably the best experience we've had at any gamestop location. Thanks again Sean and Alyssa! You guys are great!

This is mine and brothers regular store.love this place and the people. The manager Shannon Stout is just awesome and blast to chat with. We have found them to be very helpful when trying to figure certain things our or getting items shipped from another store. Also, they are just awesome people who work really hard and are good at their job. And trust me i get annoyed real quick with, ummm "dumb" people.thankfully i dont have this issue here. I would highly recommend this store to anyone. 100/10. Love you guys.

This place is great, its the only place i get my video game stuff. The staff are awesome, the merch is always there and the store is great. So much to check out and variety is awesome. The staff are very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Its the only place i will go too because of these reasons. Id love to thank everyone who has worked there and made my experiances great and safe. So thank you eb games harmony road, your the best. Cheers and happy gaming!

Staff at this location are all so friendly, before the stay at home order my fiancée & I would go in with our puppy every week. They were always very welcoming, willing to chat about nerd culture & very helpful if looking for items or info. If you’re looking for something they have, don’t hestitate to go! They are great and even during this lockdown they have handled the curb side pickup transition very well overall

Said they had a ps5 couldn't put it on hold apparently they're not allowed even though I called ahead was there within 10 minutes of calling and they sold it like come on that's horrible

I had bought a recycled 3rd party xbox controller back in October, and it started acting up so I used my warranty and got a new controller, in out no issues with customer service and they were fast and to the point, very kind and respectful, never gonna buy anything for my consoles, apart from this place, they are all wonderful people!

Good Morning EB Games:

I'd like to share the disappointing experience I had yesterday with "Brandon", of your Taunton & Harmony Store in Oshawa.   Dealing with him has ensured that I will not be shopping at EB Games in future.

Because the item I wanted for my children was not available for online shopping and delivery, I had to choose store pickup. I paid with a combination of my credit card and an EB Games gift card.

Before the email arrived to advise me that my items were available for pickup at the store, Brandon called me to schedule a pickup time.   He advised me to have photo ID, but failed to mention the EB Games corporate policy that the goods purchased will ONLY be released to the individual under whose name the transaction was conducted.   THAT information was contained in the email, which I left unopened because I'd already received Brandon's call.

As of December 26th, Ontario is in a COVID LOCKDOWN.   My husband is the ONLY person who leaves our home.   It's a 20km drive, since we live in rural Bowmanville, and the Taunton/Harmony store is the closest to us.

I made sure he knew that he was to have photo ID with him, and if necessary, I could be reached by phone if required by the store.

When my husband attended at the store, Brandon steadfastly refused to relinquish the merchandise we had bought and paid for with our JOINT credit card account.   When my husband advised me of the situation, I called the store to speak to Brandon, offering to send him a copy of my driver's license, as well as the order confirmation, and anything else he required, to no avail.   When I reminded him that he and I had spoken on the phone a few hours earlier, he stated that I could be ANYONE calling him.   He repeated that the policy is that of EB Games CORPORATE, and not HIS STORE'S policy.

I reminded Brandon of the lockdown situation.   We have my 91 year old father living with us in our home, and every precaution must be taken to ensure his safety.

I could not fathom a representative of EB Games, in particular one in a position of unbridled authority, lacking the maturity and situation-assessment skills necessary to make a judgement call, allowing my husband to pick up the item.

In fact, while speaking to my husband in person, and me via telephone, Brandon's demeanor was highly condescending and officious.

Literally the entire world has had to make adjustments to the realities of the current situation.    It's extremely disappointing that Brandon's inability to "look at the big picture" reflects so poorly on your company and its policies.

The staff at this place are absolutely legendary, been coming to this location 10 years plus, I was devistated when I didn't get my hands on a ps5! They told me not to loose hope, and 3 days later I got a call they got me a ps5 through a cancelation, it dosent stop their they swapped my PS4 copy for ps5 copy of the new cod, unreal! Alyssa Shannon and Kyle are the ones who made all this happen you guys are amazing thanks to you I will enjoy my Christmas!

This is the only way I know to review eb games in a fashion that they might actually notice. No response from social media or help@ebgames so this is what happens. This is not a review of this particular store or their employees. I had been trying to get ahold of this particular store everyday since ps5 release. Calling for hours out of my day to get on the list since online sold out. Finally I was in the area and just decided to go in yesterday just to be told they are no longer accepting list names, just to come back home to find out there has been no notice from EB online about this (Last thing they said was to keep checking online or call your local EB games). So EB wasted so much of my TIME, me trying to get ahold of their store as per their instructions. I also found out from someone that they got on a list that day at another EB games location. Are only certain stores stopping lists? Are all of them? Why are you not more communicative online? All I wanted to do was put my name on a list and forget about it, even if it takes a while, especially with all the stress trying to buy one online has been. I fully believe those employees were doing their job following what they were told, but where is the communication from their social media team and website. IN SUMMARY, go spend your effort waiting on restock with another company, this one has failed me since pre-order and wasted much of my time.

I waited to buy a Playstation 5 on there web before opened i got the item to buy then there site crash from buying bots i assume. Time i got back in and it did not crash was over 2hrs later. Thanks for not being prepared they need just say dont waste your time trying. Ill take my business to another game dealer thats got a more reliable server.

Well run place with friendly knowledgeable staff. If you're not wanting to buy and sell your video games online, this is a good alternative

Staff are the best I've had pleasure of knowing, store is very small so feels a bit cramped, but they do carry a lot and are very helpful in finding items they don't carry or are out of stock on.

This store has the worst possible store manager. Shannon tells buyers that the bonus item I paid for when ordering my game is not there, and that's perfectly ok. Its MY loss now. Meanwhile, probably the employee working behind the counter pilfered my bonus item! I THINK NOT. A call to head office, and my bonus item that was gone now magically reappeared. Be careful using this store.

Called them to place a hold on a new Tamagotchi On. Nice and friendly and quick on the phone. Came to the store shortly after and made my purchase. Got home to find that the box had already been opened (there was a larger seal sticker placed over a smaller one that had already been split), someone else’s data (Kevin.) was left on the device, AND the screen was slightly scratched and dirty. They sold me this as NEW. I knew EB Games/Gamestop staff sold games used as new that the staff played, but doing it with merchandise is disgusting. Not pleased.

Hunted all over for Steam gift card. Tried Shoppers Drug Mart.no luck. Tried Metro in Bowmanville.no luck! I originally saw cards at Metro in Oshawa so called there and fellow said they don't have them anymore and then suggested I try EB Games. Called EB Games and woohoo! Yes, they have Steam gift cards.

Always a joy visiting an EB. I love that they're all the same, and the people that work there usually really enjoy what they do. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and clean.

This is THE eb games to go to. Not only are the staff SUPER helpful when it comes to complicated requests, they will also go above and beyond to find you the product you need. I only go to this one now. Both the Alli's and Josh are so wonderful. I always smile and cheer internally when I walk in and see any of them as I know they will help and get the job done!

Knowledgeable and friendly staff, even called another store to help me out looking for something just based on a conversation I had with them. I didn't have to ask or even suggest, before I knew it one of the staff is picking up the phone and calling another store to inquire on my behalf. They were also nice to my seven-year-old daughter, engaging her in conversation and being pleasant as you would want somebody to be to your child.

Pretty standard as far as EB Games stores go. Video games and accessories, action figures and collectibles. What sets this particular store apart is the friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can't beat the customer service here. This is the only EB Games I shop at.

I misunderstood a worker and thought I had to go to the store to get my DLC code for super smash brothers and a worker took the time out of his day to get a switch from the back and physically show me on the switch how to actually do it! Definitely recommend their store. Thanks for the help

Staff are super friendly! I love going here because everybody working is always super knowledgeable, especially Matthew and Alyssa. I recently moved 3 1/2 hours away (aprox.) and I still go to this location because of the excellent customer service.

I’m a south Asian customer, and a bunch of white customer walked in with me. While they are greeted I get passed off. Rude and is still a form of racism. The colour of skin is different but my money is still the same. These sale people should greet everyone regardless of race.

I’m currently sitting outside the store after a terrible experience with their Sunday morning staff (Assistant Manager Included). My 4 year old son and I went into the store to get set up to stream his video gameplay (after going to Best Buy, we were sent over because EB Games ”would have the most knowledgeable and helpful staff when it comes to this stuff”. When the assistant manager was asked about the topic, we received a blunt and cold shoulder answer, “we only have Ps4 cameras for that”. We tried to get more information about streaming in general, “if you want more information on cameras, you’re going to have to go to Best Buy. ” The answer was so rude that the customer beside me looked at me and raised his eyebrows (we talked outside the store after the interaction, he felt he was treated with the same attitude). Now I’m not a stupid guy, I get it, why would a store push a product or products that they don’t sell? I get it from a business standpoint, however, I’ve been a customer at EB for a very long time. I have spent A LOT of money here, just needed some information to fix an issue that could have resulted in a little more revenue for the store in the future. Maybe the staff at EB are getting less knowledgeable? Hiring staff without the knowledge at all? Maybe a rough night? Lack of people skills? Whatever it is, it’s making me want to do my own research and purchase online (not from be) Over the years, I have received a lot of great help, from a lot of great staff. But lately at this particular store, service and attitude have been ridiculous. Ridiculous enough for me to sit outside the store for 25 minutes writing this review with a 4 year old in the car.
