Beware of the sales staff here! They try to upsell you on the warranty. The lady at the cash made no sense in selling us a warranty on a disk. She was lying about certain things to make some commission off us. We knew our stuff so we didn’t buy into it. But I can imagine a parent or a young children who can be manipulated into buying the “extra services” that are definitely not needed.

It’s sucks that we live in a society like that where people lie to make a extra buck.

Store sucks. Employees are arrogant. Half the stuff in there is a scam. Like 2 for 1 socks but then half the socks are not included in sale when you read the fine print. Will take money to Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon.

NEVER PREORDER THIS IN THIS STORE! ️

I am writing this email with so much disappointment of placing an order with lies of p deluxe edition with GameStop store pick order with bramalea city Centre branch.

I placed this order in the month of June and waited three months for this beautiful game and goodies as collector to be released on September 2023.

On the day of release they didn’t send me any prior email or call about the stock shortage so I was happy to pick my game so I called them in the morning and they said they are not giving deluxe edition and it’s first come first serve and then said they don’t have any units to give and they can only give me the DLC code plus the standard edition game.

I was so dissatisfied, disappointed and broken being a loyal customer with GameStop for such a long period of time and I have so many upcoming preorders like Spider-Man collectors editions, assassin creed mirage, avatar and lords of fallen.

After two days I went to GameStop store at the bramalea city Centre mall and asked for my copy and the guy in the counter wanted me to sell the deluxe edition of lies of P to me but a lady named miss marina stopped selling it to me because it was on hold by someone which is totally unfair.

If it was FCFS they should be very fair each and everyone customer and they cannot hold a unit and refuse to sell it for a customer who holds a receipt of order.

I called the store next day morning and asked them n they said it’s on hold and they cannot sell it which cannot be done.

As a loyal GameStop customer I take this really serious and I am looking forward to cancel all my preorders with GameStop and post this in social media among gaming groups in Ontario and Canada to avoid ordering preorders with GameStop to avoid such store discrimination and unfair ethics.

Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience.
I called the store prior to going to make sure the item I was wanting to purchase (xboxoneS) was in store for me to purchase and was told they had multiples in the store.
I rushed and went to this location and upon arrival, I was told they could not locate even one!
Waiste of my time and gas as well I got my child excited for nothing!
Very Disappointed in this service.

Been shopping there years for my collection. Staff in this particular branch are super cool. Really very comfortable experiences everytime I go. I choose my shopping places by customer service and these guys are always bang on! Keep it up! Thanx for being one of the very few stores with great customer service.

I would leave 0 stars if possible. This is a terrible company. I was looking for a Lego PS4 game for one of my sons. GameStop advertises previously used games "Playd" for a slight discount. The regular price of the game I was looking for is $50, and was advertised for $40 for a Playd copy. I also joined the EDGE membership to get a 10% off coupon on a Playd game.

I contacted the store first to see if it was in stock (shows in stock on the website). I called on a Sunday morning and no one answered. Tried several times - no luck. Ended up going to 3 different locations closest to me, and none of them had the game, despite the website information. None of the locations were willing to help to get a copy in store. I was told to contact Customer Service online.

Contacted Customer Service, who could only state that they could see the game at the locations where I had already checked. I asked for assistance to purchase the game online, with my discount, which they were unwilling to do. Very rude representative. I will never shop here again. I liked the store better when it was EB Games.

Were rude staff, who do not listen to you in any case always cranky and rigid beahviour even manager there when complained sugar coats everhthing, specially guy named will he is super rude and humiliates customers

Staff is always rude never wanting to answer or help any querries on floor, they want you to stand in cash line to even get any help

Not helpful, inconvenient, good inventory.

I went here to trade in a used Xbox One X for an upgrade. This location isn't exactly close to my side of Brampton, but I went here because it's a bigger store and they had the console I wanted in stock. They rejected my trade because my controller was dirty, and they wanted a brand new controller with my trade ($75 value at the time). They said my console was only worth $150 in store credit, making a single controller half the cost of the console. The GameStop at Trinity Commons is much more helpful.

Super friendly staff welcomed us from the get go, asked us what we were there for and let us know to ask them if we needed any help. One staff member interacted my child and made us feel welcomed. Had all the stuff you need for all your nerdy and gaming needs, however the headset we wanted was sold out even though they had the display box hanging up. Minor snap for an otherwise perfect visit.

I bought a new remote controller which turned out defective. Upon purchase I asked the cashier about the return policy. He said 30 days to return and exchange. My controller did not sync hence is defective. I went to the store. Teenagers at cashier refused to return or exchange although it was within 30 days. Instead gave me previously opened remote controller again which again is defective. Now I had to go back third time to exchange it.
If not anything atleast honour your saying and policy which you mention to your customers. I will be pursuing it to customer care head office

Only go there for the funko pops. Staff is nice and helpful. Very welcoming, store is organized and clean. Always makes for a good visit. Never know what you might find.

Terrible experience. Came in asking for an availability of a game, a sales rep asked me if I pre-ordered it. I said no, her exact words in very condescending voice were "Then no.some titles need to be pre-ordered" and walked away.

As a potential customer I don't need an apology for things not being available, but how about in a nicer tone (and not leadership voice) explaining scarcity and perhaps follow up with "we don't have it available now.do you want to order it for future date? "

Most helpful employees I have seen, they were very polite and would take the time helping others out. There were many different toys and games with diversity. It was well kept and clean. But it felt a bit cramped with where the carts of products were located, there was a lot of space within the gamestop where they could've kept their carts.

Perfect place to buy referb consoles and games workers here not only helped me get my new console but they explained to me what i could do if somthing was wrong with it.
So i went home and opened it and the disc drive wasn't working so i went back the next day and they helped me get another console to replace the defective one so i highly reccomend this place!

Absolutely the worst customer service. After calling multiple EB games for a console (with no issue) and being directed here (for my best chance at one) for some reason the lady who answered the phone " could not disclose the information due to security purposes " give me a break. Your JOB is to ASSIST CUSTOMERS and SELL merchandise YOU provide. I dont wish ill will on many people but that lady is on the top of my list at the moment.

I got a red xbox controller as a birthday gift recently. I opened the box to find a white xbox controller with no Microsoft logo it says pdp. So I went to eb games to discuss this matter with a " sales associate " who doesn't have common sense. I told her that this isn't a Microsoft product and it was bought here. She told me to contact Microsoft SO I DID!
Got a hold of an awesome rep at microsoft who did everything he can to me rectify the situation. At the end of it he told me to go back to eb games to have this looked after. Now for my second trip at eb games I asked for the manager and she right away knew what the issue was. I will never ever buy any games or consoles at eb games you are better off going to best buy so you can fall back on their return and warranty process. This location needs to train their staff better. Thanks for the headache and run around eb games!

Store is clean, games are cheap. Staff is overall nice and helpful. The maneger is kinda pushy about the extra game protection but you can just say "no I'm fine" twice and she will stop.

Your basic EB Games, they have consoles and games from the usual suspects. They have lots of game collectables, including, POP characters. The store was clean, uncluttered, and the staff were friendly.

Called ahead asking if they had a specific set of cards, their staff member did some digging and found it! Put it on hold for me for pick up and soon I had it in my hands:) There was a lot of fantastic products in the store to look at and the staff was very helpful (Carlson) and friendly and I will never hesitate to head into the store even when I'm not looking for anything in particular. There are definitely thousands of products available and almost anything you could ever want there! Rambling but theres so much positive to say, I love this store!

One of the best experiences I have ever had at an EB games. I almost didn't even enter with the experiences I have had in the past at other locations. The store manager Krystal was such a pleasure to talk to. She took her time with my ignorance of gaming and really helped me find a great gift for my son. I have never met someone in sales who was so personable and knowledgeable. Thanks Krystal! I'm sure my Son will love his new game as well as the games I preordered at your store for next year!

Also the organization of this location is stellar. A tremendous effort is clearly given by Krystal and her staff!

JUST BUY CONSOLES FROM WALMART OR ONLINE. ONLY BUY USED GAMES FROM HERE. Trust me it ain't worth it at ebgames.

Bought a "new" 2ds xl but it opened with someone else's profile, name, downloads. Ok so it's a refurbished or used system that didnt have any scratches.place it in new they wont notice. Immediately I noticed it did not put me through the start up sequence, not happy I paid for brand new. They had 2 different Mario racing versions on display and I asked what are the price differences, they said none. When I order the system the clerk kept it behind the desk until I paid. Went to the car, looked at it, bam it's a stock ds no Mario racing. I'd expect this from online ebay purchases not a franchise.now I see there is no difference, no real reason to go to ebgames. Now I got to return or exchange it. Am I buying games from there? Take a guess, good short term strategy though.

Edit: called in. Told them the problem and the model. Employee was kind, management was rude, I wish I recorded that conversation. Management told me it was returned, aka used.to my face. Then said it came from headquarters with a special sticker.ok so refurbished? That is not NEW. Yet it is NEW in their eyes. Ok so your telling me they didnt even bother format the system memory? After getting a self implicating explanation from management, them telling me I cant return it cause its opened.they finally said I can exchange it, BUT they need to open it infront of me (the new exchange). I really dont know if they get customers who profit from returns or something like that but maybe that's why I got the attitude.the person before me seemed to return it no problem. Huge emphasis on a sticker that came from the head office.but I have that sticker and it is in "new" condition. Easily can put everything back, I'll include a picture of this "special" sticker with the box to show that anyone can remove it no damage. The reason I'm making this review is that this would not happen anywhere else. As a customer buying a console from ebgames is not logical.it may be refurbished and branded as NEW. I asked for the 2ds xl, with only the Mario edition on display, pointed at it as well. But got a bait and switch essentially. With my words being 2ds xl, but I admittedly never said Mario edition (as they all seem to have Mario on the front and I didnt see a plain version, I also asked what's the difference the rep said no difference in price) I assumed too much from a corporation. I definately feel cheated, but let's be clear the product is in excellent condition, minus a Mario game. I should not have paid full price for it. It's the principle, you dont want to know someone used something you thought was brand new. Idk maybe I'm weird. If you've read this far.do you think I'm wrong? At Walmart they take the product out infront of you, ebgames they have a high desk to hide there shady dealings. I see why thy need to focus on those pop figures and not games as they hustle for every cent. 10 years they may be like blockbuster so they might be clinging to every penny. Well I wash my hands clean of this, I know management reads these things, but does the owner? Cheers

This eb games has changed a lot over the years and with the declining sales of physical games it's easy to see why. If you want to look at cool knick knacks and maybe pick up something small this place is great. Their rewards program is very outdated and really not worth investing in. However, the staff here is great and always a pleasure to talk to about anything videogame related.

This location is a roll of a die really. Sometimes you'll get a staff member that is nice and willing to help you. Most days, its rude or lazy. During a recent visit, I asked a young employee if he could look for yellow joycons for the Nintendo Switch since their website stated that they were in stock at this location. First, it took him a while before he actually went to check, then he went into the back for a very long time, returned saying that the website is inaccruate. In disbelief, I went to another employee and asked the same thing. After checking the computer, she literally went to the storage room and came back with the joycon in a few minutes.

I also went last weekend for the new amiibos. The gentlemens there were straight to the point and helped me right away. So honestly, its the luck of a lie at this location.

Bad customer service and lack of knowledge. I was given false information when asked about the trade in value of an item. I was told that value changed within 1.5hrs after an exact same trade that my friend did. Are you kidding me! When Eroica could not assist any further she was quick to get off the phone.

Just there few hours ago, the 2 girls there are the most horrible sales i have ever seen, ERICA AND CONNIE, they were rude to customer, dropped my purchased without saying sorry or feel sorry, squeezed my boxes to a small bag and ripped my box, when asked her to give a bigger bag, and was told the bag is HUGE in a mean way, i said i am not coming back to this location and the girl Connie said "so please don't come back", how rude are these people nowadays? Please don't visit this location

Buyer beware know your stuff before you buy don't buy anything refurbished without a guarantee better yet don't buy anything at this EB Games I had a really bad experience but the EB Games at Woodbine really pulled through and took care of me I was treated really rude and game shack next to Spencer's is usually cheaper

Girlfriend swings by the store and pre orders super smash bros.ultimate for me.
Malik tells her I can pick it up without her as long as I show up with receipt and matching address on ID. No one asked for further info.

Launch day sit on the line for a few minutes just to hear: We don't need receipt just ID. Oh your name isn't on the preorder you can't redeem it.

This place is a dump. Avoid!
