Was super happy to finally find lorcana cards (manager showed me they have a small stack of booster packs left). Limit 1 per customer, I get it. While in the store sent someone in who was also looking for lorcana cards. Manager lied to them and said they were out. Then watched him walk to a kiosk infront of the store and offer it to a mall employee instead!

I have been in this store some times already and typically I get a decent/average service, but last time the customer service was terrible, the girl at the desk was rude and not inclusive with visible minorities the Funko pops were damaged and it looks/feels like they don't care about the store and customers anymore because they sell anyways. So good luck with that

Worst location. Multi times I’ve tried to buy a game they have out on the shelf only to be told to wait for them to find it for a good 10mins only for staff to shrug and say “we can’t find it so sorry”. Then why is it on the sales floor? Rude staff, never offer help because they are always behind the counter talking to themselves, and when you ask them for help with something it feels like you’re bothering them. It’s crazy how you can go to literally any other location and get great service, but the Bayshore one location is utter trash. Not organized and rude staff. Save yourself time and go to another location with a better selection.

Went today with my boyfriend to exchange a ps5 remote under warranty. We had some troubles finding proof of warranty and Ameer that was working today handled it amazingly. The customer service we received was top tier. Very happy, thank you Ameer!

This store needs to review how their staff speak to customers. I found Michelle to be both rude and patronising. Plenty of competitors in the mall, will be shopping with them in future.

Don't pre order anything if you can't pick it up within a week, they'll put it back out on the floor without even telling you. Kinda defeats the purpose of pre ordering, you know?

I'm sad to say that this place is not what it once was. The old store manager Craig is gone now along with most of the old staff that made this place a great place to shop. In their place are employees who seem rude and dismissive for whatever the reason. On my last visit 01/04/23 the place was super busy with one employee manning the cash while the store manager stood there.

This employee takes off to serve someone else after he finishes with the customer ahead of you in line and after fiddling with something behind the drawer while you wait without even acknowledging you were there waiting. I get that the place was busy but a simple " Hi there how are you? Just wait a moment while I go do something else", would have sufficed. Instead your'e left their waiting and confused as to why it was your turn but your not getting served. While a store manager who is just standing there when the store is busy finally decides to jump in but is equally as bad if not worse as your questions regarding merchandise are met with a short, harsh one word response "NO" that makes you feel like YOU did something wrong.

What made this place great before was the amazing customer service from the Manage and supporting staff that made you feel welcomed and wanting to come back. Now that these qualities seemed to have gone out the window its hard to want to come back knowing the same level of customer service is no longer expected there. I'll give this store two stars for what it used to be but other than that I can't say much more.

Awesome staff, friendly and knowledgeable. Lot's of games and merchandise. (even fan shirts in other colors than just black)

Went to get a charger for Xbox controllers last week so I don’t have to use batteries. Lady working said it would work with the Xbox I have. Doesn’t work with controller and not able to return it do to the fact package was open.

Visited location on 3/19/22. Robin was extremely helpful. I bought a Nintendo Switch console. She suggested the screen protector and warranty on the controller. I wouldn't have thought of purchasing those Good investments. Great job of helping a customer and knowing your products.

The absolute best Gamestop in Ottawa to go to for collectibles. Always well stocked with exclusives and harder to find items. The store manager here is a delight. Very knowledgeable and always willingly to go the extra mile to ensure his customers are satisfied. You won't regret making it your first stop for your video games and collectible needs.

Very nice place they helped us find pokémon cards for sale with good value and gave us a deal when it had already passed because they didn't change the tag. (W gamestop)

I was extremely pleased with Craig, he's super friendly and always answers my 10 year olds questions. He has patience and treats everyone with respect. Amazing customer service from him and his staff. Thanks everyone

Who is the guy at bayshore with the accent trying to teach me how to shop in his store LOL. I left bevause this guy was such a douche!

Absolutely great staff! Craig is great at running his store and keeping it spotless, Nero is knowledgeable on about any and everything you need and is always quick to make you laugh, and those are just 2 people so far I could go on and on about the rest of the staff as well like Bella and Ali but I digress. This is a store you should check out in Bayshore you're never forced into a purchase and they have your best interest at heart. They're more than happy to help you track down the game you're looking for and if no stores have it they can try to order it in just for you and even point you in the right direction. The store is immaculate and the presentation is great I always leave with more than what I initially came in for!

More merch than gaming stuff, though it makes sense given how most games are easier to just download now anyhow.

Normally very happy with ebgames and the service. However, I am extremely disappointed with them. Preordered a copy of animal Crossing months ago, and received a call the night before release to tell me that the store was still open and I could come pick up the game. However, I arrived to find that the store was closed with no notice to me before hand. I understand the virus and need to be safe, however I wasn't notified of the closer, and was told by staff to come in.

Prices are high, but that's more of an industry problem than an issue with ebgames itself. The staff there has been consistently enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their games, and not in a corporate 'Everyone got the same customer-service training - Please buy our stuff' kind of way. You can tell they're all gamers and enjoy it like the rest of us.

Not a fan of this new EBX compared to the EB Games. I know they changed a while ago, but it wasn't until recently I realized its been over 2 years since I bought anything there. There's just so much 'stuff', like toys, memorabilia, and accessories. I get that the money is not in the software, but there's been quite a few times they didn't have the games I wanted, but had piles of merch. It's really crowded and staff are ok, but it does not seem like it would be wheelchair friendly for those who require it.

I bought the nba2k20 PS4 game and needed help trying to play a player that I can't find in the game. But what the store clerk was concerned about was why I had bought the game since I told him I had 2k19. Lol! Let me repeat.he asked me WHY I bought the game? ! I told him again.to play one of the players thats in the game.which is the whole point for new editions of the game to be sold on the first place. Unreal. He didn't respond after I told him why I bought the game. Rude!

Good employees that are helpful and don't hassle you about upselling repeatedly. The store layout is a bit of a pain though.

Why are used games expensive? Sometimes they cost more then the new copy, get your jazz together EB.

The staff is friendly, helpfully and passionate about games. The ability to talk to real gamers and get personalized help is why I buy my games from EB and not online.

I'm not really a big fan, they've really switched the focus from selling games to selling merchandise, I honestly hate everytime I decide to get a physical copy if a game, and usually would rather order online or digitally. The staff used to be very pushy with preorders and the warranty but the last two times I went in they didn't say anything so I dont know if this is still the case

They were suoer helpful and yet not pushy. I had loads of questions and they really went above and beyond to answer everything.

EB was once my favorite store.now it's 80% full of merchandise that is overpriced and is simply pandering to what's currently 'hot', be it games or something else entirely. The diverse community of gamers once served have taken second place to eight year olds who need more Fortnight and My Little Pony slippers, necklaces and t-shirts.

The people working there are helpful and were really patient with customers asking lots of questions before purchasing consoles and games for Christmas.

If you get the membership card its not bad cost wise. They have good service and they had a Nintendo rep around on black Friday and that was cool.

Employees here really don't know much at all. Also was very pushy for everything besides giving me advice on their products. Much more interested in selling me a useless warranty than getting me the right product.
