Terrible Ecco just terrible!

I purchased Ecco FlowT LX Buckle slides in August 2021. I have only ever used them sparingly indoors as "slippers". However, they have continuingly deteriorated over time.

I visited the Bayview Village Ecco store within the warranty period and they gave me the runaround regarding any potential claim. The best they were willing to do was send the slides to the local shoe repair inside the mall. This would not have solved the problem as the slides are obviously defective in many ways. I continued to wear them indoors and now 1.5 years later they are proving to be even more problematic. The leather is splitting in half, fading on the footbed and the buckle has almost completely fallen apart (see photos).

Is this the type of quality which Ecco offers it's customers these days? Please contact me and make things right.

The product is fine, but the customer service is appalling.
I chose a size 44 because that corresponds to a 10/10.5 according to their chart (I'm a 10.5). The shoes were too big so I have the simple question whether they can exchange for a 43.
After several emails, phone calls, and voicemails, I've yet to receive a response or speak to an actual person.
For $200+ shoes I'm shocked at the lack of customer service.

Ordered a pair of boots online, but received the boots with severe water/salt damage.
