I was looking through your Summer Sale, specifically the premium thermostat, as I currently own several of your older products.

However, I was surprised to see you guys only promote iPhone users and Amazon voice services.

There's no mention in the big bold bullet points, with pictures, if this device works with Google Assistant.

The only thing you've mentioned for your products, at least the premium thermostat, is "Control your home with your voice using Siri¹ or Alexa-Built in. ".

Every time that's done and your marketing team chooses to use ONLY those terms, it means the hundreds of thousands of the Google users must manually spend time researching to see if your product does support Google voice services. Most of your products I purchased do support Google Assistant. You just fail to mention it, nearly 100% of the time.

It is totally confusing why you would list 2 voice services but not mention one of our nations largest for both phones and homes. I DO NOT work for Google. I'm addressing this from a consumer standpoint and will no longer buy your products if I have to continue to manually research this basic information because you choose to only highlight others.

As a Smart Home consumer, I can tell you you're one of a very few handful of companies that fail to mention this compatibility when they market their products.

I haven't seen another or purchased another smart device from a company that only highlights iPhone users and Amazon voice devices.

Hopefully someone at ecobee will read this and make some modifications to the way your products are promoted, marketed and advertised.

You guys can do better!

Chose ecobee over other brands because it’s Canadian. Had the most horrendous experience trying to set up the thermostat myself, since there are no technicians on staff and the only installers are 3rd party. After numerous calls with various staff over different methods of communication (WhatsApp, phone call, Facebook messenger) but not video call, they were not able to help me install it and in the process, my humidifier wire was disconnected since i was told to connect and reconnect at the furnace control panel several times. My house is freezing since the thermostat doesn’t work and this has taken several days without a fix. Worst experience ever and will not be recommending to friends or enemies.

Great thermostats, would be even better if they could write a coherent installation manual. For example, hooking up a heat pump:

Ecobee: "In a conventional system, W/W1 controls your heating system and, where applicable, W2 controls your heating system’s second stage, which helps warm the home faster.

If you have a heat pump system with auxiliary heating, you’ll normally connect the AUX/AUX1 or W2 wire to the ecobee’s W1 terminal. If you have two stages of AUX heat, you will connect AUX2 to W2 on your ecobee. "

Huh? I think they are trying to say primary heat source (ie furnace) connects to w2 as a backup and heat pump goes to w1. Both now Aux 1 and 2? Aux by definition means secondary or alternative, now everything is auxiliary to what? Undefined? How about just using primary and secondary since makes no sense to call everything aux. Also, heat home faster? Does that mean heat pump is on at same time as your primary source?

Good customer support including on WhatsApp allowing very fast response! Other companies should learn from them using WhatsApp! In Europe support using WhatsApp is normal.
