Econo Lodge

We chose to stay at the Econo Lodge as we were taking the Polar Bear Express to Moosonee. The property and rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was basic (no hot foods), but exactly what you need for a day out exploring (the coffee was particularly good!) As Cochrane is quite small, most things (food, gas, grocery etc.) are within a 5 minute drive away.
We definitely recommend this property and would stay here again if we’re in the Cochrane area!

I travelled this past weekend and stayed at three hotels. This hotel was the cheapest and yet the best experience of the three hotels I stayed in. I was skeptical because I had never stayed in Cochrane before and had low expectations.

The room was super clean (aside from a slight stain on the desk chair) and had all of the amenities I could hope for - fridge, television, microwave, wi-fi that worked well.

I arrived late but the person working the front desk was very helpful.

The hotel does not have an ice machine but did have ice trays filled and frozen in the room fridge so that was helpful.

They do offer some fruit and muffins for breakfast as well.

The only knock I could find was when I went to check out, there was nobody at the front desk. There was a sign to call someone if I needed assistance but I was just dropping off my key card so I just left it on their desk and left.

Otherwise, a pleasant surprise. Beds were comfortable.

The nicest place to stay in town. They're very friendly and helpful. Great people keep they're rooms very clean. I would recommend this motel to anyone.

Absolutely a fantastic motel. Owners are very accommodating. Updated rooms, very clean and snowmobile friendly.

Stayed there for 3 nights. Have to say it was very enjoyable. Staff was very accommodating and will definitely be back.
