Edgewater Manor Restaurant

We had our wedding at Edgewater, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! The view at lakefront is amazing, and the restaurant doesn’t charge extra for using the area for signing ceremony! I’d strongly recommend this place, if you are also planning for a smaller size wedding ceremony!

Edit: after a fantastic experience celebrating our anniversary here a month ago, we returned with family members (10 people in our party) to celebrate my parents' 55th wedding anniversary. A different experience, unfortunately so much less. Our waiter, although very nice, was clearly inexperienced. We had a noticeably long wait to receive our meals; my dad's fillet mignon was not prepared to specification. When we protested, our waiter took it to the kitchen, then returned it back to us insisting it was cooked as asked. Only when we cut into the meat to show it was overcooked that he took it back to the kitchen. My dad only received his meal when everyone else was already on desserts. No apologies, no acknowledgement of the mistake. The kitchen was definitely off this night. Also, there were not one but two flies that kept pestering us all evening! Was expecting so much more.

July visit: My husband and I had our anniversary dinner here. The service is top notch, the food delicious with most everything prepared perfectly. The seared scallops melted in our mouths, however, the pork belly, while seasoned well, could have had crisper skin; it was rather chewy. I felt we were treated a little extra special given the special occasion. Truly appreciate this! Also there was a beautiful sunset! Highly recommended.

Bring your flyswatter. Stopped in today at noon for lunch and was seated in the Capone Room. They just opened and were seating people. No food was around yet but there were alot of flies either flying about or perched on the tablecloths. Can't imagine what it would have been like once the food started coming in. We left and won't be back.

On Dec. 29th, 2022, my fiancé and I married at the Edgewater Manor. We were so happy with the partnership we developed with the staff and all the touches they provided for our day. The food is magnificent and the servings are ample. Our staff contact was Bastionne and every request we had - large or small- was attended to. Every single one. No reminders needed! The Edgewater is a thriving business and I can see why. The staff made us feel that our guests were special and they gave us their best. Most of our guests ordered the steak and LOVED it. The salmon was also popular and perfectly prepared. The Edgewater salad is to die for - again very ample servings. The manor is truly elegant, meticulously maintained, beautifully appointed and for Christmas, it was exquisitely decorated. Both my husband and I, as well as all our guests, were all so very impressed. I really want to express our appreciation to the staff. Our day was perfect! Thank-you Bastionne and Peter.

A fantastic venue, with great food and pleasant staff. Went to a Christmas party hosted here. Was very fun.

Beautiful building, right at the water. The inside has an amazing atmosphere, very clean and welcoming. The stuff is super friendly, quick, paying attention beside their job just awesome. It's just van excellent place to be.

I would give the Edgewater Manor more stars if they were available!

We went here for an anniversary dinner - we did the gift card where they give you food off on a menu that they make exclusively for you based on your top 5 favorite foods. Honestly the best experience ever!

Every time we've gone here has been 10/10. Food is made with fresh ingredients. Even better in the summer months with the lake view. If you want to get laid, this is the date night dinner.

The pork belly and scallops were delicious. I quite enjoyed the ginger garnish with my tequila.

I took my Husband here for his birthday. He ordered the oysters and said they were the best ever. I had a Caesar salad and it was ok (lettuce was brown in spots). I ordered steak and my Husband ordered surf and turf for dinner and we ordered our steaks medium (I know this is not popular with chef's but this is how we like them). My husbands steak came out blue rare and he could not eat it so we had to send it back. They took his lobster tail and steak back to the kitchen. I had to eat my dinner without him unfortunately. My steak was also under cooked, I could only eat the outside (I would say my middle was medium rare if not rare) My Husband got his plate back with the same lobster and a new steak, this steak was also under cooked: (He ended up eating it because he was starving at this point. Our waiter was not helpful at all and was actually a little rude. We had our meal, wine, and a dessert and the bill came to $450 with tip. They did not compensate us at all for the inconvenience of not being able to eat together along with the extremely under cooked steaks. I would not go here again. Very disappointed: (

My wife and I had an amazing wedding at The Edgewater Manor. Dealing with Peter was easy and he was a pleasant manager to deal with. The staff was very accommodating and the venue was an excellent location to get married at. Ceremony and reception was spectacular and everything went off without any complications. As far as the food and dining experience, it was impeccable. We could not of asked for anything better, The selection and taste was beyond compare. All our guests who attended had nothing but compliments for the service, wine and food quality. The chef at Edgewater Manor knows how to prepare steak, fish and chicken. His appetizers were fantastic and the Edgewater salad was to die for. If you are seeking a venue that can accommodate vegan of vegetarian than the Edgewater is your 1st choice in making these arrangements for a wedding or dining experience. Food, wine, liquor and service was perfect. We were very happy in our choice of venue. The "Edgewater manor" will forever be our choice in the future.

Most beautiful place for a special occasion, best view of Ontario lake, you can see Toronto, Mississauga. Food is not cheap but i had the best steak of my life. They have literally hundreds of wines in their wine menu. Totally recommend it.

Decided to have dinner at Edgewater after living in the neighborhood for 10 years. From the beautiful look of the manor, the thought of dining here was quite daunting as we thought it might be too expensive for us. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety of the menu and found the prices to be fantastic considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. I am not vegetarian but ended up going with the brussels sprouts appetizer and sweet potatoes vegetable bowl as the descriptions sounded great. They were both amazing and could not believe the amount of halloumi cheese that came with the sweet potatoes dish. My wife had the burrata and osso bucco, which were both fantastic. Finished off with the carrot cake which we almost ordered another of. The location is beautiful. We sat at the fully covered patio and took a stroll through the garden as we waited for apps. We will be making Edgewater a monthly visit.

The wedding we attended at the Edgewater was a truly magical experience. The beautiful setting, only minutes from home, made us feel like we'd been transported to a tropical destination. On the hottest day of the summer, the staff kept their cool. The food and service were sublime. The staff were so friendly and approachable. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun. Thank you.

Absolutely GORGEOUS setting with a stunning view! Definitely upscale dining. Food was good. Skoreo cheesecake was the fluffiest cheesecake I've ever had. Service was excellent both from our primary server and trainee, Jason. Will definitely go back to try something else.

We had the BEST server! I forgot his name, but he was Absolutely Amazing! Our table was Celebrating our Niece who Graduated last week, and he was so awesome, he explained the meals, he answered questions for us! Great food and Exceptional Service!

Also go just before the Sun goes Down and the Pictures by the Lake come out incredible!

We had our wedding at Edgewater last week, and it was an incredible experience. All of our guests have been raving about the ambience, the venue, food and service!

A huge thank you to Peter who worked with us to plan the event and Baastian who was there on the day of the event to ensure everything went smoothly. Baastian made sure that my husband and I had time to eat and drink in between all the photoshoots and events, checking in on us regularly - this really made us feel taken care of!

A thank you as well to all the incredible serving staff who were soo hospitable and kind! Overall, very happy we decided to go with Edgewater as our reception venue!

Just completed a corporate event lunch here and had Angelica as our server. She was great and had great attention to detail with our guests requests and needs.

The food and service at The Edgwater is top notch and if you have not been here we definitely recommend it!

We cannot recommend Edgewater highly enough as an incredible wedding venue! We were married there September of this year with about 70 guests, and it was just the best experience start to finish. Peter was great to deal with - I basically spammed him with emails and he made everything happen! It was all just so easy.

Our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was or how delicious the food was. They were amazing dealing with all kinds of dietary restrictions, including gluten free, vegetarian, and more severe allergies. On top of that, the staff was absolutely lovely to deal with. Every single server and bartender was incredibly kind and accommodating.

Highly recommend visiting Edgewater whether it's for a wedding or just a special dinner celebration!

Have been to Edgewater many times and have been very happy every time. More recently we had our wedding there and it couldn't have went better. Ours was a smaller wedding and yet everyone was very well attended to by the staff. Very satisfied with out experience at Edgewater Manor.

Sadly my experience was absolutely horrible and I did not even walk into the restaurant. I had booked 5 weeks in advance for a special 60th birthday and requested a special table (with a lovely view) for this momentous occasion. The day of my reservation I received a call to confirm we were coming. I said absolutely yes! We are so excited and looking so forward to a wonderful evening. I confirmed that 5 weeks … 5 weeks.prior I had asked for a ‘ special table with a view’ and wanted to make sure all was okay. I was told ‘ we can not guarantee that’. I was quite confused - not sure why once you RESERVE a table (5 weeks prior) you do not have a specific table!? I asked to speak to someone that could help me understand this. Pete, a manger from what I understand, took the call and I explained my situation to which his reply was ‘ well you can go somewhere else’. My heart sank. I was so excited to enjoy a beautiful
evening at a lovely location. I asked for help in understanding why I could not have a table with a view for a 60th celebration. Pete replied ‘ well we can’t guarantee it because everyone wants a nice table’. I replied that I totally understood that and that is why I booked…. 5 weeks in advance! Pete continued that ‘ we have no idea what problems may arise so we can’t guarantee a table’. I asked if a ‘problem’ meant someone more ‘important ‘ than me would show up and they would require the best table in the place for them? He replied ‘ yes…. I mean no, ’ He continued to say a problem could be ‘ the dining room could catch on fire and we’d need to move you’. Wow- perhaps if you are worried about the place burning down Pete you may want to check on your kitchen staff.
I am a ‘ no one ‘ Pete you are correct, but I am a paying customer that will not recommend the Edgewater Manor to anyone. Funnily enough the 60th celebration was for a very important person to me that happens to work for a professional sports team. He would be what you’d consider a ‘ some one. ’ He will also not recommend the Edgewater Manor to the many people he knows. He was glad I cancelled (I did call to cancel as I know the restaurant industry has been hard hit through the pandemic and I did not want the servers to be impacted). And Pete thank you for your advice- we did ‘ go somewhere else’ and had a wonderful time and we were treated like we mattered. So much so that after our joyous evening of celebration we will be sharing with all of the ‘no ones ‘ and ‘some ones ‘ to frequent Cucci in Oakville!

I am glad business is so good for you folks that you can treat people terribly and turn away business. I have never written a restaurant review but I was so mortified by the disrespect I felt I needed to warn others.
Only go to Edgewater Manor if you ‘matter’ and you are a ‘someone’ important.

Owners reply was a very nice try to spin a negative experience into a positive one. At least your PR people are on point. Perhaps they should answer the phone and deal with customers and give dear old Pete a break- he seems a little stressed. I see from many comments on all review sites that Pete seems to be disrespectful with everyone. And to whomever wrote the reply - you were not on the call so you cannot recap what was said to me and the tone. An apology and taking responsibility would go a long way. But that is not Pete’s style.
Choose wisely folks - this place is not a wise choice.

Venue and staff are great, but unfortunately the owner Peter is extremely unprofessional and his behaviour towards the women in my family was frankly disgusting. My sister-in-law just had her wedding here this weekend and Peter literally screamed and cursed at her and all her bridesmaids and mothers for a mistake that he made. He double booked the bridal sweet and threw a tantrum, screaming and cursing at the girls to leave the room when they arrived bringing some of them to tears and leaving my mother in law shaking because she was so upset. Imagine a grown man screaming at you on your wedding day for a mistake that he made. My wife tried to reason with him and he refused to speak with her. The women felt so degraded and appalled by his unacceptable behaviour towards them. This man should not be in business and frankly is a terrible human being for what he did. I warn anyone thinking of booking this venue for an event that the owner is impossible to deal with and I for one will never go back due to his horrific behaviour towards women.

Absolutely beautiful and intimate venue for a wedding. Great vibes and atmosphere and the staff was incredible attentive and very friendly the whole night.
The food was also very good, and one of the better meals I've had at a wedding.
Overall a fantastic experience.

I’m sure the food is good considering how expensive this place is, I’m not posting about the food. What my issue is on Friday night sept 10th they let off a massive fireworks show and neglected to inform their neighbours, in the past they had enough decency to inform people. The whole area sounded like a war zone for a good 20min!
Not to mention this was also done the night before September 11th and is very inconsiderate to those that are reflecting on the tragedy of 9/11.

I eat in this place from time to time! This is the best place to eat. I go to this spot routinely. The cooking is just great, the staff is professional and the payment is decent. I enjoy going in this restaurant for a nice meal.

We had our wedding at Edgewater Manor on September 25th. From the time we booked just before covid hit to the day of the wedding, Bastiaan was the picture of patience with all of my questions. We had to move our ceremony under cover at the last moment and it was done seamlessly. The ceremony went off without a hitch as did cocktails and dinner afterwards. Everything was done perfectly. The meal was outstanding with several guests planning on going back for anniversary dinners. I would highly recommend Peter, Bastiaan and Chef Luke for your next event. You won’t be disappointed.

I attended my best friends wedding over the weekend, and was amazed at how beautiful the venue was. The food was exceptional and the staff were all very professional, and Wilson the bartender helped make the evening fantastic! Unfortunately, prior to the wedding ceremony, the bridal party, bride, and mothers of the bride and groom encountered one of the most upsetting encounters with the owner, Peter. The venue doubled booked the bridal suit where we were all getting ready, and to resolve the situation, we agreed that we would finish taking photos, then exit the suit for the next bride. In the mean time we asked to speak with Peter regarding this situation. A short time later, Peter barged into the room screaming at us and demanding that we leave the room immediately. We tried to tell Peter that he was being inappropriate and that this is a bride on her wedding day. He continued screaming and shouting at us, and left us in tears. I have never encountered anything like this and I am still in shock at how unprofessional Peter was, and I hope no one else ever experiences what we did. Needless to say, I will never return to Edgewater, which is truly unfortunate.

Our sons wedding was a dream for us. The venue was perfect. The service was friendly. The food was appreciated by all our guests. Peter was wonderful to deal with.

The view is beautiful, you can see the skyline of Toronto from the edge of the water, and sunsets here look like they do in Hawaii. The presentation and flavours of the food is immaculate and the waiters are so kind and friendly that you’ll feel at home. My family and I tried the steaks and about 15 different items from the menu, and everything was delicious. Our waiter came outside to bring us some cake at the end of the night, and took pictures for us by the water and the photos look stunning. This is a great place for an anniversary dinner.

Loved the ambiance, food, the attentive wait staff. But very limited times to dine, so book well in advance.

The Edgewater Manor seems to be an excellent venue for weddings. Situated on the shore of lake Ontario the view is beautiful and a gentle breeze is always welcomed. The gentleman in charge was friendly extremely courteous and had a great sense of humor. We were there to set up a wedding, not even guests and still felt we were treated very well, I can imagine how professionally a wedding would be handled.
I would recommend this venue to everyone.

We attended a wedding here. It was sooo beautiful, the staff were very helpful. Food was good. The only downside is the parking is limited. There were 2 weddings going on.

The food and atmosphere were amazing the wait staff were friendly knowledgeable about the menu and also easy going. If your looking for a special place to go l highly recommend the Edgewater manner.

Edgewater hosted my elopement and it was perfect. What a STUNNING location. We had the ceremony and dinner outside and you couldn't ask for a better view. Peter helped sort all the details out from day one, and when I showed up on the big day, everything was in place and ready to go. Wilson (our server) was flawless and looked after our every need for a solid 4+ hours. I have zero complaints and would recommend this place to anyone getting married or just wanting a wonderful meal in a beautiful location.

We were so disappointed. My sister was so excited to look at the property for a potential wedding venue. The manager, Peter, was disrespectful and unprofessional. When we first walked in, there was no one to greet us. We walked towards the bar area and found Peter without a mask. He was suprised to see us, he mixed up our appointment. He thought our appointment was at another location. He blamed us for their misunderstanding and didn't apologize. The manager didn't bother to give us a tour. He just told us to wait in a room. Once he joined us in the room, he was still without a mask on, sat down by a table and told us to sit. We were hesitant as the table was small with only three chairs seated and there was 5 of us in the room and he had no mask. He didn't bother bring out more chairs to the table. He just sat there waiting for us to sit down. We weren't comfortable sitting next to him. My sister and her fiance sat at the opposite side of the table. The rest of us found seat by the side of the room. Then, Peter continued to say, "Are you sure you didn't mix up the location emails? " We felt like he was continuing to blame us and still didn't apologize for the mix up. He started the conversation with the pricing of the venue and asked us the dates we were thinking of. He was coming off very arrogant and defensive as if we were wasting his time. My sister's fiance stopped him and asked him why he wasn't wearing a mask. He's responded, "We are 6 ft apart. I don't need mask. " We reminded the manger we where inside, and the sign at the door said mask was mandatory. He got really defensive and rude. My sister's fiance stopped him and said, "Ok I'm just going to stop this conversation. " The manager slammed his laptop closed and angrily collect his things and yelled good bye 5 times as he left the room. We showed ourselves out and we were appalled by his behavior and unprofessionalism.
