This is one of the best gelato places around here and their tiramisu is best and rare to find it. I had the privilege of it once. All of their flavors are very good. Get a Tanzanian dark chocolate with pistachio on a waffle cone. Gg.
Great service, flavor’s menu and the extensive. They are open late at Sunday night, so is perfect. This place is a plus for Etobicoke conservative area. My choice always: the hazelnut ice cream
The ice cream was very good. I went there for the first time and had the burnt marshmallow. Def recommend. The service was off but I assume that’s because we went 30 minutes before close and the young ladies were not thrilled to take our order. But if you ignore that the ice cream is great.
My absolute favourite place to get ice cream, gelato, sorbet and frozen yogurt in the city. They’re homemade waffle cones are incredible and you can smell them making them when you walk by. Definitely lures us in! Haha The staff are always great and the flavours change which keeps things exciting. Love that you can buy pints of your fave flavours and waffle cones to go too! I feel so fortunate to have such an amazing (and cute) ice cream shop in our area and look forward to stopping in for treats and making many family memories for years to come, all year round.
Miki makes the Best hot chocolate! The flavours are just lovely, naming few of my favourite ones, straciatella, toasted almond, Tanzania dark chocolate and many many more. They serve gelatos, ice creams and frozen yogurt and much more. Can’t wait to try their truffle chocolate, pre order for valentine’s. One the the few amazing icecream shops in entire GTA.
Didn't know this place existed until we went searching for ice cream one summer night. The ice cream here is fantastic! Unique flavors in large portions. Try the burnt marshmallow!
One of the best ice cream / gelato spots in Etobicoke. If you like chocolate, I highly recommend trying the dark chocolate gelato flavour - it is to die for.
We love going to Ed's real scoop for the homemade ice cream. Our favorite is, hands down, the French mint chocolate. Unlike other French mint chocolate ice cream parlours and brands which use the thick chocolate chips; Ed's French mint ice cream uses chocolate chip shavings which truly melt in your mouth and add to the mint ice cream experience. If you're looking for a great mint ice cream experience, this is it. Quite possible, my favourite flavor among the many great flavors.
Absolutely love this place! Went here on a first date with the most amazing and beautiful person aka the love of my love haha. The ice cream is indeed very good and would definitely visit again
I’ve been a big Ed’s fan for years but always went to the one on Roncie despite Mimico being quite close by. Same great ice cream with creative flavours.
This is indeed my go to for the best homemade ice cream. Delicious every single time! Standard flavors that are a sure win for any crowd, including burnt marshmallow (that will take you back to your childhood campfire), cookies n cream (with the biggest chunks of cookies you can handle), and my personal fave Callebaut Milk Chocolate (melt in your mouth chocolate). The secret you should really know about though, is their Frozen Yogourt. Oh my, this is what I'm talking about! Silky smooth, just tart enough, fruity and flavorful Frozen Yogourt - that will have you back for more before you know it! I get mine by the pint.
Visited Sunday afternoon with my better half. I had a bowl of French Mint and she had a bowl of Strawberry. Could be the best ice cream in the city. Giving Kawartha a run for their money. Will absolutely be back.
Ice cream might be decent - but any business that will take.your money, but then tell.you that you can't use the washrooms because "we aren't really open" is deceitful.
It's one thing to mask up and limit customers, which I'm fine with. To not allow use of the restrooms, but greedily take my money (spent $45 in 5 minutes) truly shows the level of intelligence in this establishment.
Shame.on you Ed's - ruined a good evening with friends and family
You want to try a different twist on ice cream. Come to this place. They got Piña Colada ice cream and Marshmallow flavors. They serve ice cream, gelato and sherbet I think, lol. I will definitely be back to try some other flavors next time.
MY FAVORITE ICE CREAM PLACE! I've been going here ever since I was little and they have the best ice cream ever! The flavors are very unique, my favorite one is burnt marshmallow:)
For what I paid, I was quite surprised with the portion and quality. Didn't think to ask prices before ordering, and I don't remember them being written up anywhere either. Staff was not overly eager to serve either. A very forgettable experience unfortunately.
The raspberry and lemon gelato are fantastic but are using wood spoons that are so awful and hurtful. My poor lips are so sore almost to the point of bleeding because of the wood spoon.
The best ice cream in the city. Pistachio and burnt marshmallow are my favourite. Their ice creams never disappoint us. Always consistent and delicious. We've been going here past 3 years now. Thank you!
Clean shop, lovely staff and plenty of ice cream flavours to try!
My personal favourites are the Burnt Marshmallow and French Mint. I recommend getting a kids size cup if you want try multiple scoops since you do get quite a bit of ice cream for the size.
Shakes, coffee and, for the upcoming winter, hot coco is also available to make you feel toasty.
This place is delicious. They make their own waffle cones, fresh everyday, smells divine. I had the pistachio gelato, amazing. The kids had vanilla and hubby had cookies and creme and said its definitely the best ice cream he has had. Cant wait to go back.
I love ed's! The only reason for the 4 is because their other locations have waaaay more selection. Even with the million screaming kids that was in there for some fundraiser I still managed to get in and out quickly.thank you for every scoop!
I love the old school feel at Ed’s Real Scoop. They have seasonal ice cream flavours that make it fun to come back for visits. Earlier this year, had a Guinness flavour around St. Patty’s day. Staff are friendly!
Ed’s for life. I even got a $50 gift card which we finished within 2 months. All of their flavours I tried were amazing. When friends and/or family visitors, Ed’s is almost like a ritual for us.
The gelato flavors I chose tasted Amazing and I loved them but there weren't many flavors too choose from. I expected variety of flavors. There were only few to choose from. The gelato was creamy and it had flavor in it. It wasn't like many ice-cream shops that sell watery ice cream. Would I recommend it? Yes because their other branches might have more variety. Price was decent.
The ice cream was delicious! I had chocolate and the spicy chocolate, my friend had mint chocolate chip. I tasted all three and it was definitely freshly made! Don’t roar at those prices my American friends, it’s located in Canada and that’s their normal range. The lion picture was on the walls along with other art pieces. I was there right before the closing time, hence the mop bucket in the background. It was a great ice cream treat?
Quiet little place that you could easily miss while walking along Lakeshore west. Good collection of ice creams / gelato and sorbets. I loved the Bacio gelato and the banana chocolate icecream.
Was underwhelmed by the ice cream and the mediocre service here. Nice little spot, lots of flavours, but missing anything mocha flavoured and even the chocolate toffee was just ok. Not much toffee. Toppings are offered on the side so they spill all over. Caramel sauce was like water. Meh.
Great ice cream and makes me feel like I live in this great little neighbourhood when I can walk down to ed's and get this fantastic and sometimes exotic hard ice cream.
Only been here once. It's a fairly small store but sufficient for the purpose. Standard quality of ice cream/gelato. Had some really interesting flavors tho! Definitely will go back.
A nice little store on Lakeshore with homemade ice creams, gelato, shakes & sorbet. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I ordered a scoop of espresso and red hot chilli chocolate gelato and the flavours complemented each other wonderfully. The red hot chilli chocolate especially had a hot aftertaste which you can feel in the back of your throat. For less than 5$ a scoop not much it doesn't get any better.
Ice cream, sorbets and general deliciousness. Cute little ice cream place in Roncesvalles that we stumbled upon. So many eclectic varieties of ice cream and makes everyone feel like a kid in candy/ ice cream store! We tried the burnt marshmallow and chocolate ice cream sundae and oh it was so so good! The ice cream was so smooth and delicious, just perfect for a summer day. Although it was pouring rain that day! The staff are very friendly, place is super cute and nice. Highly recommend!
The service was great and the ice cream was amazing. The mango gelato was delicious and the portions (I ordered a large 2 scoop) we're more than I expected, which is always great!
If the line-up for ice-cream is out the door, the ice-cream is worth it. Their homemade ice cream is amazing here. They switch up the flavour's from month to month, and keep the signature ones around. I think it's great that small businesses like this are starting to pop up in New Toronto. It's a small location and there isn't very much seating inside. But you're there for the ice-cream and not the seating. They do offer a big wooden bench just outside of their location. It's something to look for when you're trying to find their ice-cream place.
