I went in the morning, pretty quiet but it was a chilly day. Pretty good spot to take a date or just hang out with a friend

Was great before, now it is “event flat rate parking 8$” Saturday and Sunday 8am 3pm.
We usually not spending more than 1 h there and this is seems like a rip off.

Park/garden adjacent to the Toronto Botanical Centre. If you are in the area it is worth a visit also because it is free. Otherwise it's nothing transcendental, given the size of the city I was expecting something more impressive.

Beautiful garden! Such a nice breath of fresh air in the city. The plants were all so well taken care of and vibrant. The volunteer was so helpful, giving us directions and letting us know where to find the different plants. Will definitely be back!

Different plant and flower species. Very well maintained. It also leads to different hiking trails. Lovely place!

Very nice garden in the city. Very well maintained. Lots of wedding parties come for photos. The best thing is there is lots of seating and benches everywhere. Shade as well.

WCs by the cafe and inside the botanical garden building. Clean and bright. Cafe is excellent, friendly folks working there, decent 3$ coffee.

The only complaint is that the parking meter system is terrible. It was expensive, confusing, and abysmal. Considering this is a gorgeous garden, city-operated, this is embarrassing. 10$ for 3 hrs. Minimum fee of 5$. The app didn't work for us. The credit card was overcharged. The printer didn't print.

Very scenic and relaxing place. Oxygen rich atmosphere, makes you feel refreshed. Highly recommended for nature lovers. There are also hiking trails.

They don’t allow dogs. Even if in a carrier posing no threat to the ecosystem. Go somewhere that is accepting of all animals such as Toronto Island.

Not the gardens I remembered from when I last visited 5 years ago. Maintenance and general upkeep of gardens seems to have lapsed.

Very crowded during the weekends. Otherwise a beautiful botanical garden well maintained landscapes.

Not as good as usual.still under construction, no annuals planted, rhododendrons not in bloom, slot of debris in the beds

A very beautifully planted flower beds which fills the complete garden with range of colours. One can enjoy trails that connects Edward gardens to Toronto botanical garden. We visited at the outbreak of spring and brought back colourful memories, will definitely visit again.

This lovely garden with its variety of flowers, shrubs and trees is a tranquil experience. We visited in June when so much was in bloom. The paths offer places to sit, rest, relax and enjoy nature. As a couple it ws a romantic experience.

While requires a car for most (long TTC journey otherwise) well worth the trip. Gardens are beautiful but also the upper park area is a hidden area for rest, picnic or playing with the family

I love visiting for the art, the atmosphere and for The Royal Botanical Garden's lecture events. There's always so much to learn from nature and from those who appreciate it.

You must visit Edwards Gardens because it is peaceful and serene. It is well taken care of and it is a beautiful place to walk with family and friends or alone. It will jump-start you senses and encourage to take more walks. It is breath-taking with its lovely, well cared for garden and paths as well as the beautiful trees and shrubs. You will enjoy the scenes as well as the little creatures who run up and through the trees and on the ground. It is easy to get to by bus, bicycle or car or any other mode of transportation you choose. Take a trip to Edwards Gardens, it will relax your mind, heart, soul and body.

Beautiful place to go for a walk, parking fills up quickly so go early. There's a small cafe as well, which is nice.

Usually take walks during spring and summer during sundays. Careful during the afternoons though it gets really crowded, lots of photoshoots and picnics happening.
If youre a Pokemon Go player, this is the place to be during community day. Lots of pokestops clustered and are within walking distance of other clusters.

Very beautiful, there is even an indoors centre that sells flowers and etc. The park is very big and also perfect for pokemon go!

My cousin and I came here on a hot summer, I mean autumn day. There was a lot of people and tourists all throughout the gardens. It had rained the night before so I ended up with a few mosquito bites. Be aware when going on a warm day.

The gardens are free of admission but they ask that you make a $10 donation in the form of paying for parking at one of the parking meters. There's a building with a gift shop, library, help desk and washrooms.

I had gone to the ZimArt Rice Lake Gallery not too long ago and was pleasantly surprised to see Zim Sculptures.

The leaves on the trees had started changing colours so there were lots of beautiful fall colours all around. We didn't follow any particular path or route while we were there. We wandered around admiring all the different flowers and plants.

Edwards Gardens is a large garden that is approximately 25 minutes away from downtown Toronto. It is arguably the most beautiful garden in Toronto, and the most beautiful time to visit Edwards Gardens is mid October. Its the perfect place to be if your a nature lover, shutterbug, or are simply looking for something relaxing and calming to do. Plan a minimum of 2 hours to explore Edwards Gardens. There is a relatively large parking lot with free parking at Edwards Gardens.

You can Also plan your visit to Edward Gardens with some of the Gardens’ various daily activities. For instance, Edwards Gardens hosts a year-round farmer’s market every Thursday between 2: 00 and 7: 00 pm. Thursday at 6: 00 pm (and Tuesday also offers free guided tours of the Gardens. A visit on a Thursday in mid October at around 4 pm is the perhaps the best time of the year to visit Edwards Gardens.

In mid October, the rich diversity of trees in the gardens start taking their fall colours. The diversity of trees, plants, and flowers is as rich as Toronto’s cultural diversity. There are very few signs of the fact that Edwards Gardens is located in a large urban area. Beautiful water streams are scattered across the Gardens.

This is an excellent place to get in tune with nature. The walking trails, which are for the most part flat, are clean and well kept. Most people come here for a walk, but summer time also attracts runners and cyclist. The walking trails are not at all crowded and in the summer, you can sometimes expect to come across wild life, like ground hogs and Canada goose.

There is also a coffee shop as well as a store at the entrance of the gardens premises. There are numerous benches throughout the park to allow you to catch your breath and admire the surroundings scenery.

At the end of your visit to Edwards Gardens, if your schedule permits, you can drive in Toronto’s Bridle Path, the most upscale neighbourhood in Canada. Bridle Path is a short 5-10 minute drive from Edwards Gardens.

A gem of a botanical garden in midst of toronto.so glad the place remained and was not 'constructed' away.it is brilliantly unique almost in every season, but my favourite has to be early fall.summer can be noisy though as many people like to have wedding and such here, with photoshoot and all.make a hell of noise, and unfortunately many also leave trash behind inspite of so many thrash cans.this is something I feel sad and often me and many other volunteers do thrash pick up walks.and try to keep it clean.needless to say the garden employees do a great job.also in summer make sure to visit the learning garden, where children learn gardening and is so peaceful.

Absoulty beautiful garden in midtown Toronto. Its a must visit in any season specially in spring and summer time where there would be plenty of gorgeous flowers. The park has a nice trail which is easy for walking, hiking and cycling.

A nice place to check out for some scenery and nature. I love the little ponds and fountains in the garden. Beautiful place.

"Didn't know a place like this existed near me! "

I've been living in this general area my whole life and I had not idea this amazing forest and garden existed here. Love how it's free and just a fun place to walk around, learn and explore. There was a wedding going on while we were walking around and I thought it was a great idea to have a wedding here!

Also, there is just so much to see. Love how each bench is dedicated to someone. Love how you can just sit and enjoy nature right smack in the middle of the city! Love love love it!
21 September 2018 14:22
Loved it, it can get a bit busy from late morning to early afternoon but it takes nothing away from the scenery and ambience of the place

Not a big place indoors or out, but a lovely stroll with attractive multi-level grounds. Well-paved, pleasant walking path along Wilket Creek, southward into Wilket Creek Park, ending at Eglinton Ave. (Ontario Science Centre grounds across the Ave.).

Pleasant surprise today: a distributor of imported stone sculpture by various Zimbabwean artists is holding an outdoor show/sale till end of September. Two artists will be creating onsite in public view for the duration.

Don't know if Edwards typically hosts other outside events like this. Check it out!
