Egg Roll King

So far ordered twice, both times I’ve been blown away by the quality. They honestly set a far higher standard for Chinese food in general. This will be my go to for the foreseeable future. Friendly service on top of the amazing food really sets them apart as well.

The gentleman who served me was comedic and kind; however, there was a legitimate hair in my rice and some of it was hard. The egg rolls don’t have sprouts like everywhere else. It’s more of a mushy cabbage mixture. The price beats the other places with similar food but it’s not worth it, unfortunately. It’s too bad I had high expectations and was excited to make this my new go to dinner place based on the price!

Well, colour me impressed! Really, really enjoyed the food. Staff was very personable and friendly. Admittedly, they made a small mix up in our order (given the fact they were crazy busy it wasn't terribly shocking). Now, everyone makes mistakes, but it's how you handle that defines your character.

This establishment handled it with grace and aplomb. Highly, highly recommended, not only for the great tasting food, but also the great attitude! Portions were very generous. The hot and sour soup was especially good - quite a spicy kick to it!

The only downside is that parking is somewhat limited, and during rush hour, backing onto Courtland can require some patience. I'd suggest parking on the side road and walking the extra ten feet.

Literally thee best Chinese food place in all of KW! Ive tried so many places and Egg Roll King surpasses all of them! You can taste the freshness in every bite and the portion sizes are perfect! Plus, Tony is super friendly and personable! Great guy!

The food tasted like it was Stale! Presentation wise was great, but food lacked so much quality and flavor for the price. Owner lied and said the food was fresh ; what a joke! I Will never go back to this restaurant again. Stomach is very upset

General Tao Chicken and Rice was amazing. Added a spring roll. Definitely a two meal portion.

Getting passed the fake reviews were one thing but getting a hold of them to place an order is another. Tried last week and couldn't get a hold of them, drove passed when they were supposed to be open, they weren't. Finally got a hold of them to try the food for myself. Gotta say it wasn't worth the hype from all the reviews.

Food took 35 minutes longer than told, lukewarm at most. Fairly greasy, taste was bland, lots of liquid. No parking.

For the effort it took to reach out to them for the subpar food and service, it's not a repeat for me.

Just ordered a dinner for 4a and Singapore style noodles! Everything was amazing and fresh except the chicken balls, they were pretty much dough balls with a tiny piece of chicken in them lol.overall great food! Def recommend

These guys know how to make good Chinese food. Always super friendly and super busy. I called tonight and they weren't taking orders until after 8pm because they were busy according to their answering machine. They actually called me back about 745 to see if I still needed to order. That's customer service if you ask me.

The food is always fresh with generous portions. Not those weak little chicken balls! Singapore noodles are amazing!

Our go-to for Chinese. Fast, friendly, and the food is ACTUALLY delicious.we never end the meal feeling greasy and gross like some other chinese takeout places.

Pork mein. Noodle sauce and medium level of spice good. Pork a bit dry. Egg roll is sweet. Filling.

Stopped in for a sesame chicken and rice, and let me tell you, this is by far the best Chinese meal I've ever had, the crispy actual breaded chicken, the rice and the veggies for the crunch is just exceptional.try it you won't be disappointed.

I'm from Stony Creek and this is hands down the best Chinese food I have ever had in my life it tastes like home cooked Food. Absolutely phenomenal anyone saying otherwise is uncultured in Asian cuisine.

If I could give it zero I would. After waiting 2.5 hrs! I call and they forgot our order. Despite us calling 30 mins previous and they stated it was on the way. I don’t care how good your food is, no food is worth the wait or terrible customer service. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. Don’t order.

Been a customer for a number of years, definitely the best egg rolls in town! Family oriented restaurant with a lot of heart in the food. Excellent service and food. Highly recommend to everyone.

Food quality was good. But I ordered a combo plate that came with "chow mein" but I received only chop suey, and no soft noodle. I was disappointed after paying $30 for my meal but I had already returned home when realizing. Maybe I am mistaken for what some restaurants consider chow mein, next time I will confirm when placing the order. Food was fresh and hot. Just be sure to confirm details of your order.

For me, there is no king of egg rolls here. They are terrible; extremely mushy inside and taste yucky. Our other food items were good/alright - we had veggie chow mein, veggie lo mein and mushroom fried rice.

I moved to the KW area last year and have been searching for a good spot. I found it! OMFG I found it!

I used to order food from here in the past and did not have any issues.
I recently ordered food and was told it would be 45 minutes to arrive. It took them nearly 2 hours to deliver my order. I ordered strawberry bubble tea and it did not taste like strawberry it tasted like sour milk. The quality of food wasn't as good as before either. I will not be ordering from here again.

It was fresh and hot but to me it was not the taste of traditional Chinese food. Just not my cup of tea.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the city. It's actually my favorite Chinese restaurant of all time! Always fresh, pipping hot, and affordable. Egg rolls are the bomb and I hear the spring rolls are good too, but.the name. You have to call ahead first to make sure you can place an order. This place is busy! They're on a schedule all the time, and they expect you to be on time to pick up your food! Which I always am. Don't show up early. The king himself will tell you that.

But, if you do show up early, it's a pleasant space. The fish tank is awesome and he usually chats me up when I show interest. I'd like to sit in there one time, just to hear the banter that goes on with his custys.

This place is the best.

This is the BEST place for chinese food in all of KW. Their food is consistently tasty and they never use shortcuts. Chicken balls are legit chicken balls (not like other places that are now using fish and chip batter). Their egg rolls are dynamite! They have the best lunch combos and once I start eating I just can't stop until it's finished. I have tried other places in KW and have been disappointed by their shortcut ways, lack of flavour, and stale vegetables. You will never have that at Egg Roll King. I will never stop coming back here! Thank you to the Owners. This place is a GEM.

Very polite and respectful plus diligent and customer service oriented and not forgetting that the food I ordered especially the shrimp rolls which I have never had before and the calamari were LIT. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you guys.

We just had an excellent meal from Egg Roll King. Combo plate 3 + 5. Every element was delicious. I was impressed with the size of the chicken chunks in the fried rice. We also loved the chicken chop suey. It had great flavour and was not just bean sprouts and the chicken was also delicious in it. All the meat options were tasty and tender. We'll definitely return!

Absolutely my favorite place to get Chinese food. Highly recommend. Tony is such a great guy. Pick up your meal yourself tho. Always fresh.

No walk in order allowed for the moment, only order by phone. We got a menu and placed the order right from the parking lot. There are 3 parking spots in front of the restaurant. The guy at the counter was very nice. We got our order after 15min and it was a great. Taste so good. Definitely we will go back again.

We ordered the combination plates from Egg Roll King yesterday and were eager based on the reviews and the fact that we have not been too impressed with the Chinese Food Restaurants in KW since we moved here. We read from the reviews that they are busy and tried to get through for over an hour. We were finally able to get through just after 7pm and we were told that the food would be fresh (keep in mind the restaurant closes at 9pm)
Our food was delivered just after 8pm; although the portions were healthy the quality of food was not good at all. Our the kids (4) did not enjoy their meals. The quality of the food seemed to be that we were given what was left before they close. My husband's Rice had the clumped burned rice from the bottom of the pot all throughout his meal. The chicken balls seemed to be fried twice and the spring roll was mushy for each of the 6 combos we ordered.
I'm not sure about the other 5 star ratings but we were very disappointed for the amount of money spent.

The food is consistently fantastic! Fresh and hot. We love the orange chicken with Rice and get extra egg rolls. The service is always friendly and welcoming.

This isn't the best or even authentic chinese food. But it is the best Americanized chinese food in town. Good prices, tasty food and amazing service. An Excellent choice for the undiscerning and uneducated palate as well as those that just want some uncomplicated comfort food. Their frontman is the best in town.

Tried this place tonight for the first time. The reviews were so great & so right. Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Hot, fresh & tasty. Sesame chicken was my fave. My order was slightly delayed but it gave me a chance to speak with the owner who was so friendly & gracious. Explaining all about his family business. But the reviews are also correct in that you need to get your order in very early. They’re very busy, which in these trying times is wonderful to hear. I look forward to my next order. It was delicious!

I have been going to Egg Roll King for 20 years now. Even though I didn't order for a few years, when I started to again they were just as amazing as the first time in grade 8. I love this place and am happy it is still around. The best Chinese food I have ever had in KW. Always hot, great portions and an amazing owner. Thanks for years of good memories

Tried this last night and as much as the portion sizes were fine, I ended up getting awful food poisoning. Definitely not getting food from here again.

I ordered for the first time last night from Egg Roll King based on the amazing reviews I read. I am here to say that every one of them was correct. The food was the best Chinese food i have ever had! The egg rolls were definitely the “King”. The service was spectacular. The restaurant clean and tidy and parking was right in front. Will definitely make this my go to Chinese from now on

The food was delicious! The egg rolls were so good. Would definitely recommend. There were a few little things that knocked off 1 star.

- They were not prepared for it to be so busy, despite it being a Saturday on the long weekend. Our delivery took 1.5 hours. They said it would take an hour when we called. We had to call again to check on it as it hadn't been delivered yet.
- They charge you to pay by card when it is delivered. The payment options are debit, Visa and Mastercard on their menu. It doesn't say that you are charged to pay that way.
- They use styrofoam containers which can not be recycled.

Just ordered from this place for the first time tonight and WOW. I'm glad I listened to the reviews. Amazing food, tastes fresh and flavourful. Great prices, the inside is relaxing and very clean. I ordered an egg roll last minute on top of my meal that was ordered for pick up. The man that took my order said it was no problem, had it done in 5 minutes and even came outside and brought it to my car. The service here is great, this place is definitely a hidden gem here in Kitchener. Will be going again that's for sure.

This place really is the king of egg rolls. I think the owner and his brother next door (Jimmy the barber) are some very cool guys. Try Egg Roll King, you won't be disappointed.

Wow. The food delivery was so slow. The egg rolls were not crisp, and their contents mushy. The shrimp was sparse and overcooked. The spare ribs were bland and tough. The sweet and sour pork was ketchup-y. The rice was something like I would make, not restaurant quality, and had shriveled corn in it. The chicken wings were salty and dry. Otherwise, it was great: -¿

Egg Roll King is exactly as advertised. These are the best egg rolls I've ever had! We always order like 20 of those little yummy pillows of joy. 10/10 I'll convince my girlfriend we need to order more than we did last time.

Not your average Chinese food joint. Always taste market fresh and served in large portions. I would suggest The King to anyone looking to hunker down and eat some good food. Try the spicy chicken or black bean beef.

Very good Thai with friendly service. I had the pad Thai and it was very flavourful and a large portion size. Shrimp were well cooked. The owner came by and met with our table which I really enjoyed. Discussed his plans as they were changing up the interior of the restaurant- what they had done so far was very nice and made the inside look more upscale.

I had high hope after reading the reviews and I order quite frequently from Chinese food joints. Though we were utterly disappointed with our food. Ordered combination plate 4 & 7. The egg roll/spring roll was good. The fried rice was okay (I’ll give 3/5). I couldn’t find any chowmin in fried chow.it was only Vegetables (I should have kept a picture). The chicken balls on SS was horrible I’m taste - the chicken piece was wrapped in fried dough and then dipped in SS sauce. It taste like chicken dumpling fried only. The sauce didn’t even go inside. We had to throw away the food because of its taste.
If this is what you are expecting as good food.then enjoy!

I love this place! Tony, where have you been all my life? The food here is amazing. It is made fresh. It is actually different from other chinese food places. Not those standard-issue chicken balls that you get everywhere. Tony seems to take a lot of pride in his food. He is very busy, so be prepared to have him ask you to call back if he is in a huge rush. It is worth the wait.

The food here is incredible. The egg rolls are delicious. I'd also highly recommend the flat noodles, Singapore noodles, and lemon chicken. Honestly, everything I've ever ate from here is awesome.

I used to eat here when I went to school close by because there was something about the rice and chicken balls that were so damn good.
17 years later and there's still something extra about the taste that sets it above the other places around. Not to mention the owner has a personality that adds to the experience of the restaurant.

Best damned chinese food in town, in our oppinion. The owner is kind and friendly and the service and food are so great that we have no problem leaving at least a $20 tip each time. My fiancee LOVES the wonton soup, and says "There's a reason they're called EggRollKing"!
