We've had an excellent experience each time we've visited the clinic with our cats! Dr. Chishti and his team have been caring and compassionate with us and our pets. Out cat Callie was also groomed by the groomer at the clinic and we're very happy with the level of care and expertise used by the groomer. We have been taking our Rottweiler, Loki to Dr. Chishti for the last 3years and couldn’t be happier! Dr. Chishti is kind and knowledgeable. Our dog needed stitches a few weeks ago and Dr. Chishti took care of him right away! We call him whenever we need anything and he’s always so considerate and accommodating. Highly recommend Dr. Chishti for your fur babies!

Brought my puppy here twice for shots. It’s been only a positive experience with the staff and veterinarian here. I have had bad experiences with other vet hospitals with my other dog so I’m very cautious now. The veterinarian spent more time with me going over all questions, concerns thoroughly. He is kind, compassionate and listens well. I will be transferring my other dog to this vet as well as I’m very pleased with the vet, the staff and how our puppy is being treated. We will be going back in one month to get the rest of my puppy’s shots. I find this clinic to be open and honest with there pricing which I appreciate as well. I also like their flexibility in scheduling.

Worst vet ever
This place just tries to get money out of you and will not fix or cure your pet …. They tend to just have you buy over price products like food an treats that your pet won’t like and it won’t fix whatever problem your pet has… my pet went there 2 years ago and after the time money and multiple visits they have done nothing that improves the pets health or condition.they also don’t care that what they claim should help does not help and will blame you when it’s not working!

We have four pets under his care.
The receptionists are super sweet and friendly. They always call to check up on the animals whenever they have something done in the office. In emergency events, we get seen on the same day, sometimes in less than 2 hours!
We appreciate that they care for our pets and don't try to get us to do unnecessary procedures.

We initially contacted the office for an emergency visit for our senior dog. They got us in within an hour, diagnosed him, explained their findings, and discussed treatment. We were ready to do anything for our old man. Dr. Chishti explained that while the tx *might* stabilize him, it would cause MORE harm due to the stress it would put on his already highly fragile body. It was such a stressful time, but Dr. Chishti helped us decide what was best for our dog and saved us money by not wasting it on something that was NOT guaranteed and would lead our dog to pass away without us.

Unless I move away or something drastic happens, I see my family pets being patients of Dr. Chishti and his staff for the foreseeable future!

They never answer the phone. I’ve called 8 times just to pick up food and their doors are always locked. They never have someone sitting that the desk in case someone needs to bring their pet or get items for their pet

I took my kitten for her first vet visit, the doctor was very nice and explained all her health needs to us in a easy manner. She had a quick time with the first round of vaccines! Overall a very pleasant experience

I had an extremly traumatic experience euthanizing my pet rat at Eglinton Mavis Veterinary Hospital. I have been a customer for over a year with Dr. Chishti stating that he was a rat expert only to find out that he actually tests on them in labs. After being scammed multiple times (including prescribing me 10x under the reccomended dose for my rats weight, prescribing me 14 days worth of medicine and there was less then a weeks worth and then telling me i must have spilt it, and proceeding to try and charge me for giving me the proper amount that was prescribed, charging me for non existant examinations and overall being extremely unknowedgable on rats) So I began seeing a new vet. Unfortunately on July 5 my rat declined and needed to be euthanized.this was an emergency and he was in alot of pain, my trusted vet is in barrie which is very far and I needed my baby to be seen immediately and Eglinton Mavis Veterinary Hospital was the only option.considering Dr. Chishti had seen my rats in the past I assumed at the very least my baby boy would have been shown decency and compassion. After calling to bool the appointment I called back to make sure i would be able to be with my boy until the end.asking if i will be able to be with him until he is gone and the receptionist said i could.during the appointment I was told by Dr. Chishti that I could not be with my baby while he get put down and that the receptionist didnt know what she was talking about.while I felt that i was having a panic attack during this news of not being able to be with my boy after specifically calling to ask that. I was then yelled at my the receptionist who called me a liar and stated if i should have asked if i could be present for euthanasia specifically. Considering the vet has been open to customers coming inside the consult rooms for over 6 months since covid restrictions lifted it seemed common sense that I would be in the "exam room" and as i stated i wanted to be with him until the end it seemed more than clear what i was asking. I then took some time to recuperate outside with my dad in the car as i felt that I was having a panic attack and when i went back in I was told Dr. Chishti wouldn't see me because of how I acted. It took near 15 minutes for my boy to finally pass.sitting on a cold metal table in a gas chamber alone. Dr. Chishti walks past my room while I am hysterically crying and states "wow its taking a long time for a little rat to go". I felt sickened and disgusted by the entire experience.thanks to the staff who made an already gut wrenching and devastating experience all the more horrific.let me now discuss billing. I was charged $ 150 examination fee- for Dr. Chishti to come in the room take a look at my boy and say "yea it looks like hes dying" and leave. On a normal basis when he is actually checking my rats and diagnosing them I am charged 62 dollers per exam. I was charged 175$ for euthanasia to put to sleep a 470 gram rat.during the time while he was telling me pricing i told him it was crazy to he charging 175 to put to sleep my tiny rat and not even be able to be present.so I was given 75$ off.after picking up my urn i came back with a previous bill and the euthanasia bill and was given a 75$ compensation im assuming for the ludacris 150 exam fee and horrible treatment of me and my baby. I was scared to write this review until after I got my urn for fear of them tampering with it or withholding it from me. This is the most disgraceful and unprofessional Veterinary clinic that i have ever been to and I would never trust a fur baby with them again.

Would not ever return here or recommend anyone that loves their pet to have them treated here. The vet mr Chisti is not to be trusted. He lied to me several times, did not provide adequate care and does not have compassion for animals. He swayed me into treating my dog here as I was unshure and skeptical from the other reviews, and I can honestly say I’ve had the same experience so I can relate. I brought my dog Tiger in for abcess bloodwork and testing. He told me it was a tumor and needed to be removed. He estimated the cost to be around $800, and then charged me $1500 and did not test the abscess and only did minimal bloodwork. He asked for bloodwork results from the Mississauga Oakville Emergency Veterinary and specialty hospital and was speaking bad about them and the medicines they gave and said it was “incorrect”. (I had a third veterinarian check and assure me this was not true). Then he told me he didn’t know what the tumor was and I found out later from another vet that it was a mast cell tumor which is common in dogs like Tiger and for her age. Furthermore I was told to come back for suture removal and I told him I was uncomfortable with leaving my dog alone with him and he coaxed me inside and had me wait in another room and took my dog to the back. She came out looking different and I felt something was off. Ever since she left from there she in not the same. I now suspect she is sick with something else, she is sick and has had diarrhea ever since she left. She is otherwise really healthy and has been seen numerous times by Mississauga Oakville emergency which I do highly recommend and had no other issues. I am really upset at how we were treated and when I consulted mr Chisti he took no fault, said”your dog could have gotten sick anywhere” and denied any wrong doing. There have been numerous other complaints some of which are very recent as well and the clinic responded that you are allowed in with your pet but I was not. And the way they did it was sneaky and indirect not at all professional. I am very disturbed and disappointed with what happened. They don’t care about your pet don’t make the same mistake I did. Go somewhere you feel safe and you know they genuinely care. There have been numerous reviews that keep getting deleted. I’m posting this to show awareness that these things can happen here and to be careful and take a further look into what is actually going on

We have been going to Dr. Chishti since we have got our dog. The clinic is very clean and the staff is friendly as well. Dr. Chishti is very efficient and gives the right solution for any problems. We went to him 2 weeks ago as Loki was making a choking noise, we were worried.
Doctor patiently heard all symptoms and suggested medicines for him. Loki is doing great now. I would definitely suggest this clinic for other fur babies.

I trust Dr. Chisti completely, as he is very knowledgeable, and trustworthy. He only runs tests when really needed for the well being of my pet, and he takes the time to explain the pros and cons of the procedure. Through his expertise, he has been able to help me take care of my three cats and solve any issues that arose (without a great deal of cost). He clearly loves animals and his profession. His receptionists are very warm and empathetic as well.

It’s been two months since I’ve got my pup home and I must say, having Dr. Chishti has been the biggest blessing. On multiple occasions Doctor has made himself available to treat my puppy, be it during work hours or even recently in an emergency post working hours. Dr. Chishti and his team are so warm & cordial and provide utmost care to your pet friend just as you would. The team including Doctor himself frequently follow up on the well-being of my pup and that’s what comforts me the most. It’s always nice to know that my pup has a medical team watching out for her and it’s extremely comforting as an owner to have a team this professionally sound to back me through my journey of being a new pet mom. My experience has been the best and if there’s someone I can blindly trust with the well-being of my pup, it would be Dr. Chisthi. Thank you so much!

We called to make an appointment and let the front desk know that we had a cat that didn't enjoy visits at the vet and it was difficult to examine her. The receptionist let me know that she had 20+ years dealing with various cats and dogs and it shouldn't be an issue. When my husband returned with our cat from the visit, I found out that giving our cat 2 shots of anesthesia without informing us that it would cost us an additional $165 was how they handled her. Our cat had a broken nail which caused infection and a general check up, cleaning and bandaging with anesthesia ended up costing nearly $400 dollars. I find that outrageous for a simple nail infection. My husband did say the staff were kind and helpful. However I dont think it justifies adding all these additional costs without prior notification and consent first.

Edit: The $36 dollars for the bandaging was done poorly and fell off the first 30 minutes after our cat got home.

I thank my lucky star that I have found Dr Chisht. Amazing vet one of the best so far. My baby dog had surgery today. I knew she was I good hands. Amazing place. Staff are all so friendly. And you can tell he really loves what he does. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The environment and the staff are really nice and amazing. It was my first time and also my first pet, the staff here guided me really well. The care and attention they gave to my kitten was outstanding, and very friendly. There approach was beyond my expectations. I am very satisfied and very happy with this Clinic.

I have been taking my 10 month old puppy to Dr. Chishti right since we got him home. I have an absolutely brilliant experience at Eglinton Mavis Veterinary Hospital. The staff and the Doctors here are absolutely marvellous. They’ve taken care of my kitten since the day I brought him home - they are extremely kind, responsive, and very helpful.

I trusted them to neuter my cat, do his checkups, and give him his shots. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my pet, they’ve become like family taking care of my little guy.

Visited the clinic for my Tataro, my bunny. All staff members were very courteous, helpful, understanding and professional.

Dr Chisti highly professional in his field, consult his clients in depth with all the options to the satisfactions and don’t let one feel to be stranded with any questions remaining. Very understanding and open to discuss and give professional advice.

This is my first visit today with my one year old dog. He was limping so I décide de to bring him in. With no blood tests or x-rays the doctor was able to diagnose him within 30 seconds and Said that he will need surgery in both his back knees. This doctor must be an amazing witch doctor to know what is wrong with my dog just by feeling him.
I paid him for examining him and I am not going to be attending his services based on all the negative comments I’ve read.

Great veterinary hospital! The workers took immediate care of my pet. The store was very clean and organized. All employees followed COVID protocol. I will definitely be returning for future checkups, grooming and any other services needed for my pet! Great experience with Dr. Chisti and staff!

DON’T GO HERE IF YOU WANT QUALITY CARE. TERRIBLE VET! Very expensive, over priced for nothing literally nothing uses covid19 as an excuse to do less work so he can hide behind his doors and pretend he’s actually doing work and caring for your pets. Hard to understand and very rude. Only cares about the money and it’s not even worth it. Go somewhere else and actually get proper care and understanding and not get ripped off!

SHAME ON YOU AND YOUR STAFF FOR DECEIVING PETS OWNER, we been a regular client for this clinic for years and we always get to see Dr. G, we called in the other day to make an appointment and asked specifically to see him as usual, they booked us in and sure their doors were closed because of the Covid, so we didn't get to meet the vet, shortly after they took our cat in, a nurse is calling me asking for my permission to run expensive testing which I approved it, few minutes later I had to pay over than $ 900 for the cost of these unnecessary tests and lots of medication to take home, that's without telling what's wrong with our cat.looking into their invoice, doesn't look the same, found out a little discount item for a new ownership, then I called the clinic back and started to question them, the nurse who answered got very nervous and spoke with a shaky voice, telling that clinic is sold out and Dr. G doesn't work here anymore.seriously you telling me that after you charged me an arm and leg for this visit!
why you don't be professional and tell people upfront about this whole new situation, we will never be back again.on top of that, our cat got worse on their medication and had to take her to the emergency hospital.stay away from this sketchy vet.

I am heart broken to read reviews similar to my experience, I have been going to this vet since I had my 2 cats (approx 6 years) they tried to hustle me to pay for extensive testing and tried to scare me into thinking my cat had a tumour. He does not, he was suffering from an allergic reaction. They wanted to sedate him and do a procedure with a biopsy for the testing which was close to $900.

I chose not to sedate my cat and they sent me home with a $300 bill, some antibiotics and gave my boy Loki a shot for the allergies. Thankfully my friend who is a vet in Oakville was advising me as well and she agreed that the clinic should not have had such an extreme reaction, she suggested some blood work should have been suggested before any procedures.

In my experience, they prey on distressed pet owners, this happened to me once before as well about 1 year ago. Loki had a bad hairball and it scared me. Dr. G gave me the same song and dance saying it could be something serious and we should do all this testing. I came back thinking it was a one time thing, but they did it again.

After reading the reviews, I wonder if Loki even saw Dr. G, considering I was not able to go in with him due to covid-19. I am not sure what happened to this clinic but major disappointment.

I have been taking my cat Bruno to Dr. Chishti since day one. Dr. Chishti is been a great help whenever we needed him, his prices are amazing, the service he provides is the greatest so far and the best thing is my Cat Bruno gets along with him. I highly recommend Dr. Chishti, for anyone who is looking for a vet with knowledge, patience, professionalism and friendly. By the way, they got an excellent process going on for COVID-19.

My experience in this clinic is 5y ago when Dr. G treated my cat. Safe to say I don’t take my cats here anymore. This clinic is super expensive and offer subpar treatment. The visit was very textbook and didn’t offer much. Only reason why I’m leaving a review now is because I recently had to get the same treatment for my cat at another clinic and the price here 5y ago is still way more expensive than today’s price at the other vet.

Excellent veterinary services! I have my 4 cats under their care and I am very pleased! They answer the email messages super fast, are always available to answer any question and the most important, in my opinion, they are compassionate and caring!

Definitely the best vet we've found. We have two two-year-old Great Danes. It's hard to find a good vet and vet techs that can actually handle Great Danes and are familiar with the breed and their health issues. Dr. G was the first one we found (and we shopped around a lot) that hit all of these points for us. The dogs love him, and all the techs!

Our boy had a particularly tough neutering on account of him being so large. The healing process was taking a very long time because just sitting down was a challenge. Dr. G continued to see him multiple times a week to ensure that everything was going smoothly even taking him in for overnight observation on at least one occasion.

We've seen many vets over the years but Dr. G and his team at Eglinton Mavis Veterinary are the only ones we've recommend to other dog/Great Danes owners.

Don’t be fooled by the very few low-baller reviews which I find disconcerting as I have had nothing but a perfect experience at this clinic. I got Nelly’s shots and spay done here and the staff were so kind and patient. You can feel the love.

Even for a shot, the vet gave a thorugh checkup. The spay was done perfectly and the whole process was easily explained to me. The techs there are sweethearts! Dr. Gobriel is a gem as well as the female vet whose name I cannot recall.

At the end of each visit, I always got a follow up email or call about how Nelly was doing. That shows commitment and care in what they do! I love that follow-up touch.

I got a nice welcome package with goodies and useful docs when Nelly got her first shot.
