Eglinton Station Medical Centre

This was my go to walkin clinic. The receptionists are welcoming and helpful, I'm very disappointed with a particular doctor that has not been any help for me and is very rude. I have never had any issues with this clinic before until I had this doctor.she is very unprofessional, not supportive, not prepared, and to be honest her approach seems super nice and calm but once your are in the office with her she is completely a different person. I'm traumatized! I need to mention that this Dr. Shokri.

I was hesitant to come to this clinic because of the bad reviews, but I'm glad I took my chances. The receptionist and Dr. Shokri are very professional.

I felt that my new Dr. Wasn't very nice to me and the way she treated me was like really not so nice ya I will be looking out in the future for a new Dr if that is what she wants because my special needs and medical attention is being ignored etc. That's not how a Dr should treat their client to rush them into appointments and say my health is declining and getting worse and there's nothing to be solved to do about it because I am a sensitive individual and need to be looked after and the correct form and be accepted if forms need to be signed etc. Just need the right respect thanks and take care

The doctors are amazing, reception is amazing. I used to see Dr Warren who is amazing. I now see Dr Shokri who is amazing. Dr Kavousi - Amazing.

HOWEVER - they will force you to book an in-person appointment just to get prescription refills. It's extremely, extremely annoying and frankly quite predatory imo. They justify it by saying that it's so they can confirm you need the meds still etc. But they will also just do it if you pay them. So is it for the patient's sake, or is it for money? To me this is wasting both the patient's time, and the tax payer's dollar. If they offered free and hassle-free prescription renewals they would be 5 stars in my eyes, easily.

Hurt my foot and showed up there without an appointment. They went out of their way to squeeze me in. The reception lady was very helpful. Extremely satisfied with the professionalism of the physician at this walk in clinic. Had an Xray for my foot and the doc promptly called as soon as she received the result. Thank you.

This was my first time at Eglinton Station Medical Centre and I had a nice experience. The staff were cordial. Dr. Yang was thorough in her examination and addressed all my concerns. I would recommend Eglinton Station Medical Centre.

I’ve had nothing but lovely experiences here as a patient. The receptionists are patient and always helpful and my doctor is efficient, knowledgeable and kind.

Shut this place down immediately they are not equipped to be a walk in clinic. Went there to see a doctor and was greeted with a hilarious note on the door that they have doctors only Monday and Wednesday and you need to book a week in advance. What a joke. There is no way to give zero stars but if there was it would be zero. Why would anyone want medical assistance from staff who don’t even know the definition of walk in clinic.

This is not a walk-in. I went on Friday and they said they had no doctors working today. Do not walk-in like I did.

Dr. Singh has been my family doctor since 2008 after he came highly recommended by my then roommate. He was at a clinic downtown. Fast forward 14 years and he is now my husband’s family doctor, as well as a few young family friends who all enjoy Dr. Singh’s care.
While the Yonge/Eg area appears to be in a perpetual state of construction, visiting Dr. Singh is the easiest, most calming part of that trip. He listens, refers you to the best, and does his best to research the tough stuff.

Our family doctor (Dr. Warrens) left without any notice and for more than two years, we don’t have family doctors. Also, in the meantime when I was there as a walk-in, they told me go back on another day at early morning and on that day they told me we don’t accept walk-in and go somewhere else. Not friendly and respectful.

I've had 0 issues with this centre. The doctors have all been respectful and attentive. Dr.lui is my GP and she is great! She validates your concerns and addresses them. They book same day appointments. Yes you do wait 30-40 minutes sometimes before your appointment, but that's not them disrespecting your time- that's the nature of healthcare. Some appts take longer than expected etc. Would you prefer they rush an elder out of the room so you don't wait 30 minutes? It happens.

Dr Lui is one of those "here take this prescription" type doctors that doesn't take your concerns seriously and thinks she knows everything which she clearly doesn't. I find her to be one of the more unethical doctors I've met.

My family doctor at Eglinton Station Medical Centre retired over 1.5 yrs ago and the clinic has not hired a replacement yet. Poor customer service and very long timelines for basic requests.

Dr. Yang is amazing! She takes her time to address all concerns thoroughly with zero judgement! She even facetimed me to check out a skin issue I was having, she really goes above for her patients. The reception staff are great too, I find emailing for appointments works best. They answer pretty quickly. I always get same day appointments.

My experiences here were all very negative due to the receptionists. They are always rude, unhelpful and have a condescending attitude towards patients.

Been coming here for year and half and I find the doctors here are polite and do there job well. Notably Dr. Elena last name Im not sure how to spell, she is very detailed and through more than other Doctors I find. This clinic has lot of great features to it, the receptionists not so much. Its these 2 ladies, not professional, rude and not helpful. God forbid you ask any basic question. Hey this ultrasound form has location on it can I take it somewhere else closer to home, no sir you have to ask the doctor I cant give you medical advise sir, you have to book another appointment w doctor can you come in couple days. Another patient spoke up and answered my question. Also w appointments or anything at all you can tell they are not friendly or in anyway enthusiastic or compassionate about their work or helping people. And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Trust me it can get little annoying dealing w it everytime you go there. You can be polite to them but what you get in return your playing roulette. Only reason I put up w it is cause I've 2 mins away.

Receptionists are extremely rude and inefficient. The clinic is not organized. If you want to go there I hope that your condition is not urgent. I am still waiting for my prescription who was supposed to be sent via email. I will need to follow up and call them.

I've been going to this medical centre for almost three years now and never had any major issues. Everyone is nice and friendly and tries to do their best for all patients.

I totally agree with receptionists are extremely rude and have no sense of compassion or privacy. You guys are keep saying people should understand because there's alot of work or some of situations. But all I hear is excuses. How receptionists response and how they talk is completely different from being busy. Yes maybe it can stresses them and talk in tones but you are working in the environment where you can't talk so rude to people like that. It comes with their job and need to able to handle how to talk to people. I work as a nurse and I would never ever talk to the patients like that EVER. Like overall it's their tone. How they speak is super unfriendly and unpleasant hear. Also they have no compassion or privacy. People come to see doctor because something wrong. Why are you asking so many questions? I felt like I'm going through an interrogation or something. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

The doctors are great to talk to; the receptionists are very irksome to interact with.

The receptionists don't do their jobs properly and when mishaps happen, they immediately blame the patients in order to avoid any responsibility. What a bunch of clowns!

Truly horrible feeling when it happens.

Unless you are a subhuman and have very low dignity, sooner or later you would run into situations which makes you feel horrible, just as I did.

Why not save yourself some trouble and find another walk-in clinic for long term visit? Some extra commute just for the sake of your dignity.

Such a disorganized place. My wife and I had an appointment booked and confirmed with a week in advance. We arrived on time as scheduled, the the front desk said we had no appointment. We showed the confirmation E-mail sent by this health clinic, and they looked at us and said “sorry”. Such a horrible treatment. I don’t recommend this place at all.

The wait is long of course, but that's standard for a walk in clinic in this area. That said, I had a very positive experience with the doctor who seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. Receptionist was also quite friendly with me despite what I've read here. Again, go as early as possible. I arrived a few minutes before it opened but I still had to wait about an hour. Use the stairs since the elevators don't work before 8.

I walked in there very sick and looking for help and they instantly turned me away hours before they closed stating they werent doing "walk ins" A very sketchy place.

Very unhappy to visit there. I had terrible condition on my arm, and they just cut me off because of doctor has to go home. Still an hour left and it was Saturday. The receptionist said come on Monday. How come she can said to patient who needs medical help immediately. I came at the same time with the other patient and she just cut me off even if she accept the other patient. Don't go there. They more care doctors rather than patients.

I have never seen a doctor who say's I can't examine an infant because he is crying! When the my son started to cry he waited for a moment if the kid stops crying but he didn't so, he said I can't do anything for you. Is this the standard in Canada or just this physician?

Really wonderful and attentive doctors. I’ve been coming here for a few years and appreciate all their help. The facility is clean, modern, and fresh.

Little warning, the receptionists are very unfriendly. Basic etiquette is not practiced and they’ve even recorded my contact information wrong in the past resulting in lost test results. Zero apology.

I recommend coming here just be aware that the receptionists are not indicative of the care you’ll receive,

Dr was very professional and thorough. Receptionist underestimated the wait time for me a bit, but was friendly and it is a walk-in clinic so I expected to wait. Since it is a walk-in clinic and there will be wait times, I don't understand the low reviews when what matters is the quality of medical care you receive, and the dr takes the time to figure out your issue.

This 1 star is because of the very cold and rude receptionist that I encountered today. This clinic could be so much better with a friendly face to greet the people that go there when they are unwell. It's unfortunate - but I left there without any help.

I don't think there is much point given how many 1 star these guys have. Arrived before closing and got turned away. Reception called to ask to show up before closing for x ray results, but yet get turn away to come back the next day.

Unhelpful and unprofessional.

Dr. Lui was nice but going here is like taking a time machine back in the wild west. They rely on outdated research and don't know anything about fairly common conditions or how to treat them. Throwing psychotropic drugs at pain conditions is irresponsible and dangerous medical practice. They use the default "it's stress" diagnoses, rather than doing the slightest bit of research by reputable publications. I came out of my experience here being very ill for over 2 years.

Receptionist was absolutely rude. No compassion or kindness. She obviously hates her job - shouldn't be working in any sector of health care. If you want to be treated with disrespect then sure, go to this clinic.

What is the point to make an appointment with your family doctor if all the time I am waiting more than 30 min after my time of appointment. Please fix your schedule of appointments. Do not come to this location. They said it's first come first served, but it was a lie. Walkin physician was taking patients who came after me. Ended up waiting over 2.5 hours. I'll not recommend this location to anyone.

I've been here a couple of times as a walk in patient. I've had Dr. Kulczycki twice and he's great. Quick service but not in a way I felt rushed and not listened to, unlike some other doctors at this location.

Most of doctors here are very professional and caring.
However, receptionists are quite rude
No greetings, busy talking to each other, looking at you as if their conversation was interrupted.
I am not sure if they realize that they are at work, not a coffee shop

Terrible service. Doctor acted as if he was in a hurry. Wouldn't let me get a word out to explain my symptoms and the appt time was rushed which left me without the correct course of action and I got worse. DO NOT GO
