I walked from the Bridge Manitoba St; Bracebridge, on both sides today and this restaurant; is by far the cleanest and the glass everything sparkling ️. I found my new payday place to dine.

Outstanding service! Delicious authentic food! A joyous atmosphere! I would highly recommend this restaurant - one of my favourite spots I've ever dined at. The staff and owner are a delight!

Cute spot with fantastic service and even more fantastic food! We got margaritas, the fish ceviche, guac, birria tacos and the chicken flautas. Everything was delicious! Will definitely visit here again next time we’re in Bracebridge or the surrounding area, not just for the food and drinks, but to be able to wear the sombreros while dining Hope to be back again soon!

The food was delicious! Great flavours and had decent portions. Nachos and guacamole were delicious! And the churros - to die for. Pricy, but mostly worth it. I had high expectations for the classic margarita but was quite disappointed in the fact there was sprite in it. Just not classic margarita flavour and seemed like a filler.

Excellent authentic Mexican on Main St Bracebridge. Really enjoyed, including the guava Margherita. Lots of gf options.

Recommended by local friends, we went at around 5: 30pm Saturday night (8 July 2023). Ordered the Guacamole con Totopos, Carne Asada Burrito, Birria de Res Tacos, and Churros. Portion sizes were decent, lots of filling for the burrito - decent sized steak bites throughout. One can taste cilantro in every bite, a bonus for cilantro lovers. Taco meat (beef) was tender and had good flavour, decent amount compared to other restaurants. Busy but no line ups.

O M G. Run don’t walk. This restaurant delivers nothing but flavour and freshness. I have literally never had a bad meal here. The staff is friendly and helpful. If I could I’d eat their food every day. It’s still fresh and amazing when you get take out. Do not miss your opportunity to eat here:)

The first time we came everything was amazing. But this second time the food was very different. We ordered a tortilla soup and it only had 3 chips and I’m Mexican so I know how a tortilla soup is supposed to be. We also ordered enchiladas de mole and the menu says it comes with 4 enchiladas, my plate had only 3 and the rest was filled with rice and it’s $23.00 the plate so you would expect to be served the way it says it’ll be.
My husband ordered the birria soup and it was pretty much only the stew with barely no meat and kinda plain.

The only good thing was the horchata water.

The place is always clean and the staff is friendly. But the food this time was disappointing.

This was one of the best dinning experiences I have had in a long time! The Atmosphere here was so colourful fun and inviting! Our server was knowledgeable and helped us navigate the menu. The food was bang on. If you are a dessert person ask for the churros and the tequila cake, it was life changing. Treat yourself to a margarita, they are big and so flavourful. I asked for a spicy rim which I recommend. I wish I lived in Bracebridge and could make this a weekly experience:)

A few dishes feature their fish-of-the-day, which was pickerel for the ceviche and tacos during our summer visit. Marinated and cured in an acid of lime and tomatoes, the fish takes on a pink hue in the ceviche ($16) and has the taste of a lighter Arctic char. It’s wonderfully fresh, either by itself or scooped onto a crispy thin tortilla chip, the citrus acid nicely balanced with a hint of heat.

The starter just needed more salt. In fact, all their dishes need more seasoning. Perhaps El Pueblito is trying to respect an ingredient’s natural flavours or cater to Bracebridge’s older demographic, but everything needed an extra hit of salt to finish the dish – maybe they should just leave some at each table.

The same pickerel tasted completely different in the fish tacos ($20), once lightly grilled and topped with pineapple salsa. Since the fish isn’t deep fried and there’s not a typical slaw topping, the tacos are soft; I wish there was a crunchy element to provide textural interest – even some finely chopped bell peppers and red onion would be great.

Still, the tacos were tasty – the corn tortillas chewy and fresh, and the spicy mayo and tomatillo salsa great condiments for the dish. The refried beans were rich and smooth, lovely on its own or smooshed into the rice. The grains get even better once you add in consommé and chopped onions (from the birria tacos). In the end, the fish tacos are a little soft but at least they’re not messy to eat.

Consequently, the complete opposite experience of having a birria taco ($20). Stuffed with beef and deep fried, these arrive blistering hot and need to be wrapped in a tissue to dunk. Having seen many people have the dish at food trucks, it’s a wonder how anyone isn’t covered in consommé and grease without a proper table and dishware. If you’re ordering these, it’s best not to wear white.

The slowly cooked beef was plentiful and tender, but because under seasoned meat and consommé, we couldn’t help feel that the birrias were missing something. I was waiting for a flavourful explosion to erupt, only to be met with a slow-moving stream of lava. The flavours improved once we added tons of the raw onion, cilantro, and avocado into the crispy hot taco, a few sparks in the lava stream.

Saving room for churros ($10 for 6) is essential. When our server asked us whether we wanted six or ten of the pastries, I thought it must be a rehearsed question as why would two people need more than six? One bite into the hot hollow logs of fried dough and we were hooked. Dusted with cinnamon sugar they were already delicious, but a dunk into a creamy thick not-overly-sweet caramel and the dessert was absolutely sublime. Yeah, so maybe we could have devoured ten.

Literally the most authentic Mexican -just beware of longer wait times! Good is totally worth the wait though! Keep it up

I had the vegan tacos and the lime mocktail. Both were excellent. The decor and service were good. I'm glad we got there a 6pm, as there was a queue of diners waiting when we left.

Some of the best Mexican food and drinks I’ve had in a while. The margaritas were delicious as well as their chips and guac. Our server was very sweet, bubbly and helpful. We had to wait a little, but they were very accommodating.

Such good good! We enjoyed it ur tacos and the quesadillas with chicken, best ones Ive ever had! Definitely coming back when in the area!

It was a pleasant experience dining at El Pueblito. The look of the place made us feel that it was brand new and was surprised to know that it was started in 2007! Unlike most of the old restaurants here in Canada, this one didn't smell bad. The food was delicious, the servers were courteous and the service was fast! I would recommend this place to any one who is looking for a tasty, authentic, healthy Mexican food!

Amazing Mexican! Staff was super friendly and welcoming, especially since we rolled in at 8: 45pm on a Friday just before the kitchen closed. The food was top notch authentic and the mole chicken was amazing. Also the margs are on point!

We were staying in town and popped in here for dinner because they mentioned gluten-free options. My husband and I loved the atmosphere, the food was amazing and very authentic, and the drinks were delicious!

The prices were a little on the pricey side, but the food absolutely made up for it. The barría burrito was one of the most delicious burritos I've ever had, and their tequila cake was extremely good. The customer service was alright and the place was nice and clean. Overall, expensive but worth it.

This is some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Ontario. Definitely have to finish off the meal with their churros!

Very nice place, great ambience, some unique Mexican artwork all over, food was very delicious and fresh. They even make their own cheese and other things. Very beautiful for a small town. Excellent service. Try their churros, one of the best I have ever had. They almost melt away

This place is phenomenal! If I could give it 4.9 stars I would. The portions are absolutely giant, the presentation is beautiful, it is absolutely super delicious, and it's a nice change from our usual options in Bracebridge. Plus, they have Gluten Free options! I go to the restaurant a few times a year, and these facts are always true! Again, 5 stars on all of the above. The only two complaints I have are the hours and the timing for dining. These, mind you, are likely both related to staffing issues. I would go to the restaurant all the time (probably weekly!) for takeout and dine-in at lunch, much more frequently than dinner, however they are open late in the afternoon through dinner. The other small one is that it does take a very long time to get drink and food orders while dining in. Plan to be there well over an hour. We are usually about an hour and a half. This is totally fine for a girls night or long-time catch up, not ideal for a date night with kids waiting at home or for your general weeknight dinner out.

Amazing meal. There is so much flavour in the dishes they serve. I can’t say enough about how fabulous our experience was. Go early, gets super busy.

Me and my wife went. Had some really good margaritas and some amazing dishes I had the empanada she had the burrito. They were both fantastic. We also got the churros for dessert and they were spectacular.

Wow. This authentic Mexican restaurant did everything right and reminded me of the food I loved when I lived in Mexico. Their various takes on margaritas are fun and punchy, and our three-course meal (pickerel ceviche, carne asada tacos, tres leches de dulce cake soaked in tequilas and churros) was deliciously perfect. Many gluten-free options! Make a reservation if you don't want to wait a long time on the sidewalk; when the food is that good, we're not surprised it's popular!

Place that stands upto it's name. Everything from the smallest details of cutlery to interior is all Mexican themed. A must try local place

The food was really amazing and was shocked to know that they make all salads, sauces and every item on menu is from in house make except for meat. Loved the place and a good one in the locality.

Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the bracebridge area and looking for quality food. We ordered the Tacos - Tinga de Pollo and the Enchiladas estilo Celaya and finished it off with the Churros. Will be back for sure

Had to stop by my favourite restaurant in Bracebridge yesterday. Fresh, delicious, authentic Mexican food served by friendly, attentive staff. This photo shows our starter and I also had an Enchiladas estilo Celaya with chicken and mole, which was a great choice. I love the food so much that I also ordered a burrito with spicy beef Birria to take home to Toronto. Amazing and better than any burrito I can get in Toronto! Can't wait for my next visit to Bracebridge to try other items from the menu!

This is one of those places you won't quickly forget. It has a fun atmosphere and the staff and owner couldn't have been nicer. Their spin on the margarita had a nice kick of heat and the food was authentic and delicious. The next time we are in the Muskoka's, we will definitely be stopping in.

This is my favorite restaurant, the staff are always very kind and the food tastes great. My favorite combination is a hibiscus margarita paired with the floutas de papas! The owner is extremely nice and always welcomes me back, she knows my order every time I see her! It is a wonderful place to enjoy and relax. I look forward to going again!

Absolutely incredible again! The drinks (mango Margherita) the chips w pico del gallo, the guacamole and the flautas were fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious! Owner is incredible and so sweet. Service is amazing. Best meal I have had since I was there last time thank you for a wonderful experience!

I cannot count how many times I have been there because it is so numerous. Cannot say enough great things about this place! Food is homemade and amazing each and every time I have come in. Staff are nice and has a warm bright atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Amazing traditional Mexican food with very friendly customer service! Marlenne was amazing helping me and my friends to select something to our taste from the menu – I had a birria and it was perfect for the cold evening after work! A must-go in Bracebridge/Muskoka.

The portions were BIG and very tasty. They also have a fantastic cocktail menu and the staff are very knowledgeable of the food. So much flavour and great atmosphere. Not sure how but you must leave room for the churros too!

Excellent food. Okay service. Though as one of the earlier recommendations, be careful with what you get. They served beef emplanadas despite asking for vegetarian. Beef could be challenging for many who don't eat it. I saw it as a genuine mistake and they replaced it but this could offend many.
Now coming all the way from Texas, we found the food comparable or even better in many parameters. Please validate what is in your table with what you have ordered and then eat. Otherwise food is quite amazing.

The best authentic Mexican food this side of Mexico. Everything is homemade and the portion sizes are huge. The owners and staff are amazing. Everyone is always friendly and the customer service is excellent. Definitely a must try if you are in Bracebridge.

Such fresh food every time we go, one of our favourite spots in Muskoka. Lots of vegan options as well, which is so nice as there is definitely a lack of in Muskoka. Service is always friendly as well.

Popped into this place after work at the perfect time.
Seated right away. Few minutes later, line up at front door. It looked like the owners were serving tables. Our meal came quickly after ordering. Food was AMAZING! I don't know what I ordered but it was so good. Prices are not cheap but also not expensive. You get what you pay for and this was well worth the money spent.

We had a great time at El Pueblito, the staff were excellent almost over friendly and helpful, if thats a thing. The food is all made there with fresh ingredients. We each loved our meals, from the margarits & beer, to the salsa and taco appetizer, main meal were the tinga burrito and they had mole pobleno then topped with desserts. The good was fresh and delicious. During covid, like most restaurants, they are also short staffed. It was a long wait to get in, but once you're seated the drinks and appetizer arrives quickly, just the way I prefer.

Stand outside in the freezing rain for nearly 60 minutes without anyone to receive you on a Saturday is the norm.garbage customer service.servers just standing inside going over their own tracks. Will not eat here after this wonderful event. Good luck.

Came here with family once. Ordered food. Most of the food ordered was very underwhelming for what many would expect from an Mexican restaurant in terms of food. The one thing saving me from giving this place 1 star was their chips, which were quite good, but most everything else was not.

No comment on the food, because I didn't get the opportunity to eat here, but waited in town an hour super excited to eat at an authentic sounding Mexican restaurant, however they didn't open until 3. There is a sign asking you to wait outside at the patio, which they obviously can't see from inside. At 3: 15 we popped our head in the door, and were asked again to wait outside. I said no problem, but I had my 3 year old and she needed to use the bathroom. I was told she would be with me when they were ready. I repeated again that that was fine but my daughter needed a bathroom. Was again told that she would come get me when they were ready. When she came out I mentioned that I thought it was very odd when we were planning on eating there that we can't use the bathroom. At this point she finally let me know that apparently they were being cleaned and thats why we couldn't use it. No apology, just I have to understand they can't let me use the bathroom when they are being cleaned. I didn't know they were being cleaned, because she didn't tell me, just kept telling me to wait outside! I understand if you are behind, but when you post your opening time as 3pm, you should be ready for customers. Another lady ordered take out for 3pm and at the same time as us was told it was going to be another 20 minutes. Maybe it was an off day, but honestly one of the weirdest customer service responses I have ever received, so we just left.

A nice variety to the menu, can be a little pricey compared to fast food, but fairly authentic. Decent service, well worth a visit if you have that craving, outdoor dining available.

Amazing service with authentic mexican food. This was our second visit and the food and service were both exactly the same like before. The staff is very friendly and the food is great.

First time here and was extremely disappointed. Every dish was a poor representation of Mexican culture, taste of their food. I had the fish tacos and a lot of bones I almost choked. When I mentioned it to our server was just an apology but didn’t offer to take it off the bill. I will never go here again.

Wonderful Staff, very kind, had the Enchiladas which I have had many times in Mexico and other Mexican restaurants and found them very small almost like Taquitos as well as cruncher shell then expected but still good.

Went for lunch in the winter, so it was a bit quiet but a wonderful Mexican experience in Downtown Bracebridge. Authentic Mexican food, wonderful friendly service. Will certainly be back.

Our first visit was a wonderful surprise; delicious authentic food, cheerful atmosphere, and the owner is a delightful and attentive server. Homemade tortilla chips are delicious, everything is fresh and there's plenty of choice. Portions are large enough that some people might want to share for lunch.

This is a five star restaurant (6 if I could)! Everything is noteworthy. The women who served us was so nice, accomodating, professional and fun; "have a drink, it's 4 o'clock in Mexico! " Haha. We really appreciated the ability to customize every dish to our preferred level of spice that we wanted. Her mix of a little bit of Spanish when talking really added to the experience. The food is some of the best I have had, Mexican or otherwise! The taste was so layered and the presentation was delightful. Serving sizes were generous. The restaurant is so clean and thoughtfully decorated. Go here for lunch or dinner!

By far the best Mexican food we have ever had. My husband spent a few months in Mexico, and he was blown away with the food. Wish every restaurant had servers like this. She greeted us with a wonderful smile, informative, funny, all around 1 of the best we have ever had. Don’t wait years like we did to try this amazing restaurant.

I am Mexican and I LOVED that the servers knew the Mexican names of some dishes. I have to say that the flavor is sooo authentic that it made me feel like home. Everyone is so nice here! GRACIAS!

Excellent food, charming service and a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options. A go-to for get-togethers when I'm in the area.

This restuarant was amazing. They had the most friendly staff and such a huge selection. I'd recommend based on that. My only issue is it's hard to customize anything
