Sometimes simplicity is the way to go. The food was tasty, the portions were large, and the staff was so friendly.all at a great price. I will definitely be coming back for more.

I was looking for an authentic Mexican place for a while. The salmon tacos are my favorite thing to eat there. The chicken burrito is also delicious. Will go again and again

Tried the fish tacos and the guacamole, salsa and chips today for lunch.

The fish tacos were okay, I do feel they lacked flavour, possibly because there was no spice. The chips and guacamole were delicious but the salsa tasted like the kind you can buy from the grocery store.

I only really interacted with one of the staff members who was friendly and helpful. I do plan on trying this place again in the future because I’m hoping it was just the fish tacos that are a miss as other reviews have mentioned the wet burrito and quesadillas being a hit.

A small place but went in based on the reviews. Amazing food. Quiet. Good location. Had the enchiladas. Not typical enchiladas sauce but rather than ground beef it was more like chunks of steak. Tender, juicy, flavorful.

I got the veggie enchiladas and I absolutely loved every bite! The veggie enchilada comes with a side of rice and beans and the portions are so filling. I love the authenticity of the food and the gorgeous outdoor dining, as well as the sangrias!

What a delightful surprise this was! From the great menu selection I had the fajitas with soup and soda. Everything made fresh and tasted fantastic. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere; everything from the staff, the food, and even other patrons! (Who incidentally verified the fajitas recommendation before my order). Will definitely making a return visit soon.

How in the world this is 4.5 stars? The most iconic dish from Mexico, the tacos, horrible tasting, and dumb me that I ate them after them tasting horrible, I got sick and puked twice, so likely the meat was not good. I will never go back here or recommend this place, be careful.

The food is fantastic, the prices are reasonable for the quality and the owner and staff are very nice people. There's definitely a reason that this restaurant has been at the same location for so long, I will definitely be returning in the future.

Always a great experience. Enjoy a meal with friends. Nachos with beef, chicken burrito & chicken quesadillas. Food was made fresh and hot to serve. Portions were just right. Prices are very reasonable. The staff were friendly and quick to serve. Will be by to enjoy another meal soon.

Highly recommend! This is my favourite place to go for authentic Mexican food! I have been coming here for the past 3 years and it never disappoints! My favourite dish is the enchiladas, they are delicious! Quality of food is amazing.

Way to overpriced! I could have made this food myself and saved more then half the money! So overrated.

It was a big chicken burrito and fresh ingredients, overall it tasted good. The only thing I would have liked is the option to add more of a variety of toppings and sauces and to have the burrito grilled when finished to make it warmer.

A bit on the salter side sometimes but still amazing none the less. Beats the fast food Mexican places any day.

Food is great and so are the people! Gotta love supporting family businesses like this that so obviously take pride in what they do. We had the enchiladas and shrimp wet burrito. Great flavor and and a generous serving too! Can't wait to go back.tomorrow!

I am an infrequent visitor to this location (@ 35 Brunel Road, Mississauga) that claims to sell Mexican food. The food items that I purchased (comprised of a burrito, & nachos) both of which were prepared without putting a lot of thought into it. The burrito was dry and tasteless while the nachos were doused in a weird concoction of sorts. The owner also seemed a bit reluctant when a side of onions and pickles were requested and this was evident based on his hand gesticulations only to indicate his stingy and cheap attitude towards his customers. I walked away without the requested sides.

Had the chicken fajita and it was a bit disappointing. It was quite bland and not much flavour. Had to put lots of hot sauce to taste something. The staff is very nice though.

We came in family and tried Burritos (wet and regular), Chili, and enchiladas. It was delicious.homemade mexican food, very fresh and excellent.and the team are so kind

Simply the best Mexican restaurant in the area. All ingredients are fresh and everything is prepped and cooked to perfection. I can't imagine going anywhere else for burritos or nachos. Mex burger is also fantastic. Highly recommended.

The food here is delicious. Tasted several dishes this week for lunch and also take out and enjoyed the food tremendously. The owners/servers are also amazing and very nice.

We ordered take out food and were very impressed. I had the enchiladas and my wife had the wet burrito. We also had their fresh tortilla chips with Salsa. We'll definitely go there again if we're in that area.

We got the enchiladas and tacos and I loved how authentic both items tasted. All the flavours were great I wish there was the option to add different levels of spiciness or hot sauce because Mexican food is always great because of the heat. But overall the owner was super nice, and the portion size, presentation, and quality of the food was great. Will definitely be back to check out the burritos. Ps. Their patio is really beautiful with the hanging planters.

I've been going to El Sombrero for a few years and this place has the best Mexican food in the GTA. A lot of other Mexican restaurants just have hipster tacos that don't really taste that good. This place has really high quality food with a good blend of flavors. Their Enchiladas are in my opinion their best meal. In addition to the taste is the portion size. It is adequate for the price you pay. Many places that have social media appeal are very expensive but the portions are really small, you won't go wrong here. Lastly, the hospitality is some of the best; very kind and will bring food to you and provide any additional sauces/condiments. This is my go to place for Mexican food.

I really enjoyed the Tacos at El Sombrero! I had the Steak and also tried the Salmon. It was fresh and delicious:) The Wet Burrito was something new and interesting! VERY filling and very saucy If you’re in the Mississauga area and looking for some delicious mexican food, stop by!

Fantastic food. Quick, consistent service. Reasonably priced. Great portions! I had the wet burrito and the enchiladas. Of the two, I wouod recommend the burrito. The food was fresh and homemade. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Best tasting Mexican food joint in the peel region! Family run business and owner cares about his Customers, food is yum. Try their chicken enchiladas, quesadilla and nachos! Note that they don't open late so plan accordingly for dinner. Highly recommended!

Enchilada meal is my favorite- it is very tasty and fresh and you can tell they use quality ingredients from the corn tortillas to the beans. Presentation also looks so much better than other Mexican take out places.

Hands down one of the best authentic Mexican food I have tasted outside of Mexico. It is a small family owned shop with home quality food. I would suggest trying out the enchiladas.

Placed an order on ubereats a few days in advance. The restaurant cancelled my order 10 minutes after it was scheduled to be delivered with no explanation.

I love El Sombrero burritos. Very different taste than a typical Burrito Boys. More fresh and more flavourful in my opinion. Tortilla is done different too. More authentic. Very good garlic chips w salsa too. They put an xtra thing of guac for me when I request a bit more.their awesome.

The plates are very generous for the $10 - $12 lunch pricing. Always delicious and the little 4 table outdoor patio is delightful in good weather.

Such a weird review. The food was tasty, a good value. The service was great. But it didn't taste like Mexican food. I feel weird "complaining" because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. But I've had a *high* number of burritos and other Mexican food, and this didn't scratch that itch.

I would not discourage anyone from going here to get a meal. It was pretty great. But if you need Mexican food, try Streetsville. Or Mexico.

Consistently have amazing and fresh tasting food for very reasonable prices. The owner and staff that work there are super-friendly, and definitely will come back again soon.

This is a casual restaurant with tasty food, some cool latino sodas and a hospitable atmosphere.

I ordered the enchiladas which are a great value and a guava drink. They were cool with my friends and I taking over a table for 2.5 hours which was appreciated.

The only thing that prevents me giving a perfect 5 stars are: the chairs are not comfortable and the dessert selection is non-existent (I really hoped for flan).

This place is great. I’ve had both the wet burritos and taco salads and have been consistently impressed. The service is quick and friendly, the food is hot and fresh, and the atmosphere is relaxed and refreshing. It’s a great place to either eat in or takeaway.

P. S. The assortment of hot sauces is sure to hit the right spice for every diner.

Located in a convenient area, lots of parking spaces, and walking distance from multiple business building in the area. Service is good and fast, staff friendly and always offer free chips with food. Food is good and an inexpensive choice for lunch time. Atmosphere inside is okay, and there is available patio seating area for summer time. Will visit again.

Great authentic food. Will defenitely go back. Only concern is the lack of organization. The menu is put up on a banner but does not list any of the proteins they offer. You serve ur own glass of water but this isnt indicated anywhere. Other than that, loved the place, people and the food!

Authentic and great food. Always consistent with fresh ingredients. It might be more expensive than other places with similar food, but it's worth it. You'll see why once your try them.

Came here today for the first time. I thought it was pretty good. The staff was lovely, the place was clean which is extremely important to me. I ordered the Mex burger with fries. The fries were really good.so was the burger.the only thing I found was that it was a bit pricey. The Mex burger, fries and a drink was 20$. Although the meal was good, 20$ a plate is a bit expensive and being prompted to tip on top of that is a bit much, but over all it's a good place to go

Perfect small place for Mexican food with the very essential menu.
Good seating arrangement. The order is placed at the counter and they give the nacho and salsa as we proceed to seating.
The service was fast and I must say don't know if I was super hungry or missing Mexican food for a while now but the enchiladas were perfect. We also took the salad bowl which was equally. The food, the presentation all great! Definitely visiting this place often to try out the rest of the menu.
