Eldale Veterinary Clinic

I’ve been with Eldale for years. The vets are always professional and friendly, and are very knowledgeable. The front desk staff is courteous and acknowledge you the minute you arrive. Getting an appointment the same day you call is often possible. I’ve never had to wait more than a day or two to get our dog in. I feel blessed to have such a top notch animal clinic in our community!

Eldale was great to work with. They were quick to reply to our appointment request and got us quickly for our sick cat. They were thorough with their examination and offered a variety of options to help her get better quickly. The staff were all great!

Was recommended to Eldale by my new groomer. Wonderful facility, great service, all staff members were friendly, caring and professional and the best part was how comfortable my dog Chico (old and fussy) was with meeting this new team. Had a checkup and shots and he was great through the process - this says tons about the staff and care they provide to pets. Highly recommend this clinic to everyone who cares about their fur babies and thanks to everyone at Eldale!

Way too expensive as they are probably passing the cost of their huge reno onto customers. They used to be more reasonably priced but when you get a bill of nearly $600 for a spaying a cat you see that's ridiculous and must change veterinarians.

Great vet - they just remodeled the place and it looks great. It’s so much bigger. The staff are really great polite, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

The love and support you feel from the staff is always amazing. They really breakdown each appointment and explain everything in great detail. I drive from listowel to take my dogs here and would encourage anyone in the area to do so. 10/10

They have been our vet for years! We love their caring compassionate staff. We can always get an appointment and they never seem to try to sell you things. They always give different options and try to make things affordable for all. We love them at Eldale

Very disappointed with the approach of this clinic, particularly of manager Patti Ritter. We took our dogs to this clinic for years, everything was fine until early this year. At first, 15% fat food was dispensed for my dog by mistake instead of the low fat food (under 5%). As a result my dog’s Triglicerides went up doubled. When We brought the dog for rabies vaccination they drew dog’s blood without my consent.

I questioned manager Ritter about the food and the blood work, and complained about the fact that with all the expenses we paid to the clinic, the dog’s conditions worsened. The manager did not like it and sent me an email later claiming termination of services and products. A letter also came in earlier signed by Dr. Nick Gallo stating the same notification. I’ve had never seen or talked with Dr. Nick Gallo.

What’s worse, all the clinics I contacted since have declined to even schedule an appointment for my dog. Same routine, they asked for information and booked an appointment, then a few hours later, after contacting Eldale for files, called back to cancel the appointment citing short of staff as reason. So now our dogs are left with no health care as a result of this clinic’s actions. One dog has a lump and cannot get help.

I dunno how they do business in this place!
I recently adopted a puppy from a breeder and surprisingly the puppy was vaccinated when he was 4 weeks old… despite the regulations that say clearly the first shot should be taken when the puppy is 8 weeks.
I guess for them its all about money not the wellness of the pet!

I've been to a few vets before this one was the first one I've walked into and all staff was welcoming, cool, calm and collective. They helped my old lab with her ears right away and didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Kelly was an amazing vet more clinics need people like her. Beautiful inside and out and cares about animals. Very informative on future help of the dogs health as well. I would suggest them to anyone. Thanks again Kelly.

We have senior dogs that have chronic big old dog issues And recently one has developed digestion troubles. Not an "emergency" but it did need to be addressed and brought under control.
The vets listened and discussed options for testing and care. Unlike franchise vets, we were given the choice of lower and higher cost options along with realistic opinions on the efficacy of each. Front office also has been better than we've experienced elsewhere.
Much appreciated after recent experiences elsewhere.
A bit out of the way for us but was the only vet taking new patients without a months long wait. Our long term vet died just prior to Covid and we've been challenged to find anyone that can come close to him since. Think we'll stay here.

Oakley had a great experience with vet and the people working the front desk. He is usually protective of me but he was friendly with all the staff and he co-operated with everyone that he came in contact with which surprised me completely. Great experience for me and my boy and I highly recommend their services.

The best staff with a newer facility is a recipe for a smooth visit. Recently got my younger puppy spayed and she was so loved by the staff it made all the difference in her world. Surgery itself was great and she healed in no time and is back to her usual, chaoticly fun self. Worth the drive every time.

We have been going here with our dogs for years. We have always found everyone (vets and techs) to be pleasant and knowledgeable. Their new wait room is spacious and every room is thoroughly cleaned between patients. Great place overall.

This place is terrible and not professional! The owner of the clinic vet Nick Gallo is not professional at all. He send me a letter only to expel me rather two of my dogs from services. This Elmira Clinic at Church St did not provided any treatments for my dog, only taking money for whole panels of blood work. He expelled my sick dog and declined services to him only bc I have complained to manager Pat. Complain to manager was about dispensing wrong food for my dog which should be on low fat diet due to his eye condition (fat deposition in the cornea). Instead to hear SORRY manager of this clinic complained to Nick Gallo! NICK GALLo is calculated person, he did not like my comments what I said. This place is grabbing money, not taking responsibility for their actions and not treating dog or sending them to specialists when is required. Stay away from Elmira Clinic! ’

We have been going to Eldale for years. They are caring and compassionate. They provide treatment options when needed. We’ve recommended them to others and all continue to take their four legged loved ones there.

Our first experience with this clinic was amazing! They were prompt, attentive and informative. I loved the fact that the doctor actually came outside to discuss our pup! We look forward to working with this clinic for many years to come!

I have moved and this vet is much farther of a drive but I still would never consider another office. They are professional, kind, compassionate and helpful. I never worry about my pets in the hands of ANY member of the team here and always feel heard and considered when I ask more questions than normal for my pets sake. I cannot say enough wonderful things.

My cat was very weak, underweight/undernourished and sick when I found him, he probably wouldn't have lasted another day or two outside. Eldale vet not only worked with me in getting him healthy again, but were so kind to me when I worried, and supported my cat AND me along the way.bringing your beloved pet here is one of the kindest things you can for them:)

Eldale has multiple veterinarians practicing at their clinic and they consistently provide caring, knowledgeable service. Our family's much loved cats and dogs have had care here in recent years and we have recommended Eldale to others as well. They are reasonably priced and take a well balanced approach. Several times the veterinarian themselves have called us personally to see how our pet is doing and we were touched by their personal caring concern.

Very good place to take your furry friend. We've gone here from out of town for 15 years with our best friend. They expanded years ago and the service level increased with it. They care for your buddy just as much as you do. It does feel a bit rushed now due to covid i guess.they say something could take 15-20 minutes to go through paperwork, but it's more like 15-20 seconds. Follow up instructions seem rushed and difficult to understand through masks and Plexiglas.

This is the place that cares and goes above and beyond in helping two-leggeds cope with whatever befalls their four leggeds. It has been my good fortune to have these professionals help me and my pet companions for almost 6 years now. Highly recommended.

The staff here are amazing! I bring my two dogs there and they are so good with them. They help ensure that the decisions I make for my pets are well informed one way or another, I never feel like I’ve made a bad decision for my pets with their guidance. I trust them with my pets 100%

I have been going to Eldale for years. I used to live in Elmira but now live in Guelph and still continue to use them. They have taken great care of our pets for a reasonable price and I couldn’t be happier. They genuinely care about the animals and want the absolute best for them.

I have brought my pets to Eldale several times, and they have always been amazing. Very thorough, they explain exactly what needs to be done as well as the cost. Many years of good service from the staff at Eldale. They care, and try to work with you and your needs. I have found them more reasonably priced for the same products and services than a variety of vet clinics closer to me in Kitchener Waterloo. I believe this is because they are also a large animal clinic. We just don’t experience the upselling/ pressure or guilting which we have experienced very blatantly at other city clinics (including ongoing emails). More practical. Also they were willing to go beyond other vets when money was tight, and an unexpected emergency arose. Called us after hours and helped when others just lectured us that we should be saving up for emergencies, very condescendingly, and got off the phone. True, and we do, unfortunately those savings were spent on human medical needs lately. So, with a very ill dog that should have died, (unresponsive hypoglycaemia/ seizures) the vet clinic that helped was Eldale.

Eldale Veterinary Clinic is the most wonderful Vet Clinic I have been to. They are so professional, reasonably priced, and most importantly they love what they do. I always feel like my pup is in good hands when he goes to Eldale. I feel the compassion and care that all of the employees have for my Harvey all the time. I would recommend you to everyone! Friendly staff! Don't see much of them with curbside but every little bit helps when your fur baby needs medical! I drive out of Kitchener for a better quality and more compassionate service. Not Bashing any Vets here. I'm sure most are good at what they do. In my opinion Eldale is better or as good as they come!

The staff and doctors are nice enough. But I have not personally met anyone aside from someone coming outside to get my dog. Would get more stars if I knew more about the staff, doctors and facility. Even now, things are still curbside, which is frustrating given all protocols that are put in place. Once I am able to know and see more, I'm sure my review will change, but this is just based on my current experience I have had to date.

Amazing service at Eldale! All of the Veteranarians are skilled, compassionate and easy to talk to! We've been a customer for 10yrs. Throughout our dog Tess' life Eldale treated her like their own. This week we needed to say goodbye to our sweet little bug. They made this sad and difficult experience as peaceful as possible, reassuring us it was the right and humane thing to do. Eldale Vet Clinic has the most wonderful staff and vets. We have been taking our pets to them for about 17 years now. They go the extra mile and that places them a step above regular vet clinics

Always a very positive experience, Eldale never attempts to "upsell" unnecessary & expensive procedures. But they are still very thorough in making sure the required health needs are met! Plus you never feel as if they don't have the time to explain issues & concerns, answer questions & provide thoughtful, professional advice.

AMAZING, We are fairly new customers here and I cannot say enough good things. The employees we have dealt with have taken such good care of our dog.

Eldale has looked after both of our beloved dogs since the day we brought them home. We had a very traumatic experience with our oldest. His brain and skull were crushed, his cheekbones broken, his jaws broken, one eye completely damaged (no sight) and the other after all is said and done 25% sight left. We were devastated but they we’re absolutely exemplary with his care over the last year and a half. I would never take my dogos anywhere else

My dogs have been coming in to Eldale since they were pups, and have always had the best care. The vets and techs we dealt with past 8yrs have always been kind and professional, they listen and ask questions, made us aware of issues to watch for or need attention. Very attentive with our dogs, and other pets that may be there same time, Reasonable and affordable rates.

Always a wonderful experience.the vets and other staff are great with our dogs, and we always trust them to give good, no-pressure advice.

We took our 18 year old cat in this week for a checkup. We were a little worried because our little guy has arthritis and walking around has been quite challenging for him. We also notice that his nails were so long and cutting into the pads of his paws and we figured that this may have impacted on his inability to walk easily. We tried to trim them ourselves, but at no avail. It was too stressful.

We called the vet and made an appointment to have him looked at as he was having other issues going on. We got in that very same day, drove up parked our car, and then called to say we were there. We met them at the front door and handed over our cat and the doctor called us while we were waiting in the car with his assessment. Dr Sebastian was so caring and reassuring. He went on to trim his nails which was complimentary. He phoned back within a minute and said that our cat was a real champ and didn't even squirm in the slightest. Go figure. These guys are amazing!

They were professional and friendly. I can't say enough good things about this place and the staff. We have been dealing with this outfit for close to 20 years and they have always been top notch. Highly recommend them! Thanks so much!

I can't say enough good things about Eldale. I absolutely love bringing my dogs to them and I feel confident and secure with everyone there.
We used to drive 20 minutes to get there and when we moved further away we thought we should try a vet closer to our new home. That didn't last long. We quickly returned to Eldale.even though it's now 45 minutes away. It's worth it!

Cannot give this place enough praise, they’re always so great to deal with! We’ve been taking our Bernese puppy here the past few months and every appointment has always been a breeze! They are great with our pup, not pushy at all in terms of treatments or procedures and they are very reasonably priced! A quick little story to truly attest to their great customer service, we brought in our puppy for her spay appointment and part way through the day I received a call from Eldale saying they had another animal come in that needed emergency surgery, so they were wondering if we could reschedule Lola’s appointment for a different day. Of course I agreed, because if it were my dog who needed emergency surgery I would hope everyone else in the situation would be understanding. They booked me in for the next week on the date that I was available, kept her at the office and fed her/looked after her until we could pick her up after work in the evening, and even waived the cost of her eye-drops she had been prescribed due to the inconvenience. With all that being said, whenever I get another pup I will no doubt be coming back to Eldale!

We have been going here for the past 14 years. The staff are all amazing. The care they show the animal (a cat for us) is above and beyond. A few years ago when our cat got sick the vet did everything they could to help him. It was going to be quite costly and that even helped to lower the cost some so he could get the care he needed. He’s still alive and doing great. I love that they will often do follow up calls to see how he is doing after a visit. They really love their jobs and are really good at it! I would recommend anyone who has a pet to go see them!

I absolutely love all the staff here. You can immediately tell they all love animals and enjoy the work they do. Recently our beloved Matilda lost both her eyes due to Primary Glaucoma. Even blind, she is happy to be at the vet. Staff came out to hug her and give treats and that does not go unnoticed from Tilly's seeing eye human, her mom. I always know all my dogs are loved and receive the best care. Our dogs are our family, thank you for taking such good care of all of them.

This place is fantastic! When we moved into Elmira we started taking our dog to this veterinary clinic. The staff is very kind, the care is superb and their prices are fantastic!
