Ryan is so passionate about the work he does and it’s very telling that he cares about supporting the dreams of others. He takes the time to make sure everything is exactly how you’d envisioned, and that you’re satisfied with the final product.

Ryan is extremely educated in music and focused on making this experience a learning opportunity with lots of fun. I’ve been going to this studio for about two months and I each visit I learn something new and come back a little different in the best way.

Where many others have failed to help me find my chest voice, Ryan did it in the first session! It’s been an amazing experience so far, the guy it’s a genius which give me the tools to grow, improve and develop. It is a chill and friendly environment where you can improve any part of your music skills. The only downfall I see on my opinion it’s the hours available weekly. Working with Ryan for some commercial voiceover work was great, he made the process easy and straight forward, even over Zoom! To say I notice a huge difference in only 1 month seems like an understatement. Ryan has a way of noticing things and explaining them so that each time I'm there, I discover something else about myself, and my voice.

I started lessons with Ryan about 2 years ago and had to stop after a short period of time. In that short period, Ryan helped me find what my voice sounded like instead of me trying to sound like other singers. It was very important to my vocal growth. I have recently started vocal lessons again and thought of no one but Ryan to help me achieve my goals as a vocalist. I love rock music and Ryan was able to use his recording studio to build songs from scratch, playing the guitar, bass, and drum tracks, from bands like Queens of the Stone Age and Big Wreck. The fact that you can hear a recording of yourself is very important, it really helps you understand where you need to learn and improve. Not to mention after all your hard work you actually have an awesome recording to show for it! Highly recommend!

After only 2 months of lessons with Ryan, my daughter has drastically improved, not only in her vocals/piano but with her confidence in her music and performance. Friends and family are noticing the difference as well!

I've only been doing development sessions with Ryan for 3 months now, but it the short amount of time he has guided me through growth of my voice and changed my view on singing. A big problem of mine was confidence in myself and my voice, to the point where all the tension was hindering my ability and risking damage if I kept singing that same way. Even before he knew this was a problem of mine he made the space an extremely friendly place where the only thing that mattered was the growth of the artist, not if you were able to hit the highest note as soon as you start.

His methods are something completely different than any music teacher I've been with (guitar, piano, and vocals previously). We chose a song, one we agreed was somewhere that was just outside my abilities, but close enough with practice it would not take long to reach. Instead of just vocals, he whipped up a quick arrangement of the track which made it feel more like my own song rather than just a cover. We worked on breaking out of what the original song sounds like and developing my own sound with the tune. Later he took a little more time and turned the backing track into a full rock ensemble (originally just acoustic), which further allowed me to be creative and try different things. What I like best is that he records each take of your practice, and he can go over specifically what he thought was good and what needed a bit of work. He always gives great advice on how to change something physically, or even just how you think about approaching something. Different from the traditional approach to guiding development, but a very effective method.

I strongly recommend EMS to anyone who is looking to develop themselves, whether it's singing ability, recording portfolio, or even confidence. Ryan is extremely knowledgable in what he is teaching, but what's even better is the way he goes about guiding you through whatever it is you look to improve.

Our daughter started at elevation music this fall. In a few short months, we are so pleased with her progress. Ryan has a real gift and we feel so blessed to be in the right hands. Thank you, elevation music studios for pushing Charlotte out of her comfort zone.

I made my 1st album with Ryan Lewis at his studio and was very impressed with his enthusiasm, musical ability, and technical knowledge to make it a fabulous experience. Back in 2010-2011 I had the pleasure of receiving guitar lessons from Ryan! He surpassed my expectations of an incredible teacher and still remains a good friend! He is patient, supportive, kind and ultimately let me choose my path within music, while guiding me with his abundant knowledge. He took the time to work on my individual needs in order to help me become a better musician. Together we learned, played and sang.
