They have great staff. My dog doesn't get too nervous on her visit. Have been going here for several years now. I have been using this vet for two cats and two dogs.

The Veterinary staff here is amazing! After a very difficult loss, they were extremely kind, supportive and knowledgeable. I definitely appreciated the card and sincere wishes sent by the staff. I won't take my cats any where else!

The staff are all so kind, empathetic and helpful with supporting my many questions about my pets’ health and wellness. I feel confident and at ease when my pets require various procedures to for their well being. Yesterday my sister’s older dog had a stroke and his quality of life was gone. They called their vet in Aylmer to have their dog Coco put down as nothing could be done. The staff said that they were too busy and couldn’t schedule an appointment. I immediately called Elgin Animal Hospital and explained what happened and if they could possibly help out. An appointment was immediately scheduled for Coco. My sister’s family were so grateful and touched with the kindness of all staff during Coco’s last moments. I can’t thank everyone enough for their care, kindness and dedication to our furry family members.

Dr. House, Dr. Must, Dr. Salvati & Dr. Campigotto are knowledgeable, honest & kind individuals, that have always gone above & beyond to provide the best quality vet care. The clinic staff are wonderful & the animals are so relaxed in their care. I would never consider going anywhere else.

I was in need of a new vet after moving to town. I received a recommendation to call Elgin Animal Hospital. The receptionist was friendly & I had no isssues getting registered as a new client. My expectations were exceeded with the quality of care from the moment I stepped foot through the door. The technicians were kind, soft spoken & always smiling. Our fur babies can not speak for themselves. I find the Doctors are able to read the minds of our fur babies and figure out the issue or keep working on it till they do.

This is a Wonderful Clinic. They help you right away if ever an Emergency, explain everything fully to you about the care that is needed. So Very helpful and answer all your questions. Definitely a place to Bring your Pet.

Staff was great but maybe need a little more training with person who trims nails. Missed a couple also.

We have noticed that our poor old girl wasn't feeling herself yesterday and this morning we waited till the vet's opened and they took her right in.the staff and the Doctor was amazing couldn't ask for any better vet

The support staff and Dr. House are very friendly and attentive. I like to have the same vet look at my pet Frankie to develope a good relationship and comfort level. I'm given time to ask questions, and we have a little chat about our kitties. I am very confident Frankie is getting the best care at the Elgin Animal Hospital. When he returns home, it is business as usual and he shows no sign of residual fear or anxiety after his visit with Dr. House. Thank you everyone for your kindness and excellent care!

I called with a dog emergency and they were able to get my dog in the next day to see them, and are taking great care of her. Highly recommend them!

I always get the best care when I bring Rigsby to this clinic. Dr. Must and Dr. House have been treating Rigsby for 7 years now since he was a puppy and I have complete trust in them. We moved away from St. Thomas a few years ago but I would not even think of taking him anywhere else! Rigsby enjoys the visits too!

10/10 place! The vets are all so great, taking the time to explain things and discuss our options. I always feel like our dogs and cat are in good hands. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend Elgin Animal Hospital! We’ve had some bad vet experiences in our time, but never here. We’re so happy to have them to help care for our pets.

We took our year and and a half old dog in for a blood test and tick medication. They told us if they didn't call back with results for blood test everything was good and to start the medication. We did not receive a call, so we started the medication. Within 3 weeks the dogs health was deteriorating quite visibly.
We called the office to make sure everything was all right and they informed us that the dog was Lyme disease positive. When asked why they did not call us we were informed that they tried and it was a wrong number and they did nothing more about it. They did not seem to have a secondary number to call or address to even send a letter which seems to be a standard for other vets. So they did nothing. There was no concern shown by the woman on the phone in fact she was quite condescending and rude and totally unconcerned with the situation.
Our dog is now doomed to a short and miserable life. Their commitment to the health of pets is beyond substandard.
If you love your pet do not go here.

I had a very DISAPPOINTING experience with the clinic. They were our cat’s vet. He is an indoor cat and therefore we haven’t gone for annual shots. Our cat was neutered, vaccinated and declawed at Elgin 6 years ago. Our 2 previous cats were regular patients there as they were outdoor cats.
In May I made inquiries about the clinic administering CBD oil to my cat to address his anxiety. They don’t pratice that medicine there so referred us to a website to seek out vets who could assist us.
We went to Burlington and in the process the vet diagnosed our cat with severe gingivitis issues which means he has to see an oral surgeon. I requested that all the information from Burlington be forwarded to Elgin. Once Elgin received the medical notes they dropped us as clients? Why? I DO NOT KNOW AND STILL DON’T KNOW. The receptionist informed me that our cat hadn’t had a regular visit for 6 years. Leaving me with the distinct impression that they weren’t happy that they weren’t making money off of us. When I called Elgin to make an appointment for blood work and rabies shots in preparation for surgery I was informed that we were no longer clients and we would have to wait until August to have that work done…in the meantime my cat is experiencing discomfort.
I requested a call from the manager in charge and she called 4 days later. I shared with her that my feeling was that we were dropped because we hadn’t had a regular visit and didn’t make them money. I was informed that that was not a legal practice…but still no answers as to why we were dropped as clients. I was asked if they could do anything for us to return and I declined as I eventually was able to connect with another vet clinic whom I feel are VERY accomodating (Shedden).

Awesome place for your pets needs.super friendly service.very clean.large parking area.always there to help when you need them the most. I and other family and friends been very please and happy with all issues with our pets.

We feel very comfortable with Elgin animal hospital, the staff and particularly the Vet. This is a great clinic. If you can get in we would definitely recommend becoming patients.
They take care with the animal and are always very informative when it comes to the owner as well. It's really easy to see they care; they just go that extra mile.

Yesterday was our first time at the Elgin Animal Hospital. My two cats were so difficult to get into their bags because the last time they were in their bags, it was a LONG drive from Toronto to St. Thomas and they were so scared. We arrived late for our appointment and the lady at the front desk was very kind and understanding. I appreciated that so thank you to that lady. Once we got in to see Dr. Julie Must, she was very kind and considerate to our two cats who were nervous at first and Luto (male cat) charmed the doctor with his cuteness. She answered all my questions and concerns. It was the first time we were able to be in with our cats since late year was a pandemic. Thank you, Dr. Must. I recommend this place.

My 6 year old cat wasn't well - I called first thing and even though they didn't really have an appointment slot they still made time for us to come in (like an hour after I called). My cat wasn't eating or drinking so it was some urgency. She was seen, treated and given medication and food to take away. She was feeling better in no time at all. Thank you so much.
