I rented here years ago in 2018. Hey made it look pretty for the initial showing and after a month the issues started to show. Multiple species of ants infested the place, toilet broke and flooded the whole apartment, hole in the ceiling with water dripping out of it, silver fish, mold in the basement. Best part was that every time you called them the receptionist yelled at you that you had to contact them via email, and then they never responded to your emails so it was impossible to get them to fix an issue. Absolute nightmare, worst place I ever lived.

They have a apartment for rent but don't return email inquiries and apparently that's the only way they will take inquiries

For the price they charge, it's exactly what you should expect. My unit was old and outdated. Smelled like cigarettes and the building was in disrepair. There were bricks that were falling off the building. My windows frames were rotting away. Legit could see daylight through the window frames. But, I knew this coming in because the rent was under 1000 a month. When there was an issue that could cause serious harm to the tenants, they fixed it right away. My oven was sparking and they were there to fix it the next day. I had mold in my window frames and they came to clean it up within 2 days. They also always responded to my emails within a reasonable time frame.

Having worked with Elko Properties LTD on a prior project we can testify to their professionalism, timelines and business ethic. It was a pleasure dealing with the entire team.

They're ok when it comes to two bedrooms and the tenants are decent. However, there is always one consistent issue where the hot water doesn't run. This issue has risen many times with other tenants not just myself. They say they're going to fix it and yet its been 2 months.

Cost of rent for 2 bedroom apt was very reasonable. Basic building with minor issues but all issues were dealt with after I contacted them. Life changes had me moving or would have stayed longer than the 2 years

READ CAREFULLY: It looks like this team is receiving a LOT of negativity. I assure you, the experience is SO much more positive! Tonya, the current superintendent, is incredibly concise and polite. Her commitment to the buildings overall health has been invaluable. Staff at their headquarters, Christina, the Accounts Manager in particular, is also a valuable asset to this team. She too is very polite and optimistic, and very well spoken as well!
I am a current tenant, and issues that I bring up are resolved swiftly and carefully. The overall building is old, and therefore there are some small nuances that can be worked on. What building doesnt? For the amount of rent being asked, I would say this building is easily worth the investment. Special thanks to Christina and Tonya who have made this journey so exciting. I appreciate you all and look forward to making my new home even better:)

I rented a basement apartment through Elko Properties. Walter (the owner) was always quick to respond to any issues I had with the property. He even came at 3: 00 am one morning to resolve an urgent issue. He's been one of the better landlords that I've had over the years.

Rent with them ONLY if you have a lawyer at disposal. Also, yellowish hard water supply in units. Ideal example of landlords exploiting paycheck-to-paycheck tenants.

The lady who answers the phone at this place has such a attitude problem, why bother renting from a place who cannot even answer the phone in a kind manner. As well do not ask any questions to this same lady she has a problem answering questions. I would never rent from this company and I will tell everyone to avoid this place!

I lived here for a year, and wished I didn’t. As other reviews have stated, the staff are AWFUL in office, the lack of professionalism is atrocious! They are so quick to judge and make decisions for you (ie, removing an occupant from the lease with clearing it)
The units themselves are dated and falling apart, and maintenance somehow doesn’t know how to fix things properly.
They don’t listen to anything you say about anything, I regret renting here.

Please spare yourself from embarrassment and harassment. Look for an alternate or sleep on the streets.

I just wanted to say that after I had rented from Elko a few years ago, I realized I wouldn't have the same kind of service anywhere else! Their management team were extremely personable, building was always clean and my super and I got along great! Thanks for making my stay a pleasurable one! Will definitely rent again from them again!
