Elliot Lake Fire Tower

Went to visit my son and his family
Went for a walk to the fire tower, was an extremely windy day. Gate was closed, so had to walk up. Got to the top and there was snow above my knees up there
Always a gorgeous site. Will recommend that everyone go up there at least once, if your in the area.
Gate was closed, but the town still cleaned up the road to tower perfectly

One of the best spots in Elliot Lake is to get a glimpse of the whole area from the top and get some fresh breeze.

Beautiful view of hills, lakes and valley. The fall colours should be terrific. Will definitely go back then

Most amazing spot, I can see it from my home in Elliot Lake. Yes, the road is rather rough. Could use some work.

One of my favourite places in Elliot Lake and definitely the most beautiful during the Autumn season! A must if you're visiting or simply passing through Elliot Lake. The view doesnt get better than this! Theres also a little playground for kids and a new interactive touchscreen machine that tells you information about Elliot Lake!

Definitely a must stop if passing through the area. During this time of the yr, the fall colours were amazing to view from up there. Short walk from parking lot. Playground for kids and restrooms.

A must to see whether you visit or live here. Stunning view, especially now with the fall colours. A treat for the eyes.

Gorgeous scenery from the tower, and a bunch of nice hikes.a few areas had fairly steep slopes. Autumn is spectacular for viewing and hiking. Also lots of hikes around the lakes.

The view is breathtaking the only concern and caution that i would give.is that the washroom needs some tender loving care.

Bit of a bumpy ride to the top but definitely worth the view! Multi-level lookout. Snack shop and washrooms available. No fee! I really enjoyed it.

Nice veiw of the town, a popular tourist area, this is an place they used to survelance fires before satalites where the main surveillance optics for forest fires. It is still maned to this day for that purpose and has a tourist arrea with stuff to buy and snacks. Offers a buitifull veiw of the town of Elliot Lake and a spoters scope on the top deck of the tower, on a clear day you will see lake Huron in the distance along with multiple lakes of the former mining town. Come here for a great veiw of the arrea!

There is a winding road up to this location but well worth the drive. I'm not one for scenic views but this one was spectacular. Seeing all the way to Manitoulin Island! And there is no charge of any kind. If you are in Elliot Lake take an hour to go and see this.

Some wonderful views from the Fire tower lookout - you can even see the outline of Manitoulin on a clear day in the distance - best time to go is the Fall as the colors are spectacular!

An amazing place for a view. Also a great drive as well. Make sure to dine at Mum's Place nearby, a lovely friendly place with a 70s vibe.

The view speaks for itself.a must see and experience if you find yourself in the area.we were lucky to get a chance to go inside the cabin as well.kids loved the play park and the view.will return on our next visit
