My dog ate poison, I have taken my dog there since she was a puppy for over priced vaccinations, their response? Sorry you don't have an appointment take it to Barrie. Friends dog struck by a car mid-day in Elmvale, the dog was dying called ahead to warn them the dog was coming in. Sorry we don't have any available appointments.
Are you serious? NEVER, NEVER would I take my pet there again. They care Zero about your pets, its all about money.

My dog has been receiving shots for his arthritis issues every 3 weeks for a couple of years. He is like a 12 years old puppy. Great suggestion at a reasonable price. Staff are wonderful… thanks Elmvale Vet

Absolutely love Elmvale Vet Hospital. Dr. Catherine Connellan is kind, knowledgeable, and genuine. 100% recommend bringing your pet here. Worth the drive (I drive from Barrie).

Now have my second dog at this veterinary clinic as they took such great care of my first dog. Honest, and I felt confident about all suggestions with the care of my older dog when it came to what test were necessary and not to see what was going on and if these were his last days. I did not feel like I was taken advantage of at all and he went to rest comfortably.we also got to be in the room and hold him as it happened.

Vet tech Jess never returns calls or sends quotes like she states I’ve called numerous times hoping for a call back. I get you’re busy but let us know that and don’t say you’re going to do something and don’t do it multiple times. Considering I wanted pain pills for my animal and to book a visit for my dog this is just sad practice.

Best vet we've ever been to! They are so so so kind and caring.done absolutely everything for our dogs over the years.

I had to put my little fur baby down (Marley) today, something you never want to do, but you know in your heart it’s for the best. The staff and the doctor (Dr. Catherine Connellann) was amazing, she took her time to explain what was going to happen, step by step she showed compassion and made me feel a little more at ease. I want to thank the staff they were amazing.

Great Vet that doesn't pressure you to run unneeded tests. Still use to the this day even though we moved further away into Central Barrie

My bird was in distress with a large, open wound under her wing that she was constantly picking at. I noticed it last night, and called every vet in the vicinity this morning. Every place I called (about 9-10) including two emergency 24hr vets, turned me down. I called Elmvale as my last hope, and they fit me in. The service was incredible. The receptionist was kind, compassionate, and quick acting to see if she could somehow squeeze me in, on a day when their avian vet typically isn’t in. Luckily enough the avian vet was there, and I was so fortunate that she was able to make time for my bird. Both the technician and vet herself, Dr. M, were absolutely incredible and stayed hours beyond their work schedule to help my poor baby. They gave me a few options for treatment, and were extremely flexible and understanding with my opinions. They called other avian specialists to confirm the best options, and went above and beyond what I’ve ever seen in terms of vet care. I am beyond thankful for this hospital. The price was extremely reasonable too! Thank you so much for your services. I’m hoping my birdy will recover fully, and will definitely recommend this place to others.

Just did another recent trip yesterday and amazing service once again

Took my dog here, they did surgery on her for an unknown mass on her shoulder. No call or check ups after the surgery, she ended up passing away and we’re positive it’s because of negligence they showed towards her after her surgery which in the end had a complication and took her from us weeks later. Owner is just in it for the money, take your precious babies else where

My experience with Elmvale vet was disheartening. I took my African grey to be euthanized due to cancer. I asked questions about their urns. I wanted one that I could open and give some to my daughter. All the ones I picked I was told were sealed. Later that day I called them to change my birds name on the urn. I had to leave his cage there, but was told I could pick it up when I came back to get him. A couple of weeks went by and I hadn’t heard anything, so I called them. I was told yes, I can pick him up. He has been here for a few days. That upset me that no one could call me. Upon my arrival I walked up to the desk and gave my name. They handed me a bag with his remains inside in a urn. I asked them if I could have his cage. So I took a seat to wait. While I was waiting I decided to look at the urn with his name on it. I was upset that they didn’t add to his name as I had asked for. It’s has now been at least a half hour still waiting for them to bring me his cage. The lady that was there when I brought him in was upset that she couldn’t find his cage. She went and grabbed 3 cages and said the best that they could do was offer me one. My eyes teared up. How does one lose someone’s cage? Upset and not wanting to argue, I picked one. I then said, I called back on the day that he was euthanized and asked for his name to be adjusted. She looked at me and said, ok. Just unscrew the top of the urn, take his remains out and we will send it back to be corrected. No compensation for their mistakes. When I came home I explained to my husband what had happened, distraught and out of angry he said “is he even in the urn”? I have called back to the vet and told them that I wanted my cage back and to please go through their list of clients to see if they could track it down. Every time I call they say well we have called a few and nothing yet.
I appreciate that they helped me with my bird. Very, very upset that my birds cage is sentimental to me as it was the last thing I had of him.

Elmvale team - Vets and staff are the best! We have had both of our cats there, and they were both given the appropriate treatment with success. They are professional and knowledgeable. Very patient with my questions, and always friendly. Their affection and gentleness with our fur babies was very obvious. They always gave us a follow up call to check in on progress. I will not go anywhere else. I highly recommend them.

Have been taking my dog here for awhile, staff is generally really great and they're pretty understanding. There was one person working there that seemed a bit rude but haven't seen them since covid started.

Great people and I've been amazed how they can squeeze us in for emergencies even on a weekend! Knowledgeable, thorough and prices are very fair!

We recently visited to have our elderly dog put down.
The staff at Elmvale Veterinary Hospital are wonderful, caring and accommodating people. They handled our issue with respect and dignity.

Im a breeder of Standard Poodles. Called in morning about my 8 week old puppy with a lump coming out of his butt. I was seen same day. Very friendly professional team. Highly recommended this place.

Ken is absolutely the best Vet around, he squeezed my girl in after she had a litter and had some issues, had her back to normal in no time! Thanks so much for caring Ken.

Incompetent people work in this place. They file unnecessary complaints against their clients that waste taxpayers dollars. If you are new to Elmvale, just ask the long time locals about the owner. Find anyplace other than this place to take your pets for their health needs.

My first visit I unfortunately had to euthanize my pup and they made the experience as comfortable for me as they could. The drs. Were informative and upfront with my choices. Scott was amazing when it came to supporting me and Im so grateful for his kind words.

This is a great veterinary hospital. I had a sick puppy quite a few years ago. I had taken him to 3 different vets with out a proper diagnosis. Then I brought him to see Dr. Storimans who diagnosed him quickly. I've been taking my dogs here for about 15 years. Never had any problems. The staff and doctors are very nice and helpful! ️

The staff here are lovely. They took great care of my dog's routine needs. The clinic was clean and comfortable. I got all the information and services I needed at good prices, and didn't feel pressured about anything.

Be careful. They will charge a fortune for unnecessary testing and have you return over and over even when they can fix the problem on the first visit.

Most affordable and friendly service i have found. I called vets from Beaverton, Orillia, Barrie but Elmvale is by far the best. Been with them for a
1 year this March. And very pleased with everything they've done for all our pets

Staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Both our cats have visited them and we will continuing clients with both.

Great experience for our 6 month old pup Rosie. From reception to procedure it was a very friendly, affordable, thorough experience for us all.

I have been going here for 10 years (since we got our German Shepherd Zoey)
We don’t live very close but make the drive because we trust them.
Last month we had to put our girl to sleep (very unexpectedly) and with all of the Covid rules - they made ever effort to make it the best it could be. We very much appreciated it and will never forget that! So a very big thank you to Scott & Dr. Lisa!
This month, our Rottweiler broke his K9 tooth so we decided to have it removed. Dr. Ken (I’m not going to try and spell his last name) did a fabulous job! The surgery went great and he did an awesome job at explaining recovery and post op care! Our boy is back to normal and feeling great! Posting a picture of the tooth below - the thing was HUGE!
I am very surprised by the negative reviews on pricing - as I have always found them to be very fairly priced compared to our local vets and I have NEVER left there feeling pressured to spend more money then I should. I’ve actually had them convince me not to spend money that is unnecessary.
The only complaint I have, which is small - but I’m still going to mention it so maybe it doesn’t happen to anyone else. When we were paying for our German Shepherds cremation- I wanted to pay in cash (as I always do) and Leanne was very rude, rolling her eyes and counting it - making it us very aware that she was annoyed about it. Call us old fashion but cash is still money and we shouldn’t be treated differently for paying with it. The owners have gloves and whatnot at the desk for their safety. So we really didn’t see the huge deal. But, the next time we came in, Priscilla took it no problem and was so sweet!
Besides that minimal situation - I have nothing but amazing things to say!

Took my fur baby for her check up and rabies vaccine. Love the people here.the place is always spotless and no foul smells either!

My mom and me visited the Elmvale vet for my kitten Lily. She had two surgeries done and when we came back to grab a couple more pain pills, we asked how to get Lily to actually take the pill, as she was not very good at keeping them in her mouth. The guy that was helping us (I believe his name was Scott) was very helpful and friendly:).

Everyone here was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and great with our cat. Couldn't recommend highly enough

Dr. Ken was amazing for us when we went through the final years with our 13 year old Weimaraner.he made the experience so much more meaningful and helped us right through to the end of her life. Thanks so much for everything you did for us and Gracie Ken. Tou do your profession honor.
