I had previously been with Emeryville Animal hospital for 22 years. The service, knowledge & professionalism has always been at the highest standard of excellence! Equally important though, is how my fur children have always been treated like one of their own!

The veterinarian was great, you could tell she wanted to make sure my cat was all good before leaving. She had no problem helping me with any issues I brought up even if they were unrelated to my visit and went the extra mile to explain anything I asked. All the staff were very knowledgeable and happy to help me with my cat's needs. Would recommend anyone to this animal hospital. It may be a little pricey but you really do pay for what you get here.

I did the most difficult thing a pet owner ever has to do today - I had to put my elderly, ailing dog down. Her name was Sammie and it was a very difficult and emotional decision to make.

Please exercise caution while dealing with the owner of the Samoyeds, Dan. As for the thief, both male and female, cut off their hands. It is the reward of their own deeds, an exemplary punishment from Allah.

I took my yorkipoo puppy Blu to get groomed for the first time (mind you he was very matted & scruffy due to our call being returned several weeks after our initial inquiry to make a grooming appointment at this location), the groomer called us to come get him as they were only able to shave his body & told us he would need a sedative however they did not offer us a prescription or any sort of further information. We spoke to our vet and picked up a prescription and took him for his second appointment. Again they called us saying he was not complete and we picked the poor guy up half shaved on his head & ears. While I understand the difficult process of grooming a small puppy who is not fully trained, I was hoping we would be met with a recommendation for proceeding seeing as this is a training facility as well as an animal hospital. The staff seemed annoyed with us before we left the last appointment even though we were given little to no information on how to move forward with Blu’s care in a way that is best for him. As annoyed as they were with us, I had at least hoped the puppy’s well being would come first in the scenario. However, they seem to be great with the other patients that I observed being helped while I was there & at first they were all pretty friendly! Just not very informative or helpful from my experience
