Dustin is the guy to see! Knowledgeable, professional, and has been in the business for over 2 decades. Dustin supported us through all phases of the process from deciding on the flooring type and color selection, pricing, and installation. An important fact is that EOTR employ their own installers and don’t subcontract the work. We couldn’t be happier!

Super happy with the product and the service. All the flooring stores I went to before finding End of the Roll didn’t carry any stock! I needed flooring right away and luckily you had something that was good quality for a fair price and that would work in the space. Highly recommend!

A great experience from start to finish! Dustin knew exactly what I was looking for and promptly provided me with colour options and pricing. The installers came a week later and did a great job. Very polite guys that thoroughly explained what they would be doing and how - and left my home spotless when they left!

I wrote the post below and received a response. I wouldn’t normally continue the discussion, but in this case it is warranted. The owners response said that I had dragged my appliances across the vinyl flooring but the flooring ripped from something sitting on it as well as moving it. The owner said I needed to buy something to put under it if appliances are being used. If this is the case fine, but that would have been nice to know before. Don’t recommend a product for something that it is clearly not intended for. If the salesperson had told me all of this at the beginning, I would have chosen something else. This is about customer service. If you make a mistake try to fix it, don’t blame the customer.
I would not buy their vinyl flooring. I told the guy I needed something for my laundry room. He said this was the best product for laundry rooms. I installed it and when I went to put back the washing machine, just lifting it leg by leg, the whole thing ripped like paper. The sales person never said that this would happen and I assumed it was more durable than this. It even caused rips went it was sitting. I called and the guy acted like I was rediculous to assume that it would hold up and told me there was nothing he could do. $200 wasted. He told me if I buy a shirt and it rips when I put it on then I cant expect to return it. We’ll yes I can if it is such bad quality that it rips that easily. Maybe a company should stand behind their products.

I highly recommend the team of Andrew and Guri. They came in and installed the carpet efficiently and were able to complete a difficult job perfectly. Thanks for the job well done!

I would not recommend buying any building supplies from End of the Roll. They constantly reassured me of the excellent customer service they provided, but when it came time to installing my carpet, the installers installed the wrong Color of carpet, made very little effort to clean up the carpet fragments (I know it’s difficult to get them all), they left pieces of carpet for me to dispose of, left their cigarette butts all over my driveway, and now they won’t talk to me about fixing the carpet mistake. Buyer beware!

Local family owned business. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable. They weren’t just looking to make a sale or push upgrades. They showed us around, answered all our questions, made a few recommendations, and then gave us space to compare and mull things over. They seemed to genuinely want us to help find the right flooring solution to meet our needs within our budget. Oh, and we followed their advice, and we love our new flooring!

We wanted nylon carpet. Sales person told us selected carpet was nylon, even though label said polyester. I verified with manufacturer and it is polyester. Estimates went from $4,200, to $5,200, to $5,300, for same dimensions. We went elsewhere.

Jonathan was absolutely fantastic and helped me get the carpeting and continues to help me to get my flooring. And the guys that came and did the installation were absolutely fabulous.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices are good. I bought 2 area rugs and the staff loaded the rugs into my SUV.

I had my new carpeting installed today. I dealt with Dustin in Ottawa west on Bentley and he was great at helping me choose carpeting that worked for me, and I am glad he suggested the premium underpaid. Excellent. Ian and Andrew came to install the carpets. They are hardworking and get the job done quickly, and well. Nice that they were both friendly and tolerant of my noisy little foster dog. Thanks to everyone. Much appreciated!

What a great experience! The sales manager was so helpful and made it so much easier to choose a colour and type of carpet. The installation crew were fantastic! They worked hard all day with only one short break. They were polite, friendly and cleaned everything up perfectly.

Trying to buy carpet during a lockdown is tough. Trying to sell carpet during a lockdown, must be ridiculous.

I knew what I wanted, described it as best I could to Guri, and got exactly what I asked for. The installers were pros, and followed protocols accordingly.

We had phenomenal service from Guri. I bought an investment property and decided to replace the cheap laminate with luxury vinyl planks. Guri was very patient as he had to bring samples outdoors for us to view and select due to covid. He was able to help me figure out the square footage and the whole transaction was seamless. I had a contractor doing the install but he fell behind so I called Guri and he was able to facilitate the basement installation with one of his contractors for the next day. He was always available, quick to return calls and so lovely to work with. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The product itself was excellent and the price point more than fair. Hurry yer butt to End of the Roll and ask for Guri once you get there!:)

Great customer service with very good quality of rugs nd all types of Flooring. I bought my rugs flooring and blinds from End of the roll Store in Ottawa west at Bentley Avenue

The store is very out of the way and a little dingy inside. The staff seem knowledgeable and seem to know their product line well. However, I was very disappointed at the lack of follow-up to some questions I had about confusing installation pricing. It was very difficult to understand their quote for the proposed work. We ended up shopping elsewhere when no reply came.

Amazing service and even better prices. We opted to just purchase carpet as it was an unbelievable price but they also do installation as well. Had to rent a truck to pick up the carpet as they don’t deliver to residences but the price of a u-haul rental and carpet was still way lower than any other carpet place. All staff at the west location were excellent to deal with. Very happy with my purchase.

Staff at the end of the roll were friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about the materials used.
The install was a slightly different story. The install was supposed to happen in the morning (around 10) and he didn't show up until 1. Installing seemed to take forever, with frequent breaks throughout - much longer than previous installs in a different house.
While looking at the job he had finished, we were not pleased with the transition between the bedroom and hallway for one room. He claimed he did the best he could for that room, although it had been perfect for the other two rooms with the exact same transition. In the end he did fix it, but we were unimpressed that he was prepared to leave it as is.

Good for floors they have in stock. At the prices offered you can't expect to go back to them in the future. Personally, I am disappointed they would not talk more.

We were quite happy with the assistance we received in choosing our carpet and pleased with the way it looks!

I've had several purchases at end of roll ottawa and i have been very satisfied with the quality and value of the carpets i purchased. Staff are pleasant, helpful and knoledgeable. The installation of carpet on 2 staircases was well done and on time.

The tiles from beaulieu Canada were very easy to work with. I was able to cut tiles with good quality scissors or with carpet knife.
We laid tiles directly on existing vinyl flooring using two side carpet tape.
The density of this tile and the sharpe square edges make it a good product to work with.

As we all know picking out carpet is stressful. Where to go and how to go about it. Jack the sales rep helped me through from the beginning to the end. He even help load my vehicle with my materials.

I highly recommend end of the roll. Ask for Jack if you need any assistance.

Carpet is okay, but the service was brutal.

Came a week later than promised, a job set to be 3 hours took 7, clean up never happened (carpet shavings all over the house and front walkway), Tim Horton's cups left around the home, and 2 (YES 2) cutting blades found laying around the house!

Have tried for a week to connect with a manager to complain but he's always "out".

Staff are incredibly unaccommodating and unprofessional. They did not look like they wanted to be working in the store or dealing with clientele on the floor. Neither of them at the time I was there were willing to give me samples of various products to show my clients. When I asked to set up a contractor account with them, they told me that was only for "repeat customers". However, they did their best to make sure there was no incentive for me to become a repeat customer. I was stuck purchasing a single pack of their flooring to match what one of my clients already had, but beyond that I will not return. Given that I represent my own brand, and work at customer relations with my clients every day, I was appalled at their lack of courtesy and professionalism. I will admit that the quality of the vinyl flooring I bought was superior to that carried by home depot, but quite comparable to those found at Lowes. Since other flooring depots will stock products of the same quality, I would not recommend shopping here.

Good selection, lots to choose from. The team member there described the business as a Costco for flooring. I was able to find selections of flooring from $2 a square foot and up: laminate, vinyl. Piles of 200 square feet or so are available at a discounted rate. Lots of carpeting too.rolls and rolls of stair carpeting. I'll have to go back.

We were in the unusual position of needing to pick flooring for the entire house but needing it measured, picked out and paid for in about 24 hours. With in an hour of meeting jack, we picked the flooring and 2 hours later (on a Friday evening no less) he had someone measuring the floors! We received the quote early the next day. I was blown away with how reasonable the prices were given the quality of the floors we chose. We are slowly chipping away at installing all the floors. Jack has been very accessible and helpful. We would absolutely recommend End of the roll to anyone. And we have!

Good products good prices, some of the employee like Dustin, doesn't know how to communicate with their clients politely. I came in because of the owner, who is humble and polite, to face a bad attitude in the store.

We dealt with Jack for our carpet installation. We were highly pleased with both the service and the product. The installers were top notch. They were very nice, professional and efficient, and i couldn't have done a better job of cleaning up myself. As for the carpet, it looks amazing! Our basement is completely transformed. The color is perfect and it feels extremely cozy under our feet.

We got such a good price for our two rooms and stairs and the installers were excellent. They were very friendly, efficient, and done in no time. Thank you Dustin for recommending these nice gentlemen.

Dustin was helpful and informative on helping us choose our carpet. The carpet itself was a fair deal and is good overall. However the installation wasn't the best. Some spots were cut too short, the made a few marks on our wall, and they broke our closet door (to be fair it was flimsy already).

Came here for the prices and they were great. Especially being with my carpet installer they provided him (us) with an even bigger discount. The staff were friendly and gave suggestions on what is selling the most and what is best for each different scenario. Definitely a great spot.

We were just scouting for carpets. The prices were reasonable and the gentleman taking care of us was kind, knowledgeable and professional.

I've bought a few products from this company. The initial visit was a bit of a challenge, as the rep seemed like he didn't have the time for you, but once I chatted with him and returned a few times for more product, they were negotiable on price and the service only improved.

Great product for a good price. Sales guys could use a bit more tact, however. Not great to insult your customers.

Customer support after you’ve paid is very poor. This was my second dealing with them. First one wasn’t the best neither but my rep Silvio was nice enough to have me try them again. Their policy to pay 100% in advance before work is done is just bad in so many levels. I’m an real estate agent and I prefer to keep a small amount to pay at end for when the job is completed to avoid having to run after a tradesman. The installers did such a bad job overall that was I shocked. Just to name one issue, they forgot to cut out all the duct vents on the main floor!? I had to call them and have someone come and cut out the vents to allow air to get on the main floor. On top of that one of the rooms the carpet had a small tear which I reported right away and I had to do a lot of back and forth with angry phone calls to finally get them to come and repair before the house sells this week. What a stressful 3 weeks Of running after them to get them to repair what they did poorly 3 weeks ago. Unacceptable and just bad customer service!

I needed to replace the carpet in my basement so I called End of the Roll and spoke with Jack. He was very friendly and promised to take the measurements on his day off which was the next day. He explained that he usually takes measurements for his jobs on his days off so I said o.k.
He took my contact information and set an appointment for next day.
The next day I waited but he never called nor showed up.
Today I called the store to speak with Jack to determine why he did not come to take measurements. I was told that Jack is with anothet customer and he would call me when he was off the phone. Several hours later after not having heard from Jack I called the store once again. This time I was told that Jack had left for the day. I guess Jack doesn't need me as a customer so I will be going to another company to purchase my flooring. Thanks for nothing Jack!

I am a small contractor who is always very busy. I purchased $4500.00 of laminate flooring to do the floor in my own home. All the product was kept in my basement but do to not having time to install it I had the product for 4 months before installing. I finally got around to doing the floor and had approximately $300.00 worth of perfectly good product that was not needed. When I asked if I could return it, the answer was flat out NO. I was a little disappointed because I have always recommended to my clients to shop at End of the Roll, but now I will not be referring any one. Its too bad that $300.00 would end a decent relationship. Home Depot would have taken the product back, so I will be shopping there now.
