This clinic has been good to me for the past 5 years. The doctors here have helped me with past cases of strep throat, eye infection, body checkups, bloodwork, etc. The front desk definitely have room for improvement but we also don’t understand the pressure they encounter everyday! Being super professional vs get my sh*t taken care of I would go with get my stuff taken care of any day!
Walked in on a holiday and clinic was thankfully open. Was able to see a doctor faster than I expected, which was great. Doctor had great bedside manners and was thorough. All the staff was polite. Had a great experience and will be coming back for walk-ins!
Dr. Yu is an amazing doctor, but I sure wish that the people who work at the front desk can have the same professionalism, easy to approach attitude, and good common sense.
1) the phone is constantly occupied, with the voice mails being heavily backlogged. I understand that there are only a set amount of people working at the front desk, but two days without a reply to a simple question of mine in the voicemail (asking about their walk in hours) seemed very unacceptable.
2) My girlfriend went to see Dr. Yu for a walk in appointment because her rhinitis has been acting up for more than 3 weeks now, and over the counter medication didn’t seem to help. Instead of assisting her with the appointment right away, the front desk people asked her to do a self Covid test on the spot, claiming that congestion could be a symptom of Covid. I understand that perspective, but Covid does not last longer than 3 weeks as I’ve tested positive for it myself back in August. Not to mention that it is allergy season right now as Spring is approaching. And to charge her money for the Covid test while places like Shoppers give them out for free? Unbelievable.
So yeah. Definitely think twice about coming here for any checkups. The doctors are for sure great people with amazing skill sets, but the people at the front desk don’t seem to harness any of that, not even simple common sense.
I would give this a 10 stars if I could. I always have a great experienced in this clinic, they provide good advice and care for their clients I never had like one problem in this clinic. Plus, you do not have to wait long unlike any other clinics and the Doctors, receptionist & pharmacist are really nice! <33
I’ve been going to this doctors office for a couple years now despite hearing about how unprofessional it is and I was really rooting for it but this is the last straw. I saw a walk in doctor this morning and got a blood test requisitioned. I was given no instructions after the visit. I was just told I needed a blood test. Having gotten blood tests requisitioned before, I knew I had to get the requisition form so I asked for one from front desk. Had I not known this I would have just gone home from the lack of instruction. Front desk was disorganized and had to figure out the forms I needed printed. Once I got my forms they again told me nothing and I went to the blood lab to get my blood drawn. It was here that I was told that I needed to fast for 12 hours. I called the doctors office to confirm this because it was the first time I had heard this. Then the receptionist proceeded to gas light me saying that she had told me and even pointed out on the form that I needed to fast for 12 hours. I think I would have remembered that if I were told. I can handle the lack of professionalism. What I cannot tolerate is the lying and gas lighting. The way this office is run is embarrassing and unacceptable.
Very unprofessional and rude customer service. You have to understand when a person is stepping to your walk-in clinic they are already not feeling well and instead of making it easier for patients you make them feel even more terrible. The receptionist is very disrespectful. Pls dont name your self a walk in clinic when you cant see a doctor. Plus they are biased to asian patients only. If you are asian they will gladly help you if not you can be dead as far as they are concerned. If someone afraid to say it. I am the one who will say it. We are in canada and racism has no place in here. The fact that i am not feeling well at all and for a “walk-in clinic” ignorant receptionist that doesnt know what she is doing and just be because you look unhappy and miserable pls dont give this energy to patient who wants to get better. Plus you look like you are not well yourself how come the put frontline yourself. What a face to messed up clinic. If anything happen to me im gonna make sure i file a law suit against you whole organization or whatever you call it
For simple urinary tract infection symptoms they kicked me out because their doctors won’t accept patients with fevers. The covid screening process is not required any more in Ontario but their doctors are more valuable than patients. How about Hippocratic oath? I went to another clinic (MediOne physicians steeles family practice) they accepted me right away, the urine test was done on the spot and i went home with the antibiotics within 30 min.
I have been to this clinic for over a year now. They always treated their patients nicely and gently. Especially Angela (Dr. Yu’s team), she’s always been very helpful, professional and informative. She made me feel reassured all the time. I don’t understand why their reviews are so low but I love this place. Close by and professional.
Ive been here twice. I've never waited more than 20 minutes to see a doctor or NP and I was treated with respect and kindness both times.
A general rule of thumb about health care workers, is if you are nice to them they are nice to you. I think that says something about some of these negative reviews.
It is the worst clinic that I have ever been, they don’t know how to communicate with patients. They are putting patients in a stressful situation with their attitude.
I called to see how long the wait would be for a walk-in appointment for my daughter. They told me it wouldn't be long as there were 2 patients already being seen and I would be next. I ended up waiting for almost 2 hours.
I have been going to Enhanced Care Thornhill for several years. The front desk staff and nurses are very friendly and helpful. My doctor, Dr Yu, is an amazing physician. Extremely competent and knowledgeable. Stays with you until all your questions have been answered. Highly recommend Enhanced Care Thornhill.
I am just happy to know I will never go back there. Even my new doctor couldn't believe the files they kept, when I finally said enough is enough! I just wish a 0 rating was allowed!
I wish it was possible to give a place 0 stars. This place is HORRENDOUS! I booked my fiance a rapid test, and he showed up on time at 10AM where they didn't let him through the door and told him to go back to his car. He called them from the car, on hold waiting for someone to pick up for about 20 minutes, keep in mind - when he went to the door, it was empty with no one even at the desk. After a hard time and them telling him they dont have him in the system for an appointment even though he showed them his confirmation email AND already pre-paid online - they finally figure it out and do his test. A rapid test is supposed to be 15-30 minute results MAX. He has now been waiting for OVER an hour and still nothing. I know times are desperate to try and get an urgent COVID test but you are still better off not coming here.

The center has its TV on in the waiting room on high volume. It is constantly bombarding waiting patients with news and tons of imposing advertisements. I have emailed the general manager and suggested playing soft and calming music with no commercials if they actually have to have a background noise. They acknowledged my concern and request for peace and quiet but the next time I had an appointment it was the same thing. In the examination rooms you can hear commercial radio with music. I was told this is to ensure the conversation between patients and Dr.s is not overheard as the walls are not soundproof. I find this disturbing especially in a medical center. It makes me feel worse than how I felt upon my arrival and gives me a headache.
I reached there with my 18 months baby by 2: 25 pm Sunday, Nov 3,2019.the Clinic was open (till 3: 00 PM), and Doctor were there with on patient, however the Doctor refuse to visit my baby. I asked the receptionist to kindly request, however she said, Doctor those not care, and would not see your baby. I never ever seen in my life, a Doctor refuse to help baby.
The clinic ignores appointment requests. Followed website instructions for appointment booking - Made several requests for an appointment over the course of a week. Still have not heard back from the front desk.
This clinic is amazing. I highly recommend Dr Weerantanga. She has been very helpful and has excellent patient care. The office administrative staff is awesome!
My family see Dr. Yu who is the most caring, professional doctor we have ever seen. I suffer from chronic back pain. He always refers me to the best people. He also orders diagnostics as soon as needed. I have never had a long wait as I am not a difficult patient and my doctor is always friendly opening conversations easily. We highly recommend this clinic.
Although the doctors are ok the staff is a disaster the pharmacy is even a bigger disaster they never have any medication and have to wait at least two days for things to arrive. The girl who took my blood literally pulled the needle out so unprofessionally that blood dripped all over the floor and she wiped it with some used Kleenex. They don’t even have masks at the front and u have to ask for one I guess Their way of saving money. Anyways the place is horrible I hope they lose their place and more competent people replace them.
The wait for the walk in isn't horrible, the staff are very knowledgeable and the doctors are fantastic. Dr. Yu especially actually listens and wants to help.
Doctor is nice and friendly, staff is ok no issues with them. Wait time for me was very short compared to other places I've been, but I also had made an appointment which made a difference.
The front desk was really disastrous. Nobody answered questions, 2 guys made phone calls more than half hour at reception. We had appointments but still waited for more than 1hour. The receptionist’s attitude was extremely bad. Oh my gash! Doctors were professional and patient, but nurses were on the opposite side. Disappointed!
I would like to thank Angela, who is not a physician but as she introduced herself a physician assistant. She is a very responsible, and caring person and takes her time to tend to patients. She got a job done whereas a few previous visits to the clinic with other physicians was futile without any result. I wish her luck and success in all her endeavors.
I am a patient of this clinic and I think its medical staff is great. However this review is for the administrative staff and the girl that does the blood work. The people in front have a very unprofessional attitude, never answer the phone, they ask you to leave a message to make an appointment and don't return your call. Also the girl that does the blood work every time ends up hurting me and this has happened to couple of my friends as well even though I have very good veins. I have to do my bloodwork somewhere else which is very inconvenient. Its a shame that I have to avoid going to this clinic as much as I can because of the staff and not the doctors.

There was not a single person in a clinic and i still had to wait for 30 minutes. Then a physician assistant came in saying she will be examining me and doctor will be called if required. I have asked for a doctor but he/she never showed up. Snd they swipe your OHIP! Also they are totally unprofessional. Diagnosted wrongly. Prescribed an unappropriate procedure. Will Never go there again
Called to book an appointment, the recording said I had to book online. Went to their website, booked the appointment, and after people from this office calling me to book the appointment on the phone.why you guys make people to waste their time? And then I had the appointment with their ENT Dr. Busato and he showed up late to the appointment, said everything was pshycological and when he saw I was mad then he changed the movie, gave me some sprays and asked me to come in a month, and at the end of the appointment he confessed he was leaving the clinic, so I will meet anyways with someone else.means he just wanted to get rid of me because he did not care at all about the last patients he was seeing. All in all, a huge lack of professionalism from both, front desk and doctors. Please go away from this place, I already request to change facility to be treated.
Very unprofessional and unorganized place. I just waited over an hour in a room waiting for my family doctor to show up at which he didn't, and the place was not busy at all. I was the only person waiting in the whole clinic. Never again am I stepping in that place again. Looking for a new family doctor immediately.
The front desk is the disaster, especially an Asian lady is very mean and very rude. I never met such a horrible customer service in Canada. Even though the Drs.in this clinic are pretty good, but unless you really don't know English, please try other clinics. I don't know why Enhanced Care hired this lady for professional service since she doesn't know the Canadian Values.
Been seeing my previous family doctor for 5 years in Bathurst Clinic, normal waiting there is more than 3hours even you have appointment time and they only check/talk to patients not longer than 3minutes. They said i have no any issues about my complain pain. But when i went to Enhance clinic just to accompany a friend i ended up having myself checked while i wait. On that same day, i was reffered to a dermatologist and a surgeon for two diffirent issues. I was treated right away and the treatment lasted more than a year on my right hand and my left hand (ring finger) tumor had been removed after a week of my visit to Enhance, i was so happy and greatful about the outcome. I suffered pain for the longest time and only this clinic diagnosed what was really going on with me. I know me and my family are in good hands here.
Unbelieveable! I have been calling for 3 days to get my results which are already 5 days old and then i called dyancare to find out they had my results 2 days after the tests were done and are still telling me they dont have it! Shameful! And now even worse! Dynacare has told me they have faxed the results to the clinic and yet the clinic is saying they still dont have them, and maybe it is a failed fax! What is wrong with this!? I have never had worse customer service from any clinic and at the first visit i was told they would call me with the results and now they are saying "when" the results show up i must see the doctor again.and now i find out the disconnect was the clinic entered my birthdate completely incorrectly and therefore my results have gone awall! Thank you dyncare for helping me sort this out.finally after 2 more calls to the receptionist and demanding to speak to the clinic manager i received a phone call with my results as i was told i would have, and no apology for the delay of 3 days or mistake with recording my birthday completely incorrectly.shame that one can not receive decent care in a timely manner without having to fight to get answers.if i had not called myself 3 x to dynacare to hunt down why my results which were ready friday were stil, not available on tues i would likely never get a call from the clinic, if they cared they would have followed up directly.one and only visit to this clinic shame!
Pathetic clinic, no professional service, they will not inform you for days even after your lab results have come.you will have to call 5-6 times to someone to attend your call. No communication to DR possible without prior appointment, no customer feedback or escalation system exist. Don't go, if you are dying then better to die rather being in pain for so long!
Really professional and topnotch workers who are working as hard and fast as they can as this piece can get a bit busy. Be prepared to wait a bit but the service is worth it. They're quick with paperwork and getting back to you with test results, plus there's a radiology clinic right across the street. Thanks to the amazing physician's assistant who was very determined to get that tiny and elusive piece of glass out of my foot, I appreciate your great work, guys, keep it up!
Staff at this clinic are very unprofessional and incompetent. Saw a specialist back in February and was told I needed additional tests. After waiting 3 months I called to find out why I had not received a referral yet. Lady at the front desk had no answers for me but said she would get back to me, she never did. Called again on more than one occasion and after another 2 months had passed she finally got back to me to say they would not be sending me for more tests. I asked her to send the paperwork to my family doctor to explain why, of course they never sent the paperwork. Decided to go to the U. S.for treatment, was able to get an appointment right away. Avoid this place, they do not care about their patients.
In short: This place DOES NOT care about your health! Go somewhere else.
Full: The wait time was great - there was only 1 other person beside my friend and myself. The front desk was actually kind to me, unlike the other reviews I read here. They were great and helpful. BUT, I had a very UNPLEASANT experience with the doctor. Unless you live within a 3 minutes walking distance and cannot go to any other walk-in clinic by any other means, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
The vibe I got from the doctor was that they seemed unprofessional and was just in a rush to get me out the door. It was a "what do you have? Okay, here's the prescription. "
I also had to get a check-up for something on the same day. The doctor's instructions were "Go to the bathroom and everything will be there. " Leaving me confused. Upon going to the bathroom, nothing was there. I went back to the room, the doctor was gone. After waiting about 5 minutes by the bathroom, the girl in the front desk finally saw me waiting and helped me.
As for waiting for the results, it has been almost a month. 29 DAYS to be exact and still not a word. (Estimated time for other clinics is 3 business days to 7 business days.) At this point, I do not want to hear from them. I don't think I can even trust the results they give me, if I even get it at all.
GO TO A DIFFERENT CLINIC. They will actually look at what you think you have, give you tips & tricks on how to take care of it, but mostly they will call you back much faster than 29 days & still counting.
By the way, I am trying to call the clinic to see why there is such a delay with getting the results to my check-up and can't reach anyone on the phone.
