From ordering swatches online to visiting Byward to see the floor model, to tracking shipment, purchasing through EQ3 has been a most pleasant experience. The quality of product and service is worth the cost (and I mean that as someone for whom such furniture is a special purchase). I felt respected as a customer from beginning to end. This is not something I write lightly.

BE CAREFUL WHEN PURCHASING!

I LOVE EQ3 and its products. The staff and sales people are nice but I got a damaged rug. When I spoke to customer service they offered to refund my delivery fee ($99 for a rug that over $1000!) or exchange my rug for another rug thats a alot more expensive and I would be responsible for paying the differnce in cost just because my rug is sold out! I'm extremely disappointed by the service I got after spending a decent amont at EQ3. Now I'm force to keep a damaged rug since I cant spend double or tripple the amount I paid for my rug on a exchange.

The delivery people left a mess in my home and made my freshly painted walls stained with dirt. After wiping off the stains on my walls it will still not come off. Will need to hire someone to paint over it. Very disappointing.

Our experience with EQ3 Ottawa — from browsing the store, to selecting fabrics and materials, customer service, and delivery — has been incredible. At the store, Nate Fedorchuk asked us all the right questions, and with great care helped us create a living space that's perfectly us. He suggested combinations and materials we would have never had the vision to try on our own, helped us figure out the perfect proportions, and his care and confidence allowed us to fully trust him. Wow! Did that trust pay off! Our furniture arrived a couple of weeks ago, and we are LOVING our living space! Huge thanks, Nate! You've made the new place become our home.

The quality of the furniture is incredible. Real craftsmanship! We are SO happy with our purchase. The entire EQ3 team have all been super professional - from the store team, to customer service, and shipping. We are delighted with our recent purchase.

We have a few items that we purchased at EQ3 6+ years ago and they are all looking brand new and we continue to enjoy them, so when it came time to buy new living room furniture, we knew this would be the right place for us.

Good products quality was above expectations and turn around was quick. Service from sales 5 stars.

Service from manager was terrible. Just needed to exchange one minor item for something similar. 2 hrs on the phone of the manager trying to find loop holes to screw me into not being able to return it. To the point where I just gave up apparently I should’ve called a different department for returns and not the store but I wasn’t told that in the beginning I was only told after two hours of me, sitting there, pleading my case on the phone that I simply need a little bit of help to exchange something.

What this does is basically just tell me next time only buy things from here. If you know 100% you’re not gonna have any issues. Otherwise, if there’s a risk of any kind, you’re better off going somewhere else because the after service might be an issue the second time around.

Ever had the feeling you need new furniture but don't know where or how to start? That feeling evaporated when we met Nathan at EQ3. He is brilliant, knowledgeable, experienced and a gem of a person. We are thrilled with what we purchased and the effort he went to show us what would work best in our space. He sees the end result and can effectively communicate it so that we could see it too. Easily the most comfortable we have felt with a home improvement project!

I bought a OSKAR sectional a few weeks ago, and while I won’t receive it for a few more months, the service at this store made the wait worth it. Nate was knowledgable and extremely patient (over multiples visits) as he helped me pick out the model and upholstery that would fit with the features in my apartment. He’s super friendly, attentive to the needs of his client and overall a delight to deal with!

I could not recommend more!

Great experience at this location. 3 floors with a wide variety of show pieces and wall of fabric styles so you can really get a feel for what material you want and in what colour. I was helped by Nate Fedorchuk who took his time to explain the different qualities of leather, what the different grades meant, and how they are processed. He was responsive, well informed, kind, and very helpful. Overall we had a great experience and got exactly what we wanted.

Highly recommend this location and brand!

I spent quite some time in the store picking out dining chairs. And there are a lot of stairs to go up and down.

So I was pretty disappointed when they wouldn't make an exception to their "no bathrooms for customers" to this very obviously very pregnant customer.

The many staff (none of whom wore masks) explained that it's because of covid ‍️.

Don't think I will bother going back. Which is a shame, they actually have very nice dining chairs.

We were served by Nate and we had amazing service. I went there 3 days in a row, spending hours at a time and he was so patient, answered all of my questions and was very helpfull to pick the exact fourniture that suited our needs. I would recommand EQ3 and Nate to everyone!

I had to go through 3 different sets of Lyla Chairs due to paint quality control issues. EQ3 did refund the order, however the quality issues seem to have gone beyond just the paint. One of the legs on my chair snapped in half while I was sitting on it. Very dangerous!

Shoutout to Alex for helping me pick a new rug for my space. He was super knowledgeable about various materials, designs and what would be right for my space. Super honest about promotions, floor models and when I would be able to get the best price. Also really knows all the herman miller furniture that they sell.

We were very pleased with our experience with EQ3
The delivery guys in particular were very experienced and strong! This particular appartement was difficult to navigate and they were cool about it.
Important details about our purchase were shared with us. They seemed very proud of the product. Delivered and installed with a friendly demeaner and kind smiles!
Very pleased with these two fellows who made a good impression for sure!

Beautiful products, poor customer service. Had my sectional sofa delivered early which was a nice surprise, delivery guys were great but the sofa's came with brackets put in the wrong place so the pieces don't connect. I wrote customer service immediately, a ticket was opened and it has been over a week since I have heard anything. I have written back twice asking for an update and nothing. No phone call, no email update, nothing.

Cru and Jody were friendly, efficient and conscientious during our EQ3 delivery! They went above and beyond to ask if we had felt pads and then added them to the bottom of our furniture to protect our floors. They even made friends with our dog while they were here! Thank you!

EQ3 customer service is superb from A to Z. Starting with Isla at the store who helped us with our purchase, to Jessica who helped us find the right items for our home, to Lucie at the warehouse who was super accommodating and communicative, and finally the delivery “Cru” who were efficient and timely. It was a team effort and the EQ3 team affirmed we made the right decision. Beautiful furniture and beautiful customer service. Thank you Team EQ3!

The staff at the Ottawa store (David and Isla) were helpful; the in-home design consultation with Jessica was very useful for finalizing my choices; the delivery and assembly by Cru and Jason was smooth and efficient! I’m very pleased with my new living room and will be returning to EQ3 in the future.

We recently had a really great experience with the folks at EQ3 in Ottawa. About 10 years, ago we purchased a couch from EQ3 and unfortunately, the frame failed. We asked whether it was covered by the warranty, and it was, even with all the wear and tear. We came into the Ottawa location to have a look at options, and talked to David Andrade, the store manager. Despite the fact it was super-busy the day we came in, David was really helpful and professional, and encouraged us to make sure we got a suitable replacement. James and Isla were also really helpful during several trips to the store, and (after we arranged to get a new couch) even the delivery guys were really cheerful. Not sure the picture does it justice, but it is a great new look!

Amazing experience. I ordered my new couch on Thursday and it was delivered the following day by 2 of the loveliest fellows - both Cru and Jason were friendly, efficient and left no traces (boots off, garbage removed, no damage to walls/floor). Very impressed with the entire experience and I love my couch too! 6 star rating, if i could.

15mins to close and shut down the up stairs of your store, absolutely horrible customer service.

This should be addressed by a manager, your store is not that big, people can get through the up stairs in like 5-10mins.

Really disappointed in the store. They close at 5 and 8 was window shopping to one back at a later date.that being said the customer service representative advised me at quarter to 5 that the upstairs is closed.well needless to say they wont get my business morning forward. I have also now walked away and written a review and stil have 8 minutes before it closes. What a shame.

We asked Jessica Helferty to come to our new home after browsing EQ3 for furniture options for our great room. We had ideas of what we liked and we wanted to confirm it would make good sense in our space. She came well prepared with samples of fabric to help us choose the best colour for our sectional. She was excellent at reading our tastes and gave us some other ideas for the great room as well as other rooms in the house. We are so happy with our sectional, as well as the coffee tables we got to add to the look. We would highly recommend Jessica for a consultation in your home! There’s no cost and no obligation to purchase anything and she’s excellent at what she does!

** Update: replacement items came and replaced.

Jody and Kru were great, friendly and funny and most importantly took care of my home while moving and installing.

Jessica Gagnon helped a lot with designing.

David Andrade the GM is also quite friendly.

Thanks for the delivery I appreciate it.

However some of my items came damaged and defective, have yet to hear back of replacement and delivery.

Will update once that is sorted out.

I was about to comment on my amazing experience with the general Manager David, but I now feel the need to write this in response to "Allie Militky's" review of Eq3 in Ottawa's Byward Market.

As a long time and loyal customer of this specific EQ3 location, I am not shocked that some one as rude as you would think that this was insulting in some kind of way. I do not see the need to snivel like a child and write a poor review, I instead, understand that it takes ALOT to keep that store in check. You are more then welcome to go at any other open hour, yet you choose just before closing. I can already see the problem. The team at Byward Market EQ3 work tirelessly to make sure that each customer is paid attention to and feverishly works towards a stellar customer service experience. No matter who you may run into when you walk into their doors, you will feel at home. If you feel slighted, then maybe its best you don't walk back through their doors. There have been more times then I can count, that a staff member has gone above and beyond to assist their customers. I will defend Eq3 Byward market's staff as they are fantastic at their jobs. I know I'll be back again and again. Thanks, EQ3 team, for all your hard work!

Absolutely beautiful furniture, lamps, carpets and accessories (not for the frugal spender haha) but very nice quality and great service. Furniture is all made in Canada which is always great and justifies spending a bit more for quality and keeping fine manufacturing jobs at home. Modern European style; totally worth checking out.

Absolutely the best client experience with Abdul Bacchus for the purchase of our sectional couch, chair/ottoman, floor lamp and stools. Beyond his friendly and down-to-earth demeanour, he was a real pleasure to deal with. It was like talking to a friend in a relaxed setting. One of the things we appreciated most about dealing with Abdul was the total lack of pressure tactics and guilt-inducing sales pitches - the opposite of what we had experienced in several other big-box furniture stores. He listened carefully when we explained what we were looking for and was very understanding if we didn't agree with his suggestions. He was forthright when we wanted something that the store could not provide or make, and did not try to convince us we wanted something else. He was not at all pushy, which put us at ease right away. However, Abdul knew his stuff inside and out, and sent the store's designer, Jessica, out to our condo to help us figure out the appropriate furniture dimensions and layout for our space. Jessica was also extremely attentive, understanding and helpful. We ended up taking a number of her suggestions. They both provided us with fabric samples and detailed printouts of the furniture suggestions we'd discussed. A 15% furniture sale was on the weekend we started looking, but Abdul assured us that we didn't have to rush and make a decision before the end of the weekend to benefit from the discount. He said he understood the process can take time and he was true to his word. After a few more trips to the store, we made our final decision and Abdul applied the discount, as promised, no questions asked. He also reviewed everything with us thoroughly to make sure we understood what we were were getting, knew what to expect and were satisfied. We are anxiously awaiting our delivery in a few weeks but are confident that Abdul will be able to resolve any issues to our satisfaction, should any arise. We wholeheartedly recommend purchasing from this EQ3 location and, above all, dealing with Abdul.
