Furniture quality is mediocre at best (for the price point). Customer service is average, making clients feel like EQ3 are doing you a favour rather than standing behind their products. In store help is just as bad. They are almost reluctant to answer questions or help you. It feels very transactional like they couldn’t be bothered to be there unless you want to checkout. Not sure if other locations have a similar experience. The furniture looks good and is stylish but when it comes to quality, price point and customer experience, I don’t think it’s worth the headache.

We are moving to a condo and needed new furniture. After much research, I found EQ3 design and style modern and beautiful. After visiting the King East location in Toronto, we purchased a Replay sofa, two Arie chairs, a Harvest dining table and a side table. They were able to hold the order until we have a firm moving date. During the order-on-hold time, I was able to make a few changes to the order. Jeff there is very knowledgeable and helped me deciding on the right fabric/colour combination. We can't wait to see the furniture in our space.

Just received a table with 2 bar stools and absolutely love it! Very trendy but still sturdy. I was very happy that the delivery came within about 10 days from ordering.

Don’t buy…the post sale customer care/warranty here is just a joke. For a $1899 dining table get stained by WATER after 2months of purchase and sadly has been determined as ‘misused’ because I used wet cloth to wipe the dining table lol.

Dropped in for a browse recently. Loved the style of furniture. I was looking for a new bed frame found one. The staff member Joel help me with my purchase he was very informative. Bought the bed and can’t wait until it arrives. I will be back to purchase a few other items. Kind regards, Joan

The staff helped us with picking the sofa and fabric and placed the order in store. We were given 8-12 weeks for delivery and the sofa arrived just over 8 weeks later. Great communication and friendly staff

Absolutely terrible service. I was waiting for my table for 2 months! 2 months! And then it comes damaged! And i need to wait a few weeks for a replacement now, it's aboslutely terrible and unacceptable level of service in 2023.especially for your price range. The only bright spot are good customer support representatives.

When I picked up a boxed item earlier this week I was already carrying two bags and also had a backpack. At least three staff watched while I, a 72-year-old, struggled down the stairs with this awkward box and my other items, not offering to help. What kind of service is that?

We ordered a made to order couch on boxing day. The couch came within the delivery window and the delivery company was really excellent bringing the couch exactly when they said they would and set it up quickly. The couch itself is beautiful, comfortable and of high quality.

EQ3 King Street is a great place to look for good quality and beautiful modern furniture (and, I believe, made in Canada too!). The show floor spaces throughout the store are wonderfully done to give you great ideas on how to put together a lovely space for your home. Worth mentioning, absolutely, is the experience that I had with Jesse, a wonderful and lovely sales rep, who was joyous, patient, kind, and professional. Very important, as well, is his immaculate sense of design. His knowledge about colours, styles, materials, etc.puts you at ease and gives you the confidence that the purchase you are making crosses all your t's. Provide your parameters and Jesse will work hard to meticulously help you put together options. I would not hesitate to shop at EQ3 again, yes, because of the furniture, but also, most definitely, because of Jesse. Full stop.

I have always loved EQ3 products as their furnitures tend to be both stylish and practical. But having the right sales associate to assist you who can make great recommendations can make a huge difference. Working from home for the past year and likely many more months to come has caused me intense back pain regardless of what ergonomic products I used. Joel, who was attentive and took the time to understand what my needs were, recommended the Aeron Chair. I had previously heard of this chair but was never properly explained all its features and options to the extent that Joel had. You can tell a sales associate is not all about sales quota when he or she recommends what products suit your needs as oppose to selling you the highest price tag item or solicit you to purchase add-on features that you probably don't need. I don't often write reviews but would highly recommend Joel as the chair he recommended is one of the best investment I have made in a while as I no longer feel lower back pain or tension while I work when I'm sitting on the chair. Thank you Joel for your recommendation!

Fantastic buying experience, Jesse King went above and beyond in helping us buy our couch and make the best decision. Jesse had answers to all our questions and was always available if we had any queries. Jesse deserves a raise.

The couch we bought is the 'OSCAR' model, it is to our liking and looks pretty good in our living space. Thank you Jesse and EQ3, will certainly be back to buy more from you guys.

Bought a Herman Miller office chair with Celina - she's not only friendly, but also extremely knowledgeable and professional.

She explained me the difference among the 3 chairs I was considering - Cosm, Embody, and Aeron. While all the 3 chairs were great, Celina paid attention and was checking which chairs gave me the best posture and the fit based on my body frame, and I was very happy that she took the time.

Excellent in product knowledge, very friendly, professional.

Priced quite fairly, especially compared to other furniture stores in the area. Stuff is trendy and appealing, bought a pull out couch and it’s made out of a very good material. Would shop again!

Everyone I've dealt with at EQ3 has been nothing short of helpful and courteous. In-store all our questions were and answered and Vanna provided some great advice. Jeffrey processes our order a few days after and was super prompt and helpful in getting it sorted. Really pleased.

I love the furniture at EQ3. However my experience with the delivery and service has just been horrible!

At first look the couch looks stunning. However at a closer look you can see all the mistakes they made.

They have been to my house twice now. They can't seem to put my custom sofa together properly and damaged it the first time they tried to repair it.

The first time they delivered the couch and didn't actually attach the hatch to secure the two pieces. On the second visit 6 weeks later he didn't attach the latch properly and there are several inches difference in the two pieces.

I am blown away at such a poor delivery and assembly by EQ3. We had to schedule another visit by someone.
Maybe 3rd times a charm!

Great Products, Good Customer Service.
I initially purchased a superb couch with a set delivery date, but there were some delays in receiving it. I finally received the product and I'm very satisfied with it. I was contacted by Customer Service and they were very responsive in assisting me for additional purchases!

Very high touch retail experience, in helping us buy our sectional sofa and Herman Miller chair. Our salesperson remembered our preferences from the first visit, without us having to start from the beginning. She was very efficient and attentive, without being pushy.

So went buying there today a house warming gift.
The store was pretty much empty (me and 2 other people) with 3 or 4 staff members.
Then when went to pay for the items, I asked this girl who was at the cashier if I can pay here, she vaguely nodded "yes", then was standing there for like 7 minutes while she was doing something on her computer (no eye contact, no talking.super weird- just avoiding me). Then another staff member saw I was waiting long next to her, and asked if I have been helped. I told him I'm not sure as this was a completely bizarre situation.

So I thought to myself- okay, nice I'm getting helped.
I pulled out cash to pay and he gave me this full of attitude look, and said in a very disrespected tone - "we do not accept cash here! " As if I was dirty or something.
I understand the entire covid situation, you could decline nicely. (And no it's not obvious, me as a business owner would not say no to any money during these rough times. And it's not a small item purchase like coffe).
Then when asked him if I can get a gift receipt he answered "no, I've already printed the receipt".
A) You knew it's a gift, as I was asking if he could wrap it before I paid. So giving extra care for details isn't very hard.
B) If you really wanted to give a decent customer service, worst case scenario is to refund the item and do it all over again. Yet you didn't.

Tbh, I just wanted to get out of there asap. So I immediately left and will never come back. Very negative purchasing environment period.
I feel bad for rating a business with 1 star, as it is something I've never done, and specifically during these hard times. But it is what it is.

And I was thinking to myself about buying a couch from them next month haha -> NO THANK YOU!

The furniture is not worth the money, speaking from Eros all experience. It does look nice for everything we bought was the same if not worse quality than Structure, for instance.

Bought a leaning/ladder-style bookshelf from this location and we've really liked it so far! Only complaint about the product is that the buttons (to cover the holes where the screws were installed) have a bit of a tough time staying in place. Otherwise, it was very easy to put together and it's a beautiful piece!

My dislike about our experience was the service. We interacted with about 4 employees there altogether and most of them (all but 1) were a bit rude. Felt like we were wasting their time or a cause of inconvenience both times we went there; we were there the first time pick a piece & had to place an order because the colour we wanted wasn't in stock, then a second time to pick-up the order itself.

Overall, I'd still return, but perhaps a bit reluctantly. I might even opt to just see the product in-store, but order online to avoid any person-to-person interaction with them altogether.

Did not feel pressured or up sold through the process and definitely would recommend heading into a store versus ordering online if you can!

I enjoy shopping at eq3. The layout is easy to navigate and to see all aspects of the pieces. The sales staff aren’t pushy and know what they’re selling. The overall experience from first glance to ordering has gone well. Delivery of my product still to come.

No warranties. I bought a EQ3 wooden table less than a year ago and after 6 months I observed some cracking and widening at the joints. I took some photos and asked for a warranty repair. EQ3 said you bought it from a retailer (Hudson Bay) and it is not our problem anymore. This is what I received from the retailer (Hudson Bay) : " I am emailing to advise you that the auditors have reviewed your service request and have deemed your claim to be out of policy as they stated this is part of the natural characteristics of the product.
Variations in color and pattern are part of the natural characteristic of oak and should be celebrated, these variations allow each piece to be unique Due to the fact that solid wood is a live material, it is sensitive to changes in climate and moisture, small cracks may occur over time. "

My husband and I just moved to Toronto and needed to furnish our living room, we worked with Victoria at the king street location and she was phenomenal! So helpful and patient with us and really made sure that we loved our purchase (which we do!) can not wait to continue to work with Victoria to create our dream space!

We had an amazing experience at EQ3 King Street with Joel! He was like having a personal interior designer and because of his help and thoughtfulness we ended up buying most of our furniture with EQ3. He went above and beyond! We also LOVE our Replay Sofa and Marcel Bed and we can't wait to get our accent chairs and sectional sofa! Thank you Joel and EQ3:)

Came in and the staff were incredibly helpful, they made everything so easy and left with a purchase when we really just came to look around.

They shipped us the furniture in a few weeks and even have a team of people to come set it up in your home (they were also great) and for a VERY reasonable price.

Can't say enough about them, will 100% be back for more in the future.

Celina and Jeff were incredibly helpful and patient (particularly with our kids running around). They helped us pick the right material and didn’t pressure us at all. Of course we were salivating at the 5 year fabric protection - I hope it’s as good as it sounds.

Our bed came damaged and their customer service team takes their time responding to our inquiry. For over a week I've had 5 boxes taking up my entire condo and I still don't have a resolution. Looks like they use a cheap delivery service so I would not shop here again. Very disappointed.

My experience was great working with Joel who was proactive and helped with recommendations on fabric selection and furniture styles. The store at King and Sherbourne has a really good variety and knowledgable staff. I will definitely come back to the store again!

Had a great experience with Joel helping me pick the right couch and fabric. He understood my needs and made a great recommendation. Love that I can remove the cushion covers and throw them in the wash if my dogs cause a mess. Would highly recommend this place (and Joel) if you're looking for a stylish yet affordable couch. Love that it's Canadian made too.

Got the sofa for our living room here. Tomasz was great in helping us from selecting the design to the type of leather for the living room sofa. He was patient and made the right recommendations for our needs and style! Also, when we got our sofa, we called customer service for very minor improvements, and a technician (?) came and fixed everything for us. Amazing quality and customer service. We are very happy with our sofa purchase! Thank you

Purchased a couch this past week - amazing first experience at EQ3! We'd been shopping around for a while, and our search stopped when we visited the store on King St. E. Vanna was very helpful in helping us decide between couch models, fabrics and different configuration options, while Cassandra did a great job sealing the deal once we had made the decision to move forward! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is in the market for a high quality, custom piece of furniture (and reasonably priced at that)!

I purchased a sectional sofa for my condo. EQ3 offers several configuration options, so I was able to select something that fit my space really well. There is a great selection of fabrics and the staff were very helpful in bringing out large samples (and small ones that you can take away) so I could get an idea of how they would look.

I recently had a great shopping experience at EQ3! I was looking on-line to purchase a couch for my small living room and found the SALEMA apartment sized couch - which was a perfect fit. When I went into the store I was able to test the couch for comfort and quality and choose from a big selection of fabrics. My new couch has since been made and delivered and it looks and feels beautiful! The two gentlemen who delivered the couch were also courteous and efficient. Overall, great customer service from beginning to end and a couch that I am very happy with!

A lot of good furniture and lights. Prices are reasonable in most cases. We bought a light for $125. Just up the street there was a similar light for almost $800. Not the same name but very similar in appearance and looks just fine in our place.
