If I could give 0 I would. This has got to be the absolute worst company to deal with! You send in everything and they want you to resubmitt all documents! Don't expect a quick turn around on anything. I don't often write reviews but this just had to be said. If you like to submit multiple documents and spend precious time do so then this is the company's for you!

Wish I could give 0 stars. At best you’ll receive terrible customer service, and that’s if you can get ahold of someone. It blows my mind that Canadian financial institutions continue to allow this privatized business to have any input on citizens financial well-being. Equifax has an obligation and a responsibility to at least answer their phones when they affect people so greatly. Luckily I don’t have any issues with my credit report, but I can only imagine how powerless I would feel if I did and I was treated the way I was while trying to contact them.

Honestly, I’m impressed how bad Equifax and this location are. I’ve spent more than three weeks trying to get my credit score online, by email, phone, and lastly in-person (which should be the easiest and most straightforward one). The previous day, the system was “down” the entire day while they were open. No one single person got their service. And today, I lined up and the ladies helped two customers before stating the system was again malfunctioning in front of me and 9 more people. According to them, all of us can obtain our credit scores from the website which is a fallacy since it’s been imposible not just for me but for all the other people on the spot.

One of the “5 star” reviews said that this location is strictly for people who don’t understand how credit works in this country or just for newcomers, which is definitely a wrong assumption. This place is for people who have tried multiple ways to get a simple credit score but haven’t been able to and as last resource, go there hoping to get assistance but no, it won’t happen there either.

Don’t waste your time going there and lining up, they won’t solve absolutely anything.

Terrible customer service. One of the worst I have ever seen. They don't offer a one-time credit report. Instead they have a monthly subscription you apply online. But CANNOT CANCEL ONLINE. They want to make it difficult to cancel by phone waiting and talking to customer service. So that you forget or postpone this and they charge that monthly subscription fee. This should be illegal. But somehow is normal in North America!

Giving one star as there is no other option to go low. Having trouble accessing my score and report since month. They sent me physical copy twice but copy doesn't show any useful info. I clearly mentioned that I need a score on paper or online but nothing was solved and its been more than a month. Agents are too rude saying it takes one month to solve any technical issues and "it is what it is". Calling them twice everyday and I am getting an answer that technical department will call you before 5. I didn't receive any single call from them!

Even 1 star is too much for their service. Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I was talking to the Customer Care team for roughly an hour and I gave all of my confidential info so they can help me cancel my subscription just to be put on hold and get hung up on. Save your money folks, not recommended at all!

Hi people, Be careful for free trial account. It is some kinda scam. Their system has a glitch and once your apply for free trial, they are going to charge you for premium one.
It happened for me. They accepted at first their fault after 2 month call8ng them them following up on my refund and. I called them more than 20 times and each time they throw the ball to each other to make you tired of calling. That is how they play with people. So it is the 4th month that I am still calling them, and they did nor make a refund even charged me for one more time. Called them again and they said just sorry and told me that we can not make refund to you. Can you believe how rude they are. I wish I could create a case by the Police

If I could rate lower than 1 I would. I tried to cancel my account back in July. I had no troubles accessing the account right until I called Equifax to cancel and during that phone call the account became mysteriously locked due to "security reasons. "

I'm not sure how many times I called Equifax, but I wasn't able to get the account cancelled until late October. The whole time the account was locked I was still getting charged for the account, even though I didn't have access to any of its services.

Everytime I call in I'm always told that I'll get my refund for these fraudulent charges in 5 business days or tomorrow or in 18 business days. Or I'm told I'll get an e-mail with a resolution tomorrow or next week. I haven't gotten anything back yet and it's been a total pain because I'm just out the money and all I was trying to do was cancel my account, which is something you shouldn't even need to call in to do.

Not getting money that was stolen from me is one thing, but the blatant lying that this company's employees participate in is simply cringy. This behaviour is especially reprehensible when considering that this is a service a lot of people need to take advantage of when doing something like applying for somewhere to rent.

I'm positive my interactions with this particular company have been the worst I've experienced of any I've worked with in my whole life. I had to resort to contacting my credit card company to try to get my funds back. Hopefully that works out for me.

For anyone considering working with Equifax, if you can, I recommend steering clear of these buffoons.

Equifax does not treat their customer with respect.
I signed for Equifax Credit Score & Report to print and give my landlord a requested Credit report on June 9,2021. After being billed by Equifax, I realized that I could see my credit report, but THERE WAS NO PRINT VERSION. I was forced to use Trans-Union, and thanks to them, the requested report was delivered to my landlord. I called Equifax and requested a refund. All agents told me that refund would show up on my credit card in 5 business days. Many calls to Equifax later and many different case numbers gave back to me; on November 17,2021, an agent told me the billing department denied my refund without giving me a reasonable explanation. Please, DO YOUR BUSINESS WITH TRANS-UNION. Equifax do not care about you. If I could, I gave Equifax NO STAR.

I can honestly say I have never dealt with a company that has worst customer experience. From trying to find their number, to trying to log on to their site, to trying have a problem resolved, you will be hard pressed to have a more frustrating experience.

I was having trouble logging into my Equifax Consumer account. I called the number that came up on the screen to ask for assistance, the lady who answered spent approx. 20 mins trying to help. I was then told that she couldn't address the issue & she would have to escalate to the next level.fair enough, this can happen. Now get ready for this! I am told that it will take 20 - 30 BUSINESS DAYS TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE.yes you read that right! I am not sure what else to say. How does this organization even exist when this is the level of service they provide to customers who are paying $19.95 per month? PATHETIC! DON"T BUY THE MEMBERSHIP!

Terrible customer service, I have been trying to resolve my problem for over two months and every time I call the dissconect phone on me. I sometimes have to call 15 times a day but for past two months I was not able to talk to a manager or solve my problem

Trying to get a credit score from them is as bad as pulling teeth out. The site is very confusing. I tried to get my credit report and somehow and someway I got a dispute request filled out.

The log in is a nightmare it doesn’t always recognize you even with the correct information then when you call to get help getting in good luck to you! It takes an average 3 calls to get in! The language barrier is so bad that you feel you want to cry! Each person asked different questions for security purposes but it’s a long agonizing process! The last alert I had was simple my new car but I couldn’t get in to check and do you think anyone could rest my mind and tell me it was the car nope! Took 24hours for me to finally get in and it’s nothing. Very frustrating! I was also supposed to get a call from the supervisor that never happened!

I would echo the sentiment of a lot of people in here. This review is for the overall company vs.the walk-in center. Wouldn't even want to give 1 star

Terrible customer service, have to go in circles to get any sort of information (to give some perspective, when I signed up for the service, I was able to see my score and report - and since that day 1, I haven't been able to see anything. Been working with Technical support for past 6 months, and still no resolution). Total wastage of money

I got notification that something changed on my file and I should review. So, I try to login, but now the platform changed, and I cannot even login to the system. When called, got horrible customer service, where couldn't even help me login to the system. Given I cannot login, they cannot help me with anything else, neither can I see anything of what changed. And then, still asks the script question - anything else I can help with?

Totally useless and pathetic experience -would highly encourage everyone to stay away from them, and use other services. Cant wait for some banks to provide this info as guidelines.

Is the worst service I have ever experience. No way to cancel the subscription on-line they try to lock you in the system. You have to call them which take a life time for someone to pick up the phone. Definitely not recommended.

I've been trying for years to get my report from Equifax with absolutely no luck since 2017. My credit card info was stolen multiple times that year and then I found out about the breach Equifax executives basically sold millions of peoples financial info.

Their website was/is absolutely useless. I tried calling multiple times, however I could not get an agent who spoke English. When I was able to reach a agent who did speak a little English kept asking me personal question about my family and friends. Questions that seems more like security questions banks and other financial institutions would ask to help identify/protected you on their site.

I've even filled out multiple forms and sent them in with no luck. It seems unless you're willing to pay them hundreds in fees for a membership with them then they can steal and sell your info.

I submitted a dispute nov 3,2020 and have not received any updates. I called in today and the rep on the phone indicated nothing has been looked at. 2 months later and nothing has been done. The rep on the phone told me “it’s the back end office, someone will email you in 3-5 business days”. This is unacceptable customer service. You represent the same company, my file has been neglected for 2 months. I expect something to be done immediately, these credit scores affect how we make our purchases and I am handcuffed because of an error that is not even being looked after. I need somebody from your company to help me ASAP.

Only 1 customer service representative was present, computer was not working, people started to leave.
The only plus point is offering less price (11.95 dollars) as compared to online (23.99 dollars) for credit report.
Very small place as compared to the people visiting. There must be 2 more locations in GTA.

I cannot believe the level of customer service at Equifax. Three different agents and all three have crazy attitude. For a company that screwed up millions of ppls credit last year it's amazing. I asked for a manager several times and this guy jus repeated himself like a recording. I had to yell at him before he actually put me on hold to find a manager. This is ridiculous. I called for a legitimate issue and couldn't get it resolved and then the agents were rude to me and so I asked for a manager and was met with disrespect and more attitude. Unbelievable. These are the ppl we are suppose to trust with our credit in this country.

Donot use this service by credit card, they will debit charges every month without your permission. I come to know after 2 months of charges and they refused to refund.customer service is not friendly.very upset to use this service once.

They have way too much power and a virtual monopoly along with Trans union and yet you can't reach a human being to talk to and end up in voice mail jail when you are trying to inquire or simply order your report. Two separate calls now and both abominable! Consumer relations spoke over me, argued with me, told me incorrect information, did not answer my questions. On the second call, I asked if I could speak with a Supervisor, she argued with me - basically telling me no. What awful service (and I already had low expectations). Human decency and kindness are skills - sadly disappearing from today's workplace!

I received poor customer service from Equifax. I have attempted to purchase two services at different times this year. Each time I was charged for a service I was never able to access. I was never able to see my credit score. I called and talked to over 8 representatives who gave me different excuses every time. Last week, I attempted to give them second chance. I was double charged for one service and again couldn't access my credit information. I called to complain only to be told I wasn't charged twice when I had a bank statement and email confirmations to prove it. I asked for a refund for one of the charges and my bank had to refund me the other (since Equifax refused). I asked to cancel my service, which they said they did. Couple days later I received an email on my membership (it was STILL active). I had to call back again. My membership is now pending cancellation and so is my refund. This is probably the worst service I have received. Never again!

After trying to request a free credit report to be mailed to me, I gave up using the automated voice attendant (. System couldn’t complete my request. I wonder if every phone caller is fed this same response?) and ventured to the only Toronto office to submit my request in person.

The Equifax website gave me all the prerequisite instructions for the ordeal; print and complete the form, gather all the acceptable personal IDs, etc. As far as original bills that show a current address (no more than 90 days old), I’m totally a paperless person and get everything electronically including my government tax correspondences. What the!?

The location is lower level concourse next to Booster Juice.

According to the website, there are best times to come here. Well, 25 people were filed in a cattle line ahead of me. After a 70 minute wait, I finally arrived at the service counter. There were 3 CSRs processing requests. My request was handled efficiently and courteously in 10 minutes.

With the post office strike impacting services, this personal visit to Equifax at 5700 Yonge St was painful but necessary for me.

BRING A PEN! You need to fill out a form to hand in and if you don't have it filled in, you will need a pen and will have wasted time standing in line. The form is available beside the kiosk windows. There were only two employees at the counter. The one we dealt with was extremely rude, she obviously doesn't like her job or doesn't like dealing with people.

If I could give this horrendous monopolized company a negative, I would! Customer service is absolutely ridiculous! They can't and won't answer any of your questions. Refuse to transfer you to a management team member. They continuously speak over you and never fail to just repeat the exact same thing in 10 different ways! First response wasn't helpful! How is changing a few syllables going to make any difference? Aside from tick someone off any further? ! None of the information they have for me on file is accurate. Yet I'm supposed to fix their errors. When I ask to speak to someone in a department that can actually assist me in the issue Equifax Canada initially created, they tell me that they will not provide information as such. I'm told it's a security risk. I've been told that department has no phones in the building. What? I've also been told that I need to learn different languages so that I may understand someone on the phone who barely has the ability to speak english, let alone french. I pay Equifax for their services so that I may be able to see their errors be rectified. My score is getting worse. I HAVE NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT ON ANYTHING! They also have me working for a company, I have never heard of! I am a business owner! Thank you Equifax for everything you do wrong and avoid attempt at making proper changes! Kindly start educating your workers. Most importantly get your S#! T right! I love that buying a home is next to impossible because of your shotty, pathetic, half a$$ed bureaucracy. How have you people not been revoked by the FEDS AND SHUT DOWN!?

Garbage. Absolute garbage to say the very least. Worst credit agency on the surface of the Earth.

If I were a landlord, lender, or employer, I would rather believe my applicants creditworthiness by their own mere statement, rather than to consult Equifax. Equifax is flawed, irresponsible, and completely disorganized.

I hope Equifax's head staff and/or management team reads this review and the several dozen negative reviews. Hopefully that will send a strong clear message that they stink and don't care at all about their customers.

I updated my current address in banking system and Equifax still have old address.and they want me to send bunch of documents and process will take up to 3 weeks and I need my credit score in 2 days.its 2018 we have internet buy some app that will allow you to check this easy information on the fly.
This company is still in 95'. Btw banks should be able to provide this service they have all the information.

Worst Company ever. Rude and disrespectful customer. Just got ripped off because this company decided to not accept my User name "ShaneHamilton" so I put in My User name like "shanehamilton" and it worked took my payment without verifying my account and sent me to my Mothers account.they charged me for the monthly service. This was clearly an issue with their sign in options. Then I called them and they told me they would not close the account for my mother even though I had all her personal info. So I can have access to all her personal info but cant cancel the monthly subscription unless she calls to verify who she is, are you kidding me. They never ask me if I was my mother before they took my payment and now refuse to refund even though the guy on the phone told me step by step to sign in and even then it wouldn't work, even with him giving me the user name and password, I cut and pasted it still didn't work. Plz Don't use them

Other day I decided to get my credit report and was told online only $15.50 one time charge. I just looked at my credit card statement and they charged me 3 times! And from the reviews I noticed I'm not the only one. I will sue Equifax and I will make them pay big time for this matter. Very unprofessional. No one answers the phone. How are these people controlling our lives? When they are the ones who are carless and irresponsible? If this is not resolved within couple days will be walking in with the lawyers.

In my humble opinion this is an example of corruption in our society. These guys basically control your financial future yet it's next to impossible to fully understand the system. While most people who have no idea how it all works, fraudsters have learned how to game the system and are taking advantage of this.
Also you shouldn't have to jump trough hoops or drive across the province just to update or purchase a credit report with score. This should be accessible at any service Ontario office.

My daughter wanted to check her credit. We decided to puchase the package on line for 19.95. We entered all the information required. I put my card number in to pay and was told my card didnt work and asked for a new card. We entered a different card and the same thing except they asked her to call with a different card. We did! As a result all three cards got charged and mine was charged twice. I have now called three times and no one can say when we get money back. Three different answers.
Do not enter your credit card information in there site.
My mind is completely blown that one of the largest credit agencies has such bad systems.

Essentially i feel like they took money from me rather than bring nay value to me whatsoever.complete waste of time trying to deal one agent says one thing then another says one - instead of helping you immediately they revert you to there website.what's the point of waiting on the phone for an hour to be sent somewhere else and a process that takes months to rectify when the cancellation guy said they can do it manually.a** backwards
