Ines ia a great hairdresser. She is the only one that does my son’s hair the way he likes. She is also really kind. I really recommend her.

I asked for a lavender highlight and they gave me red/wine balayage which faded into a very terrible case of orange/brown after a few washes. They have no talent for mixing colours. They don’t even know the basics of colour composition. I do not recommend this place to anyone since they overcharged me for an awful service.

I got my hair done there, ERGYS is my cousin and I thought it would be amazing.but it was quite the opposite, as his cousin he charged me almost 500$. The cut was bad, The dye was mediocre at best. I left so miserable and he was my cousin, u wouldn't go there.
Also he's no longer my cousin as he went to my gjyshi home with full blown ALTZIMERS lied to him. Stole his condos from Albania and Forged his signature. God judges.

I have been coming to see Rosangela for the last four years on a regular basis. She listens carefully to my requests and manages to execute the style exactly as I was imagining! Her big heart and warm personality makes everyone feel welcome. Whether she is doing my colour, cut or style, she always makes me look and feel great!

I’m very picky with my hair and eyebrows - and Artur is my go-to! He really cares about the products he uses on my hair and is consistently reliable. I’ve never left there without a smile on my face and a few selfies on my phone.

I’ve been seeing my hairstylist Rosangela for over a year now and she is AMAZING! She specializes in blondes and is able to get me to the blonde I want while making my hair healthier. I highly recommend her!

Stay with me as this review is long, but hopefully super helpful for women who are looking for colour/balayage advice & recommendations. (TLDR: Zarina Pipersberg at Ergys was incredible and the best experienced colourist I’ve had, read on for details.)

My hair had been natural/colour-free (I’m naturally a dark ashy blonde or light brown) for about 4-5 years, so needless to say when I was looking to make a lighter colour change I was nervous. I was ho-humming about it for probably months and had been doing intense research on salons, colourists, reviews and techniques to ensure I would not be making a mistake and would not be kicking myself afterwards.

I wanted to try Balayage but 1) I knew nothing about it 2) I heard it was expensive 3) I heard it was time consuming, so I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do highlights instead. During my research on colourists in Toronto, I found Zarina Pipersberg’s Instagram – she is a specialist and Master Colourist at Ergys in Forrest Hill. It was obvious just by looking at the photos she knew exactly what she was doing. I contacted her and asked a ton of questions – like, obscene amounts and randomly every few weeks. I know now I was super annoying but she was never anything but accommodating. I asked her what the technique was, how it was done, what the implications were for my hair, how long it was, that steps were involved etc. She answered every single one and actually explained the science behind common issues and what steps were meant to do.

I finally committed to coming even and to be honest I was still skeptical going to Forrest Hill but I was assured pricing was was competitive. I thought, well, if Zarina is great than I’m ok paying for it (and really, we should understand that as customers). I got there and my experience was great. I’ve never had someone so knowledgeable do my hair before. Balayage is a long process; I was told that upfront and be prepared to be in the studio for a few hours. The time flew by and I was treated extremely well by staff and I was given all sorts of treats and tea and I felt super comfortable. Zarina was SO lovely and pleasant it was probably the best experience with a salon I’ve had.

She listened to what I want, looked at pictures I brought and gave me options all well advising me what would and wouldn’t work in terms of colour based on my skin tone and my natural colour. I loved that she gave me her opinion on what looks better. Obviously I can bring in a picture of Crissy Teagan and want that but realistically I don’t know anything about colour so I appreciated her wisdom. When all was said and done, my hair looked (and still looks a month later) amazing and so natural (the thing I kept saying is I don’t want to look fake blonde, please don’t make me look like a Barbie). The price was SO reasonable I was quite surprised, as it was a little less than I was quoted in another salon in the Entertainment District. Also, my ride was late picking me up so she brought me into the lounge and we chatted until I left – the LOVELIEST.

Don’t let the location scare you. And understand that this process (balayage or colour; regardless) takes time and experience. You get what you pay for, and while hair grows back, you’d really not fry or mess up what will be on your head for months. Don’t forget to tip your colourist AND your stylist if you had both – I would also recommend when you call to make an appointment, also asking reception about tipping or any processes in place. They are so lovely and if you aren’t sure just ask. I don’t think I’d go anywhere else at this point.

Came in for the second time to get my hair coloured with Rosangela and had the most amazing experience. I love the way she does my hair and I always leave the salon feeling beautiful and loving my new hair. The best salon and hairdresser to get the perfect balayage and highlighted look!

Trying a new hair salon is always a bit nerve-wracking, but not in this case! The staff listened carefully to my vision and offered great advice in order to give me a look that I am over-the-moon about!

I came to the salon with overgrown full highlights, and I left with a beautiful, natural-looking, low-maintenance balayage. Colour was perfect!

Staff are super friendly and welcoming. The space is very clean and sleek.
