The fish is always good.but not as good as it used to be. They must have changed suppliers or quality of catch.

The food is good, the staff are amazing, and the atmosphere is one of the most welcoming in town! Thanks Katrina and Nancy, for always making us feel at home

The Erie Belle has been a favourite of our family for decades and over four generations now. Outside dining has a view, inside has nice atmosphere with some themed decor. Best fish and chips around, with very good service, a bit on the expensive but not too much, and worth it.

Great place to start off a visit in Kincardine! And a great place to end your visit as well lol. Beautiful view of Lake Huron and Kincardine's bay off the patio seating, (in the right spot). Food came in fast n hot. Everything was done perfectly and couldn't have been happier. And their speciality drinks and locally craft beers are a must! Give it a go!

Went for dinner with my parents the other night. We showed up around 7 and they close at 8. Staff was super friendly and worked cohesively together and had a great sense of humour. The food came out super fast too. We ordered and I went to the bathroom, by the time I came back to the table the food was being delivered to the table. Food was hot and fresh. Music was also really good. Overall amazing experience!

Good food all around (fish and chips, poutine). Steak and mushroom pot pie was so so. Delicious Caesar to drink.

Amazing. First bite and I was taken back to my teenage years skipping high school for fish and chips. So good!

A very solid fish and chips restaurant. I eat there frequently, although it's a little on t the pricy side. Great service though, the food is excellent, and the decor and setting are enjoyable. Recommended!

This is a quaint little restaurant in Kincardine. We had the haddock fish n chips (for sure) so fresh and batter on fish was light and flavorful. Fast and super friendly service, we ate on patio with light music in the background. All in all great dining experience. I suggest to drop in when you are visiting the area.

Atmosphere - excellent old English seaside fishery theme. Restaurant is clean and tidy (unlike under old owners).

Service - polite and courteous service but under staffed and long delay in getting service and waiting for bill to pay.

Food - I'm not sure what happened but ended up with massive order of side fries and small piece of fish for $21. Fish was nice and crispy battered but not allowed to drain/soak up oil in paper towels so extremely greasy. Coleslaw was obviously bagged refrigerated as it came with plastic bag piece.

After decade long hiatus due to filthy dining area (under old owners) we had decided to try again since it has been under new ownership for a few years now. Dining area is clean and tidy however; hiatus to resume.

My wife and I have been customers of this restaurant for years and up until today they never disappointed.
Sadly today however that trend has come to a screaming halt.
Staff was and continues to be friendly however a 2 piece haddock and chips was virtually a chips dinner (3/4 of the meal) with with a side order of 2 pieces of haddock. Way too many fires (soggy as well) for a single side order and the haddock was small. Taste if the haddock itself although cooked seemed to be lacking in taste. This had been our favorite fish and chip location in Ontario for nearly 30 years. Whether it is because of change of the times or Covid this location has lost the magic it once had for us.
The price did not match the quality.

Certainly not what it was. Smaller portions and higher costs make the marginal food no longer palatable. The view remains lovely and the historical tie to the region is important but it is just no longer worth the outing.

I tried the Chicken BLT Burger and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was super juicy! I didn’t love the Caesar salad, I felt that the dressing was more watery than I’d like. The sweet potatoes were also fantastic including the sauce they come with! Tried some of the jr.fish and chips which were really good too!

I loved being able to visit this place in such a small town. Would love to visit again.

Meet the owner, who was serving us. He was super friendly. We had the fish and chips (of course). The portions of chips and onion rings were very generous and the fish was a good size. The batter was a light breading and not a beer batter style, but very good. There was a line up most of the evening to get in, but it moved fairly quickly and we didn't wait long. They do not take reservations.

I've been coming here for decades whenever I pass through Kincardine. It's a must place to eat.

Waited 10 minutes at our table. 4 different servers walked by and no one stopped to take our order for drinks or food. We left.

Excellent restaurant! They really deserve to be called "House of Fish 'n Chips"! The staff is very friendly and we really appreciated everything. Awesome quality! Definitely, I will return to Erie Belle restaurant in my next visit to Kincardine.

Apparently 3-5pm during the weekdays is happy hour. $5 pint of beer and $7 apps. It was not that busy and the food was quickly served and everything was fresh and delicious.

Fish was fresh, patio was quiet and comfortable and the fries were some of the best Ive ever had

Ordered the two piece cod with fries and ceasar salad. It was over the top excellent. Service fast and friendly. Best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Batter is light and crispy, fries are done right. If you are in Kincardine you gotta eat here.

I hadn't been to the Belle in a long time, and it sure did not disappoint.definitely the best fish and chips ever! And there's nothing better than the squeeze bottle of tartar!

We were back in Kincardine to meet old friends for dinner and a visit. The Belle had a management change since our last time here. Lots of outdoor space in the nice weather however I could not see a whole lot of change inside. We were seated in an alcove where we could enjoy conversation and a meal. The perch dinner was good and the other three in our party seemed to enjoy their food too. This spot has always had a loyal following in their 'English Pub Style' bar. You can see the harbour area, lighthouse, and Lake Huron from the front porch patio.

Very pleasant experience from the moment we arrived, very kind, honest about menu selection. Everything was as good they claimed. The kind of place you bring your Besties. Only gave it a 4 star because it was my first time, definitely coming back

Disgusting, greasy, tasteless food. I never recommend this place.
Update: there’s a new owner who cleaned up the place and updated the menu. I can now order fish that isn’t drowning in deep batter but is seasoned and healthy. The salads and soups are completely amazing. The staff are friendly and very hardworking.
I can now enjoy going knowing I can order something healthy and enjoy my time with other people I’m with.

Had supper there tonight, honestly the best fish and chips ever, hats of to all that work there and to the owner that busts table along with everyone else, great job.

We ate there while on holidays at a cottage rental. Be patient. They are busy but the staff will look after you. The fish and chips are worth the wait. The batter is cooked just bright and it’s obvious they tend to the friers as the taste was clean and crisp.

The service was excellent, even with the majority being new, you can tell that the girls have a good rhythm going, organized and everyone is aware of their surroundings, and look comfortable and not deer caught in the headlights kind of look, food was excellent aswell,

The food here was fantastic. Their fish and chips are truly their specialty. I had the haddock and my wife had the cod. We were both very happy. The reason for the low rating was the customer service. We waited over 30 mins just to order.and we were the only people in the restaurant. As the evening shift was coming in, the girls who worked their were loudly socializing with no regard for the customers in the restaurant. I, unfortunately, learned about ALL the weekend plans of the servers. Disappointing!

Great service, great atmosphere. Nice selection of regional drinks. Really enjoyed the Phantom Piper from the patio. We only had dessert and drinks and it was yummy!

Very good experience, the food is excellent, very good. The waitress was very friendly, she made sure we were satisfied. We are from Barrie and will be back.

Delicious take out! The haddock was really good and all of the side orders were really good. The sweet potato side was very small but the fries were tasty and the Chipotle sauce tasted great and spicy! The onion rings were pretty good, same as the deep fried dill pickles. The Caesar salad was a nice portion and all pieces came separate so you could choose what you wanted to add or not. Tartar sauce was large portions which was awesome!

Had fish and salad here tonight. 3 pieces of haddock, my companion had the steak and mushroom pie. Both were excellent. All safety protocols in place, including plexiglass between all tables. Our server Morgan was attentive and very pleasant. My allergy concerns were taken very seriously and the chef even came out with an ingredient list for the onion rings (soy is a nono for me) All in all a really nice experience, we're going back. Soon.

We both loved our fish very tender and flakey.
The better was the best we ever had. Crispy and light.
Also, the waitress was very friendly and efficient.

Classic restaurant. Been in town forever. They recently switched up the menu and the decor of the restaurant. Completely amazing transformation.

Fish is no longer greasy and the food is amazing. Wait staff is pleasant and helpful. Well worth the the money. Had a great dining experience. I would recommend coming here when you are in town.

Hoping it was just an off night but we ordered 3 take out fish & chips. Very thin batter and the fish was a little tough. Normaly the meals are great.

It’s all about the food - excellent. Try the chowder! The inside is dated and could use a refresh - service is friendly and fast. Recommend 5 Stars

My Grandparents lived in Kincardine. Every summer we would come visit for a few weeks. We visited this place all the time. I have never had a better fish and chips.

Ordered take out was told it would be around 15 minute, was left waiting half an hour without an explanation. Ordered a cod and a haddock, when I opened the bag they hadn't bothered including a identifying which was which. No cutlery included either. This place is also insanely expensive - $40 for 2 lots of fish and chips is a joke - there is somehow no difference between eat in and take out prices.

Fish is always consistently good.
Fries can be great or lackluster.mind you I never don't finish them.
Gluten free fish batter is a great alternative for family members.
Nice views from balcony, steps from water. Lovely sunsets - although this picture is in winter, so sun is further south than summer.

Been there twice in the past couple of weeks (dec 2019) fish and chips were perfect the first timea little greasy the second time.but all in the new owners have done a great job and the cooking is much better than the hit and miss dinners of the past

Nice little place in Kincardine. Fish and chips was all I got. A bit greasy and the batter was too thick for my liking. Good coffee.

Wife and I ate here years ago. Will have to go again sometime. One of the best fish n chips meals we have ever had.

Food quality and quantity was great. Service sucked only saw server long enough to order drinks and food. Never saw anyone until food showed up. Had to wave down a different server to get more drinks.

Not very good. Very few fries. 1 piece of fish. Caesar salad was soggy. This place use to be excellent. Not so much any more

A little pricey just for fish and chips but on the other hand the portions are very large. Come with a good appetite.

Odd quirk of mine: I save my favourite parts of every meal to eat last. Normally that's fries, wherever I go. But not here. At Erie Belle the fried perch from the Seafood Platter is always the last to go down! Fantastic value too! And that's to take nothing from their banging fries, too!

Hubby had the catfish and I had the haddock. Both were done perfectly. Friendly staff, clean and accommodating.

I really liked the batter on the fish and chips. Really crispy but not oily. Lots of flavour. The creamy coleslaw was great. The deep fried clams and calamari were also quite tasty. Definitely try it if you're in the area.

Very disappointed with the food and service. It's under new management and menu was changed and prices for the amount of food. Perch was overcooked fries were poor and ceaser salad with wilty lettuce and one crouton
And little to no bacon bits. Told waitress about small portion of fish and she said that our platter had shrimp and calamari, trying to justify the size of the the perch.
Will not be back.

My husband and I were the only people waiting to be seated Saturday July 13th around 1: 30 p.m. The restaurant was busy and we waited for approximately 15 min.while servers continued to bypass us. A young lady with brown hair finally stopped and said that she wasn't sure if there were any tables and that there probably wasn't. I asked how long the wait was, and she said they didn't have any tables. We walked out onto the deck and another server said there were definitely open tables. My husband is black.we get the hint! Wow! Did not expect to be rejected by this establishment in our home Ontario!? REALLY!? I will never set foot upon your doorstep again: (SHAME ON YOU!

I probably would have received better service if I had been on the actual Erie Bell as it was exploding. It used to be good, new owner is a smug millennial who has ruined something that was once a great restaurant. If you like poor service, mediocre food and a condescending attitude go here, other places in town are much better.

On Saturday July 13 at 5-6 pm ordered haddock and fries.the fish was pretty good but the french fries were garbage.
Eerie Belle management needs to see how Franks fresh cut fries are made and follow suit.

Love this place! We eat in and take-out, probably more than we should. We are Brits and finding a good place for a taste of back home "chippy food" is a must. We always enjoy the fish and chips. The batter is nicely crisp with good flavour and I love the chips. Add a side of mushy peas and a bitter-shandy and I am a happy thing. They used to do a pie and chips, which I loved -sadly no more. Front of house and back of house staff are always friendly and professional and provide great service no matter how busy. They are a credit to the Erie Belle. I look forward to many more meals!

Place needs some work hasn't been kept up over the years. Food is still good.
I should add it was last summer when we ate there, so if they have made changes ì look forward to seeing them this summer.

The BEST fish n chips i ve ever had, white fish meal was a huge perfectly fried pcs, served on fries with amazing slaw, ask for extra tartar, its the real deal, just wicked fish.

Great fish and chips had the whitefish gluten batter. Nice and crispy. Creamy Coleslaw, mushy peas and beans very good as well. Staff were nice.

First they forgot my meal. Then my French onion soup had no toast or cheese on top and when I let the waitress know she said that's how it comes. Also the air conditioning was on full blast, currently 12 degrees. We had to go up to the bar in order to ask for a glass of water.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere was great. The food is reasonably priced for seafood. The quality of the food was superb and very well done. The batter is light & airy, and the chips are perfectly cooked and season. This is a great place to go to in all seasons, but it's the best during summer time.

We had the haddock with fries and coleslaw, and cod with fries and baked beans, and dessert was a lava cake and deep-fried cheesecake. The portions have downsized since the new owners' menu has been out, but honestly it's just more reasonable than it used to be. No pile of fries worth 3 days of calories. The restaurant is also much brighter than it used to be. The walls and seating have been given a bit of attention, and the lightbulbs changed or something. It still has the English pub feel, the bar is still surrounded in memorabilia.
The new menu has much more variety, and we've found a few favourites already. Pickle fries are a must, and friends have tried and loved the chicken and waffles.
Overall, a really nice new place.

Very Clean, warm, and welcoming staff. The resturant was clean and on a very cozy street. I found the fried fish was over fried but overall a good place for Fish and Chips.

Disappointed again.

Last month when I visited the restaurant I was seated upstairs. That was great, until a party of over a dozen people came in to sit nearby. I was alone, not associated with their reserved group. I would have preferred seating away from an impending party (in the lower level perhaps). The meal was okay but really not worth the price.

Today I walked in. Stood waiting to be seated for at least five minutes and no one appeared. There was one other table in the place. I wasn't a about to go wandering around to try and find someone to take my business/money so I left.
