ESSO gas & Punjabi Restautant

Food was really good.felt like I was eating at home… shout-out to the guy who was on counter.his customer service was on the point… eventhough the store was busy; he handled everything smoothly.

So so discusting, dirtiest bathrooms we ever saw, stool and God knows what else all over the toilet seat, had to pee so bad, my kidneys were hurting, and to have to encounter that, all the soap and water in the world, you have no idea how to use it, no soap in the dispensers, no paper towel to dry our hands. Health and safety should shut it down, ran out of there so fast, my stomach was just nauseous thank goodness the next little town was so nice and clean.so discusting filthy out house.my skin still crawling, never stop there again. Just aweful.

Good stop. Pumps are slow and the store could be spruced up a bit. The people working there are very nice. Tons of parking for commercial vehicles and RVs.

I have been in some sketchy places in my day, at least it wasnt dark, lol. The upside they did have candy corn

$1.70 for regular. Having just driven across from Vancouver this might be the most expensive gas in Canada. Thanks for gouging!

Not a whole lot of parking here but I love to stop here and get myself a Desi Chai. They make it very good here

Terrible food. Waste of money. I ordered chhole and they gave me only tari no chhole inside for 7 $.

Such kind owners. There is no where to get gas for a couple hundred kilometers and we were driving through the night. With the time change coming from Ontario we thought it was only 1030pm and called the store when we arrived because we noticed online it says they're open until 11 and the place was closed when we got there.

But.it was actually 1130pm in Ontario (we were coming from Edmonton). On the phone, they told us they were closed but would reopen for jusy for us to get gas because they understand how far the next gas station would be.

They actually reopened their store for us to get gas at 1130pm at night on a Tuesday. They are amazing. Thank you so much.

Amazing food. Veggie burger was daaammmm good. Curry rice was good too. It’s feel like home food

The food was so bad and added with lot of artificial colours which is not good for your health. Moreover it was not according my expectations just waste of money and your health
Whole night I was up and down you can understand. In conclusion don’t go there if you love your health and wealth pls don’t trust this restaurant they r fake and staff members were looking like thieves

Hlo everyone don’t go there and there so many reasons behind this first of all the food quality was so bad and the staff services was also not good. Don’t waste ur time and money and now m talking about the guy who was serving the food he is lier he lied to us about food. He was saying food is fresh but when i start to eat then i was finding a garbage overthere to throw all my food. In conclusion don’t trust this restaurant if u love ur health and wealth

This place is dirty dirty.the bathroom is disgusting walls of the bathroom were filthy and has cobwebs with bugs in them.when u walk in you can tell its a unkept establishment.gross

We picked up some fantastic Indian food for our road trip. Very friendly service!

They have diesel.

It use to be really good food before but now as the management has changed now food is really bad not properly cooked

We are on a westbound cross Canada RV trip. We skirted around Thunder Bay, then started looking for a place to get some lunch and a break from the highway driving.

This place has lots of good reviews and we developed a craving for Indian food. Missed the minor detail that they are not open for dine-in. Our fault completely.

Due to COVID, the restaurant only allows for call-in and pick-up. The gentleman at the counter offered some samples, and I placed an order for lentil soup, vegetable curry, rice and roti. Menu understandably limited.

So time enough for a 20 minute nap, and it was ready.

Deliciously spicy. Not enough to make your scalp sweat and eyeballs bleed, but enough to make your nose run.

Order came to under $40, and could have fed a family of four with modest appetites. We still had leftovers to freeze and enjoy when the next craving hits.

I have been to on highway restaurants in manitoba and Saskatchewan but this place is worth it. Nice service and delicious food. Will come again for sure. And plus the price for every dish is very good.

The owner is nice and friendly. The old Punjabi uncle in the back served some really amazing samose and chaa. I loved it!

Seemed like the place was only open part time going to some type of liquidation do not know if it is still open or not only coffee was served inventory was down to next to nothing

This place clearly has new owners since the negative reviews were written as the owner is very friendly. Place has clearly been renovated too as the restaurant and toilets are super clean.

Gas is a little pricy, but other than that, the place is great. I always get good service, he often makes a fresh batch of coffee, and everyone is nice!:)

Great place to stop. The new owner is very friendly and pumps the gas. He is working on renovating the place. All of our employees stop there on their way out of the province.

Two pumps available. Cold store. Very cold. No hot water. Decent washrooms but again cold washrooms. No heated water. Again. Cold. Water. Hand dryer; Cold. Again. Cold. That’s right. Save money but keeping the place COLD.

New owner seems determined to make the place look nice again but needs more business. Curious about the history of this place. Looks like it used to be a very nice/popular/large stop decades ago but gradually sank. Anyone knows why?
