I want to express appreciation to receptionist Aqbaal and family doctor Andrijana D, for their quick actions in the evening to schedule refill of my so needed medication refill.
They did not have to do it late in the evening, but they did.
Thank you so much for your help in this messy time.

Ultrasound & X ray lab's in this Clinic have very bad customer service. They are rude and need to have a better bed side manner with patients. I would recommend you ask your Doctor to book you at a different facility

I have been going to Etobicoke Medical Centre since I was a kid and my old family doctor (retired now) was absolutely amazing and so is my new family doctor that I have been with for a couple years now. My only issue with the clinic is the wait times over the phone. A lot of the times it's over 30 min wait time just to talk to someone -_-
But once I do finally get through and explain what is going on, my doctor is always so quick to return my call and I appreciate it!

My doctor and the healthcare team are all excellent. I get appointments when needed and there is excellent follow-up with the health team. Would recommend.

Terribly rude receptionists. On top of that, they give so much contradictory misinformation. Services are good and my doctor is very timely which is the only pro.

Services are okay but we've waiting 3 hrs just to see the doctor for the weekend. And I'm hearing the doctor having a chat with a patient for 30 minutes and they are just laughing the whole time. My mom is using oxygen and we've run out of it (she even used the 4 hrs tank of oxygen just to be safe

The receptionist that I met at 11: 13 am on may 08 was extremely rude. She was yelling at a geriatric patients and saying “DONE, DONE, I SENT THE MESSAGE TO DOCTOR”, then she told another patient that their appointment is on a different date and once the patient showed her the card that had the appointment details, instead of apologizing she said “good you have the card”.
Then when it was my turn she was telling me my brother was never sent to a specialist/ Pediatrician while my brother regularly sees the specialist since 2019.
There was another receptionist next to her, and she was just sitting and saying “my computer is not working”, there was another computer that she could use instead of just sitting and watching how the other receptionist humiliates patients!
I am patient at this clinic for over 7 years and has never encountered such rude and reckless receptionists.

Though it can be frustrating to wait to get through by phone to make an appointment, and in the past I’ve had issues with the receptionists, the actual medical attention my family and I have received from our doctor and the nurse practitioners has been pretty good. I like the convenience of the blood clinic and ultrasound technicians right in the building, and while my doctor doesn’t make a lot of small talk, I’m not there to make a friend. She takes me seriously and does what is necessary to deal with my concerns.

I would like thank you Dr. Yoshida she is the BEST Family Doctor. Dr. Yoshida is my Angel from God send, She saved my life when I was down and no where to go for help. It took me over 20 years to found an amazing wonderful kindhearted caring family Doctor she understands her patients and very knowledgeable.
I don’t live close to the office but I don’t mind go there for my medical appointment because of someone like Doctor. Yoshida. Thank you very much for all you do Doctor Yoshida. Julie

It takes minimum 15 mins to speak to someone on the phone. When you do, they rush you. Appointments are always at least one month out. Then the day before the appointment, they postpone it to a week later. Then on the day of the new appointment, they postpone it another week again. And this wasn't the first time they did that to me. Time to find another doctor/med centre.

I have been a patient here since birth. Dr McFadden is excellent. No waiting, excellent and proactive care. She was even doing face to face during covid. I would 100% recommend this clinic

I called in for 1 day at around 9am asking for an appointment. They said they were busy and it's basically first come first serve and I should call earlier. So I did, I called at 8: 30am for the next 3 days just to be told to we are full and go to the hospital. I then get a call from them asking "what is my problem, and why am i calling everyday"

With many of the negative posts I agree. Yesterday it took about 43 minutes before my call was answered. Most calls i wait about 30 minutes. With that said it took another 48hrs to actually get my prescription sent to the pharmacy. They have 2 people answering for over 30 doctors. The reception, customer care is non existent. My doctor is ok but it’s not worth it. I do need 2 prescriptions unfortunately. I have gone into withdrawal waiting days for it. I feel like if I stay here any longer I might actually die because of their greediness of what seems to be the doctors just banking money rather than hiring more people to care for their roster.

Good luck getting an appointment with doctors at this facility. At first I just thought it was my particular doctor but after referring friends to ETCFH, they're all the same. You can never seem to make an appointment. The doctors are either on vacation or simply away and when they do have availability, its months out. I've been trying to get a physical for 3 years and every time I call, there's always some BS. Its July and I'm being told my doctor can see me in September but its not guaranteed. Called to inquire with another family health team in the community about transferring my file and they are able to see me this week. There were so many issues with this place but I've given them chance after chance. I'm done. Good luck to anyone who chooses a family doctor from this place.

The worst experience. Waited for 40 mins outside the clinic after their opening time with a lot of other people and yet nobody came so I left. It seems like they are constantly late.

I would once have said this is one of the best places but now I hate it. I'm 59 years old and I cant get a physical. Seriously!
My Doctor works from home now and only does phones and comes in once a week.
So very disappointed in this place. Dont even ask the receptionists anything. We are no longer patients but cattle. Thank god I'm moving and will have to find another place.

Worst service every, I am a new pregnant patient trying to book and appointment with a doctor made me wait a month to get this appointment and than called and rescheduled me 3 times, and today when it’s my appointment slot at 11: 15, I have been waiting over an hour to be called by the doctor and no one has called me yet. Why have you opened a clinic, your suppose to help your patients not trouble them.
Now I am trying to call the front desk and the call automatically gets disconnected on one is responding to the calls

I’ve had one horrendous experience after another at this clinic. I went away to school (which my doctor knew about and never expressed to me there was an issue). One day out of the blue she told me she would no longer me treating me while I was away at school. When I approached her concerned about an ADHD diagnosis she asked if I was hyper active as child and when I said no immediately brushed it off. Turns out I have very severe undiagnosed ADHD and am grateful I had the opportunity to find care elsewhere or I may not be alive right now. This same doctor referred me to an eating disorder specialist at the beginning of my struggles when I was trying to get ahead of the situation. I was told since I had depression nothing could be done and now my eating disorder is extremely out of control. I went to an on call doctor once who was probably the most disrespectful person I have ever encountered. He interrupted me and refused to properly examine me. I told him I was concerned about swollen lymph nodes and he told me they weren’t (even though they were on the back of my head covered by my hair and he refused to look). Told me to just take over the counter meds and stormed out. Turns out I had chronic sinusitis that was spreading behind my eyes and to my brain, a potentially fatal disease if not caught early and was greatly contributing to my anxiety and depression. This centre is only concerned with profit - there is no empathy or compassion. The doctors I have encountered here disgust me. To this day I still wonder what my eating disorder would look like if I had been given the proper help when I initially reached out.

I’ve been reluctant to post this because I genuinely believed Dr. Jugloff and the staff at this office cared about me as a human being and a patient, however I have never been so wrong.

While I’ve been seeing Dr. Jugloff for the last few years and she really is very nice, all anyone is to the office staff, nurses and doctors that work here, is a name on a form or on a screen. The staff at this office are unprofessional, insensitive, and should not at all work in health care - or any other job where they have to act like decent human beings.

I have been abandoned, and my mental health has been ridiculed by the very people that are supposed be my “primary care. ” When my mental health distress has been diminished to “ranting and complaining” (yes - a receptionist at this office actually said that to me), I am helpless and have no where else to go in a city like Toronto where healthcare is sparse and hard to come by.

The staff at this office need to do better for the people that count on them.

I have had a very different experience than other patients here. I have never had issues making an appointment or coming in for something. I recently had to get something done, checked in with their self check-in, no issues and hardly waited. Dr Harlicia Johnston has always sent me to wherever I needed to go. I have had phone appointments the last few times, I have my list ready and discuss everything with her. If she feels I should get something checked out, she sends me and the appointments are made. I have been very happy with her as my doctor and going here to see her.

Doctors are OK, they love to bill you for everything they can that's for sure. They love money.
Front desk staff are absolutely horrible. Rude, ignorant and just plain stupid. Etobicoke Medical Clinic should be offering their employees a course in proper customer service.and manners.
Id you can find another place to go, do it. If I could I would go elsewhere. I like my doctor, but this clinic just isn't worth it.

I read all these reviews before I went for my doctor's referral to Dr Zassoko. Mine was a very positive experience. Receptionist in Suite 400 was on the phone with another patient and broke her call to ask if I have an appointment and then directed my to an iPad to swipe my Medical Card and do a Covid questionnaire. I got there 20 minutes early. The doctor saw me at 9: 35 for my 9: 45 appointment. He addressed me by name, examined me, gave me a reassuring diagnosis. He answered all my questions, and said for me to contact him if my condition changed and I would get a minor surgery. I went to my car and realized I hadn't paid the $4 flat fee parking ticket. I went back to the front lobby and asked the janitor where the parking ticket machine was. What a lovely, lovely man! He told me where the machine was, led me to the machine and told me how to use it. I am a hospitality service trainer, and this lovely man is a 5 star platinum service employee. My ticket is stamped 9: 47,2 minutes after my appointment time. It is worth pointing out that they have a one way route for patients, you enter at the front lobby and your exit via the rear lobby and the ticket machine. Slick service, and give that janitor a commendation. Spotlessly clean building as well.

Usually you need to take day off because they will not do everything on time.
40 min and more you need to wait even for yours call app. So bad. I'm loosing my money because of they can't manage their job.

A Dr at this clinic injected my son (a minor) with an unknown substance, without my consent nor knowledge. He never accepted his unprofessional error, but went ahead to threaten me. Seeking for help to address this issue pls.

I am extremely disappointed to say at least. My husband and I went for appointment today at 11. We were there at 11: 10 trying to sign in. And after I signed then and my husband was at the receptionist paying a fee for the last appointment he missed even though he called in telling them that he was in feeling well. After he paid the fee they called him up and said the doctor Bortnick wouldn’t be able to see him because she was with another patient. Although that was our time to be seen. The receptionist barely speak English and can’t even keep up with their own lies. We have been trying to get an appointment for the past month if not longer. It is disgusting that they would even treat people this way. There was no other patient in there since that would’ve been our time of the appointment, and if they did let another patient then then that’s their mistake. Do better! Find better people to work there, because from what I can see on the reviews were not the only people that are not happy with this place. I will personally never go there again!

Dr. Mcfadden is in a word excellent.

Very thorough, down to earth and takes the time to explain things in detail. My family and I are lucky to have her as our doctor.

We love our family doctor. Dr yashida was amazing when our daughter was born and always gives appropriate referrals when needed. The paid parking is annoying and reception can be a bit short and sometimes confusing, but overall, we are very happy with this office.

As a previous PT of Dr. Ng, I can't properly express how much I miss his incredibly efficient care. Dr. Ng treated my husband for years, and myself briefly. His knowledge/recall on my chart/history was impeccable, truly impressive to have a physician come in actually remembering your medical history whereas most docs need to look at their paperwork to recall your name. We've only given up his care after moving to a different city, and honestly wish we could commute to his office for medical care (if Covid weren't preventing this from being a reasonable idea).

Dr. Ng is a rare breed who was born to do what he does.

Receptionists were a complete gong show (deserve -1 star), but that's a minor inconvenience by comparison when you're able to deal with such a dedicated & detailed medical care provider. Who would rather the reverse? The 2-3 star reviews below it seems.

Terribly incompetent receptionists. After calling and confirming, and having them call back and confirm, we show up, they ask us to sign into the computer at entrance THEN after a 10 min wait they tell us that the doctor is not in. They could not find a replacement or a RN on duty to take the case and insisted that I tell them the reason in the waiting room.
This place is filled with liars, the receptionist who called me back this morning was sitting right there and lying through her teeth that she didnt call me this morning and confirm.
Dont waste your time going here.

The failed Canadian healthcare system, a prime example practitioner Nurse Julie. Confidently overlooking and dismissive of patient's symptoms is the new trend here. Miserable practitioners like this should be stripped of their right to practice for turning their back on patients and refusing to provide the necessary health care. A real shame that you can't receive a fraction of attention and consideration, other than from the family doctors.

WORST receptionist ever. I’m an office manager in the medical field, and I am quite literally SHOCKED every time I call this place. Rude, unfriendly, literally a nightmare every time. I have never had a pleasant experience here simply due to the receptionists here. There’s a medical office on every corner, literally find any other one under the sun- I bet you’ll be treated better. This isn’t even new either, this has been on going for the last decade. And with COVID now? HA! Gives them an excuse to be worse than before. The people the doctors employ here are down right awful. I CANNOT stress this enough.

The worst experience ever I have no clue who is writing good reviews here. The front staff is extremely rude, the nurse I spoke with was condescending and after speaking with the Doctor who's confidence was clearly lacking I wonder about the quality of service I would have received had the doctor actually listened to what problems I am dealing with. Clearly I can get better service at a walk in clinic and not have had to wait from November for a June 2 apt.

This place needs a good manager. Physicians, support staff, labs, equipment, and pharmacy are all there. The work processes needs to optimized and streamlined.

Horrible service, the staff still has the gut to tell you, you are welcome to leave if you don't have patience to wait, half an hour later after our booked appointment and still not seen by the doctor. Horrible etiquette!
I recommend new staff up front and better appointment scheduling, as in 30 mins per person. Not 2 people for 9,1 for 9: 15 one for 9: 30.10 is here and we are still not seen by the doctor (9: 30 appt).

As always.receptionists have this misplaced sense of superiority, they answer like they are making you a favour and if they get frustrated because you are making a valid point they just hang up the phone and you are back to the queue. Dr Jugloff is great but you have to talk to your receptionists as they are part of the service you are providing and they are horrible!

This medical centre is perfect for me. My family doctor, Dr Bortnick is friendly, supportive and takes the time to listen. She likes to find alternative solutions to unnecessary tests and drugs. I have recommended friends to become patients and they like her too. I always get an appointment and rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. You don't have to see a receptionist to check in as there is electronic check in. Parking is $4 but it sure beats a trip downtown where parking would be much higher. There is a lab, imagining department, optometrist and drugstore. The family practice offers a wide range of excellent courses and workshops related to good health. What's not to like?

I have been a patient at EMC since 2004. They have been beyond compassionate and understanding.

When Dr. O Dzever left, her daughter took over and I have never been so content with my family doctor.

Dr. Andrijana Dzever is extremely kind, compassionate and really wants to help.

I have various health issues and she is always making sure I am doing well.

I started seeing Dr. Jessica Bortnick for my pregnancy and I could not ask for someone better than herself. She cares about her patients, is compassionate and understanding but most importantly, always smiles! I got to know the receptionists on the 4th floor, the Life lab or the Diagnostic centres and they are all extremely friendly. I was shocked to see all the negative comments but coming from another province, and seeing what their medical system is like elsewhere made me appreciate what we have here!

Only giving 2 starts simply because the doctors and social workers (social workers reception) are great. The receptionists on the main floor are extremely rude and preoccupied looking at recipes or the latest gossip instead of doing their simple job to input appointments/ check patients in. Always a pain in the gluteus Maximus to interact with them can’t wait till their jobs are replaced with computers.

If I could give this facility no stars I would. I’ve been a patient here for 23 years (my whole life) and always had a great experience up until the made changes a few years ago. My family doctor I had to switch to because mine retired was horrible. Horrible bed side manners, messed up my appointments with other doctors within the building which she had no right doing, and messed up my prescription. I was finally done going here when I had an appointment about pain I was feeling in a specific area, and she told me I was imagining the pain, and this was before even doing testing. Super unorganized and horrible bedside manners. If you do go here, avoid Dr. Arin Beter-Goldfarb. Left her office crying many times.

Walk-in service is very slow. (2 hour wait). Regular service is very slow too. (Waiting to be called in is slow and waiting for your doctor in the room is slow). Wouldn’t recommend.

The worst doctors office I have ever been too. My family doctor has always been extremely judgmental and not helpful at all. On top of that you can never get an appointment. You have to wait 2 weeks for an apt and if you need to see anyone else you can’t make an appointment you have to call day of and pray you get a time so your now calling everyday n being put on hold waiting times on the phone. This is quite stressful, doctors are supposed to be helpful not stress you out more. What is the point of having a doctor? Might as well just go to a walk-in. I highly suggest not wasting your time making this your family doctor office.

Takes a long time to get the appointment. Those receptionists sometimes double book the time of the appointment. My time was 11 45 am, instead they called somebody else, but mentioned the name of my family doctor. Because of that I had to wait extra 20 minutes. When you talk to the doctor explaining the symptoms, she says oh there is nothing wrong with you. So in many cases it is useless to go there.

The worst people I have ever dealt with just in regards to registering with a doctor. They don’t do it as a collective when it comes to family members, which many clinics offer by the way, and their organization for handling messages is godawful. This is also my first review since I never bother honestly, but this place is 1.well honestly, a 0 star rating.
And look, I work many jobs and can’t always get to my phone. But if an employee can’t seem to find any information or give an extension number to someone that tried called me just one hour ago to help is pretty bogus.

I love the new building and I really like my new Dr, Lisa Jugloff. She is kind and very thorough. I also like that all tests and bloodwork can be done on site. I sometimes have problems when I call in but generally I would say staff are easy to deal with, helpful, kind, professional and good patient advocates. Highly recommend.

Never had an issue here and Im mor a nice or patient person nd I get angry fast, so I'm not sure why everyone is so negative on here.
Dr. Goldfarb is amazing and she takes the time for my 4 person family.
Parking rates are 4 dollars yes but it's better than 20 in a parking garage. So you are welcome!
This dr. Mathhew NG seems to be an issue but change doctors if he isn't good dont put the whole building down for one person.

This place has its shortcomings: parking can be pricey if you need to come here often. Family doctors have very limited availability, but overall staff are great and my family doctor will definitely make time for me if I need to be seen.

I've personally never had any problems with their administrative staff (I've been a patient here for 3 years now) like other reviewers mentioned, but when they are busy, it can take a while for you to hear back or you might be on hold on the phone for a while.

When I have a minor issue or concern, I really like booking an appointment with one of their nurse practitioners. This allows me to be seen much sooner. They are also so knowledgeable and skilled. The centre has walk-ins for their patients on weekdays and weekends (which you can also make an appointment for). There's also a blood lab and an imaging place in the basement.
