Great walk in… I was short $5 to pay for my appointment cause my health card was expired. The receptionist had $5 in her pocket and said “don’t worry I’ll cover it for you”. Things like that just give me goosebumps of happiness to know there are still kind hearted ppl in this world.

PLEASE CALL AHEAD, ask who the doctor is for the day and if you hear the words “Dr. Kannan Krishnar “ run as has you can the other way.
This doctor will not say hello, he will simply ask “how can I help you” with a stone cold look on his face. He will see you for all of 30 second from a distance and prescribe something that won’t work for your ailment.

One of the best walk-in experiences I’ve had. Spent the morning calling many places that had very long wait times.except this clinic.

Was told over the phone by a friendly admin that wait time was an hour, much less than the 4-5 hours other places were quoting.

A very tidy clinic and the registering process was straightforward and quick. The wait was exactly as conveyed. Dr. Gregory Handrigan was very kind, knowledgeable, and approachable.

This place is a hidden gem (literally at the back of the Pharmasave). It was also quiet even though several patients were waiting. The many shops nearby make it perfect to kill time while waiting.

Thank you for the quick reliable and kind service.

Excellent service all around- Margret at the front desk is the loviest and friendliest receptionist/front staff we have ever come across. Dr. Cole and Dr. Aoki are tops!

I came in for a walk-in appointment and saw Dr. Krishnar Kannan. I had been experiencing intense cold and fever symptoms for 8 days without improvement. For the record, I rarely if ever go to the doctor for colds, and wouldn't have gone in if I didn't feel the symptoms were alarming.

When I saw Dr. Kannan, I think he took one look at me and thought "this young man is here for a common cold and wasting my time. " Either that, or Dr. Kannan was just having a bad day. Dr. Kannan spent all of 20 seconds assessing me, didn't ask me questions about my symptoms, told me to "come back if I was still sick in 7 days" (again, I had had a high fever for 8 days up to this point and told him this. I also told him I had tested negative for COVID multiple times- maybe he didn't listen or didn't believe me). He prescribed two puffers for my cough which cost about $150 and did nothing to alleviate my symptoms.

Over the next four days, my fever kept up and my symptoms continued to worsen. I explained my symptoms (including my high fever) to a friend of mine whose wife is a doctor, and his wife recommended I go see a different doctor immediately. The second doctor I saw quickly assessed that I had a bacterial infection and prescribed me antibiotics. Within a day or two, the antibiotics helped alleviate my symptoms, and by the time I had finished my first course of antibiotics, I was feeling much better.

Unfortunately, however, the infection came back within a few days after finishing my first round of antibiotics. I was prescribed a second round of stronger antibiotics, which again alleviated my symptoms. However, since finishing my second round, my symptoms have again returned. I'm really hoping the next round of antibiotics will eliminate this completely, but I'm very concerned that whatever bacterial strain I have is now resistant to antibiotics.

Maybe I would be in this position anyway had Dr. Kannan actually assessed me thoroughly and prescribed antibiotics earlier, but it's my understanding that the likelihood of encountering antibiotic resistance increases the longer a bacterial infection goes untreated. One thing's for sure, I suffered for four days longer than I needed to owing to Dr. Kannan's negligence.

I understand that antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria exist in the population in part because of the overuse or misuse of antibiotics, and that doctors need to be careful when prescribing them for this reason. I also understand that being a doctor, particularly in our overburdened system, is a demanding and exhausting job. But if you are too burnt out to adequately assess your patients (including those who might not look like the type to get very sick), you need to take a vacation.

Had Dr. Kannan taken the time to ask me questions about my symptoms and taken my description of the severity of my symptoms more seriously and still determined my illness didn't warrant antibiotics, I would not be writing this negative review (even thorough and diligent doctors are fallible, and assessing colds is not an exact science). But I truly feel Dr. Kannan's incorrect diagnosis was due to a lack of care on his part. That's why I'm leaving a one star review.

I came to Evercare because it had good reviews on Google. But I really, really wish I'd seen someone other than Dr. Kannan. Maybe I caught Dr. Kannan on a bad day, but I would recommend avoiding this clinic.

For the record, the receptionist was kind and professional and I would give her five stars.

IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH - READ THIS WHOLE REVIEW!

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a walk-in clinic in the 28 years of my life.

The clinic itself was very modern, clean and the secretary was lovely. (My issue with this walk-in is not the clinic itself, but the Doctor who treated me)

I arrived right at 10am when the clinic opened and was one of the first people to be taken into the back to be seen.

A man named Dr. Krishnar Kannan, who was supposed to be my “doctor” walked into my room, without as little as an indroduction and said “what can I do for you” in the most dismissive, uncaring tone.

I began to explain the reason for my visit (the severe ear pain I had been experiencing for over two weeks) and was trying to describe my symptoms, etc.
I attempted to inform the Dr. Krishnar that I have a skin condition called ‘Hidradenitis suppurativa’ which causes me to get severe, recurring boils on my skin, and that I believed to have a large boil in my ear causing my pain.

Dr. Krishnar completely dismissed what I had told him, ignoring me and even talking over me while I was explaining myself. He ordered me to lay down, and looked down my ear with an otoscope for LESS THAN 3 SECONDS. Said, and I quote “oh yeah, your ear is pretty swollen, you PROBABLY have swimmers ear. ” Told me he was going to prescribe me ear drops and walked out the room with no explanation, with no chance for me to respond, ask a question or anything more.

The medication (ear drops) he prescribed were meant for swimmers ear/ear infection and I purchased them for a whole $38, knowing deep down that they would not work, but trusting the “medical professional. ”

I applied the first 2 doses of ear drops the same day of my appointment and later that evening the pain got tremendously worse. I woke up the following morning to be deaf in the infected ear, as the BOIL that I had in my ear all along had popped, and the puss from said boil had filled my entire ear canal and deafened me.

I went to the Hospital emergency room the next day, where they informed me that I indeed did have a severe, abnormally large boil in my ear that had been causing my pain and that had ruptured. My doctor at the hospital also informed me that if Dr. Krishnar at the Evercare walk-in clinic had actually looked down my ear canal for longer than 3 seconds, or maybe used another device to check, he should have easily been able to see the boil and treat it correctly.

Moreover, the doctor at the hospital informed me that if I had left this untreated correctly (as Dr. Krishnar at Evercare medical had done) I could have become permanently deaf in my infected ear as well as contracted Sepsis.

The doctor at the hospital was surprised and enraged with Dr. Krishnars Kannans negligence and asked me for his information to further report him to the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ontario.

I have never been treated so poorly and with less care than I did by Dr. Krishnar at Evercare medical. I have never received such a wrong diagnosis by a doctor (through his own fault) that could cause such serious, negative implications to my future health and well-being.

I took time off work, spent money on unnecessary medication, and quite literally put my life in the hands of someone who clearly doesn’t care about his patients enough to check/treat them correctly.

If you care about your life, health, well-being and that of your family/children - DO NOT take them to be seen by the incompetent Dr. Krishnar Kannan.

Receptionist Margaret is amazing! She helped me from start to end and was very understanding and attentive all along.

Incredibly rude receptionist. If you’re going to sit there and be rude and unhelpful « on break » you shouldn’t be sitting there at all. I tried calling and no answer. I limped to your clinic 20 minutes to see if they would take me and their on a 2-hour long break - supposedly serving 50 other patients before noon. At least try to be accommodating and kind, you have no idea the pain other people are facing.

I went as a walk in patient with my wife and we both came out having the best impression. The doctor was an excellent doctor and a great person as well. He has the knowledge to do a great job, and truly cares about you as a patient. We had a great experience, as a conclusion, I totally recommend to anyone.

Nobody ever answers the phone, ever! To make matters worse, they're only open on Sundays

This was my best walk-in visit to date. I was in and out within half an hour! The admin was super helpful and the doctor was caring and efficient. So thankful to have this clinic close by.

Staff is friendly.however, disorganized.you have to walk-in to book a spot. Otherwise, you wait for a couple of hours or come by the next available days. I saw some patients turned down because there is no available schedule
It is supposed to be a walk-in clinic. First come, first serve. Could be due to covid protocols before, but it should be improved by now to accommodate anyone with ailments.

I had a great experience at this clinic in the past, but attended today, a Saturday around noon, and they were closed, though the hours posted online indicate they’re open 10-4 on Saturdays. Just a heads up for those also wanting to attend on a Saturday.

Dr Patel is a great Doctor, I am very happy for all of his hard work. He recently found some abnormalities in mothers blood work and was quick to react and investigate the cause. Great person with hard working reception doing a great job.

With all the burnout happening with the medical system I have heard of a lot of struggles happening at clinics and people not getting adequate care.

Not at Evercare Medical Centre! Extremely streamlined system there with quick and professional help.

Reception is friendly and very quick at booking me in along with other patients and working such that people don't have to wait in the clinic if they have particular circumstances. Or are told to come back later at a better time - other patients seemed to be well accommodated and pleasant too.

The doctor saw me right away and listened to my situation. And provided me with the necessary care, prescription and lab tests.

Follow up was very quick by phone and exactly how the doctor and reception had explained to me on my first visit, did not have to chase down.

So far literally a 10/10 experience. Glad my new home is near such a reliable resource.

Excellent and thoughtful service from their administrator, and Dr. Cole was attentive, knowledgeable, and compassionate.

Dr. Patel does not hear or does not want to hear what patients say about their health concerns, pains, existing medical conditions, previous health history. He will prescribe a medication that the patient cannot take for health concerns. He becomes rude and short tempered if the patient tries to tell that to him.
