Great hakka food and very fresh! Not many places with this style of cuisine within Toronto itself, so it's a must for any spicy Indian/Chinese food lovers

Very awesome place, such good service. I am sorry I did not comment sooner as I promised. But we got delicious chili beef, and got complimentary dessert with gastric flowers ontop and I forget what it is called, was so delicious. My boyfriend and I come when he is in the area here, and I just been craving it so much again so I order Uber. Thank you, and I forget the nice server man name, but he is always so awesome and polite. Namaste

Order took 45 mins to come. There was no water offered. Once we asked, water cane 40 minutes after as well. The food was okay (no utensils were provided).

Overall, very bad experience and never coming back again. I think they should just convert it into to-go place. They are not capable of running this restaurant style.

Had family come over and ordered takeout from this place. Spent over 150.00 worth of food here. Because I am feeding for 8 people I asked for extra soy sauce. Initially he hesitated and then went back and got me two small packets of soy sauce. After a few minutes of conversation finally I just said I’ll pay for extra soy sauce. He gave me an additional three packets and charged me a dollar. With the amount of food that I ordered, I think it would have been appropriate to add 6-7 packets of soy sauce. Definitely the last time I come here as I did not want to have to explain why I need extra soy sauce or pay for it. Would recommend china cottage to anyone as their service and food is better.

Everest is one of my favourite hakka places and am really glad I live close by. I typically get the veg biryani, chilli chicken, manchurian veggie, manchurian noodles and another item on the fly. I don't think I've had a bad dish here to be honest. If you're dining in, the staff is also very friendly and welcoming.

Looking forward to going back!

I visited the place for lunch special But the quantity for the the price they charge is a rip off. They charge me almost $14 for half of the plate (container) Maybe dine is a good but look out for a lunch special. Taste was ok for chilly chicken there was more gravy than the actual chicken pieces and fried rice was ok too.

Very delicious food have been coming here for the last few years now and the quality has never dropped. Came by this week during peak hours tables were full, they managed to squeeze me and my girlfriend in and still brought the food out fast. Exceptional service and very polite and kind.

Although the staff are friendly and professional, however the food is not good at all. We had chicken corn soup, friend fish and rice. We didn’t like any of them. Thr spices are the table and thr pickles seems to be there for ages—nothing looks clean at all. I am disappointed and for sure won’t visit again.

Amazingly delicious food! First time in last 3years was able to test a proper Indian-Chinese food. Ordered soup, Schezwan fried rice and noodles and it was so delicious with peoper Indian spice level. Very happy and will definitely visit again very soon.

We went yesterday and loved it. Best Indo-chinese in GTA. We tried their pineapple chicken fried rice and mixed hakka noodles and their shrimp Manchurian. Shrimp Manchurian didn't taste like Manchurian but was very good. Both noodles and fried rice were good. We have a lot more to try and we are going back there. If you haven't visited do give it a try. Parking might be a concern if you are going on a weekday.

Been there twice and taste is pretty good and reasonably priced. Good menu too. If you are looking for indo Chinese cuisine around Lakeshore. You know where you can head to. And they serve water in copper glasses which is pretty cool thou. The place also has bar too.

Peaceful place. Been visiting here since 3 years. One of my fav Indo chinese place. Schezwan noodles are my favourites.

I have been here a few times now and they have consistently knocked it out of the park - great food and service - whether it be take out or dining in. Thank you Everest Hakka House!

The food was fresh and tasted amazing. The chili chicken dry was by far the best we have ever had!

Our go to place for hakka. We always get the manchurian, hakka noodles, some sort of chicken dish and spring rolls.

Very best fresh food, my favourite Hakka. Consistent quality. During COVID time they were still open and going above and beyond to make us happy. Owner is friendly gentleman, provides water for pets like your dog. He is always smiling and very polite. I could not recommend enough, my favourite on lakeshore.

This is some amazing Indian Hakka I have had in a while. The service is super fast and food is really tasty. Loved the Veggie Hakka Noodles and Chicken Manchurian. The Egg fried rice too was great

The person waiting our table was very polite and accommodating.

I would definitely visit this place again. Worth the travel and hunger!

EDIT: after almost two year of being a regular, I now have to change my review: today, our Dragon balls had no sauce and no cashew. When we called for it to be corrected, we got excuses instead, and no solution. I can’t afford to gamble when I dine out, will it be good? Will it not? Who knows! If you are unlucky and get a bad one; they won’t replace it…. ️
Costumer care is even more important than the food you serve, I remove three star ️

Very very good! The fish pakoras were delicious and the Everest Special Beef was to die for! We ordered everything spicy and were not disappointed. We can't wait to go back!

We decided to try this new Hakka place. Generally when we love a place, its difficult to leave your goto place and try something new. But Everest Hakka didnt disappoint. We tried a lot of things here but the one’s we loved the most are:
- Dragon chicken (best appetizer)
- Chicken Chilli (If you like it smoky then this is the one you’ll love)
- Singapore fried rice (its the one with fried chicken in it and the rice is long grain which separates)

The owner was so nice and welcoming. Give it a try, you wont regret.

We are regular there for almost two year, we always order the same thing, almost every weekend, veg dragon balls and veg Hakka noodle.

Today, the dragon ball were extremely disappointing, no sauce at all, and no cashew as usual. When we call to talk about it, we got the saddest excuse ever. ‘Oooh yeah we make it dry so it is not soggy’’ …. We have been ordering it for almost two years. We KNOW how it is suppose to be, and it is not suppose to be like this. An appropriate costumer care answer would have been ‘’oh! We are sorry, we can offer a replacement if you come pick it up’’ or ‘’then next one will be on us, we’ll leave a note linked to your phone number’’. But we got an excuse, acting as if they did no mistake.

It is very disappointing, and after two year of being a regular, I don’t know if we will order back.

Ordered twice from them, on the first day we had mixed noodles and dry chili chicken which was really good but today the chicken lollipop and gravy chili chicken was not at all tasty. So the mixed feelings and 3 stars. I would definitely like to try the first combo again and some other items as well.
The quantity is ok. The service is good.

Stellar Experience! Went with a co-worker for some food a few days back.

Ended up starting with Chicken Lollipop's, which we enjoyed alot! We both agreed that those were some of the best we have had to date.

Moving on to the main course of food, I got the Szechuan Shrimp Noodles, along with a plate of Kung Pao Chicken. My buddy ordered Szechuan Chicken, with the House Special Chicken Rice. We both got everything spicy, and it was beatifully hot. We enjoyed the heat, and had enough food that we couldn't finish it all in the end.

Raj was the staff member who helped us out, he seated us, served us, checked in with us occasionally, and in the end, provided us with takeaway boxes to pack the leftovers. We also chatted about our variosu origins which was fun.

Definitely a worthwhile experience, at a small little spot on Lake Shore, that is worth a try, and I will be revisiting.

Opening up the patio again would elevate things even more.

Just comparing this place to its former self a few years ago when I lived in the area.

Felt the food has been tweaked to more North American standards and wasn't as flavorful and delectable as I'd grown to love it here. Maybe it was just the weekend rush, but will definitely give them another shot considering I really liked them!

Also, judging by some other Hakka places in the GTA, more generosity in the portions for the prices charged would not hurt, though the lakeshore location must come with a premium!

Super genuine, polite and friendly customer service.

4 stars as the experience was closer to a 4 than a 3 - thanks to the individual/s on the phone and helping customers in the restaurant.

Beware of the food they serve, its horrible that me and my family got diarrhea past 2 days and we had stomach pain as well. We have had the food in the past but believe me this time the food tasted sour and it had a weird taste. I dont know if its the freshness, if they are serving food been their fridge for days and days due to the pandemic but beware of their freshness and the taste you will notice, please take care guys!

Combining two of the most flavourful foods together, Chinese & Indian, you get mind-blowingly delicious Hakka food, and there is no better place to get great Hakka food than Everest.
They have lots of vegetarian options. Love love love their Dragon Veggie, Gobi Manchurian Dry, Sweet & Sour Paneer, Chilli Paneer Dry, Hot Garlic Veggie and of course their Hakka noodle.

Long Travel, jet lagged and Quarantined in Toronto. I just ordered the best Chinese food in town on Uber eats. Good Quantity and Quality and delivered on time.

Must try. Influenced by reviewes, I gave a try. It's a best pick. Food Was really fresh and tasty. I'm delighted that I found a restaurant which is promising. I will continue to order from here.

Very disappointing, food was flavorless and unsatisfying. Nothing special and we didn't enjoy it.

Tried Chilli chicken gravy and Egg Shrimp Hakka Noodles
Taste was good. Chicken was tender unlike many Hakka places, hence seems fast moving busy place with fresh food.
Shrimps were juicy but didn't have the flavour needed to be fried a little more.
Typically expected the thick noodles and not the thin ones which surprised me.

Service - 4/5
Had trouble finding parking spot due to construction. Person was very warm and tried his best to be helpful. Unfortunately I got Egg Shrimp Noodles instead of my original order of Veg Hakka Noodles. We didn't mind the upgrade. But called back to inform the same, he apologized.

I will try to order again soon hopefully when I drive towards Etobicoke. Not my usual area for take out.

Amazing Indian Chinese place I came across in Toronto. Ambiance is pretty decent. On the other hand, food is just out of this world. We ordered for chicken lollipop dry which was tasty, healthy chicken legs, marinated and cooked to perfection. Hot and sour soup was mouth watering, spice levels were at par. Chicken Hakka noodles along with Chili chicken was just amazing. To add on to this we also got shezwan chicken fried rice and hot garlic fish gravy. Both were equally good. Overall amazing place for Chinese food! Must visit.

Hands down the best hakka food in Toronto! The dishes are each made to order and taste amazing. The staff are the sweetest ppl ever. Everything I've had here has been tasty. I have brought and recommended this hakka restaurant to many many ppl who have all loved it and now make it their go to hakka restaurant. There is a good quantity of meat and veggies options and there is also alot of street parking around the restaurant. Love this place and will always be my go to. Keep up the awesome work.

It’s always been an amazing experience here. The staff is very polite. Clean place and the food is delicious. Its a must try restaurant.

Was intrigued by the great reviews and stopped by with a friend for supper. I have eaten Hakka dishes before but my friend had not.
The server was wonderful and helpful in explaining the dishes and making suggestions. We ordered a crispy chicken, a noodle and a vegetable dish. Loved them all! We ordered them as 'medium' since we were not sure how spicy they might be. Plenty of heat and a very tasty blend of spices made for a most enjoyable meal. Highly recommended. We will be back!

Soup had no flavour (lacked spice, tang, and salt). We ordered the hot and sour soup and it tasted nothing but bland. Only item that was delicious was their lollipop chicken. Everything else had no flavour. Hakka food typically would have more flavoring. Gobi app was ok however it was not accompanied by any dipping sauce to perhaps enhance the flavours. Rice dishes were nothing special. Crispy American chop suey was great in texture but also lacked flavour and spice.

Food was very delicious as always and quality of the Food and Restaurant was maintained well. I would reccomend everyone to visit this place if u want to eat a authentic Hakka Chines food.

Loved this place huge menu and good service. The food was prepared relatively quickly on a packed Sunday evening. Definitely going again.

We got the beef and manchurian fried rice. Nothing out of the ordinary. It was okay. This has nothing to do with my experience but I just find it odd that we went on the Saturday night where it's supposedly the most busy, and there was like 2 other tables being used, that's it. I guess it's a slow week?

Awesome food. If u r looking for chinese food with indian touch, then this is the place. It will remind me of our local chinese food stalls. Dry chili chiken with mixed noodles, it was awesome. They deliver also. Nice people too. Will go again n again. Keep it up Everest:)

Great place for authentic Hakka food! It's hard to find really good Hakka food outside the east end of the city so I was very happy to discover this place in the west end. I had the Chilli Chicken and Ginger Vegetables which were both amazing. Very hospitable people and would definitely return!

Had amazing fresh hakka food! Paneer chilly dry was the best dish! It was so crispy and tasty! Best indo chinese restaurant in the town!

Price was fair. Service was slow and seemed very unorganized and staff had lack of communication. The female server was extremely nice but management needs to figure staffing situation because they were clearly under staffed for a Friday night. Food was mediocre with very small portions. I have no idea how this place is 4+ stars. Will never come back again.

Veg corn soup is ok but I did not like it my friends did not like it that much too may be kids can like it give it a try

Service is little or majorly delay because they maintain with few chefs and order takers make sure to constantly ask them and see that your total orders are not missed sometime they miss few orders too if they are too busy just a heads up

Small place can fit may be 25 people if full house

I have been here for like 4 times since 2016 the food quality gradually reduced watch out for that too

If you like not end up in the emergency. Stay away. Ordered from Uber eats. Had their chicken garlic and fired rice last Sunday only to suffer from food poisoning later spending my night in the hospital and the next 2 days on liquid diet.

Food was nice and delicious. Exactly like the hakka chinese available in India. Their noodles though are a lot thinner than hakka more like the singapore noodles.
The serving size was also good. Its a small restaurant but a nice and cozy one.
3 stars only because of the staff. While we were eating she took out the vacuum cleaner and started cleaning the mat right next to our table.
There was still half hour left to their closing time. They could have clearly waited for half hour more. Seemed very unprofessional on their end.

Gem of a restaurant. Was recommended by a family member to go here for the lunch special and not disappointed at all. The venue is small but clean and good atmosphere. The portions are very nice and big coming with a starter soup, spring roll, main course with either rice or noodles and a sweet dessert to finish the meal. The gravy is better than other hakka places where I often find it to be very thick where as Everest manages a lighter thinner texture which doesn't leave you feeling bloated. Very good!

Went there to get a takeout. Place looked run down and the carpet needed a vacuum. There were two couples eating there. Was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Half hour later still not ready. Was told another 10 minutes. Asked for refund and server obliged. Can't figure out the delay in cooking as there seemed to be enough cooks in the back. I've been to many Hakka places and have never experienced this. China Garden in Brampton is probably the best, but Everest prices are even higher than them, and they don't include rice. Previous reviews have said that portions aren't that great here, so maybe I was lucky not to get anything. I left disappointed at wasting my time. The counter guy/server was nice but didn't know what okra was. LOL

Found this place through a review search. Ordered Szechuan Hakka noodles. It came with chicken and shrimp. It was fine but definitely short on meat. When the guy handed me the takeout container it felt like there was nothing in the bag! Flavor was okay and I’m not familiar with the difference between Spadina Szechuan and Hakka, but the Spadina experience is way tastier (to me, anyway). Service was very friendly. Wait time was fine. Price was average for a small place like this, $13.50 after tax. Again, I didn’t feel like the value was quite there. At this price for takeout from a small Chinese place, I at least want to have a chance to feel full. Maybe I’ll try a rice dish next time.

Tried them for the first time. Service was very good. Waitress was actually knowledgeable about dishes and directed us well towards items we would like. Chili chicken was ok. Crispy but still with sauce. Wasnt a big fan of the sauce however. The HOT GARLIC CHICKEN was actually very delicious and i would recommend it. I wasnt a big fan of the house chicken noodles. It was ok at best. The manchurian soup was interesting different but good. The FISH PAKORA WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and perfectly cooked. Crispy not overly done that creates that hint of bitterness and practically melted in my mouth. The drinks were fairly priced. The food portions left a bit wanting and the prices were a bit higher than expected but all in all a good experience.

One of the best hakka food places in the whole of Toronto! Value for money. Decent sized portions. Very courteous staff. Definitely 5 out of 5.

This is the second time that I have have been to this hidden gem. If you are a lover of authentic Hakka cuisine you will not be disappointed! They seem to be a no frills restaurant, whose focus is fresh, delectable food.

We ordered the chicken lollipops (saucy), hot and sour soup, american chopsuey, schewzwan fried rice and the chilli beef, my personal favorite was the chopsuey and the lollipops but every dish was absolutely delicious. If you have the pleasure of meeting the owner Mr. Venkatesth, you are in luck, a genuine, humble human being, who's passion is food, which is clear. Frankly did not even know that he was the owner as he was helping his staff even clean up the tables.

I will definitely be going back there over and over.

The food is fresh and tasty. A nice place to spoil your taste buds. The thali is has a good variety and fills your stomach. Service is prompt and good

This is one of my favorite restaurants around and they make an absolutely amazing fried rice which is very similar to Indo-Chinese or Lankan-Chinese dishes from back home. I would highly recommend this and they are also available online thru delivery apps.give them a try and you won’t be disappointed!

Visited for fourth time today. Food is close to the Indian hakka. Spice level meets the expectation. Chicken drumstick is a flop though. Ordered rice and noodles alongwith chilli chicken. Liked them.

Lunch special is amazing. Soup and a big plate of food for only $8.99. The chili chicken is amazing, the best I've had so far. And the food is proper spicy. I can usually handle quite a but of heat but medium is the most I can go here.
