Food was very good but it was extremely noisy and the service was very slow when we could hardly speak among us.

Our company had a Lunch and Learn in which EVO catered individual lunch boxes for each of the colleagues. We pre-ordered from a selection of 15 different lunch options. All were beautifully packed in boxes with ribbon and tissue paper. The food was fresh and perfectly portioned and included a sandwich, salad, dessert and fruit.

We have been ordering from EVO since it opened. Usually we order take out approx very 6 weeks. The food is always delicious. The reason for my low rating is the take out process. They give you a time to pick up the food and it is NEVER ready when you arrive. I usually wait 25-30 min for them to get it together (we do not toast ourwraps). We are getting tired of it. EVERY TIME we go in-we wait from a MINIMUM of 25 mins. That is way too long. PLEASE have it ready for people when they arrive. We pay a lot for the food.

I placed an order for catering of their boxed lunches. These, during the pandemic, were an absolute life saver for my staff and clients to have a personal meal.

I placed an order yesterday and made a mistake on the date of my order. Even though this was a last minute order, I called just before they closed and Karen amazingly made an accommodation to have this order filled and delivered at the new date.

I am so very happy with this company. They continue to impress me and I would recommend them to everyone.

Wow! What an amazing atmosphere, great food and spectacular service! Willem was funny, knowledgeable and took care of our every need! We’ll be back for that Apple Butter flat bread!

Worst places I have been in Canada.
Unclean water in the drinking bottle served, unclean plate and table, chipped plate, was what I experienced on a Saturday morning. Restaurant management needs management lessons.
Server named Austin is a gem and needs a raise to work here.
The one star is for the Bacon wrapped dates dish; they’re good and I can’t star (review) them individually.

Went for a nice lunch today, very good service. We were warned ahead of being seated that a large group would be next to us and possibly noisy, was nice to be made aware and we were quickly served before the large group arrived and ordered. Wraps and quinoa salads were our selections and we were both pretty satisfied. Only one option for soup and originally no options. Menu has several items that offer salad or soup. Would suggest having at least two soups per day during the winter months!

Attended musical bingo upstairs. The place was packed, folks were having a great time. Service was a little slow because there were so many attendees, but the staff were fast and friendly. Will return.

Wonderful night of bingo. Service was pretty slow as they were very busy. Maybe they should get another bartender or a few more servers for these super busy nights to speed up the service to match the amazing food and atmosphere.

While I understand Saturday nights are a busy time for a popular restaurant, it definitely was not busy enough for the poor service we experienced. The food was okay, nothing special. Our server was very nice when interacting with us, but most of the staff members did little interacting with their tables. The manager on duty was not very professional. If Cambridge had more dining options similar to this restaurant but with better service and food, I doubt it would be as popular as it is.

Our server had a great attitude, very welcoming and warm. Evo Kitchen has an open concept and appealing interior space which just adds to their quality. We had a late lunch there and we were very satisfied with the our choices.fish tacos and our chosen pizza were delish. The only thing that wasn't up to par were the fresh veggie spring rolls, just a bit dry. Otherwise, def worth a try!

Friends and I stopped in for Dinner. Glad we had a reservation, it was very busy.
Service was good, not rushed. Great menu and drink selection.

Stumbled upon this place while walking around Cambridge. We stopped there for a quick lunch and we loved it. The staff was really friendly and timely. The drinks and the wraps were delicious.

My coworkers and I came here for our Christmas dinner. The staff are lovely, helpful and very charming. I definitely regret ordering the pad Thai because it's definitely not their best but it was still edible, definitely overpriced though. However the rest of the food and drinks that arrived were phenomenal.the bacon wrapped dates are sooooooo good!
I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and I will be going back!

Had a boxed lunch, it was mediocre at best. The sandwich was crushed flat due to the drink being put on top of it. The brownie was hard and dry, it seemed almost store bought. The salad was tiny and it didn't help that they provide a absurd amount of dressing, I used less than a quarter of it.

Ok spot, food is mediocre really, don’t think they grill their own chicken or make any of their dressings

I ordered the chicken spring mix salad, I topped it with Artichoke and Asiago caponata. It was sooo good!

My fiancé and I went to Cambridge to look at prospective places to move to. We’re from out of town so naturally we wanted to scope out the neighbourhood and look at all the amazing historical architecture downtown. When we came upon EVO we were enticed by the facade and wanted to go look inside. When we entered, there was no hostess stand, area or indication to wait to be seated. A girl ran up to us immediately and asked why we were there and we explained that we wanted to have a quick beverage and see the restaurant. She scowled at us and told us that without a reservation, we couldn’t be accommodated and that there was a band upstairs and we couldn’t look upstairs. Fair.

I used to work in hospitality for over 14 years. From hotels, to bars and fine dining restaurants. I thought the idea of hospitality was clear - a friendly and generous reception of guests. I did not feel this when I went to this place. We were not offered even menus or the opportunity to book a reservation. I honestly felt that the hostess perhaps looked at me like I was some sort of alien. Very disappointed with the brief but notable experience had here.

I have had the pleasure of ordering EVO Kitchen previously and the food has always been delicious and fresh! Today a large group of us got to eat at the restaurant and I would like to highly commend our host Heather and the manager for their excellent customer service! They were super accommodating even though we had to increase our reservation last minute due to an unexpected situation. The food was excellent and we couldn’t have been happier with their service! Highly recommend! Will definitely be back soon!

Food was amazing. We were seated quite quickly and the food came out promptly. However, the customer service wasn’t great. No one came to ask us how our food was and we had to signal for a waiter to get us our bill and to go boxes.

Today picked up a pre- ordered, selected from their extensive menu A.lunch for four women to celebrate an 80th birthday, the food was delicious, especially the bacon wrapped dates and the flatbread. We had a delightful time and E. V. O.had a lot to do with that so thank you.

I absolutely love the ambiance of this place! The food is incredible and the service is top level. Hailey served us last night, and she totally surpassed any expectations that we could of had. From start to finish she was wonderful. She was great with the kids and just lovely to interact with. Barry, Mike or Taryn… whoever is in charge of hiring … you’re spot on!?

We ordered the Valentine 4 course meal. We were so pleased with the quality and quantity of food and great value! It was ready within 15 minutes of arrival and was lovely and hot when we got it home. Thank you EVO for a memorable Valentine’s Day!

Very chic place for a casual lunch with the girls. The flat bread was wonderful. The service was quite slow though which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. We may have caught them on a bad day but it wasn't busy (3 tables occupied) We will be back though.

Limited food menu but awesome service. Food was tasty and very nicely presented. Buffalo chicken wings were hard and my companion did not finish them. Restaurant was very chilly but lots of comfortable seating. Mid range price wise. Access from the street is up 3 stairs with no handrail. Lots of parking available.

Afternoon road trip to historic “downtown Galt” with EVO as our lunch destination. The interior space is a grand sight (pardon the pun) and they are taking COVID precautions seriously.
Once seated we ordered our libations from the most excellent server MJ who had a great knowledge of the menu and had some valuable recommendations. I had the last remaining lobster salad with fries and my pal RJ ordered his favourite salmon and bagel combination.
My Jackass IPA was a solid choice as was the lobster sanny with some some top notch frites. RJ enjoyed his lightly toasted bagel with capers on the side (he would have preferred them on the bagel) and we even had room for dessert (well not so much room as much as they looked great and MJ sold us on two great choices).
The sticky toffee was borderline sublime and the cheesecake was light and melted in your mouth. We enjoyed great service, excellent food in a setting that can’t be beat. A nice wander around the area topped off a great afternoon getaway with will likely be repeated soon (likely with much better half on a weekend).

Had the pleasure of Dj'ing a wedding upstairs tonight. Beautiful venue, great staff. Hope to be back again sometime soon

I had lunch at patio today. It was nice weather and fantastic food. Raspberry white chocolate cheesecake and sandwich was awesome!

I truly enjoyed the events they host on the top floor and I loved the environment there. The food is amazing but choose wisely. It may be hit or miss if the meal isn't what you really want.

I've been here a few times and the food is always delicious! I really like the Maple Chicken Wrap and the Spring Mix Salad. The Lobster Focaccia sandwich and Halloumi Fries have also been delicious!

We waited 20-30 minutes for a server.
The server took our order and delivered apps. She didn’t visit our table until it was time to pay the bill. We were as patient as possible considering the times.

The Buffalo chicken wrap was very cold.
The flatbread and fries were good.

Great food. Sandwiches are top notch. The quinoa salads are especially tasty. Everything we had was delicious. Staff were very good.
Definitely a place to check out whole in town.

Wonderful food for any occasion, with great staff and a gorgeous atmosphere (both inside and the outside patio during COVID-19). My husband and I were married here and love to grab lunch or dinner together here often. Since we got married in 2018, it's still one of our favorite places to grab delicious food at an affordable price.

Food was excellent and a great value. Comfortable patio and atmosphere. Service was slow but the servers were friendly and trying hard to please. Looking forward to the next time.

Picked up 4 lunch box orders for back yard visitors. All were first class and complete. A real treat on a sunny afternoon.

I placed an order for a corporate function and made an error on the order form - EVO Kitchen staff went out of their way to accommodate my mistake and deliver an almost impossible ask.

The food was perfect, every detail was accurate, and they did it on an accelerated timeline. The feedback from the team was so positive, and they all loved their meals. I will definitely be ordering from here as often as I can.

A side note - the peanut butter stack is my absolute favourite, and I always choose my own order based on which box includes this dessert.

So much potential but service was bad despite being slow. Food didn’t really have flavor. Had to ask for hot sauce a bunch of times to make it taste better. Had to beg people with me to continue eating because it was taking so long. They finished their meals before I got the sauce. Disappointing.

Nightclub music in the middle of the afternoon should change. Otherwise, great place with good food and friendly staff.

Not gluten friendly. The only option for sandwiches or wraps was rice paper!? ! Not a rice flour wrap but actual rice paper, so weird and gross. You can buy gluten free bread and wraps anywhere now and freeze it. My wrap was also 50% alfalfa which didn't matter because I didn't eat it due to the sticky rice paper. Too bad because the place seems to be gourmet/hip/healthy, I went there assuming I wouldn't have an issue. Please, if you are reading this, order some gluten free bread from the gluten free bakery in paris, its excellent and you can freeze it, offer it toasted as all gluten free stuff is way better toasted. For wraps, you can buy gluten free corn tortillas from fresh co, you get 50 for $5 and they also freeze well, they do need to be heated and pan fried or pressed. Also, label the menu, its so easy and really helps out your customers and your staff. I'm no chef or expert but I do live with celiac disease and if you want help making the place more celiac/allergy friendly I would totally come down and give some advice. Would have been 5 stars if I was rating solely based on my daughters chicken wings.

Building is very attractive and our sandwiches were fine, but I was really frustrated that none of the three giant bathrooms had a change table. I don’t complain when little restaurants with tiny washrooms don’t have one but these washrooms were gigantic and I can see no reason they didn’t bother. Not too nice to have to leave my meal to change my baby in the trunk of the car.

Friends of ours ordered catering for 60 and the food was incredible. Everything was ready at pick up and there were leftovers to boot!

90s themed Bingo night was by far one of the best nights you can have on a weeknight! The atmosphere is so much fun, the food and drinks were amazing, the spontaneous dance party was absolutely everything. Your Thursday nights need to be at E. V. O!

Cozy place with good music. Employee is polite and helpful. Food was great, served fast and there are super tasty options for vegans. I really liked when they asked me "if you are vegan I can switch your sauce to a vegan one". This is very thoughtful and respectful, thank you for the great food experience!

This is a great lunch spot. The food is so good, decor is simple and pretty, staff is nice and the love of is great. I'm a huge fan.

Like the ad says, this bistro is chic. It's set in old Cambridge with historic textile mills and the Grand River in the background and easy parking. I had the chilli lime chicken wrap, and a cranberry quinoa salad with small chunks of sweet potato in it. The wrap was one of the best I’ve had with a creamy lime sauce and what I think was a touch of yogurt. The tortilla was crisp from the grill and the chicken tender. The salad was sweet with cinnamon and came in a big bowl that looked scary but tasted delicious.

The place was busy and the lineup long, but the service was quick and the staff were attentive. I enjoyed my lunch and I'm looking forward to returning when visiting family in Cambridge.

We tried to go here for dinner for the first time, and were extremely put off and disappointed by the [lack of] service. There was no direction of what to do (like no “line up here” sign or “seat yourself” or any indication showing what kind of restaurant it even is) and there were no other customers inside, so we just went to the counter to presumably order. We stood there for 5 long awkward minutes with absolutely no acknowledgement by any of the 3-4 girls behind the counter, and then went to cafe 13 instead —where we were immediately served.

I am very disappointed by this first time experience as I was hoping to make EVO kitchen my go to lunch place. It’s unlikely I’ll be returning after this experience.

Delicious fresh food. Great atmosphere. Reasonable pricing. Soup, salad, wraps it was all great. Quick service too, order at counter but feels upscale. There was someone playing guitar and the old building all created a nice atmosphere. Two hours of free parking right next door.

Didn’t find it to be worth the price, food was mehhh, I felt I could have made a tastier wrap or sandwich at home. My friend’s quinoa salad (side salad) was very soggy and looked unappetizing, she did not eat it. I appreciate the healthier options, but feel they could be much better tasting. Overall value could be improved as well as using in-house filtered water to offset the local water taste, which is pretty bad to many people who aren’t from around here. I gave it 3 stars only because I did eat from EVO once when they catered an event I attended and the food tasted much better than the food we had at the restaurant. Otherwise I would have given 2 stars.

Sandwich, drink, fruit, cheesecake, and soup at a great price and in a wonderful space. Definitely going to come back. Maybe next time I will time it with the filming of ' the handmaid's tale'

We ordered the food a few times though UberEats. Most excellent spanakopita, the best I ever tried. Deserts aren't too shabby either.

Food was good, and decent portion sizes. My husband and I got the box option, and feel it was worth the price. Yes, slightly pricier than other places, but not unreasonable. Staff are very friendly and heloful, and service was prompt.

Atmosphere is cozy, though is a bit chilly. If you're going on a colder day, I'd recommend a sweater. I also didn't get hot water in the washroom, but my husband said he did so maybe my experience was a fluke.

This place serves mostly sandwiches, wraps and soups. They are good but for me this is not everything. I found the ambiance a little too uncomfortable, meaning it was a little cold and the chairs and benches are not great. I went in for lunch, there was no wait line and service was fast. I also did not find any value in the extended "box" lunch which adds a few things to your sandwich or wrap. They currently do not serve any alcoholic drinks but I understand it's coming.

I have eaten here several times, one of my favorite places to eat. I have yet to be even the slightest bit disappointed. The food is always top notch! Coffee is great, love the atmosphere. Maybe they don't have 100 things on the menu, but what they do have they make they make well. Highly recommend, I love it here.

EVO is an incredible place, and the owners and staff are simply the best!
Perfect for a lunch date or just to have coffee and sweet! But additionally one extraordinary place to host a function! My husband and I got married here this past March. They were fantastic to work with, their food choices are outstanding, and they even work with some of our own ideas to make our day extra special. If you are planning anything from a wedding, birthday, shower or anything I highly recommend this unique space with their outstanding staff!

Their boxed lunches are amazing. This was my second time ordering, very easy process to order, the delivery always comes right on time, and the food is great. Arranged nicely and comes all wrapped up in a bow. My office was really happy with their lunch today:)

This is quite a great place. It was very enjoyable to walk in and see what they've done with an old building. Looks really funky yet classy and Industrial.

They were doing a bridal shoot in the upstairs today. You can rent that for weddings or parties or anything you like.

I found the main level inviting, cozy with couches and the huge live edge table tops were pretty cool. It's really well done. The food was great and the coffee was super. Not a huge menu but what they do, they do well.

I take people there whenever I can. I love to share this place. The owner, Barry, is a super nice guy as well.

My toddler and I were visiting Cambridge today and could not get into this restaurant at all. It is NOT accessible for a wheelchair or stroller and the entrance that would be accessible was padlocked with a table blocking the second entrance to the patio (Isn’t that against fire safety rules?) I stood outside and tried calling several times to ask for assistance and no one answered the phone. The establishment was not busy at all during the time I was trying to get in and feed my little one. I do not recommend this place at all and will not be returning on our visits to Cambridge.
