If you have eye issues like myself (dry eye) this is the place to be. Dr. Annie changed my life - the first eye doc to actually listen to my struggles and was very thorough in assessing and treating me. I will say appointments are usually not on time but it’s worth it for the level of care you receive.

Went here a few years back.poor service, guy dilated my eyes for no reason and did a poor job.couldn’t see for a few hours, wouldn't recommend

I’ve been going to EyeDocs on Kilborn for too many years to count. They have always given me the best service possible.
I want to give a shout out to Dr. Nathan Stolch. He has been with me during my big issues such as detached retina and always reassures me when I think my sight is declining.
This week I had my yearly exam and thought my sight was declining. Lo and behold, my sight has improved and my contact was too strong. With my new contact, I see so clearly…. It is a gift!
Thank you Dr. Stolch, you are professional and kind. You have no idea how my visit made my week.

We called them first thing in the morning and see them for an emergency eye issue and we were told that none of their locations have appointments. If they are not able to provide emergency eye services they shouldn't advertise it on their website.

Hard to recommend an establishment that informs you of a problem they have with you, then ghosts you during the call when the *first* thing you do after learning that is trying to contact and talk with them respectfully and politely about it to see if a resolution or compromise can be reached, and then terminates you the same day as a client from all its Ottawa clinics and optometrists.

Customers have a right to ask reasonable questions about services, costs, products, and safety concerns before paying for services. “Reasonable” can mean different things to different people. There was never any intent to cause offence nor trouble.eyeDOCS said they terminated me because I made too many “repeated requests for information” but I only sent two question e-mails spaced three weeks apart and I hardly called and I was willing to be patient for them to answer.

I appreciate that eyeDOCS answered the questions in the first e-mail but it ignored the 2nd and everything went South from there. It’s the number and maybe the types of questions in those e-mails they didn’t like—and I tried my best to be as succinct as I could be. (I wasn’t even planning to send a second e-mail originally but some new questions arose and I also had a follow-up question.) The vast majority of questions are easy to answer, requiring minimal effort.

Two-way communication is important. Don’t appreciate being ghosted and marginalized without being afforded any meaningful opportunity to try and discuss and resolve the problem or find a compromise. What is the world coming to when there is no meaningful room for polite discourse to try and resolve issues? ! Are people supposed to live in fear and be afraid to ask questions? ! There needs to be more tolerance and understanding. I feel stereotyped and discriminated against unjustly.

Ideally I would like to be allowed to return to eyeDOCS as they have services I am in need of and some are not (to my knowledge) available at other locations in Ottawa. There are several optometrists that work at eyeDOCS—I could see someone else there instead of the person who terminated me if I was allowed to return.

Since discourse with eyeDOCS is impossible due to being ghosted, complained to the College of Optometry because I’m not ok being marginalized and treated like this—we’ll see how that goes. Will try and update this post (if allowed to by the website) if things go well.

I am very pleased with the care I have gotten at EyeDocs. I have never felt rushed and feel confident with my diagnoses. Thank you to Dr. Eric and staff.

Called today for an emergency eye care. The lady on the phone told me they don't do emergencies. My eye is swollen, red, hurts when I blink and I have blurred vision. Next availability to see me for an emergency is in January. An emergency is an emergency? If you can't go to your optometrist for an emergency, who do you go to? On their website it says: ''Eye emergencies can happen at any time. The eyeDOCS team is here to help you find the treatment you need. If you think you are experiencing an eye emergency, contact us right away. If your emergency occurs outside of business hours, please proceed to your nearest emergency medical clinic or ER. '' False claim. She told me to go see my physician and my physician told me to go see my optometrist. Physicians aren't as trained to diagnose eye problems. No empathy and no will to accommodate. Very disappointed in the service.

I have been going to eyeDOCS Killbourn for over a decade up until COVID, and have been very happy with them. Then everything got put on hold and finally two weeks ago, I decided to pop in to see if they could fix my very broken glasses. I also wanted to make an appointment to get my eyes checked. My optometrist happened to have an opening so they saw me right away. I wouldn't go anywhere else - I trust them completely - the staff, from front desk through to the pros, are knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming.

Friendly staff. Dr Stolch was very thorough and friendly. I was disappointed that they don’t require masks in a medical setting. I am compromised and I am very careful. I had to ask one of the technicians to put a mask on and she did. Many people and staff without them. No one in the area where they sell glasses had one on so I will be going elsewhere.

This place is extraordinary: retinal scans, medical history; vision test, lenses, etc.

However, it is Optometrist, Carolyn Fyffe, who holds much of the corporation's value. Not only is she clever and approachable, but she knows her stuff inside out. In fact, she knows more than all our previous doctors combined. She listens very carefully before describing one's problem.and how it can be fixed it.

My husband and I highly recommend the the Kilbourn location.

We wish continuing good luck to this EyeDOCKS, and to its success.

I have been a long time, happy, customer here. Very regular usage. Today however was an exceptional case. My glasses broke. Cannot drive without them. So went in to get help. They gave me a replacement right away, by putting my old lenses in a new frame. Great service.

We contacted this place of business to kindly ask if they would be able to accommodate a patient who has a medical mask exemption. They confirmed that they do not honour medical mask exemptions, no exceptions. Unfortunately, we have a family member that has a medical condition and is unable to wear face coverings. Even after explaining that the bylaws in Ottawa allow for exemptions, the answer was still that they could not accept the patient for exam or care.
I guess our family member is not entitled to eye care.
Very disappointed to see this happening in our city.

Dr. Nour is fantastic and excellent with kids. Kind, explained everything was patient and fun. Our family won't go anywhere else. All the staff are friendly and knowledgable. The office is immaculate with a welcoming atmosphere.

Wrote a review 2 weeks ago. Issue resolved on arms on glasses. Above and beyond with Mark at Westboro. New glasses which cost only extra for frames last week. Mailing down to States to me at no cost. Sending to me today. Thank you. Very fast, exemplary service. Much appreciated. Spent an hour and a half with me. Can't believe my glasses ate ready as they are custom with all the bells and whistles.

What a joke, they found a way to mess up every aspect of there process,
Called me up 3 times to do the first part,
Optitian giving wrong prescription, the frame lady giving wrong prices, and get this, when I whent to go pay, looks like they got another client just before me to pay for MY bill!
Can you believe the incompetence

Like many others that commented I was given the wrong prescription. I don't think Dr. Irani listened to my needs he was more interested in upselling me on eye drops. I had seen Dr. Charland at this clinic in the past and he was wonderful. My insurance won't cover a second examination so I am out the cost of a new exam and the cost of these useless glasses I got.

Save your hard earned cash and go elsewhere. Went to Preston, had my exam and purchased a pair of glasses, went back two weeks later and walked out with the wrong prescription, went right back to complained and was told they'd call when the right glasses were ready. Two weeks later nothing, called them and was told they had made a mistake and would have to do them over. Finally got the call and went to Preston, only to be told they were at Kilborn. Went to get them on Kilborn and was told they weren't ready yet, waited an hour or more and was given my glasses. I started wearing them immediately started getting headaches, burning and watery eyes. I stupidly wore them for two years and finally had enough. At the end I was able to see better without them. I had my eyes examined at the trainyards and the Dr.there checked the glasses and told me they were to strong! Guess what - the wrong prescription, imagine that! Went back and was basically told tough luck. Be smart and go elsewhere, remember you've been warned!

If you need to see an specialist, do not go there. They will do only the basic check up and they charge you for what you don't need.

Ana at Kilborn was shockingly rude to me. She looked really upset that I interrupted her quiet Thursday afternoon by bringing my business through the doors. No greeting nor goodbye, no eye contact, only rude blunt responses - even though I was sat in the chair in front of her. That was the worst customer service I received in Ottawa. Front line staff, on the other hand, always go out of their way to help.
Now because of Ana's unsulting behavior I will make sure I pull my family out of this clinic. Looking for eye doctors who hire staff with reasonable courtesy.

No stars for Kilborn. Was kept waiting too long at my first visit a couple of years ago, but gave them the benefit of the doubt and made an appointment for another checkup, which I just walked out of after waiting intolerably. How can they have fallen so far behind for an 8: 30am appointment? They are optometrists, not neurosurgeons. No thanks. If they want me to pay $150 I do not expect to wait. It will be quite easy to find a more personalized independent optometrist office and ditch this franchise operation called eyeDocs. Also, they never answer their phones, they expect you to leave a message and then they call back at an inconvenient time when I don’t have my calendar in front of me. No thanks.

Quick, efficient, and very well educated. Overall this place was able to give me the time and information I needed to help improve what I was experiencing. Great experience by Dr. Eric Desgruseillers and Dr. David Featherstone.

Great service and professionalism. Never have to wait long for my appointment. Not to mention if it wasn't for them I'd have never gotten my scleral contacts for my keratoconus which changed my life. Overall great place.
