Leanne was BEYOND helpful when I couldn't decide which sandals to get for a wedding. She even suggested I bring the dress in for a fashion show haha. Next time, when I have more time for sure! Also the store itself was clean, and I always find the shoes here cost less, than to get the same at other stores.

Nela from Factory Shoe Store on Upper James served me and found the perfect Birkenstocks for me after she explained the difference with the other brands. Later we returned and she assisted my husband to find the perfect work shoe for his needs. Nela was friendly knowledgeable and professional during the entire time. Great employee.

Went in looking for a pair of shoes I could wear all day standing at work. The girl that helped me was nice but she didn’t seem to have too much input on what shoes would be best. Then as I was trying on shoes I could hear one employee telling a new employee all the work he did was wrong. She was so rude to the poor kid it left a bad taste in my mouth.

After visiting 2 other shoe stores, factory shoe had what I wanted and for a decent price. Should have came here first.

I was thoroughly impressed by the service I received at Factory Shoe at the Upper James location. Nela in particular was very helpful and knowledgeable on the brands they offer. She helped me find a suitable pair of footwear for my mother. Also, Nela has helped myself and my family on numerous occasions. In fact, whenever myself and / or my family need a pair of footwear we always count on her for her expertise. She has a positive attitude and exemplary customer service skills! Thank you Nela!

Okay selection and service. Manager was needlessly hostile when we couldn't find the proper shoe box. Didn't give me much desire to shop here again.

Nela is a lovely Romanian lady who helped me tremendously. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kinda, patient and very helpful. Highly recommend her and the store.

I ordered a pair of Clarks Leisa Grace sandals from the Factory Shoe and was very please (and impressed) by their speedy delivery. I love these sandals, they are the third pair I bought (in different colors) as they are so comfortable! I bought my first pair 3 years for a trip in Europe in which we walked and walked for days and these sandals were so comfortable, I had to buy more. But I just paid less than half the price I had paid for my first pair from a store downtown Ottawa) BONUS!

Staff were helpful but as a male looking for a no slip shoe for PSW, their selection was very limited. Got the shoe I wanted, but would've love to see more selection.

I've never bought shoes here before but decided to try out a pair of Reebok work boots. They fell apart within 2 months and when I took them in they credited me without any hassle. 10 out of 10 for service. Great selection to choose from.

An old lady with short hair and tattooed eyebrows that works there treated me with racism and disrespectful. When I asked for help she answered with a disgusted tone, without looking at me and ran away really fast. I have heard her talking differently with another customer.

To the "lady"without a vest sitting at the middle desk today. Your ignorant, I was polite an unfortunately new to the store. Luckily the two other ladies were professional an understood my unique situation (buying shows for a kid with wide feet & without laces) The commercials are misleading I didnt really see the "deals" I expected, compared to regular competitors. Sorry but you get a MEH!

Convenient curbside pickup during this lockdown from the Coronavirus. I ordered a pair of sandals for a couple hundred dollars plus tax on top. The website said my order would be ready in 1-3 business days and it only took 2 days, very fast. The quality of the sandals seems good and they are very comfortable, great support for my feet when walking. When my order was ready they emailed me and also called my phone. When I arrived at the store and called the phone number on the door and gave my name and they brought my sandals out right away within a couple minutes, very fast. This is my second time buying sandals from this location and I'm very satisfied. Thank you.

Friendly helpful staff. Their online order process for curbside pickup is efficient with low wait time.

Great store, great friendly staff. I drive from Georgetown several times a year. Just ordered and received Birkenstocks for the summer on line. They had exactly what I wanted and shipping was free and fast. Always a good experience.

I love this shoe store I only get up here maybe two times a year but every time I go the staff is very helpful.

I am so impressed with this place, I received the absolute best customer service from Diane at the Upper James location. She helped me order Birkenstock’s in my size and shipped them to my home up north. I was so surprised when my shoes arrived the very next day! Great experience, can’t thank you enough for your help!

I've been looking for a comfortable pair of crocks for some time now.looked in 6 or 7 shops, with no luck.finally, we were near Upper James Street today, and to my astonishment, they had what I needed.should have started here FIRST.got the help I needed with great staff.even double checked that both shoes were the SAME SIZE.how do you like that?

The experience was great, and the shoes we extravagant lots of verieties. Liked everything except they didn't have any suede Clarks in stock at all. Sadly

Always good selection of sandals, boots, runners, and fancy shoes. Lots of name brands to nike, Adidas, under armor, new balance, reef, and so on. They usually have good selection of clearance items to so definitely worth checking out. Customer service is great and taking lots of measures to fight covid. Would recommend to take a browse.

Was racially profiled by this white woman who couldn't stop following me around the store. Shame on this store. Will NEVER go back there again.

Sales people were helpful in helping me find the size I needed and in aiding me pick out the most suitable pair. Store was neat and tidy.

Service Supreme
Although the items I was looking for were sold out or available in other Factory Shoes, I wss overwhelmed by the number of helpful associates. More associates than customers.

Fairly straightforward layout for mens section at least. Good sanitation stations around store.

"men's" safety shoes only go down to size 7, selection of "women's" saftey shoes was abysmal, ultimately less than 5 choices with a steel toe appropriate for someone with small feet, none of which are suitable for my workplace.

Wide selection! Only problem was that when I asked an employee what the best foot wear was for support she had no clue. She went to go ask someone and she showed me the types then walked away. I asked another employee for help and she told me the same shoes but didn't help me with sizes or anything just walked away, really nice girls just too busy for a customer

They had a good selection of shoes I was interested in, salesperson Judy was polite, very attentive and helped me find the right work shoes.

Over priced. Looking at VANS, Timberlands, Adidas and many brand name sneakers and boots finding only a discount of $10? Many of their brand name items are actually selling for double the price on Amazon. However to be fair staff were at least courteous and helpful.

I needed shoes for the family, and all I can say is their selection is the best. Friendly environment, the most kindest staff around.
