I visited with Dr Bhati at the eye centre. Great. Great ophthalmologist. His personal staff is excellent. It is a centre for a few doctors. The general staff has a frequent turnover rate and the junior staff who carry out tertiary tests can be hit and miss. Dr Bhatti has made giant leaps with the student tertiary staff over the last 10 years. Once again his personal group is excellent.
Yes, We went to Swiss Chalet, at the Fairlawn Center. The food was excellent; however when the rains hit wasn't such a good time. The parking lot had so much ground water that when I tried to get to my car I had to walk through ankle-deep puddles of water. It's not my idea of fun!
As always prices are very competitive, size and quantity too large for a small household. But the last 2 times they’ve being too aggressive promoting their membership upgrade, they take your card to check “something”, after a few minutes waiting they come back with the great news that for more money upfront they’ll give you a coupon to get a discount. This gets tiresome. Don’t let them check your card
Nice place! It has come along way from just a grocery store and a Canadian tire in the 90’s. But with all the new buildings on the property parking has suffered abit! In the summer it’s not as bad but come winter the snow gets piled up and they lose spots making the lot very busy and hard to find parking. Other than that the mall has lots of good stores!
Harvey's was open during the initial covid crisis period. It's a great place. Burgers taste better but are generally more expensive than other fast food places.
LCBO, Beer Store, Shoppers, Bulk Barn. Harvey's and Swiss Chalet. Great One stop shopping. The TD Bank usually has a Huge line outside since COVID-19. Carlingwood Shopping Center right across the street. U can park once and get absolutely anything u need.
Was at Swiss Chalet. Our waiter Mike I believe, short blond hair was amazing. Attentive and very welcoming. Top notch customer service. Food and portions were fresh and delicious. Great experience. Ask for Mike as your waiter. Genuinely nice guy, great service.
Could use better good options.full of Staples like Staples, LCBO, beer store, shoppers drug Mart.severely lacking in good options.collonade makes a decent pizza but everything else is overpriced. Harvey's is great but this location usually doesn't participate in brand specials.will continue using this mall for the Staples but would visit much more often if better food was available
All you want in a hurry's is there and Swiss chalet is nextdoor you have a beer store right across also pharmacy everything that you need is in that area
Fairlawn Plaza offers a generous variety of stores and restaurants for the days you seek something different! You can eat, shop, and plan a party all in one row! The only drawback is the parking lot has become atrocious since the addition of new stores.
Not a place to visit unless you are heading to a specific store, a lot of places to head to though like Stables, Shoppers, Party Mart, TD and Canada Post.
Well, in a wheelchair, it can be a chore to get around. Not enough ramps off sidewalks, had me turning around to find which way was not blocked. Firstly, 3 large "recycled grease containers" blocking a ramp beside the Harvey's Restaurant. They are a fire waiting to happen. Why they are even allowed is obviously beyond my "pay grade" (ahem! Mr Watson!).
Renovated a few years ago, this strip mall with accompanying box stores is easily accessible from Carling and both side streets. Parking is adequate and the range of stores is quite comprehensive (Shoppers Drugs, Staples, LCBO, Beer Store etc.) considering it's only a medium-sized plaza.
It is what it is. A nice place to grab stuff you can't get at Carlingwood, but like Carlingwood, had a whole bunch of stuff you don't need and not a lot of what you do.
Good plaza. Not great access to parking lot areas and typically some traffic backup due to this. The strip mall style can be convenient but having the main drive along the front entrances is not conducive to smooth traffic flow and poses more of a risk to pedestrians especially with a walmart which drives a ton of traffic to this location.
